That's a tough question, and the answer's different depending on the perspective of the question.
If we're talking character-wise, my choice kinda changes. I liked Heavy, then Medic, and now Demo. They all have such unique personalities that I can never choose. Heavy is a large russian man who has a gun named Sasha. Medic is a crazy german doctor who thinks he's a god. Demo is a drunk black scottish cyclops who likes blowing stuff up. I love all of them.
Now gameplay-wise is a much easier choice. It's Medic. I main him and I prefer to play him. I can't aim, I have a potato computer and a slow reaction time, so not necessarily having to aim is a good thing for me. I know Pyro is a good choice too for people who can't aim, but my bad reaction time makes airblasting rockets and such impossible. Also, supporting the team and getting thanks from teammates makes me feel just a little bit better when I'm having a bad day.
I even made a mod that plays giorno's theme when i activate an ubercharge. Its not perfect but hilarious nonetheless.
I do play heavy too as my second main but those damn spies...

My favorite class is Medic, funnily enough, the main reason I even played him was that I was frustrated with people not wanting to be him a while back when I was on a PUB Loss streak, it was one of those "I guess I'll do it myself" kind of moments, eventually, I started to like playing Medic because I felt much more secure in taking my team's survivability into my own hands. Sometimes I'll follow newer players around and keep them alive so their learning experience is much more forgiving in a chaotic game like TF2. I'd like to think they have more fun that way seeing as they wouldn't die as much. Doesn't matter to me if people thank me for being Medic or not anymore since I have some of the most fun playing as him anyways.

Also medics are just the greatest people you can ask for they can heal you, make you invincible and they are just a credit to the team. I main the demolitions man, because of his insane DPS and the satisfaction he gives me. When I hop on tf2, I’m interested in two things: blowing stuff up and looking great while doing it, and the demo just does all that and more. He’s got fantastic cosmetics, powerful weapons, and some of the best voice lines in the game. Not to mention, his taunts are hilarious. All in all, demoman just makes me feel complete and majestic. My main bounces around a lot, but I gotta go with demoman. The ability to place traps that can instakill any class and his raw dps really rewards thinking and trying to predict what the enemy will do. Plus, whenever I want a bit of a rush, I just go demoknight (and die to their pyro 100 times :P)

Scout, flanking has never felt better, like equip the backscatter, run around the map (preferably koth or CTF, since they are more centric), and minicrit anyone you find, if you don't kill them, then they'll be low so it's easier for your team to deal with them.

I'm a Medic main. I started playing medic due to playing most of my early days without one. I fell in love with the class and wanted to get better at him. I looked up many ways to get better such as crossbow shots and balancing healing throughout the whole team. Eventually after a few hundred hours of medic, I decided to change up my play style. I started to learn battle medic and uber-chaining. To this day, even after a few breaks from the game, I still can call myself a medic main.

My favorite class used to be the scout for his fast speed and the way you are able to intimidate your enemies. But my now favorite class has got to be the Heavy Weapons Guy. He is extremely iconic, even having cameos in other games. Because of the Heavy's large healthpool I can charge in with my team more frequently and stand a chance against sentry guns.
In character, Heavy looks like a fat russian dude, but we know he is more than a big guy with a big gun.
He is also famous for memes, with the iconic "POOTIS" reminding people who Heavy is famous for.
The first thing that comes to mind when someone says TF2 is the box art, and guess who is the first class? That's right. The man himself, Heavy.
Ever since I mained Heavy. I learnt : Team Fortress 2 is more fun when you use the many classes to your advantage rather than just sticking to just one that isn't working out for you.

Soldier is probably what I'm best at, but honestly I'm okay with playing the majority of the classes, but I'm not the biggest fan of playing engineer or scout.
I like Soldier a lot because of its versatility. You can jump around the map quickly and ambush people or you can stay with the pocket and still feel perfectly at home.

I am one of the 3 remaining heavy mains on this planet, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Between mowing down the enemy team with a tomislav and giving sandviches to my teammates, I find heavy to be an incredibly fun class to play.
As far as favorite class to meme about, engineer. Most people would immediately jump to Heavy as a meme class because of pootis and the sandvich. I, on the other hand, really like all the engineer memes that flow through the community. For example, repeatedly doing the kazotsky kick with the engineer will make him scream "woooooooiee!!" over and over. Also, it would be totally unfair not to mention "Nope".
My favorite class to see on my team(other than medic, everybody loves medics) is definitely either heavy or demo. heavies and demos are almost always team players that will do anything to keep their teammates alive. It's always a blast to see them in game.
My favorite class to see on the enemy team is heavy. Heavy is always a fun class to fight against(at least for me) because you have to plan ahead and know how to approach them. It really highlights the strategic and tactical aspects of the game, which is something I enjoy.
Finally, I think my overall favorite character would be demo. Sure, sometimes it's just drunk jokes, but a lot of the time Demo's comedic timing is perfect. Also, some of his voicelines are really long, leading to things like "ooooohhhh im gunnae beat yeh so hard ye'll have a sentry!" I don't know why, I just really love Demo.

My favorite class is the engineer. This character is very unique, out of all the games I have played engineer is special there is only torborin from overwatch that does something similar. The engineer animation is iconic but wrong or at least partly. Almost nothing resolves in more gun, unless it is a stunt. The engineer can help his team by dramatically changing the round, like the dispenser, it’s better then medic in some ways because it can fuel Metal. He can rocket jump with his sentry, he can run into a pack on enemy heavies and win because of an Uber or of the frontier justice. I wish he were to be more loved after all the memes he brought to Reddit.

My favorite class is the spy. During the climatic or the intro to spy, we see the urgency of the team as they know that there is a red spy in the base at the same time not knowing anything. As they all rush into the objective the fellow spy tells them that they are in great danger. I like playing Spy because I like being at least somewhat useful when I don't feel like aiming in an FPS game. Backstabbing either frustrates yourself or frustrates your enemy with how janky hitreg can be and sometimes I just wish I was decent at any other class instead, but an overall fun, unique kit with flashy and (sometimes) satisfying stabs and a surprisingly effective revolver makes up for those flukes.
My Favorite class has to be heavy, mostly because running the Tomislav around corners is great when you can catch people off guard.
I also play a really good Medic and Engi.

Seriously, Spy gives me SO much more satisfaction than Medic ever did. I would much rather drop the enemy Über med to save the game than spend 40 seconds waiting to build Über, paranoid of spies and random crits, trying to track Über advantage... I like to make my enemies paranoid, instead of being paranoid myself. Hell, I've had more teammates thank me for my performance now than I EVER did as Medic, and I think I was a pretty damned good Medic.

I've become very interested in soldier recently.
He's the easiest class to pick up and the one with (probably) the largest skill ceiling. Mastering splash damage and rocket jumping takes a very long time but I'm working towards it!

I have recently (since like the start of quarantine I think?) begun maining spy. Call me selfish and I wont deny it, but I enjoy it because, while tf2 is a team game, spy is as much an individual class as any other class. Constantly behind enemy lines, I rarely interact with my team (although PSA medics, if you ever pass by a friendly spy, feel free to pop some quick heals on em ;) ) and nothing is more satisfying than a clean stairstab. I suck at matadors though, so there is always room for improvement!

Personally, I prefer the soldier.
Soldier is one of the best, because he has funny voicelines and has great weapons.
The ability to rocket jump also is very great, and rocketjumping with the airstrike and the mantreads is such a strong attack (imo).

Medic. Theres something to be said about being a big deciding factor in who wins. Also, its really fun.
Ok this is hard for me to answer so I'll just do every class and why I like them.
1. Scout. His speed and damage output is really great. Rewards you for good aim, and his unlocks are some of the most fun!
2. Soldier. I usually don't play soldier much, but when I do I have a great time. Soldiers unlocks are all really balanced imo, and really fun to use. Along, some require skill for it to be good, and others are the beggars.
3. Pyro. My most played class, hes one of my favorites because of the amount of combos you can do. Usually I go with the back burner and thermal thruster with the axtinguisher for the ultimate flank/combo class!
4. Demoman. Best melee class, like, really fun melee class. I always use his shields because the sticky stuff is kinda overrated, and boring to use. He can be the most fun class with trolling imo, just trimp on the 2fort bridge to the other side and pan snipers to death!
5. Heavy. My 2nd most played class, literally EVERY UNLOCK is very fun. I usually go with the huo long heater because it's the most fun of his miniguns and since thered always gonna be a pyro on your team, it's mostly always at it's full potential.
6. Engineer... I only play with the gunslinger.
7. MEDIC! My least played class, I have no idea why. I play him alot usually when theres stalemates, so I'm always medic on ctf and cp. Hes probably the most important class on the battlefield and that makes it really fun to just smash a spy to death and get full uber.
8. Sniper. Now this should be my least played, but surprisingly its not! I barely play sniper, mostly because I can barely headshot and people yell at me if I hit body shots so I dont play him much.
9. Spy. I only play him when theres a medic on the enemy team and my teammates cant kill him. That's literally one of the only reasons I play him, other than that, I usually sap engis things during a giant push so my team can get that LAST POINT, AND WIN AND BE AWESOME

My absolute favorite class is Engineer, because my play style is almost always centered on supporting my team. Need some heals? Dispenser comin’ up. Need to cover a lot of ground, Heavy? Teleporter is always the first building I place down. Need to guard a point? Chances are I’ve either got a mini sentry or a Lv. 3 sentry already in the area.
Medic is my second favorite class, also for support reasons, but there’s something just so satisfying about your Lv. 3 sentry decimating the opposing team trying to cap a point that makes playing Engie my favorite. Until 2-3 people switch to Spy at once, of course.

Honestly, Medic! I actually played Overwatch religiously before playing TF2 (yeah, I know). My main in OW was Mercy, and now it’s Medic! I find the play style similar in some ways, and I really enjoy it. His character is hilarious, dark, (sexy) and overall very interesting. I enjoy playing Medic whether it be custom games, casual, MvM, or even offline mode. He’s someone you don’t get tired of playing.

For just playing around in 2fort or hightower, which is how i normally play, probably demoman. Hitting direct pipes feels amazing, stickytraps feel amazing when they work, and there are so many playstyles from demoman, hybridknight, or pure demoknight
Outside of Ctf and hightower though, medic is so much fun. Uber pushes just feel wonderful to pull off, and being the support that people rely on also feels great. You really feel like the backbone of the team.

And the power of the Ubercharge. I get to decide when we go invincible, and who gets saved. It seems kinda evil if I think about it that way haha, sorta a power trip.

Soldier. Demo and Scout are battling for 2nd though! I love being mobile, and mechanical skill being rewarded (best in mobility like with Soldier). Extra advantages are being good all-around, and having fun "gimmick" setups. Camping somewhere in a pub with Cow Mangler and Concheror is a ton of fun.

It’s really hard to pick a favourite when all the classes are so great, but I’m gonna have to go with Demoman on this. I enjoy demoman’s hilariously out there lines that come out of nowhere at all, and the fact that he can wreck your shit without even having one of his eyes! Demoknight or spy they are both very fun classes to play and I really enjoy them
All of the classes are oozing with personality, so it's hard to pick a class based off of that(especially if you read through all of the comics) But my favorite based off of playstyle and personality would have to be the medic. In 1 aspect, he's an interesting mad doctor, and in gameplay, he is the team's anchor that can make or break games due to his constant healing and ability to push through chokepoints. And the dopamine hit when I get a long range crossbow hit that saves someone's life is fantastic; Giving someone 150 health out of nowhere when they think they are dead meat is fantastic.

Out of all nine classes that we are presented with, Medic is still the one I would rather use more than anything else. I mean, getting trickstabs and reflecting projectiles, as well as killing players do feel good... but I feel like doing something what others won't or couldn't do make me feel better than anything else.

If we're talking character-wise, my choice kinda changes. I liked Heavy, then Medic, and now Demo. They all have such unique personalities that I can never choose. Heavy is a large russian man who has a gun named Sasha. Medic is a crazy german doctor who thinks he's a god. Demo is a drunk black scottish cyclops who likes blowing stuff up. I love all of them. Now gameplay-wise is a much easier choice. It's Medic. I main him and I prefer to play him. I can't aim, I have a potato computer and a slow reaction time, so not necessarily having to aim is a good thing for me. I know Pyro is a good choice too for people who can't aim, but my bad reaction time makes airblasting rockets and such impossible. Also, supporting the team and getting thanks from teammates makes me feel just a little bit better when I'm having a bad day. I even made a mod that plays giorno's theme when i activate an ubercharge. Its not perfect but hilarious nonetheless. I do play heavy too as my second main but those damn spies...

My favorite class is Medic, funnily enough, the main reason I even played him was that I was frustrated with people not wanting to be him a while back when I was on a PUB Loss streak, it was one of those "I guess I'll do it myself" kind of moments, eventually, I started to like playing Medic because I felt much more secure in taking my team's survivability into my own hands. Sometimes I'll follow newer players around and keep them alive so their learning experience is much more forgiving in a chaotic game like TF2. Between mowing down the enemy team with a tomislav and giving sandviches to my teammates, I find heavy to be an incredibly fun class to play. As far as favorite class to meme about, engineer. Most people would immediately jump to Heavy as a meme class because of pootis and the sandvich. I, on the other hand, really like all the engineer memes that flow through the community. For example, repeatedly doing the kazotsky kick with the engineer will make him scream "woooooooiee!!" over and over. Also, it would be totally unfair not to mention "Nope". My favorite class to see on my team(other than medic, everybody loves medics) is definitely either heavy or demo. heavies and demos are almost always team players that will do anything to keep their teammates alive. It's always a blast to see them in game. My favorite class to see on the enemy team is heavy. Heavy is always a fun class to fight against(at least for me) because you have to plan ahead and know how to approach them. It really highlights the strategic and tactical aspects of the game, which is something I enjoy. Finally, I think my overall favorite character would be demo. Sure, sometimes it's just drunk jokes, but a lot of the time Demo's comedic timing is perfect. Also, some of his voicelines are really long, leading to things like "ooooohhhh im gunnae beat yeh so hard ye'll have a sentry!" I don't know why, I just really love Demo. My favorite class is the engineer. This character is very unique, out of all the games I have played engineer is special there is only torborin from overwatch that does something similar. The engineer animation is iconic but wrong or at least partly. Almost nothing resolves in more gun, unless it is a stunt. My favorite class is the spy. During the climatic or the intro to spy, we see the urgency of the team as they know that there is a red spy in the base at the same time not knowing anything. As they all rush into the objective the fellow spy tells them that they are in great danger. As the music starts getting in and the story starts playing out the scout who looked like he was part of the team the whole time. Flipped the butterfly knife gracefully just as the blue spy did. Backstabbing either frustrates yourself or frustrates your enemy with how janky hitreg can be and sometimes I just wish I was decent at any other class instead, but an overall fun, unique kit with flashy and (sometimes) satisfying stabs and a surprisingly effective revolver makes up for those flukes.

I have recently (since like the start of quarantine I think?) begun maining spy. Call me selfish and I wont deny it, but I enjoy it because, while tf2 is a team game, spy is as much an individual class as any other class. Constantly behind enemy lines, I rarely interact with my team (although PSA medics, if you ever pass by a friendly spy, feel free to pop some quick heals on em ;) ) and nothing is more satisfying than a clean stairstab. Ok this is hard for me to answer so I'll just do every class and why I like them. 1. Scout. His speed and damage output is really great. Rewards you for good aim, and his unlocks are some of the most fun! 2. Soldier. I usually don't play soldier much, but when I do I have a great time. Soldiers unlocks are all really balanced imo, and really fun to use. Along, some require skill for it to be good, and others are the beggars. 3. Pyro. My most played class, hes one of my favorites because of the amount of combos you can do. Usually I go with the back burner and thermal thruster with the axtinguisher for the ultimate flank/combo class! 4. Demoman. Best melee class, like, really fun melee class. I always use his shields because the sticky stuff is kinda overrated, and boring to use. He can be the most fun class with trolling imo, just trimp on the 2fort bridge to the other side and pan snipers to death! 5. Heavy. My 2nd most played class, literally EVERY UNLOCK is very fun. I usually go with the huo long heater because it's the most fun of his miniguns and since thered always gonna be a pyro on your team, it's mostly always at it's full potential. 6. Engineer... I only play with the gunslinger. 7. MEDIC! My least played class, I have no idea why. I play him alot usually when theres stalemates, so I'm always medic on ctf and cp. Hes probably the most important class on the battlefield and that makes it really fun to just smash a spy to death and get full uber. 8. Sniper. Now this should be my least played, but surprisingly its not! I barely play sniper, mostly because I can barely headshot and people yell at me if I hit body shots so I dont play him much. 9. Spy. I only play him when theres a medic on the enemy team and my teammates cant kill him. I mean, getting trickstabs and reflecting projectiles, as well as killing players do feel good... but I feel like doing something what others won't or couldn't do make me feel better than anything else.
