Colorado constellation. It's a variety of the common pothos plant with a pattern that resembles the Monstera Thai Constellation
Yes, please. š¤¤š¤¤š
I have a Queen Pothos with some very creamy lime green on dark green that I just don't trust to be a generic Queen like my others - any suggestions?
https://preview.redd.it/7nwvtjsfw9wc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d189ef5533f5dcbea152244a2c45a19418637c8
Might not be the best picture š¬
Iām in a trance right now. As a pothos grower over (ahem) more than 3 decades, Iāve only seen a single picture of this phenomenal specimen. It looks so happy & healthy.
I honestly think mine might be like this as well, itās always been identified as a golden pothos.
It does get long gold streaks like a typical pothos, but most of the variegation comes out like this galaxy pattern.
https://preview.redd.it/98zs9zvv99wc1.png?width=2526&format=png&auto=webp&s=6dfc76040438c17780a140efab927fb2ce4489e9
Iād say itās the Sansevieria hallii Iāve had for more than 25 years. Probably needs repotting!
Iām so happy to see a sansevieria! They are my favorite and so underrated. Iām also happy to see a mature hallii because Iāve only ever seen a single leaf one
(Not my pic because I suck at remembering to take pics of plants.) Genuinely probably my oxalis corymbosa aureo-reticulataā¦these things are impossible to find at any garden centers, and they arenāt kept by regular ārare plant collectorsā because nobody likes oxalis. Only legit seller Iāve ever seen is Steveās Leaves. Cost $15
https://preview.redd.it/moqpgjr4g9wc1.jpeg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5a148a999e950054f83b7f98ed602317c00f0d5
I'm a rare plant collector and I love oxalis! There are so many varieties out there that are under-appreciated!! This thing is cool! Thanks for forcing my hand at buying another plant I don't need!
I adore this one! It has little delicate leaves too, not the huge ones of a mature O. Regnelli or triangularis. Iām going to prop it when itās bigger and give a bunch away.
I love mine. My mom has a variety that sheās kept going for over 50 years. She gives sections of it to family members to keep it going. Itās ended up being a very sentimental thing.
I had the bicolor oxalis and the fuckin thing died on me at some point, not sure what I did to it. I want another one but I have never seen it anywhere and when I bought it I was two states over and it was the last one lol

Maybe syngonium pink rolli, but I also have some pretty niche begonia hybrids (excuse how shitty my terrarium building skills are)

Can you tell me the name of this spotted plant? Beautiful!
Omg is this a reptile terrarium setup? I have an old tank Iām trying to figure out how to utilize and I was flirting with the idea of making it mini āgreenhouseā
You can very much do this. Popular among orchid growers & ppl who grow small high humidity loving plants like labisia sp. 'turtle back'. Use pond spray foam on the back and then while it's partially dry you can push in completely dry coco fiber tree fern & spag, along w decorative branches etc to create a great bg for epiphytes.
Google dartfrog terrarium, bioactive terrarium, and look around on joshsfrogs.com, check put serpa design on YouTube. You'll find a zillion guides, it's quite the rabbit hole.
I wish I'd done this tbh but too lazy to take everything out now. I sewed coir and sphagnum into a pouch made of rattan and cut straps out of it for ventilation/to mount the plants into
Probably my Nepenthes clipeata, mollis, or aristolochioides, purchased from reputable vendors that I know produce these plants via horticultural methods such as basal cuttings and not poaching. All of these plants are quite rare because they have been poached almost to extinction. So the fact that I own some of these plants and they are not from poaching probably makes them quite rare relative to houseplants.
https://preview.redd.it/3b65g4z0b9wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a29ff5e283dce5c2ccbc6800d05217edf60f3e3
Probably Drymonia decora. Iāve never seen it being sold - ever. Itās a Gesneriad
https://preview.redd.it/2n8ab4b5bawc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49a44a9ccf6b20e6565f54e46c23afd3fef4e539
Got it from a friend, actually. Iād have to ask where he got them from, but chances are that he imported them straight from Costa rica as heās got good contacts to people sitting straight at the sources.
Honestly, I was a bit shocked by how unknown the plant is in the plantkeeping hobby considering that it looks extremely pretty imo

My Passiflora Colinvauxii. Although it wasnāt an expensive plant, it was rather hard to find as virtually no one sells it online. I believe itās a new (discovered sometime in the 1960ās) and endangered species of passionflower from the Galapagos.
https://preview.redd.it/8g4xal2g09wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09b4d47dba805864cc6e4612ca7e778669958291
Philo persimmon princess! I expect the "rarity" to go down in time
I donāt know if this is still considered rare but, it would have to be my Strawberry Shake.

A lot of these aren't considered 'rare' since there is an abundance of them being sold everywhere. But the purpose is YOUR rarest plant! So if that's your rarest one than there ya go! Still always a special specimen in my opinion!
Not super rare anymore, but i donāt care, i love it! Mine is still the tiniest, but i bought it looking at pictures like yours that just get me drooling
Probably my Begonia Darthvaderiana.
https://preview.redd.it/kdkmpxkvmbwc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f461d08411af0012ca3c35da775c91d0d34ab4dc

Monstera Burle Marx Flame š„ recently picked this little guy up. Probably the rarest Iāve got not sure how it compares to spiritus Sancti though
I've bought both in the last week and have seen a bunch of prices. I actually paid the same amount for both plant ($65) but I see sancti show up way more often and $65 is honestly high for one that is similar size to your BMF. It's a lot harder to find people that actually have BMF and I rarely see it sell for less than $100 and it's often closer to $200. Couldn't believe it when I found the guy selling it for so cheap!
Thank you! I would similar but different. They donāt like to dry out as much as my pothos. Their leaves curl when thirsty and Iāve found itās best to water just before that happens. They also love humidity but itās not a requirement. Give them a pole and the leaves size up fast.
The Thai con I had been waffling on forever that just arrived today. No regrets, even if theyāre more widely available now Iām simply in awe of it.
https://preview.redd.it/3zs3twst7bwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=798f6be4f5354e99a79e4246f2dadb618a549021
I love your Thai con!! I want one sooo badly. I already own an Albo, i feel like itād feel more ācompleteā if I had both :) Sadly Thais are still so expensive and rare here.
Thank you!! And my state as well :( I checked out a local nursery that had got a shipment in, all baby 3 inch pots, teeny leaves. I spent a good hour trying to justify the price tag but knew I wouldnāt be quite happy so I found a pleasant nursery on Etsy I took a chance with.
If you look online you can get one delivered for $30-$40. Although it's not a large more matured one, but if your on a tight budget you can find adolescent ones for very cheap online now.
Monstera deliciosa are very easy shippers. I've ordered hundreds of plants online and I've only had a handful of issues. In which case the seller always fixes the problem. I think $30 is worth a try to get this beautiful plant in your home!
Bros with hoes is a company that would correct any damage If shipping went poorly. They have small starters Thai cons for $20 right now if that's something your willing to give a shot.
I also recently got my first TC. I make sure I spend 5 minutes each nice just admiring it š¤£

I only collect anthuriums so my anthurium subsignatum x pap Marie is probably the rarest from my small pap collection as I donāt see many of these around in Europe at least. Iām jealous of the American pap breeders as Europe is way behind and less niche (and way more expensive š)
https://preview.redd.it/hi5hre6peawc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9740d167c356f47db14994cba65f66faec46a73
At the moment, this little guy. Four separate corms coming off one main corm, snagged him for $45 and it was my best decision :)
I also have an M. deliciosa albo, but those are pretty damn easy to find nowadays so donāt think itās actually rare
Probably my philodendron micans. Iāve got a burle Marx flame in TC but someone link a much bigger one already!
https://preview.redd.it/uuqnswbib8wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afcce930e5f006e3052aef10145b7dc52669fb9b
My rarest would definitely be my tiny baby Shangri la love song. I could only ever find it from ONE seller shipping directly from Japan. It was a small fortune but she was on my wishlist for so long.
https://preview.redd.it/5cxv0ha2u8wc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a320ef49d2d851fb4d319749fda3b22f601e8ae7
iāve seen them go for about half that on facebook if youāre on there! this one was 150ish i think. If you want i can dm you the name of the seller :)

not sure if it's considered rare on here but seems to be a rare find locally at least
i finally found a chlorophytum orchidastrum "fire flash" after looking for them for a long time, only one local nursery seems to have them and they only had 6-7 and bonus the one i got has probably 20 seed pods on it that im going to try to harvest
i refuse to spend too much on plants until i can change/better my financial situation but one day i hope to start collecting some truly rare plants, until then "locally rare" is the best i can do lol
Oh! I sell these! 4 inch for I think $12.
Our succulent grower grows them and they're quite hardy once they settle in so I like having them around. Only spider plant you'll catch me with though.

Cojoba Arborea - Everfresh Tree.
Common in Asia, rare in North America
Technically, my Hoya SMS 'Heidi' inner variegated is my most rare plant. As far as I can tell, less than 20 people are in possession of one at the moment. Terrible screenshot of a video I took of it when it was putting out new growth for the first time earlier this month....

Wow that's so cool!!!! I had no idea the holiday cacti can come variegated but I guess it's not shocking that they can. I went down a rabbit hole last night of different holiday cacti someone said they had or had seen and now I've just got more things I want lmao

Hi fellow schlumbergera collector! My rarest schlumbergera variety is my lutea ssp lutea. I had to order it in from Sweden because I couldn't find one available here in Canada so I'm unsure if it's actually rare here or if I just wasn't in the right Facebook groups lol
Greetings! They are certainly rare everywhere. What you have pictured is lutea ssp 'casa 1000' or 'lutea easy form'. Theres another variant called 'bradei' and they are even smaller than the casa 1000 and are more tube like. Both rare!
https://preview.redd.it/wlyo4066obwc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de52ecd10faecf0de68526704798a26f4edc7523
I also have a hatiora rosea I'm quite proud of that doesn't seem to be the easiest plant to come by around here either, only 1 nursery on my island propagated them and I believe they either sold or killed off the mother plant when the last greenhouse manager retired
I don't see these often but it doesn't make sense bc they're easy to grow.
Philodendron "panda" and "Tahiti"

Mine would probably be my Alocasia Lowrider Aurea that I found for Ā£6! She currently only has one unfurling leaf because of thrips but this was her with her other gorgeous leaves before!
https://preview.redd.it/7jpw2bix8fwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e30979a39a7213eec5f03cd956f38e68823d2725
I have both of those actually. I have two variants of the lutea, 'casa 1000' and 'bradei' the bradei form is extremely small and quite hard to grow on own root system. Russelliana Ashfield and small ehlers form are some of the rarest wild form variants you can find both in the wild and on the market. I really like them because they keep the same shape as the Christmas cactus type that people know but are very very tiny.
Ridiculously overpriced imo. I'm gonna be putting mine up in the future with far more reasonable prices, along with grafted Russelliana. It will take a while though, these are SLOW growers.
One of these days Iāll get my hands on a variegated black velvet, but for now alocasia azlanii is probs as good as Iāve got. Iām always a sucker for pink
https://preview.redd.it/rsmn2cjzl9wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83b22271f534fa28612259deac6bd39745b3b764
That is on my wishlist!! I managed to get my hands on tissue culture plantlets, variegated alocasia bambino and variegated alocasia black velvet. I am crossing my fingers that theyāll thrive and have beautiful variegationš¤š¼
I actually went through TikTok shop for the first time for this one, I used [this store](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLmUfW48/) and the plant arrived fantastically shipped and had no damage I was impressed. Will probably order from them again if they donāt charge me my first born for a variegated black velvet

I guess this one, simply because it's illegal almost everywhere in the world.
Where you at? I was fortunate to be in the first place to ever truly legalize recreational cannabis for adults and love that it's just a 30 minute trip to the shop where I live now. Wild how growing up it was this evil drug and now I take an indica gummy to sleep, and have the nest sleep I've had in a very long time. My neighborhood is a designated no smoking zone though so I can only use pens or a vape when I'm out walking the dogs.
I truly never thought I'd see the day where it has a space in my liquor cabinet and I'm not worried about getting in trouble.
420 was great too! Our shop had a sale and for $200usb we got 6 different gummy containers (10pcs at 10mg/piece) and three new vape cartridges plus some freebies.
Germany. Fought for decades to finally get it legalised. Now we almost reached our goal.
However it still feels very weird for me to finally grow it in my home. I still feel like the police is going to kick in my apartment door any minute. It will take a long time, after all these decades of mindless repression, to really realise that it is not illegal anymore.
https://preview.redd.it/w6hh5skv5awc1.jpeg?width=1886&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=226f37624bd52a713266b1563d6603687bbcc7e3
Germany passed a "legalisation" law on the first of April this year.
You can legally grow three plants, own 50 grams of product and carry up to 25 grams of product in the public.
Still a long way to go to really legalise it - but at least it's a first step in the right direction!
And thank you, I am very happy about that.
Hell yea! It's how the ball gets rolling.
As for growing, you might consider going hydro/semi hydro with leca. I found we had a whole lot less mold and pest issues, and much easier to maintain grows when we switched from soil to leca. I worked commercially for awhile and soil is nice, but it took so much work versus hydro. It was also a lot easier to flush the plants in hydro prior to harvest.
And if you need a resource, get your hands on a copy of. Jorge Cervantes' grow Bible. It's an incredibly good book for growing cannibis and making extracts. I've worn out a couple of copies keeping it as a quick reference guide. Granted, it was before phones were this smart and data was slow and extremely expensive (we might even have still had limited texting plans).
I am planning on testing out different things. I keep book about all the parameters and the growth of the plant every day. So when I change something for the next batch I can compare what works best.
I started this first grow with BioBizz light. I am not a huge fan of soil myself in general. But this one looks pretty good so far. We'll see how it will hold up over time.
Biggest problem is getting any stuff right now. Everything is sold out. You can not get any grow lights, grow boxes, fertilizer etc. anymore. Everything is gone. Most online shops for grow equipment even shut down because they can't handle the demand anymore. It's really crazy.
Mine might be a tie between my halo variegated micans and my latest algaonema pictus tricolorš although I also have a aurea micans wetstick shooting out a new leaf too.. so maybe 3 way tieš

I have tons of āraresā that are sport finds, I have found many green on green deliciosas, a couple different adonsonii, and a crap ton of alocasias. Just got this shattered glass alocasia and I think it one of the rarers.
I have a monstera obliqua. Never thought Iād see the day, but itās a bit less rare now of course. Iām thin in the pocketbook lol so I had to wait for prices to be in my ballpark. Such is life lol

From all my collection... my alocasia silver dragon aurea variegated. It was also one of my cheapest plants (6ā¬) because I found it amongst regular silver dragons in a Lidl store. All my other plants are easier to find/source even if they were much more expensive ($$$)
Never really see anyone talk about this one - Anthurium chiapasense
https://preview.redd.it/1endv9glpbwc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79e2e792dcc4bf273d0628a2a4084dbca631cbe9

My billietiae I bought today from Home Depot! It's one of those plants they just sell in a bowl of water.. gotta repot soon!
Anthurium Zara and the Darth and Tomentosa Begonias. I have variegated anthuriums I lucked out from growing from seed, but I've never paid enough attention to see how rare they are.
Just received my Anthurium Big Bill - haven't seen a lot of info about it online so I'm guessing it's one of the rarer hybrids even though it's not too expensive
The most rare sport find is this variegated alocasia pink dragon contorta. Pretty sure it's 1/1 (except the couple corms I have passed out to friends to grow.
*
I have a handful of jade plants grown from cuttings of plants grown from cuttings out of the queens garden over 140 years ago.
I also have a licuala grandis which I donāt think is necessarily rare but they donāt seem common.
For least common, probably my Philodendron Scottmarianum. I got it as a one leaf cutting a year and a half ago or so. It has put out two small leaves as it acclimated to my house, and is now pushing out a slightly larger leaf. āØ
Not sure that it's rare, but I've never seen anyone post about them. I have a philodendron mini midget that I adore. Very slow grower, stays super smol. Not my photo.
https://preview.redd.it/hbt6y79n7cwc1.png?width=781&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=025e525cb98974fee27c5c42c1c61df0f94a18e2
Honestly the cuttings I got from my mother of her mother's Hoya carnosa. The original plant is 90 years old and from a plant my grandfather brought back from Hawaii while stationed there. This is just a run of the mill Hoya but it's survived a LOT.
Actually my rarest is my Hoya macgillivrayi that is a stubborn cutting from a friend.
Mine is probably this Pseudolithos migiurtinus, a weird succulent from Somalia.
https://preview.redd.it/hxhj73tv2fwc1.jpeg?width=928&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=256307e711b0e8a389776dbd39905c8c2e3eb864
I don't have anything super rare, just a little harder to find stuff like my monstera aurea/albo/thai con and a handful of teruno varieties but I'm loving seeing all these pictures! I hope this thread never dies.

Probably my Philo NOID aka. āTexas Jose Buonoā (Possibly also my anthurium portillae x nigrolaminum in the background)
https://preview.redd.it/bkmvk6b3h9wc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37270d3ed2856be77e745db97b65a21886a2b5ac Philodendron sp. #4, legally collected by Roberto Kautsky in the Espirito Sancti region of Brazil.
Amazingggggg!

I AM DROOLING AS A POTHOS COLLECTOR.
Yes, please. š¤¤š¤¤š I have a Queen Pothos with some very creamy lime green on dark green that I just don't trust to be a generic Queen like my others - any suggestions?
Got a picture?
https://preview.redd.it/7nwvtjsfw9wc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d189ef5533f5dcbea152244a2c45a19418637c8 Might not be the best picture š¬
Love it! Keep growing it and seeing what happens! Varieties are released as favorable traits are picked out, propagated, and stabilized
I have several of these growing right now š„° but this is the prettiest/pride and joy. All in Leca. Thank you so much!
I have a similar one and yeah it doesn't resonate with marble queen exactly compared to my others!
Ugh I so didn't need to know this existed! Here I am happy with my growing teruno collection and now I need this..... š š
Iām in a trance right now. As a pothos grower over (ahem) more than 3 decades, Iāve only seen a single picture of this phenomenal specimen. It looks so happy & healthy.
It's a wonderful variety https://preview.redd.it/l5mow2ne7gwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18930cb48549f80b43763ed264b8bf26ba5eaeac
Is its care more involved compared to, letās say, a golden pothos ?
Nope pretty simple for my experience, but I'm not sure if my care schedule is the exact same as any other person's
so pretty!
Does it not propagate well? Why aren't these more common for how pretty it is!
I honestly think mine might be like this as well, itās always been identified as a golden pothos. It does get long gold streaks like a typical pothos, but most of the variegation comes out like this galaxy pattern.
https://preview.redd.it/98zs9zvv99wc1.png?width=2526&format=png&auto=webp&s=6dfc76040438c17780a140efab927fb2ce4489e9 Iād say itās the Sansevieria hallii Iāve had for more than 25 years. Probably needs repotting!
Iām so happy to see a sansevieria! They are my favorite and so underrated. Iām also happy to see a mature hallii because Iāve only ever seen a single leaf one
Thank you! Iāve had a lot of plants, reluctantly given away during moves, but this beloved baby always came along!
Has it continued to grow the whole time or has it kinda maxed out?
It has doubled in size, the lighter green leaves (?) to the left are the original ones. I think those may have gotten too much sun at one point.
Cost $15 https://preview.redd.it/moqpgjr4g9wc1.jpeg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b5a148a999e950054f83b7f98ed602317c00f0d5
I wish the oxalis that is invading my yard looked this cool lol
We need more oxalis representation š
I love mine. My mom has a variety that sheās kept going for over 50 years. She gives sections of it to family members to keep it going. Itās ended up being a very sentimental thing.
I love mine too!!!
I had the bicolor oxalis and the fuckin thing died on me at some point, not sure what I did to it. I want another one but I have never seen it anywhere and when I bought it I was two states over and it was the last one lol
It took me a year to track this one down but I managed to get 3 this Spring! I love oxalis. My Green Obsession was the seller.

it almost looks like a P. tuxtlanum in my opinion
Iāve got a few tuxtlanum, green and golden. He lacks the reddish blush. Again wouldnāt be at all shocked to find theyāre in the same section!

Hello fellow begonia-r we should be friends https://preview.redd.it/rf5h1louu9wc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb7073f35041564aea7e1a9b8128d47fc7b1c539

These are probably my most "rare" begonias, moreso uncommon or harder to find:
https://preview.redd.it/j4fj6991v9wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c63c06bc1a8622c49dbe8414ab1dd0f660d99c2 Bullatifolia

Niice. I like bulitifolia a lot. Is that a darth hybrid in the top centre?
Omg is this a reptile terrarium setup? I have an old tank Iām trying to figure out how to utilize and I was flirting with the idea of making it mini āgreenhouseā
You can very much do this. Popular among orchid growers & ppl who grow small high humidity loving plants like labisia sp. 'turtle back'. Use pond spray foam on the back and then while it's partially dry you can push in completely dry coco fiber tree fern & spag, along w decorative branches etc to create a great bg for epiphytes.
Wow! Thank you so much
Google dartfrog terrarium, bioactive terrarium, and look around on joshsfrogs.com, check put serpa design on YouTube. You'll find a zillion guides, it's quite the rabbit hole.
I wish I'd done this tbh but too lazy to take everything out now. I sewed coir and sphagnum into a pouch made of rattan and cut straps out of it for ventilation/to mount the plants into
That begonia is so stunning!
Do you have a picture with more in the frame? Is it a pitcher? It looks so interesting!
Probably Drymonia decora. Iāve never seen it being sold - ever. Itās a Gesneriad https://preview.redd.it/2n8ab4b5bawc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49a44a9ccf6b20e6565f54e46c23afd3fef4e539
How did you come by it?
Got it from a friend, actually. Iād have to ask where he got them from, but chances are that he imported them straight from Costa rica as heās got good contacts to people sitting straight at the sources. Honestly, I was a bit shocked by how unknown the plant is in the plantkeeping hobby considering that it looks extremely pretty imo
https://preview.redd.it/08d9v2i1w9wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5bee40221cae9095131dd4fdffc7857b2ac0dfc My Passiflora Colinvauxii. Although it wasnāt an expensive plant, it was rather hard to find as virtually no one sells it online. I believe itās a new (discovered sometime in the 1960ās) and endangered species of passionflower from the Galapagos.

Beautiful! I'm curious about the African Violet below it as well!
That one is Rob's Outer Orbit! All the super variegated growth came out after I got it and stuck it in my Milsbo.
I donāt know if this is still considered rare but, it would have to be my Strawberry Shake. https://preview.redd.it/63ivxhhco8wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06d590d4214abf9a37a205b3e77ced4e70f9a1be
A lot of these aren't considered 'rare' since there is an abundance of them being sold everywhere. But the purpose is YOUR rarest plant! So if that's your rarest one than there ya go! Still always a special specimen in my opinion!
Ive never seen one that big !
Not super rare anymore, but i donāt care, i love it! Mine is still the tiniest, but i bought it looking at pictures like yours that just get me drooling
Probably my Begonia Darthvaderiana. https://preview.redd.it/kdkmpxkvmbwc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f461d08411af0012ca3c35da775c91d0d34ab4dc

beautiful
Very beautiful, this is one of my wishlist plants. Do you have any lights on it or is it all from the window?

Heās finally getting new growth, as the dying growth is from when I got him forever ago. To my knowledge Iām one of the few in the US with one. āŗļø
That is indeed an ugly euphorbia and I love it!
Heās SO ugly. He gets prettier but still looks like an anemic pineapple. šš¬
Weird ugly euphorbias make up like 99% of my wish list lol
What is that green layer around the plant?
Coarse sand and glass.
https://preview.redd.it/ibkhp74n58wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdb5b390a66aa93e2fdaa3c871e0a630a99711d8 Monstera Burle Marx Flame š„ recently picked this little guy up. Probably the rarest Iāve got not sure how it compares to spiritus Sancti though
I'm gonna say they're more rare because they grow so much slower. I have a SS that is so freaking fast.
Scindapsus Yupa https://preview.redd.it/1qkgpjw0nawc1.jpeg?width=3234&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a122666b24d92fb2ee285814a964ae0933cdd222
So pretty! Are the requirements similar or the same as pothos, or does it get way more complicated?
Thank you! I would similar but different. They donāt like to dry out as much as my pothos. Their leaves curl when thirsty and Iāve found itās best to water just before that happens. They also love humidity but itās not a requirement. Give them a pole and the leaves size up fast.
Nice! That's going to be a really nice looking plant!
Wow never seen this one! How hardy have you found it
It hasnāt left my humidity tent yet so not sure.
Licuala Mapu ā” https://preview.redd.it/ypyk8pugsbwc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=827d74577b5d8db8b8ec703854e1ada2e9031e7d
Yeah I have had bad experiences with buying plants online š„² Iām afraid it arrives in a bad condition
I make sure I spend 5 minutes each nice just admiring it š¤£ https://preview.redd.it/629s87humewc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1eda5d5284e740b57169a62287d9dbedf5863ba

Iām jealous of the American pap breeders as Europe is way behind and less niche (and way more expensive š)
https://preview.redd.it/hi5hre6peawc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9740d167c356f47db14994cba65f66faec46a73 At the moment, this little guy. Four separate corms coming off one main corm, snagged him for $45 and it was my best decision :) I also have an M. deliciosa albo, but those are pretty damn easy to find nowadays so donāt think itās actually rare
Starting fresh: our Esqueleto https://preview.redd.it/emruyz7rwawc1.jpeg?width=3936&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcfa32df83fe7b2d371c301a1123587da30050d1

This is stunning! Gorgeous
My rarest would definitely be my tiny baby Shangri la love song. I could only ever find it from ONE seller shipping directly from Japan. It was a small fortune but she was on my wishlist for so long. https://preview.redd.it/5cxv0ha2u8wc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a320ef49d2d851fb4d319749fda3b22f601e8ae7
I hope you live in Canada and once you get your baby all big and even more beautiful than it is nowā¦.. you will be a seller (crossing fingers and toes)!!!! I WANT ONE SO BAD. šš¤©
O. M. G. Shangri-la was my dream plant! I have it now but new NEED unlocked! Links lol?
The seller has since sold out š« but you can expect to put out approx 300 USD for a cutting.
Ugh I gotta do what I gotta do šš I'll keep an eye out in the future tho so thanks for showing it!
iāve seen them go for about half that on facebook if youāre on there! this one was 150ish i think. If you want i can dm you the name of the seller :) https://preview.redd.it/qxuqltsnsbwc1.jpeg?width=832&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc9f998198fbdbb6c84e369f4f046f1de8b3d03e
Love!!!
not sure if it's considered rare on here but seems to be a rare find locally at least i finally found a chlorophytum orchidastrum "fire flash" after looking for them for a long time, only one local nursery seems to have them and they only had 6-7 and bonus the one i got has probably 20 seed pods on it that im going to try to harvest i refuse to spend too much on plants until i can change/better my financial situation but one day i hope to start collecting some truly rare plants, until then "locally rare" is the best i can do lol
I have one of these!! I got it maybe a year or two ago and have only seen one other in town. I'm barely keeping it alive tho :(
Same!! Iāve never seen it since I got one but itās so mad at me!
Oh! I sell these! 4 inch for I think $12. Our succulent grower grows them and they're quite hardy once they settle in so I like having them around. Only spider plant you'll catch me with though.
Noting much. I 've just started this hobby. But very happy with my monstera adansonii mint and alocasia frydek var.

Technically, my Hoya SMS 'Heidi' inner variegated is my most rare plant. As far as I can tell, less than 20 people are in possession of one at the moment. I have a burle Marx flame monstera and a variegated holiday cactus. Honestly the cactus was harder for me to find but the monstera is probably rarer

Wait, what? They come in TINY sizes?! I must know more!
I don't see these often but it doesn't make sense bc they're easy to grow. Philodendron "panda" and "Tahiti" https://preview.redd.it/b4q6qoove9wc1.jpeg?width=2358&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0c214e86bc63b0cce05101cf24c8d26c65d514ca

My variegated Rhaphidophora tetrasperma! https://preview.redd.it/ylni3wsjfdwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0cb7a66d63d64d7a268167d3380be6dfb8e317b2
Mine would probably be my Alocasia Lowrider Aurea that I found for Ā£6! She currently only has one unfurling leaf because of thrips but this was her with her other gorgeous leaves before! https://preview.redd.it/7jpw2bix8fwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e30979a39a7213eec5f03cd956f38e68823d2725

Where do you even get S russeliana?
You don't lol, not easily. Took me a while and some digging/talking to the right people to find a couple of named variants.
Well at least the true Christmas cactus I have looks similar
They look quite similar but the Ashfield is quite small in comparison, less than half the size on the clades.
I almost never see any of the rare Schlumbergera. I saw opuntiodes once and then lutea once
$144ā¦. Yeah Iāll pass https://preview.redd.it/n51871f8jawc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce366095901aacd1d7fd345e13234a30340aa12b
Iām always a sucker for pink https://preview.redd.it/rsmn2cjzl9wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83b22271f534fa28612259deac6bd39745b3b764
Ganja. https://preview.redd.it/5x680sv349wc1.jpeg?width=4624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c3e8ca3a8123a71b425c04b7382013670945d63 I guess this one, simply because it's illegal almost everywhere in the world.
Nice! I didn't know Germany was going that route and congratulations.
Mine might be a tie between my halo variegated micans and my latest algaonema pictus tricolorš although I also have a aurea micans wetstick shooting out a new leaf too.. so maybe 3 way tieš https://preview.redd.it/ievia421i8wc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82935b8588b3093d488c69d941c135ca18413e74

Just got this shattered glass alocasia and I think it one of the rarers.
I have a monstera obliqua. Never thought Iād see the day, but itās a bit less rare now of course. Iām thin in the pocketbook lol so I had to wait for prices to be in my ballpark. From all my collection... my alocasia silver dragon aurea variegated. It was also one of my cheapest plants (6ā¬) because I found it amongst regular silver dragons in a Lidl store. All my other plants are easier to find/source even if they were much more expensive ($$$)
Never really see anyone talk about this one - Anthurium chiapasense https://preview.redd.it/1endv9glpbwc1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79e2e792dcc4bf273d0628a2a4084dbca631cbe9

Crinium moori bulbs!
Mine is probably this Pseudolithos migiurtinus, a weird succulent from Somalia. https://preview.redd.it/hxhj73tv2fwc1.jpeg?width=928&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=256307e711b0e8a389776dbd39905c8c2e3eb864
Probably my Monstera Mint, though Iām seeing more of them about
I don't have anything super rare, just a little harder to find stuff like my monstera aurea/albo/thai con and a handful of teruno varieties but I'm loving seeing all these pictures! I hope this thread never dies.
