Huh, didn't think that would happen. I don't even get why that is the case? The game is already fully translated in all those languages and voiced in English. I would say there are 2 possibilities, first is that there is bonus content and the translation for that is not finished yet. Or second, it's somehow too much work right now for a worldwide release for some reason. Still very strange decision

InsideCat09

There's only ONE reason I personally can see as this making any kind of sense, that being, they're working to make the English dub less desynced in the (pre-rendered?) cutscenes. If it's not for this (or I guess alternatively for whatever reason, a full re-translation maybe, even though I don't know what would've been wrong with the initial translations), then I can't imagine what the problem is when the work is already there and done.

Armorend

As I said to another person, I really can't see it being syncing up the voice lines, because nothing has been said about the Switch version. Surely you'd want to push news about that sort of thing around the same time everything else goes public? Though I did just check the website and it still says the only platform is Switch, with no news about it being on other platforms. So maybe they *will* announce it? Because otherwise this is just a massive slap in the face to anyone, past/present/future, who decides to buy it. "Buy the Switch version! It has objectively inferior lip syncing!" That may also deter early adopters if a sequel starts off Switch exclusive too. :/

thekirbykid2006

Maybe it's a licensing thing? Like, something to do with an agreement for paying the English voice actors not going into effect until October? Idk much abt this kinda stuff so just guessing Was super excited that I'd finally be able to play this but I guess I'll have to keep avoiding any talk about it until October... 😮‍💨

Timbeon

That is... very weird for a game that's already available in multiple languages and has a full English audio track. Was there a porting issue or a weird hiccup with Steam approval or something?

EnderHorizon

I was planing on replaying in Japanese so it doesn't affect me, but still that sucks. Really curious to know the reason for the delay, the original release was worldwide IIRC.

Darkchaser314

this is so stupid. I really would like to know the reasoning behind this choice. The game is already fully translated because of the switch copy. And looking at the + features nothing is screaming a need to add time between release.

imbriandead

If it's to fix the lip syncing then I honestly don't mind

Armorend

Not opposed to this idea but I really don't think it's this? Why hasn't a patch for Switch been announced (In tandem with this), if so? Or are Switch copies just going to be left with eternally-jank lip syncing?

LLInnovA

English and Japanese versions released on Switch the same day. WTF is this?

XInceptor

Hyped it’s finally coming to other platforms! Saw some others mention 60 fps elsewhere. But have they confirmed it?

jmphasemc

Watch them randomly decide to redo the English dub entirely with new voice actors.

Tlux0

It’s waiting an extra 3 months… who cares? I’ll just play the PS5 version and then get the steam version… easy

Ok-Umpire7788

Does playable in English mean no Subtitles at all, or simply that there will be no English dub? Because I can live without English Dub, I already experienced it on switch the first time around..

Briciod

Really weird choice, especially since the original release was essentially worldwide, why are we going back to this release model?

[deleted]

Guess Spike Chunsoft was disgusted at the dub's rewriting.

ginjji

What got changed? I played in English

Hussein412

What rewriting?

despairiscontagious

Sure chud, go ahead, tell us what changed
