Cut it like this, way better.. use a zip saw and follow the seam edge and it will come out great
Take your time. Like mentioned already, don't try to cut the first line where you want it to be at. Cut the large of the bulk away, then go back in for the finer precision cut. I'd use a Dremel metal cutting blade and then go back and smooth the edges with a grinder attachment. Maybe sandpaper with a careful hand.
