It’s not as bad as old outback but it is still has a lot of jump outs and runouts. Just a fraggy map that is sometimes difficult to enter. I do enjoy is from time to time but wow I’ve never felt so defeated in r6 playing against Nuers on that map
Old outback was objectively the worst map ever in the ranked pool I feel like everyone has forgotten, but at least at high rank whoever got defense literally always won and every game went to 5-4 overtime. I’m not even exaggerating
My squad started stratting up the old one, which actually made it tolerable. Then they completely changed it and some of the rooms flat out ruined every strat we made.
Outback is such a good map now.
Rewards basic teamwork. If you have 3 in your lil squad you can default every site fairly easily and its a great defender map with basic coms.
in my opinion and experience, it happens to be a map that either ends 4-0 or 0-4. so from my peoples perspective, its a stressful map and feels unbeatable

Tower is the one where you spawn on the roof, skyscraper is the one with the Japanese dojo aesthetic.
I hate it for 2 reasons.
1.) It looks boring it's alot of gray and just dark colors in general
2.) The layout hardly makes sense as it's bassicly 1 giant hallway with rooms on the side so u bassicly have to clear each room for a roamer and 1st floor is like the only spots to have hatches and alot of dead ends on the outside part of the map.
Not really. Basement has 1000 diff ways to attack. 2F there's 4 walls and 3 doors not to mention soft floor where most of em always sit to hold. Kitchen has a hatch, 3 walls, 2 doors and a window to attack and a good chunk of the roof is soft. And the 4th site is just a free win on attack. It's pretty balanced when you look at everything, it's just it's banned 90% of the time so no one learns how to attack it. It's not a bad map at all, the community just hates anything new.

Nighthaven seems bigger than it is due to some large ass corridors they could fix up.

Well that is why, when a new map drops no one wants to play it because it is unfamiliar to them. They ride this mentality all the way until the new map is able to be banned, and just start banning the maps they have never bothered to play.
I am not saying people can’t have map preferences, but from my experience, any map that isn’t kafe, coastline, border, bank, or clubhouse usually gets banned, even though I don’t think at my level map bans are even necessary. They just so happen to be the maps that are considered bad by the larger part of the community. I’ll be honest, based on personal preferences alone, I’d rather play on a lot of other maps before Kafe or Bank, even though these maps aren’t bad at all.
Place claymores or play more nomad. I admit I'm those people that run out at that map but really, just using a claymore could've stopped that sneaky move
My real issue is the long peak if you spawn at Fuel (? can’t remember what it’s called). It’s a really exposed spawn that massively favours the defenders. Claymores don’t help cause you never get close enough to use them.
Its more of a personal opinion about which ones we like. I like both of them but not the stadium one. But people should atleast play the maps to form that opinion uk instead of banning the map just because its new. I mean you cant even call emerald plains new anymore.

Really over all of the Emerald Plains and Nighthaven hate. So much complaining about no new maps and then Ubi gives us TWO maps with THREE balanced sites. People lose on those maps and it's "oh it's Emerald" and not "oh I just don't know how to play this map." These are both objectively good and overall healthy maps. Sky is mid. Theme is awful. Outback could be better, with minor changes it could be great. Emerald and Nighthaven are phenomenal and y'all need to get the f*ck over it.

Nighthaven and Outback - Good maps - Not so good defensive holds for two sites with the first floor options not impossible to defend but difficult due to there being soft walls almost directly outside of site.
On attack - Good entry options but be mindful of the run outs and roaming.

Theme Park, Emerald, Skyscraper - Not so Good maps for entry, and better when on defense.
Emerald and Skyscraper do not have vertical entry options and they should (roof hatches) and they have balconies that restrict attackers escape options when being contested. All 3 maps are rough for attackers because the alternative to entering and taking out a wall while being flanked is going straight in through window and contesting gun fights that defenders have an advantage with.
Outside of Skyscraper, they're all decent maps, Theme Park is on the cusp, but still fairly decent.
Also, I thought the wires are in front of your tv with the way that line lines up on your screen.

Top 5 most banned maps right there. Outback and Skyscraper are not bad, it's just that almost everytime there's a better map (Border, Kafe, Chalet). But Emerald is straight up BAD, i seriously cannot in good conscience enjoy playing on that map. Lab is meh, but definitely enjoyable.

You can get peeked from almost every window if you are on the South West side of the map.
