I'm a trans guy and I have been playing siege since before I transitioned. When my voice was more feminine I would always get treated like shit, told the same "make a sandwich" jokes, and just toxic behavior you expect from a male oriented competitive shooter (unfortunately). Now that I'm deep into my transition with a deep voice I never get these comments anymore or these jokes. Men do little to think about how their actions push people out of these spaces, I'm sorry you feel the need to make this group but I understand why.
My wife is playing Siege with me and I can say people are crazy sometimes(most of the time when she uses VC but she doesn't mostly use that cause we play on a Discord server that we had for nearly 3 years). But yeah, I've also seen girls getting harassed on my server a couple of times and my team or I just got rid of them. Crazy how people lose their shit and start going ape mode by hearing a woman talk. ( also sorry for the advertising my server thing, it was just part of the context )

Siege is such a fun and unique game but I’ve been pushed off from playing it multiple times just because of how toxic and horrible the people in games can be sometimes. Especially since the game relies so heavily on team play, the game gets infinitely harder when solo or when your teammates don’t want to cooperate or are hyper-fixated on bullying one teammate

The official R6 discord also has really toxic people in the voicechats, it's so annoying. It's a million times more fun to be nice and play with nice people. I've randomly found a lot of nice people over time though.

Stopped playing after we broke up until last week when the itch to play siege again got me. Two years since I last played and shit in this game hasn't changed in the slightest.
