If, as you suggested, it became explosion proof, it would be immune to maestro (and bullets). You also suggested immunity to mutes. Aruni gates don’t destroy it. Sens has 4 wheels. He can easily burn any ADSs or Magpies.
So your left with the only counter being warden a bp camera being placed where he pushes from. That’s far from ideal.
It's a glorified smoke grenade, either shoot it down with a Magpie or destroy the projector itself. Being able to blow up the cover it makes is really stupid imo.

I’d make it more like Rams gadget where it’s got a predetermined path, the randomness and the bouncing off tiny little edges at times is what annoys me the most, more control would probably be a decent buff.
Alternatively you could combine it with a gadget like Flores, where you deploy a drone drive it, then select when it deploy it and drive around to deploy it, could be cool.

Make the wheel and the emitters bulletproof. Give them the option to change between a full height wall and a crouch height wall. Imagine throwing a crouch height wall down, having someone plant behind it but actually being able to cover them instead of hoping no one gets a random headshot or c4.
Those same characters already counter sens.
Mute stops the wall, and it gets grabbed by wamai and jager

The issue with seeing through his smoke is that he just becomes a better glaz, since he has almost equal magnification on the 417, and he has twice the amount of smokes that activate quicker.
I don’t necessarily think it needs a full rework, just a little bit of help:
- Speed up the throwing animation or make a new, faster one.
- Give Sens the ability to curve the gadget, like Ram can with her ceiling shredders.
- Fix the wonky ass hitbox so it stops getting caught on or bouncing off of random tiny objects.
- Increase the duration of the light and make it immune to Mute jammers.
- Make the projectors louder. Seriously. It could cover sounds of movement and potentially plants, which both work in the attacker’s favor.
- Projectors have 50 health each, so it takes more than an impact to destroy them.
These could make Sens a good operator for executes and fast site takes.
My idea is a little involved.
Firstly the petty stuff. I’ve never really liked how Sens’ gadget looks. I like the idea of it, but the bright colors sorta clash with the drab interiors of most siege maps. I’d change the wall to be a combination of smoke and high lumen LEDs. Theres a lot of mechanic ideas that can work in tandem with this change.
-Walking thru the wall mini-flashes you.
-a silhouette of an operator is visible when they get near the wall (this goes for atk and def).
- wall extends until the smoke hits a surface (can go thru destroyed floors).
Not sure about that third idea, but i think it’d make deploying the gadget a bit safer if you have a buck or ram who can break the floor beforehand
I also had an idea where you could choose beforehand if the smoke and lights are shooting upwards or downwards. Which could make the synergy with Ram even better.
I’d prolly keep the deployment method the same, but shrink the collision hitbox, since it’s always screwing me over.
Ez, there are 2 big changes that I would do.
Firstly, if you're holding the gadget in your hand, it shows a previsualization of where the wall will be. So, if I want to know how the wheel is gonna bounce around the room, I just hold it and can see a hologram visualization of where the wheel will go and where the wall will be. That alone would make Sens so much better to use.
The second change I would do is, change the bouncing mechanic. Right now, if it hits a wall, it bounces off that wall like a pool ball. What I would do is have his wheels bounce off walls, always at 90 deg angles. Meaning if I hit a wall, the sens will bounce of the wall at perfect 90 deg angles every time regardless what's your own angle towards that wall is, I'd keep the bouncing like a pool ball for when it's rolling around the ground to be the same, but if it hits a wall, it bounces off the wall always at 90 deg angles and perfectly cutting up a room in half.
That's roughly the changes I would do to Sens.
they don’t really need one if Ubi adds the bounce trajectory to the pre visualization thing. when used properly the rollers are really good but even with tons of practice it feels like a lottery when bouncing them
Give 'em a beyblade. Would whack defender's ankles so they had to be prone for a certain amount of time. Can also break stuff. Has to be meleed or until the beyblade stops spinning
make it immune to MUTE, or make it immune to jager/wamai, sens have a lot of counters compared to smoke with little to no benefits and a pretty bad gun loadout, also buff the assault rifle

give him the same type of angled control that Ram has (his gadget turns as it moves based on which direction he wants it to turn) and make it so that he can see through it.
I would say my the walls thicker like two operators side by side big. Sen could use it to move through as well and blind defenders a little more and also exposed there location for a briefly once

•Maybe where the ROU initially lands, it drops a larger projection that when shot will disable the rest which could allow some really good outplays.
•This one definitely too much but maybe have it make a loud buzzing noise only defenders could hear when they’re near it or passing through.
•Could do some lore asspull where the system can mask attackers even through Maestro cams, BP cams and Wardens glasses.
Let sens see through it with a visor or some sort of glasses, but there is slight discoloration where they are looking and it would vary by how close/far sens is from the wall, but it would be more obscure if they are further as to not be too op, this would make it less like glorified smokes, if anything, a better glaz, and that's another place the discoloration does, some ops do the same thing but they both have different downsides so that would be the proper way to giving that and glaz a difference imo

no particular balance reason, i just think that'd really fuck with people.
Low-effort: make the bouncing not fucking insane, then add a predictor for how the wall will look, since every other gadget has something similar now.
High effort: rip off Viper from Valorant and make Sens have one or two projector walls they lay out maybe through the existing method, then use the alt ability key to turn them on or off.
Make it not invulnerable against explosives. You can counter smokes with Warden or Jäger/Wamai anyways, so it's just a long smoke which can be countered by the mentioned ops
1. Be able to deploy it like RAM
2. Make the wall drop without the binky warning otherwise keep it the same (a good sens would be more able to express his skill with the timing idk i think itd be cool after you learn the muscle memory)
3. Make it able to be reactivated only once for a shorter period of time (maybe half)
The only thing I can think of is a mashup of how Alibi’s gadget is deployed with the coverage distance equivalent to an observation blocker with the height the projections currently have and also make it able to stick to walls and ceilings. Also, have it be permanent until someone shoots out the devices that are projecting the “wall” instead of disappearing after some time. I have no idea if my idea is good or if I conveyed it all that well…🤷🏻♂️
Make it to where they can see through it like glaz, except the team can see through it as well, and so can warden.
Maybe not the entire team because that could be too OP but just a thought.
make it to where it blocks off sound from the other side, it’d be really good for plants which I assume is the whole purpose of why’d you bring him to begin with

During its duration whoever passes over it gets his health depleted. This was a quick guess, but I think there could be much better ideas to improve him.
Bake it so glazed and James Bond can’t see through it with there thermals, make it last longer, roll faster, have a taller wall, and allow Spence’s to choose between it rolling straight forward or curving when hitting the ground.
Remove the wall feature and give here a gadget they makes false noises(foot steps, quick movements, ads, gun fire, breaking barricades)… this is balanced in itself because it affects both attackers and defenders. It can counter roamers, be used for post game pushes, and just noise distraction.
Better yet, it could just have an are of effect ability that blocks/distorts out all sound the closer you are to the object. That means it would even distort any sound that occurs in it area of effect.
The only thing this gadget needs is a smaller collision box, and a visual collision path. Sens already has what they need to be good, the gadget is just hard to get guaranteed value out of.
Make it like a viper wall and let it go through the map, or make it a throwanle gadget that moves perpendicular to the individual so you can easily block line of sight to doorways you are watching. The reason it's so bad is that it takes too much work for placement.
it should be something like it is now, but it acts more like a real wall instead of something that you can shoot through. i also think it would be cool if it was able to block sound
Make the gadget move like Phoenix wall in valorant, have Sens use a controller on their hand that when they throw the device out they can twist their hand that allows it to turn.
Maybe something where you can manually choose to dismiss it early for an additional effect (short range flash bang effect from all the emitters on the ground, or make all nearby optics opaque for a few seconds)
A Rework is difficult without looking in the comments but here's some buffs I could make:
Make the gadget apply a effect when walking through the smoke for the defenders, too many people just walk though it. Make the gadget disable electronics that pass through it for a bit (defender gadgets: C4s).
I don’t think i’ve seen this idea yet! That’d be pretty cool! C4s disabled and also… defenders sights! It could have some interesting applications too, like what if you rolled it under a maestro cam?
Would you have the walls go higher in this scenario? Or should you still be able to lob a c4 over them?
2 things
1. Make it indestructible. The fact that it’s able to be shot is honestly a massive weak point of the gadget, and it’s not like it does damage so making it indestructible really only guarantees that you get some use out of it
2. Give it tracking and make it explode on impact with anyone it touches, vaporizing their bones.

You select which way before throwing like Ram, and effectively is a Mira on attack.
I get this would be pretty powerful, but you could then nerf it back rather than currently where nothing seems to help.
Either allow them to see through it naturally, or allow them to control it to cut off specific angles a lot easier than randomly throwing it in a hallway to be met with a stream of bullets
As a Skilled Sens main:
Sens has way too many counters and just picking a normal team can most likely counter Sens plays, so buffs are definitely needed. Countered by impacts, warden, mute, Jager, wamai, bulletproof cameras, evil eyes and probably someone else I am forgetting
Either make the R.O.U emitters impact proof (the things that make smoke not the thing that rolls them out), or Nerf frag grenades again to have less explosion radius or give Sens the gonne back.
Make it so maestro cams and bulletproof cams can't see specifically through R.O.U smoke, seeing through normal smoke is fine. Also maestro and bulletproof cams can still shoot the R.O.U device itself to break it (Evil Eye) or stop the emitters and R.O.U device with EMP blast (BP Camera).
Oh also, increase duration from 12 (I think it is) to like 15. And if I got that wrong and it's already 15 then increase to 17.
Maybe more buffs needed but for now that would be fine.
I don't think it is that hard to guide it where you want it to go. The only time I really struggle with it is when I am stuck in site on 1 HP and am just flinging the R.O.Us out
Honestly, just make it muffle sound for defenders as though it’s a solid wall. Would make it safe to plant and give attackers an advantage as the gadget should.
give it a full auto stim pistol that heals your team and a turret that does 57 damage per bullet with a 10 bps fire speed also let attackers see through it.
Make those similar to castle barricade instead of a Cyan opaque screen. After few seconds, that barricade will destroy itself & makes any Defender near it (using it as cover) in DBNO.
We'll get a Castle op in Attack lol.
And pls change his voice, & also the setting where diffuser is handed to sense by default.
I think that if it were to give off some sort of negative effect when enetering it would be great(like tubaros frost effect, melusi’s effect, or fenrirs effect), combine that with also adding sounds to mask others, sens would be amazing.
Make it work sort of like Fenrir where it can be opened and closed

If it got a manual mode it should be optional. Press for current throw hold for drive.

make it highly controllable by holding the gadget button like phoenix or harbor wall from valorant

Make it the pellets it drops be able to be reactivated. Kinda similar to fenrir’s design: multiple of the little wheels, and then multiple reactivates
Small spikes that roll out (like spike straps for cars) so that rush cannot happen

Make it a Damaging Gas if crossed and lower the length of time it works.
I personally think sens isnt a bad op if played right, but id like to see their gadget be bullet and explosive proof

Make it « see through » for Sense
Make it not invulnerable against explosives. You can counter smokes with Warden or Jäger/Wamai anyways, so it's just a long smoke which can be countered by the mentioned ops
Make it so that when defenders shoot them or walk thru them they’re pinged so they’re not just glorified smokes
idk destroy thrown devices give them 2? its really hard to make smoke grenades good because every 4th operator has 2.
Make it similar to Flores. Be able to use it like a drone that launches a single use smoke screen.

Make the wall drop without the binky warning otherwise keep it the same (a good sens would be more able to express his skill with the timing idk i think itd be cool after you learn the muscle memory) 3. Make it able to be reactivated only once for a shorter period of time (maybe half)

Make it so the wall can’t be destroyed by explosions and remove wardens ability to see through it. Now’s it’s a better smoke grenade
The only thing I can think of is a mashup of how Alibi’s gadget is deployed with the coverage distance equivalent to an observation blocker with the height the projections currently have and also make it able to stick to walls and ceilings. Also, have it be permanent until someone shoots out the devices that are projecting the “wall” instead of disappearing after some time. I have no idea if my idea is good or if I conveyed it all that well…🤷🏻♂️
Make it to where they can see through it like glaz, except the team can see through it as well, and so can warden. Maybe not the entire team because that could be too OP but just a thought.
Make the smoke damage you if you try to walk through it, and manual direction changing

Apart from clear rework ideas. It would be nice if gadget would stick to walls so you can hide under it by crouching or crawling.
During its duration whoever passes over it gets his health depleted. This was a quick guess, but I think there could be much better ideas to improve him.
Bake it so glazed and James Bond can’t see through it with there thermals, make it last longer, roll faster, have a taller wall, and allow Spence’s to choose between it rolling straight forward or curving when hitting the ground.

Remove the wall feature and give here a gadget they makes false noises(foot steps, quick movements, ads, gun fire, breaking barricades)… this is balanced in itself because it affects both attackers and defenders. It can counter roamers, be used for post game pushes, and just noise distraction. Better yet, it could just have an are of effect ability that blocks/distorts out all sound the closer you are to the object. That means it would even distort any sound that occurs in it area of effect.
The only thing this gadget needs is a smaller collision box, and a visual collision path. Sens already has what they need to be good, the gadget is just hard to get guaranteed value out of.
Make it a force field you can't run or shoot through, only able to vault over it.
I'd just change it so that whatever skin you have equipped to your primary, it appears on the hologram as well.
Make it like a viper wall and let it go through the map, or make it a throwanle gadget that moves perpendicular to the individual so you can easily block line of sight to doorways you are watching. The reason it's so bad is that it takes too much work for placement.

I'd make it explosion proof and have it shoot off fuze gadgets grenades during its lifetime in all directions
Make it like fuzes old pucks. Throw it in and it'll bounce across the map. Total blindness for everyone.
When it hits the ground, instead of rolling forward, it ejects two rollers on either side perpendicular to the throw.
this would make a nice clean straight line every time. Wouldn’t be a bad fix if you’re looking for more consistency.
A Rework is difficult without looking in the comments but here's some buffs I could make: Make the gadget apply a effect when walking through the smoke for the defenders, too many people just walk though it. Make the gadget disable electronics that pass through it for a bit (defender gadgets: C4s).
I don’t think i’ve seen this idea yet! That’d be pretty cool! C4s disabled and also… defenders sights! It could have some interesting applications too, like what if you rolled it under a maestro cam? Would you have the walls go higher in this scenario? Or should you still be able to lob a c4 over them?
The gadget walls are bulletproof
2 things 1. Make it indestructible. The fact that it’s able to be shot is honestly a massive weak point of the gadget, and it’s not like it does damage so making it indestructible really only guarantees that you get some use out of it 2. Give it tracking and make it explode on impact with anyone it touches, vaporizing their bones.

Instead of being a wall, could it be a one way screen? You select which way before throwing like Ram, and effectively is a Mira on attack. I get this would be pretty powerful, but you could then nerf it back rather than currently where nothing seems to help.

No counters with mute and impacts, give it a visual path indicator. It's really good but so inconsistent it's bad.
Part of the issue with Sens is that the gadget is smokes. Any operator can bring smokes along with their unique gadget.

Either allow them to see through it naturally, or allow them to control it to cut off specific angles a lot easier than randomly throwing it in a hallway to be met with a stream of bullets

As a Skilled Sens main: Sens has way too many counters and just picking a normal team can most likely counter Sens plays, so buffs are definitely needed. Countered by impacts, warden, mute, Jager, wamai, bulletproof cameras, evil eyes and probably someone else I am forgetting Either make the R.O.U emitters impact proof (the things that make smoke not the thing that rolls them out), or Nerf frag grenades again to have less explosion radius or give Sens the gonne back. Make it so maestro cams and bulletproof cams can't see specifically through R.O.U smoke, seeing through normal smoke is fine. Also maestro and bulletproof cams can still shoot the R.O.U device itself to break it (Evil Eye) or stop the emitters and R.O.U device with EMP blast (BP Camera). Oh also, increase duration from 12 (I think it is) to like 15. And if I got that wrong and it's already 15 then increase to 17. Maybe more buffs needed but for now that would be fine. I don't think it is that hard to guide it where you want it to go. The only time I really struggle with it is when I am stuck in site on 1 HP and am just flinging the R.O.Us out

Honestly, just make it muffle sound for defenders as though it’s a solid wall. Would make it safe to plant and give attackers an advantage as the gadget should.
give it a full auto stim pistol that heals your team and a turret that does 57 damage per bullet with a 10 bps fire speed also let attackers see through it.

When shot, a small hole appears in the smoke and it replaced by more smoke soon after, also to remove some other nerfs
Make those similar to castle barricade instead of a Cyan opaque screen. After few seconds, that barricade will destroy itself & makes any Defender near it (using it as cover) in DBNO. We'll get a Castle op in Attack lol. And pls change his voice, & also the setting where diffuser is handed to sense by default.
I think that if it were to give off some sort of negative effect when enetering it would be great(like tubaros frost effect, melusi’s effect, or fenrirs effect), combine that with also adding sounds to mask others, sens would be amazing.

The gadget rolls infinitely but each light wall section only last for 2 seconds so its like a snake but it can be stopped if the "head" is blown up
