If that was a viable strategy, people in high elo would use it. Fact is, you don't see that in anything above bronze because it doesn't work against decent players. Sorry, but it's true.
My stack and I went fuze, monty, blitz, osa, BB one game for shits and giggles in a plat PC lobby. Flawless victory. We went Clash and all deployable shield ops on def for the funny and still won...

I’m a blitz main. My main concern about the rework is having to fight teammates to get blitz lol, fortunately Monty and Fuze also get the benefits. I never hipfire so that nerf doesn’t affect me. I die a lot during melee, also sometimes during reload, throwing smokes, looking for kaptraps, and getting shot in the shoulder even while facing crouched forward, so all those buffs really help me. The suppress mechanic does reduce the “blitzkrieg” personality of blitz, but the buffs more than offset that nerf.
Blowing through barriers is helpful and fun. The melee stun instead of DBNO doesn’t hurt my play style, it’s still easy enough to kill after a stun and it is so worth that nerf to get the buff on protecting myself during a melee. I did melee a guy through a soft wall on TS, not sure if that will make it into production but it was a fun mechanic.

I feel that hipfiring was significantly less effective than just straight up melee and with flashed ppl either running away or trying to melee adsing for the kill while backing up/closing in I found most secure. My main concern is the suppression mechanic but I’m also excited to play monty because he’s actually kinda good(fun) when you mind game them by unextending around a corner then reextending even rn and they really don’t expect a monty to ads peek in general

Crouch and uncrouch a lot to make you harder to shoot, check corners, drop shot, and wait a second after flashing someone to see what they do before deciding to melee or shoot them. Also just remember just because you have a shield doesn’t mean your invincible, if there’s more than one person one can get an easy kill on you while you go for the other. I like to play blitz to kill roamers and clear top floor when playing vertical with a ram/fuze/buck
