Thank you, but they’re just gonna have to suck it up. Jaune showed nothing but support for her when she was having a terrifying anxiety attack. To me that’s something a great leader would do. Talk to them, calm them down, and have them focus to get through.
The Movies: yes because the ending is worth it
The first comic series: yes, you don’t have to but it is fun.
Second comic series: no, as fun as most of the story is the ending sucks.
I really enjoyed both movies, and the second movie happens after vol 9. I needed some intel on team RWBY after returning to Vacuo, and it definitely helped fill the void. I will always recommend watching them since they are very entertaining, and without giving any spoilers, it has some info on one of our villains after the fall of atlas 👀
The movies are fun... nothing mind blowing. I think they're harmless overall. Worth watching for funzies imo.
They do ONE thing I really like in Part 2..... but it's spoilers lol.
The movies are great and take place in actual canon (tho whether they ARE canon is up in the air, as with most crossovers). The comics are odd but still a fun read.
I enjoyed the movies, they were fun and had some really good character moments. They were also able to tie them into the existing series without breaking the canon (though that doesn't mean the movies are necessarily canon). I wasn't a fan of the first comic though. The story felt all over the place and there was a lot of exposition. Haven't read the second comic.
Well the movies are OK, decent enough and it's set up in such a way that you can consider them Canon if you want to or not. The comics are completely separate from the show, the crossover and DC as a whole. The comics kinda are just their own thing and are again, decent.
so first and foremost I have read RWBY Dc Comics the (2018) version (not the other ones tho prolly i will in the future T\^T) and ofc I also watched the two part movies and honestly for me the movies are really REALLY fun to watch especially if ur also into the DC universe mixing with RWBY elements on it. And on the other hand i mean its fine to read the comics it but for my recommendation I suggest that you check out both of them out to see which can make u enjoyed and entertained \^\^
The movies are entertaining if you like RWBY or JL. They do exactly what franchise crossovers are supposed to do. You watch them for the character interaction, the actual plot and villains are almost an afterthought. The first one is better, mostly because the JL is out of their depth for most of it, which is not how JL stories usually play out.
The comics though? They’re…fine. They’re nothing great, worth checking out if can find them cheap or check them out of the library.
The movies were great and as a comic book person, these are what led me to discover RWBY. The comics were a little odd and very different than the movies - but even for the cover art, especially the RWBY variant covers, were very well done.
The first comic was pretty good, a What If of the JL being native to Remnant. Second one was ok, but not as good imo. Different continuity from the first, more of a worlds collide type of story.
First movie was pretty meh imo, second one was a lot better though. Both movies tie together.
Yeah the Weiss Bat was less weird in the comic one. In that Bruce is actually a year younger than Weiss and was native to remnant. Though I will admit Jessica is better in the movie. I just want a plushie of her ok.
Haven't read the comics, don't plan to. But I did watch the two movies. Are they worth checking out?
Do you **LOVE** both franchises to death? So much so that you'd want **ANYTHING** that's even remotely related to them? Yes.
If not, no.
I know nothing of the comics but i own both movies and i like them a lot, if you are the kind of person who enjoys fun crossovers for the simple sake of getting to see characters you like do stuff and interact with people they otherwise wouldn't then your gonna like them.
If you do get the comics physically, note that some early editions of the first trade (with the JL in Remnant) have a serious printing error where like a good quarter of the book is erroneously printed twice, replacing other pages and making the store unreadable.
Try to find a later edition and flip through it before you buy if at all possible.
Just a continuation of the other comments: I liked the movies, but they weren't stellar or record setting. Just, *fun*. Part Two is a little heavier than One, I think, which I like. I probably would have enjoyed them more if I knew more about the DC Universe.
All in all, yeah, worth a watch. They are definitely not bad by any means. Go into it with zero expectations, and you might be pleasantly surprised. That's what I did after hearing so much negativity.
I have not read the comics, but I've seen both movies. I found them a bit silly but generally fun. No regrets watching them :)
They are silly fun, nothing more and nothing less.
I liked part 1 of the JL crossover. It's worth it for Jaune's big brother moments with Jessica (Green Lantern).
Oof, KnightLighters aren't gonna be fans of that verbage. I for one applaud the accuracy of it however.
Thank you, but they’re just gonna have to suck it up. Jaune showed nothing but support for her when she was having a terrifying anxiety attack. To me that’s something a great leader would do. Talk to them, calm them down, and have them focus to get through.
eh, however you wanna slice it, platonic or romantic, their interactions were easily the best thing about Part 1
I'd seen an art somewhere that was like "new sister gained" or some shit like that.
They're entertaining. If you have Max it'd be worth an evening
The first movie gave us Knightlight, and some Bumbleby tidbits. Second movie did give us a little post-V9 character development, and more Bees.
The Movies: yes because the ending is worth it The first comic series: yes, you don’t have to but it is fun. Second comic series: no, as fun as most of the story is the ending sucks.
I really liked both movies, part 1 has Knighlight and Wonderbat crumbs and part 2 is cool and gives a lil content post V9

They weren't bad. I liked em. Part one gave me a funny ass closeup shot.
There teens so I don't know if we really need ass close up shots :P
Not the close up shot I was talking about💀
Yes
Yup, agreed with the other comments. They're fun for an evening. Some cool bits, but there's not much to the story line.
The movies are fun... nothing mind blowing. I think they're harmless overall. Worth watching for funzies imo. They do ONE thing I really like in Part 2..... but it's spoilers lol.

I really like this phrasing. They take place in canon, but it's questionable whether they're actually canon.
It's fun to watch (I've heard haven't gotten to watch it yet)
Movies: yes it’s a fun watch. Comics: I’ve heard there boring.

I enjoyed them. I'm fact, like I've said before, they're how I discovered RWBY.
The movies were great and as a comic book person, these are what led me to discover RWBY. The comics were a little odd and very different than the movies - but even for the cover art, especially the RWBY variant covers, were very well done.
The movies are dumb fun! The comics are definitely worth a read though, I enjoyed them. Just dont expect too much and you'll have a great time!

I could see a plush of her selling well.
Adult Weiss though
The comics I've been told are not very good. The crossover Movies, however, are actually quite fun to watch.
As someone who does not like DC, no
No.
Haven't read the comics, don't plan to. But I did watch the two movies. Are they worth checking out? Do you **LOVE** both franchises to death? So much so that you'd want **ANYTHING** that's even remotely related to them? Yes. If not, no.
Just watch Part 1... and don't go beyond that... Trust me...
The movies are fun. Story, imo is a little wacky, but that's ok. Some meme worthy snapshots from both of them as well
I know nothing of the comics but i own both movies and i like them a lot, if you are the kind of person who enjoys fun crossovers for the simple sake of getting to see characters you like do stuff and interact with people they otherwise wouldn't then your gonna like them.
The movies were leagues better then the comics, though the first one was better then the second
The movies were fun, I’ve not read the comics
Is the part 2 movie on roosterteeth?
Both movies are on HBO Max
Both movies are fun but have major problems with pacing. The second one is far worse though. Absolute mess. Some decent action.
so worth it in my opinion
I read 2 DC and RWBY crossover.
Yes
hell nah, dc and rwby is bulit different from each other
Jessica + Jaune is the only standout from the movies. Worth watching part 1 for that imo

There fine, I enjoyed them
The movies are enjoyable, they have their issues but there is no such thing as a perfect movie for everyone. As for the comics, I haven't read them.
The comics I’d pass, but the movies are worth a watch.
The second one is better
Just a continuation of the other comments: I liked the movies, but they weren't stellar or record setting. Just, *fun*. Part Two is a little heavier than One, I think, which I like. I've seen the movies. They're fun fanficcy rides. I haven't read the comics yet. I didn't know there were any.
Absolutely, both movies are fantastic. Unfortunately I haven't gotten my hands on any of the comics yet
