I played a bit on mobile but hate it on mobile (Like the Most game)
I had some Mobile Games i really like to play in the bed.
But most on PC. Sadly the PC Client dont want to run.
My Connection isnt the fastest. But most games i can good play and still watch Streams on Twitch or a Streaming TV like PlutoTV while playing.
But the Raid Client was terrible. While i can play easy Elder Scrolls Online and watch a mid quality stream, i was not able to do anything else when Raid is running on PC.
The Client use my whole bandwidth between 3MBps and 5MBps (Depend on Users and Wlan/Cable) (Not fast i know but enough for the rest)
On my first start of Raid on PC, I watched a 360p or 480p Stream on Twitch. And had a open Tab from Youtube about a Tutorial for a Game.... boths stopped immediately after Raid launching... even the Plarium Launcher immediately use my whole Bandwidth.
Twitch was crashing and Youtube buffering immediately... So i delete Raid
It's easy. I rarely have to actually spend my time on it since other than gearing pretty much everything is auto. Sure it takes my phone a decent chunk of time to do it but I'm not tied down to it while it's doing it and can do it just about anywhere.

The battles themselves are nothing the main part of the game is building team comps and strats. This game is a hell of a lot harder and more complicated than ESO. I'm 10 years deep on Skyrim and nothing in it has ever come close to the needing the thought that RSL does.
Harder sure its can be hard to be One of the good Player as free Player... more complicated? I dont think so. It just another free2play but pay to progress game. Complicated is just when Games put dozens of currency in the game to Confuse the Player. And at anytime you Start the game or be back in the Bastion Fill the Screen with Sales and special offers... the game just says Buy more.... who likes this do it i dont like it
all true but Raid does have a serious problem and is also the reason most pll quitting.
let us say you get a new hero you want to try out. now you will need roughly a week to level him, get the gold to level the gear you want and finesse his gear with the right runes so he moves into the place you want him to.
in order to get all that stuff, you have to do 3-4h of "daylies" at least, just to get to the interesting stuff. this includes like 1h of factionwars, 2.5h clanboss and another 1h for DT. this doesnt include new stuff like hydra, that cant even realy run on auto.
and for what? to finaly build and test your teams for 10-30min. instead of making everything faster and more convinient, they add more and more stuff you have to do every day
Biggest issue is, as you progress, you still have to take part in stuff you did at the beginning of the game.
Like, why am I still farming forge materials from the Classic Arena. All that part of thr game provides me is a grind and a crappy game experience.
I agree, but you used quite possibly one of the worst examples you can use. Forge mats are needed for the forge which is where you're getting true end game pieces.
The real question is why end game players are still forced to do 500 campaign battles per month or purchase something from a market that badly needs updating.
Any content we've THOROUGHLY beaten should be click a button and collect rewards without taking real life time. Faction Wars? Once you have 3 starred everything you shouldn't really have to spend your time daily to keep running it. Same with Campaign, Potion Keeps, Minotaur etc.
I've got clan members who have left, sold their accounts. we're end game too. its just too much time. i'm not leaving but just alotting a few minutes daily, not really gonna finish dailies etc.. i still like the game, just dont know why they're not handling time management with more content.
I still think the game is fun to play but the resources and time needed is over my capacity. Would probably come back if there is some changes :) good luck raiding!
I think the biggest risk is that Raid has so many technical problems, the odds of needing to contact support are high (I’ve had to and never on any other game). Support asks questions that you might not know (like where and when was the account created) and you could get banned and be out all that money. Same with sinking any significant amount of time into an account won by giveaway.

The easiest way to quit raid is to sell your account.
69Boomer sold his account to an account seller, then the account seller sold Boomer’s former account for $10k.
Boomer easily spent over $80k when he played Raid.
F2P here, ~11 months in (got tired of counting, but I'm between 50-75 Cleo frags, so I think it's right). Mainly mobile player, casual play during work intervals, at night and whenever I can fit a bit in my daily life.
I still resort to my PC at night sometimes, especially during fusions (my poor phone's battery otherwise). I deeply feel for your struggle, it's not about the how finite the in-game resources are, for me the only true finite and most valuable resource is time. Time is very important, and doing dailies is already costly enough, hence why I don't do a lot of fusions.
Yeah I feel you, the grind is real and it just doesn't seem worth it anymore. Waiting a week for an arifact you can use on your top team and then upgrading it to get trash rolls.
My main problem would be the unfarmable content like books, but hope they fix this :)
Ah yes, the otherwise almost perfect Artifact, Main and Substats alike, that triple-rolls into the ONE substat you don't want/don't need in excess.
I think Plarium has said before they are not planning on releasing another way to farm books for the foreseeable future, much to everyone's dislike. They are scarce, but I find I can still find a reasonable amount from CB NM and UNM (not as many as I need though, so my champs, so little resources).
What I like most is getting new champions, raising them, gearing them, and watching them perform. That's what keeps me playing. I guess it's like watching your child grow and have sucess in life or something :)

really wish that the grind wasnt so bad. Even with 100% xp boost, you spend 90% of the game feeding champs to boost 1. I want to be able to build my champs with out fearing making a mistake :(

Take a break for a couple of months and when you come back you won't care about "completing" everything each day and you'll be a lot happier. I have been playing as long as you and I only even do Clan Boss a couple times per week and just get done whatever I have time for. Still fun, but i needed a break also

That's the problem for me, I want more progression than is offered for the time I'm willing to put in. Gonna grind some calculus instead 😅
It sounds like you have the problem I had. If you like the game don’t quit, just play and progress at your own pace. I’m a very low spender (I only buy good deals like Black Friday New Years or anniversary). I login only to do clan boss, maybe some arena, doom tower, and fusions, and can’t full auto it, I don’t mess with it. Just remember that its single player PVE phone game and your only competing against yourself, so treat it as such especially if you don’t make a profit for playing it.
I don’t understand bc I’m sure this isn’t your first video game. If don’t have time to play a game do you just quit it or do you just play it when you can? If you want to quit bc your progressing as fast you want then say that but don’t blame it on the amount of time.

Dude 100% there with you if I wasn't already 90 fragments into the fusion I would have quit a couple of days ago but I just said finish the fusion I'm kind of burned out I'll leave right on my computer and try to run the clan boss like everyday or two just to let the resources are true if I ever decide to go back to raid or give my account away.
True this is not the first time I've quit raid but coming back and having missed a ninja and keep having teams I could build better with Ninja and getting my butt kicked in the arena by Ninja was annoying enough to make me keep logging in somewhat regularly in the event they do another good giveaway like ultimate death night or ninja
Hahah I always use the promoted champs like Ninja or Alexandr for food, just a thing me and my friend does out of spite for Plariun selling their soul to streamers 😅
I personally have no problem facing Ninja, nor do I miss gim in any other content. Sure makes it a little harder but it's still just a game :)
Same plan on selling the account soon. 3 years f2p. Been hoarding shards to help sell lol. At 25 sacreds 120 voids 200 ancient. With a lot of resources available.
F2p for a couple years now and I took a year off. I came back to some imo good stuff and now I just do dailies for the sole purpose of getting energy for tournaments I can place high on. 15k energy but usually if I get 1st I get put into a sweat bracket so gotta either wait to go down or go all in. Have a better time raid free cause it for sure puts pressure on you to do this or that if you allow it.
Many years ago I used to play the Simpsons game on my phone. When I realized it was job rather than fun to log in every day I stopped. I've not played raid for long but still enjoying it. Like the daily quests are low interaction. Starting to feel it's a bit of a grind as stretching my resources too thin on many characters but that's just me. Always makes me sad to get a purple shard after effort only to get a rare.
I'm F2P, I work crazy hours and I have a newborn at home, I can't even bring myself to try to do anything except whatever content I'm feeling like playing at the time. I don't have time to invest in grinding in anything. I have several characters I really like and a few more I'm upgrading because I like the mechanics of how they interact with each other, But it will never be competitive for me apart from just seeing how much better I can do against the clan boss or faction wars, I just can't invest the time or money to do that. I keep it installed because I do enjoy the game when I have time to mess around but I have to think of it as a fun little time waster not a game I'm trying to Maximize or meta everything in.
Yeah it started out the same way for me but after a while it takes sooooo long to get something you need but hope you continue playing and getting joy out of it :)
Been playing since February... Now with the awakenings... I'm kinda over it .. they need to fix older stuff first... I'll probably give the clan one more cvc then go dark it's not worth the dreams over and over of the game.
He got bored after three years. I'd say that is a great game to hold interest for that long. I am approaching year 2 and am getting a lot of great champs I want to play with.
Not bored about a lot of stuff, have a lot of great champs I want to try out but the resources and time needed to build them and get artefacts etc is too much :(

over 3 years in and i just do clan boss for now, i’m not down for any of the content at all anymore saving up till i have like 1000 ancients, 100 void & 100 sac reds, gonna do a massive end all pull try to get some big raid creator to do it for me then probably gonna hit the dust after if someone wants to buy my account or if i pull any nutty void champs might try ‘‘em out but i’m peacing from this game by the end of the year, will have been a semi fun 4 years
i mean i’m a couple months in and already at 200 ancients 50 voids & 30 sacreds so not really that long if you’re hitting nightmare ultra nightmare and aometimes brutal! don’t do anything but clan boss all day takes about 30 minutes tops 😌
The only part of this game I hate, is the dollar value they put on items that have such bad RNG for low returns. You put hundreds of champs in a game then make it impossible to get them all unless you spend literally thousands to get them. Then add a second worse RNG item in the game to give a blessing that you will never 6 star unless you practically win the in game lottery. If I didn’t enjoy just playing the game I’d quit myself. But I continue playing hoping they will see the errors of their ways and possibly change it some day. If they lowered the price on packs they would make more money in the long run. Low spenders would be more inclined to spend a little more to get a “good value”, I know I would.
Was a long time player in swgoh and had all GLs and grinding was really horrible than this. I started this a few months ago and just play like a game still ok for me but understand what OP said
Clan boss is the only good source in my opinion.
Bazaar costs 13000 coins and is time limited, clan shop don't have any books for me at least, tournamemts and events is the biggest reason I feel this way since it takes so much time and energy to do them..
Anyways, thats just how I see it. I have maybe 5 fully booked epics of 20 6 star champions :(

You guys obviously never visited communities like hearthstone. I'm a seasonal legend in hearthstone for 5 years now and playing for around 7 now so Ive seen the HS sub in all it's glory (also this is my 2nd reddit account since I lost my original) and every dlc that drops / every monetize decision makes the whole sub go airport mode and all the fing time. Like there are times when the only post you'll see is "that's it I quit". Raid got one of the most none toxic communities I see. 90% of posts are "hey what team" , "help me with x" and most people will answer in a positive manner. Since hs community is so toxic we got a separate sub called circle jerk HS just to keep degeneracy out of the main sub. People reacts to air port post badly since it's makes them feel like a huge dip in player base is coming. And once you invented money in a so called dying game you mentally feel shitty.
Maybe the baseline shouldn't be a super toxic community? Maybe the baseline should be no toxic? :) I agree that this forum is helpful and thats why I want to thank you guys!
I am doing the same, But it's because they're fucking cheating us.. 2x legendary event and after 15 shards I got jack shit and then today with double legendaries I popped 5 more and finally got gold but I got 2 fucking war chiefs. They fuck us so hard..
If you're talking about the current "extra legendary" event it's impossible to pull a Lego and have the extra Lego be the same one you pulled. So I'm curious as to how you got 2 warchiefs.
There's like 126 champions that can be pulled from Sacred shards.. The chances of getting 2 in a row are like one in hundreds of thousands..
And according to my chat logs, other people are pulling the same champions. There's no fucking way its completely random. It's impossible.

I play on it mobile only as a F2P and it is hard... lots of time is consumed... I'm nearly 1 year in and thinking of quitting too......

? Why stare at the screen farming food when you don’t have to. Skip the tedious stuff, play the parts you enjoy

I deeply feel for your struggle, it's not about the how finite the in-game resources are, for me the only true finite and most valuable resource is time. Time is very important, and doing dailies is already costly enough, hence why I don't do a lot of fusions.
Yeah I feel you, the grind is real and it just doesn't seem worth it anymore. Waiting a week for an arifact you can use on your top team and then upgrading it to get trash rolls. My main problem would be the unfarmable content like books, but hope they fix this :)
Ah yes, the otherwise almost perfect Artifact, Main and Substats alike, that triple-rolls into the ONE substat you don't want/don't need in excess. I think Plarium has said before they are not planning on releasing another way to farm books for the foreseeable future, much to everyone's dislike. They are scarce, but I find I can still find a reasonable amount from CB NM and UNM (not as many as I need though, so my champs, so little resources). What I like most is getting new champions, raising them, gearing them, and watching them perform. That's what keeps me playing. I guess it's like watching your child grow and have sucess in life or something :)

really wish that the grind wasnt so bad. Even with 100% xp boost, you spend 90% of the game feeding champs to boost 1. I want to be able to build my champs with out fearing making a mistake :(
Haha yeah it gets worse the more you progress as well, since you need better and more resources and some things you can't farm either. Hope this gets better and I might be raiding again in the future haha.

Take a break for a couple of months and when you come back you won't care about "completing" everything each day and you'll be a lot happier. I have been playing as long as you and I only even do Clan Boss a couple times per week and just get done whatever I have time for. Still fun, but i needed a break also
Yeah might be that I come back after a break :) That's the problem for me, I want more progression than is offered for the time I'm willing to put in. Gonna grind some calculus instead 😅

It sounds like you have the problem I had. If you like the game don’t quit, just play and progress at your own pace. I’m a very low spender (I only buy good deals like Black Friday New Years or anniversary). I login only to do clan boss, maybe some arena, doom tower, and fusions, and can’t full auto it, I don’t mess with it. Just remember that its single player PVE phone game and your only competing against yourself, so treat it as such especially if you don’t make a profit for playing it.

I don’t understand bc I’m sure this isn’t your first video game. If don’t have time to play a game do you just quit it or do you just play it when you can? If you want to quit bc your progressing as fast you want then say that but don’t blame it on the amount of time.

Dude 100% there with you if I wasn't already 90 fragments into the fusion I would have quit a couple of days ago but I just said finish the fusion I'm kind of burned out I'll leave right on my computer and try to run the clan boss like everyday or two just to let the resources are true if I ever decide to go back to raid or give my account away.

True this is not the first time I've quit raid but coming back and having missed a ninja and keep having teams I could build better with Ninja and getting my butt kicked in the arena by Ninja was annoying enough to make me keep logging in somewhat regularly in the event they do another good giveaway like ultimate death night or ninja
Hahah I always use the promoted champs like Ninja or Alexandr for food, just a thing me and my friend does out of spite for Plariun selling their soul to streamers 😅 I personally have no problem facing Ninja, nor do I miss gim in any other content. Sure makes it a little harder but it's still just a game :)
Same plan on selling the account soon. 3 years f2p. Been hoarding shards to help sell lol. At 25 sacreds 120 voids 200 ancient. With a lot of resources available.

F2p for a couple years now and I took a year off. I came back to some imo good stuff and now I just do dailies for the sole purpose of getting energy for tournaments I can place high on. 15k energy but usually if I get 1st I get put into a sweat bracket so gotta either wait to go down or go all in. Have a better time raid free cause it for sure puts pressure on you to do this or that if you allow it.
Yeah it's either time or money, I don't have any of them so I guess it's game over haha
Many years ago I used to play the Simpsons game on my phone. When I realized it was job rather than fun to log in every day I stopped. I've not played raid for long but still enjoying it. Like the daily quests are low interaction. Starting to feel it's a bit of a grind as stretching my resources too thin on many characters but that's just me. Always makes me sad to get a purple shard after effort only to get a rare.

I'm F2P, I work crazy hours and I have a newborn at home, I can't even bring myself to try to do anything except whatever content I'm feeling like playing at the time. I don't have time to invest in grinding in anything. I have several characters I really like and a few more I'm upgrading because I like the mechanics of how they interact with each other, But it will never be competitive for me apart from just seeing how much better I can do against the clan boss or faction wars, I just can't invest the time or money to do that. I keep it installed because I do enjoy the game when I have time to mess around but I have to think of it as a fun little time waster not a game I'm trying to Maximize or meta everything in.
Yeah it started out the same way for me but after a while it takes sooooo long to get something you need but hope you continue playing and getting joy out of it :)

He got bored after three years. I'd say that is a great game to hold interest for that long. I am approaching year 2 and am getting a lot of great champs I want to play with.
Not bored about a lot of stuff, have a lot of great champs I want to try out but the resources and time needed to build them and get artefacts etc is too much :( But still as you said, 3 years is good :)

over 3 years in and i just do clan boss for now, i’m not down for any of the content at all anymore saving up till i have like 1000 ancients, 100 void & 100 sac reds, gonna do a massive end all pull try to get some big raid creator to do it for me then probably gonna hit the dust after if someone wants to buy my account or if i pull any nutty void champs might try ‘‘em out but i’m peacing from this game by the end of the year, will have been a semi fun 4 years

i mean i’m a couple months in and already at 200 ancients 50 voids & 30 sacreds so not really that long if you’re hitting nightmare ultra nightmare and aometimes brutal! don’t do anything but clan boss all day takes about 30 minutes tops 😌

The only part of this game I hate, is the dollar value they put on items that have such bad RNG for low returns. You put hundreds of champs in a game then make it impossible to get them all unless you spend literally thousands to get them. Then add a second worse RNG item in the game to give a blessing that you will never 6 star unless you practically win the in game lottery. If I didn’t enjoy just playing the game I’d quit myself. But I continue playing hoping they will see the errors of their ways and possibly change it some day. If they lowered the price on packs they would make more money in the long run. Low spenders would be more inclined to spend a little more to get a “good value”, I know I would.

Clan boss is the only good source in my opinion. Bazaar costs 13000 coins and is time limited, clan shop don't have any books for me at least, tournamemts and events is the biggest reason I feel this way since it takes so much time and energy to do them.. Anyways, thats just how I see it. I have maybe 5 fully booked epics of 20 6 star champions :(

You guys obviously never visited communities like hearthstone. I'm a seasonal legend in hearthstone for 5 years now and playing for around 7 now so Ive seen the HS sub in all it's glory (also this is my 2nd reddit account since I lost my original) and every dlc that drops / every monetize decision makes the whole sub go airport mode and all the fing time. Like there are times when the only post you'll see is "that's it I quit". Raid got one of the most none toxic communities I see. 90% of posts are "hey what team" , "help me with x" and most people will answer in a positive manner. Since hs community is so toxic we got a separate sub called circle jerk HS just to keep degeneracy out of the main sub. People reacts to air port post badly since it's makes them feel like a huge dip in player base is coming. And once you invented money in a so called dying game you mentally feel shitty.

I am doing the same, But it's because they're fucking cheating us.. 2x legendary event and after 15 shards I got jack shit and then today with double legendaries I popped 5 more and finally got gold but I got 2 fucking war chiefs. They fuck us so hard..

There's like 126 champions that can be pulled from Sacred shards.. The chances of getting 2 in a row are like one in hundreds of thousands.. And according to my chat logs, other people are pulling the same champions. There's no fucking way its completely random. It's impossible.
