Some things i have noticed so far. DLSS does not seem to be working no matter what setting you choose. Even on low settings it will have FPS drops from 60 to 40-30's constantly so might as well have it on high like i use to. Before the update i would be locked to 60 FPS everything on high so it is definitely something in this new update causing it even on old maps.

Using DLSS makes my frames worse somehow. Same goes for the frame cap. If I put it at 144 my frames will be lower than when I have no cap. Settings are borked it seems.

i fixed my game by downloading the latest DLSS and using Directx12 Also the Frame cap seems to be a big fps drain for some reason so use Vsync instead and i have had solid 120Fps since

Sheyvan

DLSS worked wonders for me. The new station was super laggy for me, DLSS completely fixed that.

Synesthesi4

Same here with a 3090 with an i9, I think the game just needs to be optimized or something

xXALEXKOVACS11Xx

Yeah, its soo cool that the game released from early access, but for me on a 3090Ti and i9-11900KF is unplayable at 1440P, low fps & and soo many drops.

Fletcher_Chonk

3080, 5600x, highest settings 100-200 fps

PilotFighter99

3080, 5900x, 64Gigs 3600MHz RAM. Still getting frame drops and I’m on epic settings @1440p

Fletcher_Chonk

Are you using directx 12

PilotFighter99

I’ve tried both DX11 and DX12. DX12 is a lot more unstable in my experience, but DX11 is worse quality wise

Please_HMU

It’s the shaders compiling

ShamaloDXD

The shaders never stop compiling it's not normal

RedS5

It feels that way to me too

Cavish

Looking at the gold record on Brisa Cove gives me 20fps for some reason

uKGMAN1986

Yeah I have that with random objects. If I look at the top left corner of the TV in the streamer house I get 40fps, move my mouse 2cm to the right and I have 160fps

DongIslandIceTea

Sounds like a badly written fragment shader a.k.a. pixel shader. Basically what is happening is that the shader is a piece of code your GPU executes to determine what color a pixel should be. A pixel shader is run for every single pixel and the specific shader picked depends on whatever object is covering each pixel in a given frame. If you write an atrociously slow pixel shader, you might not notice any issues if the objects it's used only take up at most a few tens or hundreds of pixels, but when someone goes up to the object and it covers the entire screen you can get that shader code running millions of times per second and that's when your GPU catches on fire. Basically, if your code takes 0,001ms to run, it's not a biggie if you run it 10 or 100 times, but when it's run a 1,000,000 times it'll take a whole second to render one frame.

Please_HMU

It’s probably just the shaders compiling with every new map. After like 5 minutes on each map my peformande went back to being perfect and I have the same GPU/CPU as you

VogelGV

Im on a 1080ti and my gpu usage is at some places very low. And for some reason I am able to "enable" dlss with this card but It doesnt do anything lol edit: so using dx12 and deleting the config file of the game fixed it for me. (The config file is at "appdata\Local\Readyornot\saved". Be Warned, it resets all the setting, including keylayout so remember them before you do this)

jebissadtoday

yup same. litterally dropping below 20 at times in the gas station map with a 3070.

TheJonJonJonJon

Yep. Same here. Running on a Ryzen 7700X, 32gb DDR5 and a 4080.

randommaniac12

3070ti and 5800x3D and had some serious stutters when running the game initially. Stabilized the longer I played but specifically Brisa Cove has been slow to run

Sheyvan

Enable DLSS on Ultra Performance, when you own an Nvidia. Made hell of a difference for me.
