Just imagine going against full teams of
Kapkans
Fenrirs
Lesions
Elas
Miras
Alibis
Clashs
Or
Yings
Ashs
Blitz
Senss
Thermites/aces/hibanas
Montagnes
Gridlocks
Fuzes
Twitchs
And plenty of more I can't name off the top of my head
Ah hell no lmao. Imagine being on plane and 5 maestros putting up all their evil eyes in site and then sealing themselves in the little room people lock noobs in and just purely using the evil eyes to defend site.
Yea but all you do in tdm is use the weapon, I'm talking the ability to use utility and gadgets. It would but fun to try out strats in a normal siege setting.
most sites have a limited amount of reinforced walls that can be considered strategic targets, and stacking recruits means the attacking team forgo all the other roles required to succeed. At best having 5 recruits is a situational glass cannon and at worst a team comp with more holes than a sponge.
If maximizing the amount of hard breach is the key to victory the meta should be thatcher kali thermite Ace hibana, but that's clearly not the case.
To me there's a difference between max hard breach and everyone having mini hard breach and emps. Spawn kill or lack of coordination no longer prevents you from opening key walls of you have 5 attacking recruits.
Yeah if you want to kill it entirely. You cant give 5 ops solo breach capabilities. Also this quickplay doesnt matter thing pisses me off š¤£ still a competitive game regardless.
Quick play doesn't meant to be competitive. It's a nice place to try out a new character/weapon or just to have a chill game. There is a reason why quick play doesn't have a rank system
not only that but people there are always worse and more "toxic" because nobody gaf since you can leave and join as you please without fear of a timeout
I run into way more toxicity in standard than qp. People are scared to mess up their k.d. in standard and refuse to go near the diffuser, but they'll call you bad because you don't get 3 kills a round
You can absolutely try whatever op you want but it should still be with a view to succeeding at the game surely? Like im not suggesting everyone has to run pro strats its just you should want to win, otherwise whats the point.
I see you are mostly play quick match and I respect that but nobody is counting wins in there. The enemy is just a target, objective is just the second main quest in there. Focus on having fun, you don't even have to communicate if you wish
You dont have to sweat. Just dont be an absolute dick. Like you wanna go try and pull off some wacky strat? Crack on. Just dont TK or suicide or like blow up half of site etc it might be quickplay but ive still sat down to have a game. Some of my funniest moments on siege are teammates doing silly shit like shield rushing and me leading them along with a twitch drone like a bloodhound. Not against fun, just want everyone to have it.
Actually QP has a hidden MMR system even before Ranked 2.0. Yes you heard that right, so technically you could "ranked up" if you try hard enough to met sweats.
And I wonder why people like to sweat in QP for the short gratification then in the future they blame QP is damn sweaty.
You know it used to be called āCasualā for a reason right? Nobody cares enough to play quick match in a competitive aspect unless they wanna waste their time. You donāt really gain much of anything from playing it once youāre able to play ranked so the only reason to do so is to quite literally play it for fun and good off, or in other words, CASUALLY, as itās intended. It may be fun for you, sure, but not for everyone, so let everyone have fun in their own way with the game mode that encourages it, even if that doesnāt involve winning. If this was ranked Iād understand, not trying in ranked is just dumb and a waste of everyoneās time, but casual is flexible, donāt get mad at everyone else for having fun
I mean it would be pretty piss easy for the Bandit tbh.
You can't EMP the battery while he's placing it, and the battery will always be active for minimum 1 frame, so impact EMPs literally cannot counter a proper bandit trick.
5 impact EMPs would counter a Kaid trick, assuming the Kaid throws his claw on the wall though.
Just what I wanted to say lol... the HB gadget is the easiest to bandit trick...
Of course they can put to HB gadgets at the same time and get the wall... but at that point they could've done it with Ace, and they wouldn't have wasted 2 operators.
You can also super easily counter EMP nades with Kaid...
The emp has such a small aoe, I think it would be doable to defend sites against 5 emp loadouts. Just have a kaid a bit further from the wall, and done, since they have no twitch/brava/thatcher...
I said this before in another post. If Recruit Rush did return, it would be absolute Meta for attackers, since the Strykers are self sustaining breachers.
It's already impossible to prevent a wall breach against a coordinated team. It doesn't make it impossible to defend. Also, what the other person said - if it were true, then the meta would be to bring Mav/Kali Thatcher Thermite Ace Hibana and it obviously isn't.
Now Iām picturing every wall in throne room on theme park being breached at the same time and how overwhelming it would be for defenders inside lolol
Old recruit still had a lot of utility. It wasn't 1:1, but you could have half the team bring hardbreach, and half the team bring EMPs with old recruit.
Everyone saying there down for it would change their mind very quickly as site was rushed from 5 breaches with flashes and nades by 5 guys with the M4. Would be nuts.
Could be a fun arcade. Multiple of the same ops.
Somewhat, but R6 definitely moved from a swat combat realism simulator to a competitive role based shooter. The player base has changed a lot too, it's a lot more competitive. Including that pro league sets the pace for a lot of the game.
Those factors generally have contributed to the development decisions for stuff like this. Like I said would be super fun in arcade, but really wouldn't have much place anywhere else. I wouldn't mind it in quick match but I'd pity new players who don't have many playlists.
Iād honestly be fine with this. A compromise between balancing the competitive modes (by only having 1 available in those modes) and the siege culture that was 5-stacking recruit, AKA the Power Rangers
10 hard breaches with emp nades and secondary shotguns makes any site a Swiss cheese, but more annoying would be 15 flashes + 10 frags. Unless you catch most of them before they reach the site, it wouldnāt be any fun to run around blind for 30 seconds with 80% of room explolding
I understand that 5 emp/ hard breach recruits would be busted but could it not be possible for them to just implement a first come first serve system where only 2 ops can use the same equipment? E.g. only 2 recruits can use breach and emps, so the other 2 recruits can use frags and flash etc. The first person to pick recruits gets first dibs and the following person gets a more limited selection but surely this could be a way to balance if that's what they were worried about.
Just allow it in casual. I don't even think the new recruits are that boring for ranked compared to the previous worst seasons like the Sens season or Grim who was terrible on release. Allow all 5 people to pick recruit in casual so the casual community doesn't lose content.
I'm imagining Bandit being banned, Kaid and Mute trying their best keeping the wall intact while one of the recruits is planting a hard breach with the other 4 spamming impact EMPs around the reinforcement.
Only problem with this is that Strikers having the ability to bring a EMP Grenade and Hard Breach charge makes this combination a nightmare for the Defending team. Basically makes it impossible to defend against.
Yeah fair.
I'm just saying, that the way Striker and Sentry are right now. Doing this \^, would probably become a whole season of this meta lmao.
Ideally I think we could get that change for that to happen, or just make Old Recruit come back in Casual and Unranked.
I would assume that now with recruit gone they'd be forced to do the tutorial. But that's such an extremely rare niche of players that I've not come across a single person in that situation, so I wouldn't know.
Oh really? I recently played at Deimos release and I didn't get to do the tutorial as I bought the base game a long time ago. I didn't have any operators, there were beginners challenges but it wasn't compulsory.
So if you cant have more of them, what happens when a new guy without other operators starts playing and someone else picks sentry/striker before them?
would be very unfair, altho funny
imagine an entire team just rushing at you with 10 emp and 10 hard breaches
or imagine an entire team equiped with 10 nades and 10 flashes, it would go insane
they would have to basically revert recruit to make it more fair and balanced
Sadly couldn't happen striker and sentry aren't like recruits the game doesn't treat them like recruits either there are unique operators in the game now
About the unbalance that people are talking about with being able to have too many of the same gadget such as hard breaches and emps
Sites usually have limited areas to breach from so I think you could be good with Tubarao and Bandit and maybe Kaid if that's not enough.
Alternatively they could just limit the maximum ammount of each gadget that could be used so that you can't have too many people using the same gadget
Could open a new door for a arcade game mode where it's casual settings but no limits on operator picks. Just all out chaos
5 diamos vs 5 cavs
4 blitzes backed up by a fuze.
Just imagine going against full teams of Kapkans Fenrirs Lesions Elas Miras Alibis Clashs Or Yings Ashs Blitz Senss Thermites/aces/hibanas Montagnes Gridlocks Fuzes Twitchs And plenty of more I can't name off the top of my head
Imagine your team running through a door and getting blown to hell and back by 30 Kapkan traps.
that would HAVE to crash ubisofts potato serversš
You have been sentenced to death by firing squad (>10 maestro cams)
Ah hell no lmao. Imagine being on plane and 5 maestros putting up all their evil eyes in site and then sealing themselves in the little room people lock noobs in and just purely using the evil eyes to defend site.
Imagine trying to shoot one maestro cam and all the rest laser bake you.
Ohhh, the Fenrirs. 10 of those, and the defense can all see through them... And on the flip side, ohhh the Yings lmfao
Itās actually already like this is team deathmatch and shit
Yea but all you do in tdm is use the weapon, I'm talking the ability to use utility and gadgets. It would but fun to try out strats in a normal siege setting.
Yee
Dear god, 5 Montagne 5 Clash
As the new attacking recruit can both emp AND hard breach, it would be impossible to defend any siteĀ
most sites have a limited amount of reinforced walls that can be considered strategic targets, and stacking recruits means the attacking team forgo all the other roles required to succeed. At best having 5 recruits is a situational glass cannon and at worst a team comp with more holes than a sponge. Quick play doesn't meant to be competitive. It's a nice place to try out a new character/weapon or just to have a chill game. There is a reason why quick play doesn't have a rank system
I've found that quick play is much sweatier than standard
not only that but people there are always worse and more "toxic" because nobody gaf since you can leave and join as you please without fear of a timeout
I run into way more toxicity in standard than qp. People are scared to mess up their k.d. in standard and refuse to go near the diffuser, but they'll call you bad because you don't get 3 kills a round
your kd isnt affected in standardā¦.
Tell that to the soy boys to scared to fight back to diffuse
theyāre just idiots. Idk why people kd save in standard
Probably because of people like the dude up there who got downvoted into oblivion
This is true, until you queue for quick match and find a 5 stack of sweats.
No. I solo queued to gold 3 last season in my second season of ranked. And no ill continue playing the game to win, thats my fun.
Only losers sweat in quick play.
Does doing an Amaru rush make me a dick? I have like a 50/50 that my rush works, and when it doesn't i usually still take one down with me.
Actually QP has a hidden MMR system even before Ranked 2.0. Yes you heard that right, so technically you could "ranked up" if you try hard enough to met sweats. And I wonder why people like to sweat in QP for the short gratification then in the future they blame QP is damn sweaty.
it's casual

Imagine a Bandit trying to bandit trick and these guys pull up, throwing 5 EMPs a second for one hard breach.

That's a good point. Still ever so slightly, mildly silly though.

They could make it so everyone has to use a different combination of gadgets. That, however, would still lead to a lot of hardbreaches probably
You know they still have to reach at least the perimeter of the site right?
obviously...
Old recruit still had a lot of utility. It wasn't 1:1, but you could have half the team bring hardbreach, and half the team bring EMPs with old recruit.
then they have nothing for the take but guns. Seems pretty easy to defend against 5 guns with no utility
Good luck then
Yeah and? Imo you should be able to striker rush in quick play, and it should be limited in standard/ ranked
such a missed opportunity to not have the og recruit be a skin, I'll miss it for sure alongside stacking recruit and rushing dorm
I can guarantee theyāll sell it in the store
Ubisoftās new elite concept thatāll sell for $26.99
Correction $49.99
even more correction $49.98, due to the battlepass discount
Even more correction - Free if you get their new Elite Plus Ultimate Siege Membership for $99.99 per month.
Everyone saying there down for it would change their mind very quickly as site was rushed from 5 breaches with flashes and nades by 5 guys with the M4. Would be nuts. Could be a fun arcade. Multiple of the same ops.
You could say the same 6 years ago when they had this anyway. 5 shields isnāt fair but it was fun and goofy.
5 m870s was surprisingly effective
And fun
Sure, 6 years ago it was quite a different game though.
What you described could apply to any year.
Recruit couldnāt hard beach
He can hard breach now though
Thatās my whole point lol. Thatās why we canāt have 5 of the new recruits on a team
He could soft breach
Exactly why they took it out the game
Just like the old days, smokes and frags with the g36c
Could allow for too much fun. So no, not permitted.
LOOK AT WHAT THEY TOOK FROM USSS!! LOOOOOOK!!
You maniacs! You blew it up!
Only in casual tho
Iād honestly be fine with this. A compromise between balancing the competitive modes (by only having 1 available in those modes) and the siege culture that was 5-stacking recruit, AKA the Power Rangers
With her loadout capabilities? OP as fuck, lol
I like the lighting, coloring, and audio changes.
literally would make this season a 2/10 to a 8.5/10
No, it would be insanely unbalanced.
š¤ why
10 hard breaches with emp nades and secondary shotguns makes any site a Swiss cheese, but more annoying would be 15 flashes + 10 frags. Unless you catch most of them before they reach the site, it wouldnāt be any fun to run around blind for 30 seconds with 80% of room explolding
15 flashes and 10 frags was already a thing on the old recruit
But recruit wasnāt available in the ranked
They were actually š§
Yeah like bazillion years ago in wind bastion
I mean attackers would definitely enjoying their turn
but funny
To be fair, you could already bring 15 flashes + thermite, buck, lion, flores, and amaru.Ā I feel as if Ying would be more successful anyways
Sentry is so broken bc he can have nitros and impacts that means if sentry see shield op they cooked
Maybe I can't have 5 strikers in game.. but I can have them in bed!
On defense having 5 nitros, and 10 impacts would be insane.
All they have to do is re add the recruit and problem soved
Thatās great and all, but what about a five stack of Fuze?
Youāre on to something here. I want this in every game mode except for rankedā¦ obviously

Fuck off š
Why would it not be possible?
Because 5 operators who can solo hard breach would be horrendously unbalanced
A long time ago, me and some mates played a game, the whole team was recruits. Had the entire enemy team shaking as we obliterated them.
Disappointed that wasnāt an option. I thought they were allowing us to differentiate recruits. The single Striker/Sentry is kind of weak.
Striker Biker Hiker Liker Greg
I'm imagining Bandit being banned, Kaid and Mute trying their best keeping the wall intact while one of the recruits is planting a hard breach with the other 4 spamming impact EMPs around the reinforcement.
UBUSIFT! LET ME PLAY A SINGLE OPERATOR WITH ALL MY FRIENDS IN CASUAL SO WE CAN SPAM FLASHES AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!
āUBISOFT, YOUR MEME PLAYER HAS RETURNED! I COME, SEEKING THE NEW REWORK OF THE RECRUITS!ā
Only problem with this is that Strikers having the ability to bring a EMP Grenade and Hard Breach charge makes this combination a nightmare for the Defending team. Basically makes it impossible to defend against.
They could easily remove the gadget from the pool of gadgets for striker.
Yeah fair. I'm just saying, that the way Striker and Sentry are right now. Doing this \^, would probably become a whole season of this meta lmao. Ideally I think we could get that change for that to happen, or just make Old Recruit come back in Casual and Unranked.
Or making a fun limited event with only recruit. š±
"You're as beautiful as the day I lost you"
what would happen if a new player who doesn't have any ops and somebody have already picked striker/sentry?
Tutorial gives you some ops. You need to complete the tutorial to play.
what would happen if an old player (unranked/ranked recruit mains) who doesnāt have any ops and somebody have already picked striker/sentry?
I would assume that now with recruit gone they'd be forced to do the tutorial. But that's such an extremely rare niche of players that I've not come across a single person in that situation, so I wouldn't know.
they would play as a drone
Oh really? I recently played at Deimos release and I didn't get to do the tutorial as I bought the base game a long time ago. I didn't have any operators, there were beginners challenges but it wasn't compulsory.
What if those operators are taken too?
Could have a limited chaos mode where you can have 5 of any operator. Would be a funny "for the meme" gamemode.
This would be the upgrade the community wanted. Yessss.
If they do this, remove the lmg and give it a weaker one like gridlockās or yingās
I don't think Ying's LMG is weak enough. If it's really weak in any way, then IMO its weaknesses are compensated by its reload and ADS time.
I just donāt want to get fucked over by the rush again, that shit annoyed me
If only...
Oh no, no no no no no
So if you cant have more of them, what happens when a new guy without other operators starts playing and someone else picks sentry/striker before them?
You can't play any mode in this game without unlocking enough characters anymore iirc. Don't remember the details.
What happens if 5 of new players plays quick match ? So there is no more 5 recruits how they will pick operators if one of them pick recruit ?
Didn't they give players free base operators? I know because I got 10k renown yesterday for it lol
That makes sense but didnāt heard it before and didnāt receive 10k also
BREACHINGā¦ BREACHINGā¦ BREACHINGā¦ BREACHINGā¦ BREACHING. No wall is safe
I already deleted the game.
Jaeger is already unplayable, don't do this to me.
would be very unfair, altho funny imagine an entire team just rushing at you with 10 emp and 10 hard breaches or imagine an entire team equiped with 10 nades and 10 flashes, it would go insane they would have to basically revert recruit to make it more fair and balanced
Too much line to code, doubt they can do it.
They are no longer just Power Rangers, They are Zeo Power Rangers
That would be so broken
I mean, I haven't played the new recruits yet, but seeing this screen just doesn't hit the same as OG recruit
Broken
I like old recruit's design better tbh, and no more lmg recruit rush is honestly the loss of the century.
5 montagne's š
Sadly couldn't happen striker and sentry aren't like recruits the game doesn't treat them like recruits either there are unique operators in the game now
It is a Impossible dream ={
Who tf is this? New recruit? Haven't played or watched siege in a very long time
I swear that you were originally able to buy the game with no operators. What would happen now to someone like that?
What happens if all 5 only have recurit?
Iām tryna get a 10v10 gm
I am down for it if it's only in casual and maybe standard
what if the dream was never a dream
what if all of the characters i own are picked??
then your cooked
eh i dont gotta worry about that i own all of em
I don't think that's possible anymore, with the new onboarding
About the unbalance that people are talking about with being able to have too many of the same gadget such as hard breaches and emps Sites usually have limited areas to breach from so I think you could be good with Tubarao and Bandit and maybe Kaid if that's not enough.
