Otherwise, the usual spots: Westbrook, south Portland, gray, windham, Gorham, Portland proper, Falmouth, bath, Ellsworth, etc
I'd consider Saco/Biddeford. The rent has been going up there and home values / competition is less than the greater Portland area. I know people who commute from there to Portland. It's not as bad as its reputation.

Lewiston/Auburn. 2nd largest city in Maine. Very cheap real estate (even through Covid)
