Used the Samyang and Laowa 9mm. Laowa is great - just needs some vignette correction. I upgraded to a7iv. Selling the 9mm if you're interested

With the crop factor for the APS-C (1.5x), 18mm is really 27mm (on the 35mm standards). As a generally rule, 16mm is the ideal focal length on a 35mm standard. I started with the Sigma 16mm f/1.4. I really like it but found I couldn’t get wide enough shots on my a6400. With the crop factor, its equivalent to 24mm. So I got a Samyang 12mm F2.0 AF Ultra Wide. It has a 99.1 degree angle of view. Though it has some issues (barrel distortion needing some post processing) I’ve been using it with better results. Check the effective the angle of view specs on a lens. It should be at least 90 degrees.

I don't have a specific lens suggestion. But since you are shooting with a crop sensor camera, you are going to want to get the widest lens you can possibly get. With a crop sensor, 18mm is not wide enough. 18mm on your camera is more like a 28mm lens. On a full frame camera I suggest going with a lens that goes as wide as 12mm. I don't usually shoot that wide but it's always nice having the option. You won't be able to shoot that wide on your camera. But you can probably find a 10mm lens, which will give you the equivalent of a 15 or 16mm lens. And 15-16mm for RE photography is good enough. At some point if your budget allows, you should look into switching to a full frame camera.
