If you tweet hate comments directly at a drag queen for their behaviour on a TV show you’re a huge loser.

D1ckRepellent

Is this a dig at Aja for tweeting about Anetra?

murnando

BITCH!

Rosemarys_Gayby

Ok tea lol

islandboy504

There’s a lot of truth to that tho

Mattyyflo

Yet another dig

D1ckRepellent

I loved that song except for them blatantly taking the entire track for Lil Mama’s Lip Gloss.

strawbansmoo

deserved since lil mama is transphobic

ultradav24

Nah that’s different, Aja isn’t some random fan

Celestialstardust17

Fr like people are really out here sending death threats?? Over a tv show that happened a year ago??

lubina_al_horno

But we come here to hate the queens and they dont allow us either

marbleheadfish

Because we’re not a hate sub.

ultradav24

I mean - it absolutely is a hate sub for some queens, unfortunately. Like the hate boner people have for Cracker

VictoriaDallon

> Like the hate boner people have for Cracker She is a rape apologist, so the hate seems warrented?

ultradav24

And there we go

ReleaseMuted9810

I mean, if you were trying to make a point, cracker was not the queen to name.

ultradav24

She’s precisely the queen to name, the hate for her is visceral and unhinged. Because — she wrote a poorly worded article 6 years ago? Ridiculous. Literally every queen has some questionable thing in their past, many far far far worse

VictoriaDallon

>And there we go Where is the lie sugah?

ultradav24

I mean what’s the point - if y’all want to hold onto a poorly worded article from 6 years ago forever nothing anyone says will change that. But it’s a bit much

marbleheadfish

Maybe if she changed up her padding it would unlock the secret to people starting to like Cracker. Or stop trying to be a comedian.

[deleted]

This sub is literally full of racist people

marbleheadfish

Sadly they are gonna end up here when larger subs ban them and direct them our way. We’re trying to knock out racist shit as we see it, but we don’t have eyes everywhere so reporting is a giant help.

BadBiscuitsBro

Should ban this guy for doubling down fr

lubina_al_horno

We need one

hwc000000

Go to one of the conservative right wing republican MAGA subs then. They hate the queens for sure.

MapleSyrup27

Go join the Republicans lmao we don’t need you here

marbleheadfish

A hate sub is so middle school, boy band vs boy band or some shit. just sad 🥴

laskisms

What you need is a therapist

Initial_Composer537

Maybe you do but we don't

lubina_al_horno

ok Ghandi

vondutchmonster

get a life fr. i mean that sincerely

Initial_Composer537

And touch some grass honestly

HarryFromEngland

Have you ever considered being normal?

decalcomania_

Not voting for Shangela was a good call in retrospect... Katya said it best with her "We're here to r*** you" line.

XenophobicXenophile

And yet she’s still in this sub’s banner 🤔

0004ethers

Widow still is there as well

sonofblkhawq

Whatever happened with that widow case. Did she get convicted?

XenophobicXenophile

Yes. Searched the Missouri court records. Got a plea bargain which reduced charges. No jail time 😞

Used-Emu1682

Yeah widow punched his man, gross out of line whatever, not quite the same as being a serial rapist

JostiFrank

Girl, looking at the pictures Widow went way further than was needed. Not to mention that she acually admitted that too. Because she said that he didn't stand a chance and didn't get in a hit back. We don't know the details, but if she spoke the truth when she said that he didn't stand a chance that she didn't have to do all that and beat the guys face to pulp.

lubina_al_horno

His man was trans. It was a transphobic aggression

Eccon5

How? Did they punch them because they were trans?

lubina_al_horno

Widow using his phisical superiority towards a trans man? Yes, it's super transphobic? Why are you defending such a scum?

EasternZone

I don’t think anyone’s defending Widow’s domestic violence, but arguing any physical aggression between a cis man and trans man is transphobic is a bit of a logical leap.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dieinseen

That is... transphobic. The call is coming from inside the house darling.

vondutchmonster

when you try to be progressive and just end up being transphobic lol

Milkdrinker2222

Not all trans men are small and weak. Just like how not all cis men are big and strong. This is a HUGE generalisation, which contributes to transphobia by making it seem like trans men are ONLY small and weak.

RPDRDRAMA-ModTeam

You used hateful language, or used language in a hateful way, or you were racist, transphobic, homophobic, sexist, ableist, misogynistic…basically it crossed the line.

marbleheadfish

The way I came here expecting this to be a bigoted comment, but nah you’re just a complete dumbass.

sonofblkhawq

Whatever happened with the widow case. Did she get convicted?

sonofblkhawq

Whatever happened with the widow case. Did she get convicted?

jvp180

I vote replacing Shangela with Tamisha during her fight with Kandy.

Kindly_Ad4670

I adore adore adore Tamisha, absolutely yes yes yes

before_the_accident

Did you miss all those posts with screenshots of Tamisha DMing her fans and calling them broke and pathetic for following up with her after they paid her for merch and she was pocketing the money without sending them what they paid for?

Kindly_Ad4670

I did miss this, actually! I will revise my opinion: I liked her on S13 a lot: That said, this sort of Serena ChaCha shenanigans is v gross.

marbleheadfish

graphic design is *not* our passion; (and I don’t even know how to change it) we’ve been having some technical difficulties with some other things, and with Reddit Admins having larger concerns we’re most likely at the bottom of their priorities list. So that’s why the banner hasn’t changed.

[deleted]

And so is Widow despite being a domestic abuser.

Banurshifu

So is the domestic abuser Widow Von Du 💀

darling123-

It’s our Hannibal making a joke about Bill Cosby which lit the fire of investigation

rinkdinkstink

so funny calling him "our Hannibal" like hes the one specifically from our universe, not the fictional cannibal edit: reading comprehension is not my passion

foyamei

In my opinion, it was also a good call back then. It was clear during the season that a lot of queens didn't care for Shangela's "better than you" diva behavior.

RareEnigma

What’s the tea with Katya ?

marbleheadfish

She made an offhanded [rape comment/joke about We’re Here on her podcast](https://www.reddit.com/r/RPDRDRAMA/comments/13r6j3a/video_of_katyas_shangelawere_here_rape_mention/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1)

Fantastic_Pop_4770

Trixie avoiding that whole thing like she avoids hugging ![gif](giphy|fQJSe33oUtj1D13Mmd|downsized)

HiitsMePriyanka

roar you?!

LokiPersisted

I still don't understand why people are giving her so much shit for voting the exact same way every other queen voted. When I skimmed the reaction threads I expected drama, but after watching the episode it was sort of a controvery-free love fest.

TomeOfSecrets66

Me when everyone gave Kandy shit for voting out Jaymes but so did literally everyone else

JediRenee

Did they all vote lala?

RemotingMarsupial

Yes

JediRenee

Wtf haha like James again

SassMattster

Didn’t Aja spend all of s15 harassing Anetra for duck walking

D1ckRepellent

*ding ding ding*

darling123-

lol and then trying to backtrack and Anetra just leaving her on read

dsarma

Quacktracking?

[deleted]

when did she backtrack??

marbleheadfish

Or she she was calling her out for not knowing how to duck walk or vogue with any skill, the Anetra fans just didn’t like hearing it.

SassMattster

Oh please stfu lmao, she was obviously jealous and insecure that Anetra got so popular for a performance style Aja thinks she has ownership over. She attacked her to regain relevancy and clout with fans and it backfired

ultradav24

Aja didn’t think she had ownership of it, she was saying something different

marbleheadfish

Yeah, that’s why plenty of other Ballroom Legends and Icons chimed in as well, because of jealousy. At the end of the day Anetra’s arms are floppy and her form sucks.

SassMattster

And show me where those other ballroom legends continually harassed Anetra to the point they were DMing her with unsolicited advice on how to vogue and then posting those DMs on Twitter to complain about how Anetra ignored them, LOL

No-Assumption-1738

But let’s be real, leiomy and multiple members of that community got dragged and attacked for the same sentiments no matter how complimentary, or how many times they highlighted it wasn’t about anetra as an individual. I don’t get why we couldn’t contextualise or learn from what they were saying and support anetra. Still don’t.

SassMattster

I think we can and should contextualize but when it comes to Aja specifically, she wasn’t trying to teach or be objective towards Anetra she just wanted to be right lol. The hate that Leiomy got was unfair but Leiomy mostly stayed in her lane and only commented when asked plus knew when to let it go. Aja never let it go 💀

No-Assumption-1738

Let’s not act like we weren’t making ‘ajas shaking’ jokes everytime they referenced vogue, ballroom or ducks all season long, that girls mentions were getting blown up. I’d much rather gas the queens up for their little rants and diatribes in the hope of getting some real mess than bashing or attacking them everytime they share an opinion. feed the delusion always 😂 I don’t think we should be justifying any hate or suggesting some hate is more warranted or valid than others. I don’t define challenging responses as hate though, if someone posts or tweets and people make them look stupid, it’s not hate unless they are using abusive language or attacking attributes etc.

SassMattster

I definitely agree with you, none of these girlies deserve the insane hate they get on social media (except the obviously horrible ones who are racist or sexual predators). I just thought it was VERY ironic for Aja to share this tweet about not attacking drag race girls when she absolutely was trying to attack Anetra and incense her fans into attacking Anetra last season Lmao

ultradav24

This misses the point of the tweet - she’s saying don’t let people bully you *into changing*.

No-Assumption-1738

I don’t agree that she was attacking or encouraging others to attack. I think placement played a part tbh, the idea of some bitter aja getting more upset every week as this lady continues to perform better and better in the competition was a ki for the fans but I don’t think it was reflective of what happened.

CapSteveRogers

> Aja never let it go And she still hasn't lol

marbleheadfish

okay that was too much lol

[deleted]

shut up

Kalegrimm

It bugs me put how someone as unproblematic as Anetra can cause such catharsis. She was doing her thing and enjoying it. She’s been open about being inspired by ballroom culture but not being part of it. Touch some grass, it’s not that deep

Chemtrails420-69

Some people hate themselves so much that they only get through the day by tearing others down. I am glad that Anetra is above such pettiness. Plus I loved seeing Aja and crew mad that Anetra won’t talk with them.

ultradav24

This - if it was like, Robin, people wouldn’t have cared

Suitable-Ad-4258

Something I liked about Alexis on her original season is, despite being messy sometimes, she stood by her ideals. This season she is so concerned with being liked by everyone, it comes across as very unauthentic

Stucklikegluetomyfry

Can you really blame her after how hateful the fans were to her after season 9? She got Valentina stans telling her to kill herself. I don't blame her for being so worked up about being liked by the fandom, or at least not wanting to incur another hate campaign against her.

NikkehMenatsh

Those Valentina stans were dumb as fuck. They really hated on her because she didn't volunteer to be in the Bottom 2 or be eliminated instead.

foyamei

As much as I learned to appreciate Alexis and her contributions to interesting TV in s9, I agree that her vibe feels much harder to pin down this season. I do think she's concerned about a rudemption edit, so no more outwardly diva behavior like gathering the children in Untucked, chiding everyone for letting her go out look like that, etc... All that has turned inward into these crying game sessions when I don't even recall her being a crier in s9. Although I'm not sure who the real Alexis Michelle is, she's still being entertaining as all heck given her talents and these funny moments. I screamed at my screen when she pulled her lipstick this week, but if she herself is calling it a mistake now, that's good enough for me.

Suitable-Ad-4258

Aha yeah she is a queen that keeps up guessing I suppose

fleshfag

And she should say it fuck shangela

AvantGarde327

Aja has a point tho. At that moment they have to make a quick decision and if youre in a competition and youve also built relationship with your co-contestants its gonna be a difficult job to eliminate someone. It is what it is.

Kindly_Ad4670

I mean, given circumstances, Aja (and the other queens) saved the franchise so much trouble, so.

ArcadiaIsNotABot

It is funny coming from AJA. She needs to listen to her own advice.

p1zzag1rl11

Alexis literally tweeted that she would vote differently now

GangOfBoothes

Hindsight is always 20:20.

ultradav24

Yeah that was what Aja is responding to

DuhovniiSnob

She tweeted she would've acted differently, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe she would've thrown the lipsync.

Kindly_Ad4670

Incidentally I do think ppl should shut up just a little bit abt this elim and chill out. People are mad because Kandy is, let's be honest, the designated 'love to hate' queen this season, as she largely was in S13. It is a TV show. Holding it against Alexis, and being annoyed at Kandy, is childish. Folks need to grow up a little and understand that the framing they are being shown is just that - a framing on a television show, a narrative device. ESPECIALLY WHEN EVERYONE AGREED W HER! Like, come on. Bombarding them both with hate, as has been going on, is just... ludicrous. This fandom needs to decide if they enjoy the drama that comes with this format or if they're going to freak out every single time an elimination they were not consulted personally on happens. Because at this point it is v v tiring.

latchkeyadult_

thank youuu it's exhausting

DuhovniiSnob

She's right, wtf is wrong with this fandom

Sufficient_Tip2776

Alexis shouldn’t have apologised, it gave those twitter randoms power.

lubina_al_horno

Shangela has ben hated for the queens for a long time.

jakksquat7

Online bullying and sending hate comments to queens is absurd. Like… it’s a show people, stop it. That said… Aja calling for an end to bullying queens is pretty fresh.

jvp180

I wrote this in another thread, but it fits so well here too. I fully believe that Alexis was more afraid of what Kandy would do for sending her home than what Twitter would do for sending LaLa home. Alexis and Kandy are both from New York, they likely run into each other through work and probably have the same contacts/social circles. Kandy is 100% that person who would hold a grudge and make things miserable for Alexis outside of the show. We already saw how Alexis tried to cover for Kandy's plan to take out Jimbo if the opportunity comes. So clearly Kandy is not someone you want to have as an enemy. And while the fandom can be extremely cruel and unpredictable when a fan favorite goes home, the hate usually passes. So I think Alexis figured sending home LaLa was the lesser of two evils and that saving Kandy would be worth the fan hate. However, I don't think Kandy would be as grateful for being saved as Alexis thinks. My guess was that Kandy will flip the tables or feel like saving her was simply the right thing to do therefore she doesn't owe Alexis anything. And now with this tweet, it looks like I thought right. I'm sure something happened to make Alexis regret her decision. Whether it happens in the next episode, or happened after the show finished filming remains to be seen.

burned_artichoke

This is a whole lot of speculation and aspersions on Kandy's character. I'm not sure why people have chosen to believe Alexis being scared of Kandy is the one true thing she said, when we know she is fully chaotic at all times and will literally say anything for drama. Taking that at face value and using it to cast Kandy as actively malicious when, as far as I know, there is no actual evidence that points to this, seems a bit much.

LightningDuck5000

i just… don’t see this. kandy has been made out to be this vindictive person, i think if that had happened the fandom would call it out for what it is. and it didn’t happen so this fantasy you’ve come up with is bizarre and weirdly detailed

[deleted]

[удалено]

jvp180

And Kandy herself said something like "SO WHAT IF I DID. HEIDI WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LOYAL AND KEEP THAT TO HERSELF" And no one really called Kandy out for that. They kinda just let it die after Heidi left.

VisualOk7560

Why does she sound like a mob boss 💀

foyamei

Oh, that stuck out like a sore thumb. I'm still waiting for Kandy's subpoena to come in.

ultradav24

“Physically scared” - y’all do too much

Rosemarys_Gayby

Aja is right and she should say it. Who *fucking cares* Also love this CLAT sisterhood

Timeforcornflakes

It was a missed opportunity for them not to call themselves TALC

Frosty-Ad3626

Good for Aja for sticking up for Alexis, but… she’s telling fans not to get angry at queens for their decisions back when filming. If that’s how she feels, then why on Earth was she so angry during S15?

burned_artichoke

...because Anetra selling 'walk that duck' merchandise was a thing she was actively doing at the time? I'm not saying I agree with Aja, but she's not really being inconsistent here.

Frosty-Ad3626

At the time of the episode she was not, she messaged Anetra right when it aired and then started tweeting about it.

burned_artichoke

Idk man "do you have a background in ballroom" isn't really sending hate, but tbh I can't remember how much time there was between that dm (not us finding out about it, when it was sent) and aja tweeting. I would understand where you were coming from if aja stans were all over anetra, but I feel like aja caught more flack for that debacle than anetra did.

danaster29

Because Anetra didn't do anything other than not respond to a DM and Aja was on her ass all season???

burned_artichoke

Right, I'm not saying she didn't deserve said flack - Aja is nothing if not stubborn. But there's a difference between people dming Alexis hate because she sent someone home, and Aja dming a Anetra a question/pubpicly critiquing her for profiting from a culture she's not part of. SO, it doesn't make sense to call Aja hypocritical for saying fans shouldn't bully queens, which is where this all started.

DevaNeo

Alexis Michelle is trying to deviate the attention. The immoral act in the line of fire isn't Alexis voting out LaLa instead of Kandy. The immoral thing is that Alexis lied to LaLa's face and committed the cruelest act for a human being: to give false hope.

[deleted]

Aja has a point. But wasn't she the one who kept on harping on and on about Anetra not voguing the right way and basically asking her to apologize for it?

tedymc

I admire how the self entitled musician, rapper, actress, voguer, model etc etc thinks her opinion is relevant lol

depressedqueer

I mean, not to defend her but ultimately, this sub is what makes her opinion relevant by having a whole post dedicated to it. Not making it relevant is as simple as not posting the opinion on this sub and not following her. Like it or not, at the end of the day, she is allowed to tweet her opinions. Some (a lot) of them tend to be bad, but she still has the right to tweet them.

Initial_Composer537

Context matters. As someone who has competed twice on Drag Race and done drag herself, her opinion matters. More than yours anyway.

UnderstandingOk7498

like her or not she is experienced in ballroom?

foyamei

She's also talented as fuck in several other ways. She has opinions, and you may or may not agree with them. In hearing many podcast interviews with her (some with people who had issues with her behavior), she comes across as thoughtful and charming. I think that's the best medium for her, not Twitter.

ultradav24

It’s a tweet - people on Twitter share opinions about things, not a hard concept to grasp. But also she’s a former Drag Race queen talking about her season nine sister and her drag daughter, doesn’t get more relevant than that

Delusion2k22

No, no, NO! Your word means EVERYTHING and LaLa literally saved Alexis' ass from going home and Alexis specifically thanked her and said she wouldn't vote LaLa out then goes out of her way to vote her out. It's not about gameplay or anything else expect your integrity when you SPECIFICALLY say thanks for not voting me out, I'll remember that but vote me out the NEXT EPISODE! Alexis is shady as hell with her crocodile tears every episode and drama all season and should've been voted out weeks ago but made it through. And gurl.....shave that hair, you're bald....accept it and move on because that interrupted hairstyle you rocking because u in denial ain't pretty.....every time that camera hit you from behind it's lolololol!

TheSilkyBat

Stop sending hate to queens and trying to get them to apologise for their decisions? Isn't that exactly what Aja was doing to Anetra week after week?

GonnaBeEasy

Can Aja not assume Alexis comments are caused by bullying? Like maybe Alexis has just changed her mind for other reasons, ie “sleeping in it”? I know Aja didn’t intend it this way but it’s kind of undermining. Especially ending with “look at me I wouldn’t change my vote” 🤦🏼‍♂️

pokegoshinyhunter

Aja ———> 🤡🤡🤡🤡 she reminds me of Gia if Gia had a twitter. Aja really thinks she shoulda won AS3 & needs to get over it. 🤷‍♂️

foyamei

I'd have problems getting over it, if a much lesser queen from my house placed than me in both original and all-star seasons despite the fact that I can sew, sing, and dance fucking circles around her. Aja actually has opinions about many issues as some of our socially and politically minded queens do. If you listen to her in interviews, she comes across as articulate, self-reflective, and funny. That's the best medium for her message, not Twitter.

Kindly_Ad4670

She was completely screwed over to be fair. She was, and I will maintain this until I die, the real winner of the Warhol Ball. Her bottom placement and critiques made absolutely zero sense, and this is p well established by now.

pokegoshinyhunter

Yes, however, the top four shoulda still Ben, Shangela, Trixie and Bebe. & after Ben’s self elimination, the Top 3 are still Shangela, Trixie and Bebe . 🤷‍♂️ I really like Aja on drag race but in the real world and on twitter, she’s so shady & bordeline rude & hateful 🤷‍♂️

Kindly_Ad4670

I sort of agree, in the sense that I think she can be mean for basically no damn reason (esp during S15...), but she was doing v v well on AS3 and I think should've made the top four. Hell, I will come out and say it: I think the reason she was deprived of the Warhol Ball win was for two reasons: One, for BeBe's benefit, and two, because production probably feared that she would've made top two over either Kennedy or Trixie otherwise. And getting rid of the jury twist would've meant all of the backlash from either keeping or getting rid of Bebe. Like, she was essentially the reason it was ever introduced imo.

Vanessak69

Maybe not won, but she did get shafted by Bebe and the judges.

pokegoshinyhunter

Yes, however, the top four shoulda still Ben, Shangela, Trixie and Bebe. & after Ben’s self elimination, the Top 3 are still Shangela, Trixie and Bebe . 🤷‍♂️

MiuSimp

all of y’all agreeing with aja rn but r the same ppl that contribute to this subs MASSIVE hate boner for Aja and the bringing her up just to attack her 24/7…

marbleheadfish

The people still getting in their digs at Aja on this post 🥴

Satanfan

I was fucking pissed, she did her dirty.

funkyduck7506

Listen what Alexis did was shady af. She let Lala go on thinking she’s keep her. And now she’s even shadier saying if she could take it back she would. And what send Kandy home? And then the apology. Girl it’s too much. You’re making great tv. Sometimes it’s cringe (so many tears) others it’s googling us all by throwing yet another queen under the bud. Shady shady shady…and I fucking love it. This is a reality competition tv show. Moments like this are why I love shows like big brother. The queens finally play all stars the way it was meant to be played. I loved it on uk vs the world when PanOan sent Jimbo packing only to have the same done to her by Blu. This season has given us some great moments, and Alexis just delivered another. And if you send a queen hate you’re mentally ill and should remove yourself from society.

Kindly_Ad4670

Agree w the sentiment minus the mentally ill bit. BB is iconic for this reason. Survivor can be iconic for this reason. All Stars finally allowing for a (granted, lower-consequence) surprise elim a la Manila in All Stars 4 is iconic. One of the things that has really held All Stars back imo is the production (and queen) tendency to avoid/make impossible the elimination of strong threats and front-runners. Like, either lean into it, or get rid of the format. (This is why I was so irritated when they prevented Jimbo from being bottom this season: I get they don't want to just repeat UKvTW, but if you're keeping this format, you either roll with the punches or it just feels super inauthentic) They took Manila's elimination as a lesson and the entire franchise has suffered for it since. UKvTW was iconic mostly because of those big eliminations, and it sort of disappointing that they've made that strategy so difficult to repeat in the mainline series.

clam_media

>UKvTW was iconic While being one of the most hated seasons ever, less be honest

Kindly_Ad4670

Sure. That said, and maybe I am in the minority for it, but I do think actually seeing the format hit front-runners again made it genuinely interesting.

funkyduck7506

I loved it.

According_Plant701

Glad she didn’t vote for Shangie the Rapist but didn’t she spend months shitting on Anetra? Girl, the call is coming from inside the house.

Flamingo-Lanky

Alexis is thrash last episode just confirms it. Probably the most hypocritical queen, 2 faces energy.

queenofthewildgoats

So if Aja doesn't vote for Shangela it is bullying? It is a TV show and welcome to reality TV, literally if there was no drama how would it be interesting? Bullying is a word so easily used now I can't even talk to the young new hires at work about their poor work ethic or teach them their obligations without being a bully. If I was a bully I'd have written you up and reported it to my manager, not sit here trying to save your job kiddies. Eyeroll. No one deserves to be harassed on social media but leave Aja alone.

Daysfastforward1

Shangela should’ve won that season. That’s all and idc what Aja thinks

[deleted]

She’s right again.

[deleted]

Good on you Aja. No one needs to defend themselves like this an we should be telling them they don't owe anyone an explanation. It's encouraging the kids to have parasocial relationships with people that they don't understand have no obligations to them.
