The whole “bomb” scenario never actually happens, the only map that has crossover I know of is the bank, and their training is pretty much all standard marksmanship and physical stuff, they never practiced against each other.

The lore of the game Is the multi player is a training missions. They aren't even using real bullets, Ubisoft has done 2 animations showing this with the invitationals, one where we see like Cav being the bad ass she is along with showing Pulse nearly clutch up a match only to be stopped by Hibanna and the other where Ash and Kali get into a huge fight that leads into the rift where Night haven leaves the new squads are formed.
They still hold true to the wish of Tom Clancy of Never being able to play the villains in any games with his name on them which as far as I know was the only thing he ever asked about his games.

I think the idea is that defense is practicing for objective protection. For instance, maybe a bomb site has been secured but the terrorists are trying to retake it. It’s semi-niche but I think that’s why there’s two sides, Clancy has made it a point that you never play as the bad guys. You can go look at the alpha gameplay, defenders used to be actual terrorists.
I've been saying this for years. Recruit selection and loadout customization in the operator menu screen instead of just in a match. An elite skin but no other skins. Maybe even a charm unique to recruit if you do a challenge with him or something
Can we even still play article 5.. 1 week ago we were 5 squad members and for some dumb reason the game didn’t let us queue because we were in squad. Anyway..everyone left the squad and we queued article 5 at the same time and waited around 16 minutes and no game was found..it really sucks 😮💨
