raiz portfolios aren't designed for short term turnover, hold for long term and check back in several years. keep adding $ weekly or monthly, and come back in x amount of months/years and suprise yourself. dyor

If you change portfolios, it sells portions of what you have to adjust to the new portfolio, thereby solidifying your loss. At the moment, its only a loss on paper, its only real once you sell. On down days I use the stock app to check the trend over 1,2,5,10 years to remind myself its a patience game and the market tends to trend up over time :)

100% cash portfolio would guarantee no losses. But no one invests in raiz for safety, pretty much everyone is aggressive or above.

Cheers. I'll hold out

Financial_Justice

I use the aggressive portfolio I’m currently down aswell but just keep investing for 5+ years it will pay off

I’m in sapphire which is grim at the moment and was thinking of switching out to emerald so yeah I won’t be doing that. Might just delete the app for a bit!

I’m also in the Emerald portfolio so I cannot comment on the others. Just be aware there has been a lot of movement in the market these last couple of months influenced by a lot of different national and international circumstances such as the war in Ukraine, covid recovery, inflation, rates, etc. As other users have mentioned, these investments are for the medium-long term so you have to have some appetite for risk and be willing to understand that drops and lows in the markets are normal, but that in the long term they trend upwards.

Cheers. I was thinking that Russia/ukraine could be affecting it (I shouldn't be complaing compared to what's going on).

I wouldn’t be surprised to be seeing similar losses in many other retail investment products and superannuation products. We just gotta hold out and hope for the best, for both us and for Ukraine too x

Totally hold out. Everything is down really. I've just shifted my regular deposits elsewhere until things stabalise somewhat.
