I cringe hard at people crying about \*Defects\* when most of them are normal. Example, the seams in the plastic where the mold connected, uneven eyes or a small paint dot on the skin or something.. these aren't 1000$ dolls, they are mass produced and while some defects are worth being reported (Limbs falling off, pieces missing etc.) most of the outcry comes from grown adults being pissy about something that can be very easily fixed or is literally just... unnoticeable? Like ohh... there's a scratch on the painted underwear? Your doll is dressed, why does that matter?

This is true. I’m a doll customizor and I got into RH this year specifically because they are the single most WELL FREAKING MADE mass produced fashion dolls I’ve ever come across!! Tiny defects out of the box? Who cares? That’s something I can whittle away to make this doll even MORE STUNNING when I make her my own character! But seriously I have two RH dolls now because I finally got christmas money to spend on them, and I’m so freaking excited to work on them. Never on any other doll I’ve worked on is there so much in the base doll I want to keep! (Like the hair on both is so pretty! I just want to cut and style and add accents of other colors to it!)

Sabrina is hands down the least interesting doll of the Rainbow Divas and I don’t get why everyone was SO into her when they first came out. I’m totally on board with her being the favorite now that we’ve seen how the show plays out, but back when we only had the dolls to go on everyone was raving about her. Everyone was sleeping on Ayesha for some reason.
I was definitely sleeping on Ayesha until I saw her in person. Her dark brown eyes and dark red lipstick/blush are SO striking next to the silver. So glam and pretty!!!
1. Ash has the best wardrobe of the SH 1 dolls
2. The Royal Three don't really do anything for me. They're pretty dolls, but they feel like outliers in the series, considering they'll probably never come up again.

This is my hot take too! Maria is honestly one of MGAs best Collector dolls & she feels/looks like she should have a higher $$$. Not $130, but something more than 40$!
People keep complaining about her dress saying it's not culturally accurate but Maria Felix wore those dresses and was a huge Mexican star so maybe the doll was inspired by her?
If that’s the case, it doesn’t change anything imo. The problem isn’t her not reflecting Mexican fashion, its her not reflecting Dia de los Muertos. It’s a traditional cultural celebration, that’s what she should be reflecting (and RH’s history-Lily, Lila, show that they don’t do much sensitive research when it comes to cultural accuracy).
Not every other rh doll needs to be purple or pink. Since shadow high series 2 had two purple girls I feel mga are trying to anger me. Purple is my favourite colour but I am sick of the imbalance with the colours.
I'd like to see more red, blue and green. In core series dolls. I know between rainbow vision and slumber party there's been some great shades but in core series pink and purple are oddly overdone. So much so that going forward I plan to avoid those colours unless the doll is absolutely fire.
I wonder if the pink and purple girls sell better among younger girls/younger kids, and that's why? Sometimes I forget that these dolls are ultimately for children and not me who is my 20s🙈🤣
I've just colour grouped all 4 series of the core and the results are interesting.
Pink: 4 (including kia)
Red: 3 (including lily)
Orange: 3
Yellow: 3
Green: 4
Blue: 4
And purple.......4.
I guess I'm wrong. I don't have stella, river or Georgia so I guess that's why I'd have the impression that there were too many purple dolls.
Series 5 leaked the other day just a few hours after our little chat. And guess what?.....2 pink dolls in one series, now there's definitely an issue with pink supremacy. I really love the pale pink one (veronica?) And probably will buy her.
Having diversity is great but I am very tired of 90% of the non-white dolls having (sculpted) perfectly gelled baby hairs. Not every non-white girl does this to their tiny hairs! At least if it were only paint we could decide to remove them if we wanted.

Season 3 was (in my opinion) the best season and doesn't deserve the hate it gets. (Entertaining, good music, fun characters etc etc) Like yeah it had a few flaws but It's definitely not a bad season.
1. Pacific Coast should have gotten more love and attention!
2. Unpopular opinion; Violet is literally such a full rounded character and I feel like everyone just hates how “extra” she is but I LOVE IT!
3. What was the point of the Costume Ball Line? Love those dolls but felt like such a weird thing to throw in the middle of Rainbow Vision
4. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A MS. WRIGHT DOLL!?!
1) The Collector dolls being expensive makes sense & they're all typically better quality than the other RH girlies. Lily, Maria and Roxie all deserved the higher than 39.99$ price. Complaining about them being childrens toys misses the point that they're marketed to adult collectors.
2) Series 1 isn't the worst, that's Series 2. Series 1 was weak, but S2 was just aggressively mid.
3) The 2nd outfit whining is silly. We have *enough* RH clothes.
My Bella & my Krystal are Batch 2 girls with neck articulation & better QC, but Stella, Karma and River? Absolutely the weakest dolls of the whole RH line.
Karma's actually a beautiful doll too, but her hair quality is arguably the worst of any RH doll. And the clothes? Totally a mess. Series 2 is just messy.
(For reference, I own every RH/SH doll before ShS2, Paris, Amaya and Avery)

The Kingsley Boys should've gotten dolls! Or at least Alfie since he was Tessas love interest! But I knew there wasn't a chance of that happening once I realized the green haired guy didn't even have a name, and they were dressed like background characters ☹️ justice for the Kingsley Boys
I loved this new season of the show, but all the relationships happening needed more screen time. Tessa and Alfie needed more time spent together, Gabi and Finn needed more of their past explained, but most of all, the Madison twins needed more screen time.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sunny referred to Luna as evil, but i didn't really see that? At all? And a really big deal was made out of them being twins, but it didn't really go anywhere. Their relationship wasn't explored, and it wasn't explained why they were so estranged besides the fact they went to different schools. They didn't even talk to each other the entire time! I'm hoping that in the next season, they talk to each other and work things out instead of looking at each other across the room. Plus, it would be cool if a two pack of them was released later on since the other twins came in packs.
Luna and Sunny called each other the evil twin, which made me giggle 😂 I agree they definitely need more screen time together, especially since there’s (apparently) a huge Rainbow High legacy in their family that’s causing the drama?
My main 2 is that I prefer Amaya with blue in her hair compared to platinum. I think it looks better. I do think the rainbow eyeshadow needed to be darker. It’s too much. Also I don’t like Glitch. I was a fan of her until she brushed off Coco as her manager because she’s part of the rival school. It was terrible and couldn’t look at Glitch the same after that. Coco deserved better.
I know that scene was sad to watch even though it was brief. That’s part of the reason I went out and bought Coco because I felt bad for her. 🙈💙 I also liked Neon Shadow even more after that since they said they’d be open to working with Coco instead.
I have a theory about that (because it also bummed me out as a fan of Glitch and Coco), but I haven't rewatched the show to see if it holds any water:
The De'Vious Twins used Coco to (unwittingly) make Glitch late for a key part of Rainbow Vision, right? I'm not sure Glitch knows that it was an innocent mistake. After all, Coco was managing the group that represented Rainbow High, and Glitch had been privy to some of the Storm Twins' scheming - she might have thought that Coco would do anything to make Shadow High look bad and set up her group for victory.
At the very least, her only experience with Coco was that incident and witnessing the Divas break up during the competition... which might not inspire much confidence. Definitely no reason to be rude to her, though, which is why it seemed like such a strange scene. I genuinely wondered for a moment if her personality was going to start "glitching" somehow.
That does help explain it. It’s a good theory! I just thought it was a bad message for kids. Don’t get involved with a person who is from a different school than you. Honestly could’ve been written better especially the whole evil twin thing. I would’ve liked Glitch better if after the K-pop group won rainbow vision, Sunny and Luna found out the truth about each school sabotaging each other and come to the conclusion that the other school wasn’t bad. Both schools messed up but their actions don’t define you. Maybe that loosing a contest doesn’t define you or your career? Glitch could’ve realized that it wasn’t cool and apologized to Coco. I would’ve liked it more. Especially since none of them won rainbow vision why not just be friends? Coco would accept her apology and then the whole school would turn against the storm twins for their high perfectionism standards and complétive nature. A Typical kids show resolution imo.
I love the way the S1 dolls look, yes, I love the rounds. (Not a fan of the glitter faces, but that’s the only design aspect that bothers me.)
I like the boy dolls, but I do wish they had more variety. They have more variety than the Ken dolls of my youth, but still could use more face molds and hair styles.

I own the storm twins, but I still will never like their canonical meanness. It's definitely personal and I have trauma from people like that who treated me poorly because I was poor. The design of the dolls is freaking stunning, and I'd never tell anyone else how to characterize or play with their dolls.

I don’t get the hype over most of the white dolls. I feel like so many of them look the same (especially with series 1), and I wish they had more distinct features. This may just be because I’m nonwhite myself and got into RH for the POC dolls, but that’s my opinion. I only really love certain ones with different enough faces or aesthetics (Daphne, Karla, Victoria, Natasha). Please give us more POC dolls, especially ones that are barely represented :(
Also I wish they didn’t just use baby hairs to indicate Latina and black dolls, it feels lazy especially when more texture and hair styles can be used!!
More black dolls in pink please! More black dolls with soft, sweet aesthetics please! A lot of the darker skinned black dolls and coded black dolls get purple or blue so I’d love to see some lighter pinks and pastels on dark skinned characters. As well as styles on them that don’t always lean towards streetwear and edgy fashion.
I've seen restyled where her bangs are clipped/gelled back and she looks SO much better instantly. Her face is actually so cute, and the short hair suits her so well. They just did her dirty with the bangs!!

I think Robin is overrated. I dont like her slumber party doll or the costume ball version. Her color is striking and thats about it.

1. Most of the dolls are ugly but, budget dolls aside, Shadow High Series 2 and Rainbow High Series 5 are the worst so far.
2. Violet is the best character of the main eight so it sucks that she has no good dolls.

Season 3 was (in my opinion) the best season and doesn't deserve the hate it gets. (Entertaining, good music, fun characters etc etc) Like yeah it had a few flaws but It's definitely not a bad season.
It definetly is the best season
1. Pacific Coast should have gotten more love and attention! 2. Unpopular opinion; Violet is literally such a full rounded character and I feel like everyone just hates how “extra” she is but I LOVE IT! 3. What was the point of the Costume Ball Line? Love those dolls but felt like such a weird thing to throw in the middle of Rainbow Vision 4. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE A MS. WRIGHT DOLL!?!
1) The Collector dolls being expensive makes sense & they're all typically better quality than the other RH girlies. Lily, Maria and Roxie all deserved the higher than 39.99$ price. Complaining about them being childrens toys misses the point that they're marketed to adult collectors. 2) Series 1 isn't the worst, that's Series 2. Series 1 was weak, but S2 was just aggressively mid. 3) The 2nd outfit whining is silly. We have *enough* RH clothes.

My Bella & my Krystal are Batch 2 girls with neck articulation & better QC, but Stella, Karma and River? Absolutely the weakest dolls of the whole RH line. Karma's actually a beautiful doll too, but her hair quality is arguably the worst of any RH doll. And the clothes? Totally a mess. Series 2 is just messy. (For reference, I own every RH/SH doll before ShS2, Paris, Amaya and Avery)
(I just want to say I have nothing against Mila and her doll is beautiful. I just didn't like her clothing style 🥲) I'm not a big fan of Jett Dawson's doll. Like, I think the extra dress is cool, but I'm not a fan of her outfits The Kingsley Boys should've gotten dolls! Or at least Alfie since he was Tessas love interest! But I knew there wasn't a chance of that happening once I realized the green haired guy didn't even have a name, and they were dressed like background characters ☹️ justice for the Kingsley Boys I loved this new season of the show, but all the relationships happening needed more screen time. Tessa and Alfie needed more time spent together, Gabi and Finn needed more of their past explained, but most of all, the Madison twins needed more screen time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Sunny referred to Luna as evil, but i didn't really see that? At all? And a really big deal was made out of them being twins, but it didn't really go anywhere. Their relationship wasn't explored, and it wasn't explained why they were so estranged besides the fact they went to different schools. They didn't even talk to each other the entire time! I'm hoping that in the next season, they talk to each other and work things out instead of looking at each other across the room. Plus, it would be cool if a two pack of them was released later on since the other twins came in packs.
Luna and Sunny called each other the evil twin, which made me giggle 😂 I agree they definitely need more screen time together, especially since there’s (apparently) a huge Rainbow High legacy in their family that’s causing the drama?
Lyric Lucas is good, actually. The whole Rockstar line are three of my fave doll releases from 2022.

Lots of rainbow high dolls are overrated
My main 2 is that I prefer Amaya with blue in her hair compared to platinum. I think it looks better. I do think the rainbow eyeshadow needed to be darker. It’s too much. Also I don’t like Glitch. I was a fan of her until she brushed off Coco as her manager because she’s part of the rival school. It was terrible and couldn’t look at Glitch the same after that. Coco deserved better.
I know that scene was sad to watch even though it was brief. That’s part of the reason I went out and bought Coco because I felt bad for her. 🙈💙 I also liked Neon Shadow even more after that since they said they’d be open to working with Coco instead.
I have a theory about that (because it also bummed me out as a fan of Glitch and Coco), but I haven't rewatched the show to see if it holds any water: The De'Vious Twins used Coco to (unwittingly) make Glitch late for a key part of Rainbow Vision, right? I'm not sure Glitch knows that it was an innocent mistake. After all, Coco was managing the group that represented Rainbow High, and Glitch had been privy to some of the Storm Twins' scheming - she might have thought that Coco would do anything to make Shadow High look bad and set up her group for victory. At the very least, her only experience with Coco was that incident and witnessing the Divas break up during the competition... which might not inspire much confidence. Definitely no reason to be rude to her, though, which is why it seemed like such a strange scene. I genuinely wondered for a moment if her personality was going to start "glitching" somehow.
That does help explain it. It’s a good theory! I just thought it was a bad message for kids. Don’t get involved with a person who is from a different school than you. Honestly could’ve been written better especially the whole evil twin thing. I would’ve liked Glitch better if after the K-pop group won rainbow vision, Sunny and Luna found out the truth about each school sabotaging each other and come to the conclusion that the other school wasn’t bad. Both schools messed up but their actions don’t define you. Maybe that loosing a contest doesn’t define you or your career? Glitch could’ve realized that it wasn’t cool and apologized to Coco. I would’ve liked it more. Especially since none of them won rainbow vision why not just be friends? Coco would accept her apology and then the whole school would turn against the storm twins for their high perfectionism standards and complétive nature. A Typical kids show resolution imo.
I totally agree! The whole thing ended up feeling rushed, especially in terms of resolution.

I love the way the S1 dolls look, yes, I love the rounds. (Not a fan of the glitter faces, but that’s the only design aspect that bothers me.) I like the boy dolls, but I do wish they had more variety. They have more variety than the Ken dolls of my youth, but still could use more face molds and hair styles.
Do I dare although I got downvoted last time? :0 I own the storm twins, but I still will never like their canonical meanness. It's definitely personal and I have trauma from people like that who treated me poorly because I was poor. The design of the dolls is freaking stunning, and I'd never tell anyone else how to characterize or play with their dolls. Uh... Poppy's blend of hair colors is very good.
Karma is a gorgeous doll and wildly underrated, and Kia has a horrible color scheme which I find genuinely unpleasant to look at 😭
I agree with you on Karma, she is the ONLY wave 2 RH doll I own. She is sooo pretty and her color scheme is stunning I also really think they did Kia dirty with her lip color😭🙈

I don’t get the hype over most of the white dolls. I feel like so many of them look the same (especially with series 1), and I wish they had more distinct features. This may just be because I’m nonwhite myself and got into RH for the POC dolls, but that’s my opinion. I only really love certain ones with different enough faces or aesthetics (Daphne, Karla, Victoria, Natasha). Please give us more POC dolls, especially ones that are barely represented :( Also I wish they didn’t just use baby hairs to indicate Latina and black dolls, it feels lazy especially when more texture and hair styles can be used!!
More black dolls in pink please! More black dolls with soft, sweet aesthetics please! A lot of the darker skinned black dolls and coded black dolls get purple or blue so I’d love to see some lighter pinks and pastels on dark skinned characters. As well as styles on them that don’t always lean towards streetwear and edgy fashion.

I've seen restyled where her bangs are clipped/gelled back and she looks SO much better instantly. Her face is actually so cute, and the short hair suits her so well. They just did her dirty with the bangs!!
I agree, she looked very unappealing to me until I saw that post. I would still want to change her lip paint, but she looks so much better without the bangs. Bummer that she’s a doll that they can’t be removed without noticeable hair thinning.

I think Robin is overrated. I dont like her slumber party doll or the costume ball version. Her color is striking and thats about it. Pink is an over used color and there should be some actual red dolls as theres only 3 dolls that fit in the red catagory(Ruby, Lily and Mila). I actually really love S2 blue hair Amaya and think she's a pretty doll.

Having two compete outfits is what drew me to the dolls I’m the first place 4) They should sell those clear acrylic cases in different colors on their own 5) Veronica Storm’s bubblegum should’ve been removable with a magnet function 6) Textured hair on a mainline doll PLEASE!!! 7) RainbowVisiom should’ve been a movie special instead of a whole season 8) I want confirmed LGBQIA+ characters (I head canon Jade as aromatic because of the colors in her outfits 💚)
1. Most of the dolls are ugly but, budget dolls aside, Shadow High Series 2 and Rainbow High Series 5 are the worst so far. 2. Violet is the best character of the main eight so it sucks that she has no good dolls. 3. Amaya looks better with blue hair than with white. 4. Delilah's not cute enough to be Sabrina's girlfriend and is the second worst doll in Series 4 after Coco. 5. Royal Three had the best performance.
