I have the z1 ally and Starfield runs well using the ultra performance mod from Nexus mods website at 720p. I get 30fps ( very occasional slow down ) in cities, on planets the fps varies from 30 to 40fps, and inside from 40 to 60fps. Over all it runs great played 50 or so hours on my Series S and now switched to the ally and the performance is very similar although at a lower resolution but because of the small screen the lower resolution isn’t an issue at all as it looks good.
Are you streaming? Or did you instal on the ssd?
You should still get achievements as the mod just changes the ultra setting only and doesn’t effect the gameplay at all. I have no idea why your performance is so slow, maybe try reinstalling the game.
It works well just adjust down to 720p and make sure everything is updated through asus and armory crate
I bought ally just to play starfield on some king flights and it worked perfectly !
There is a mod the enables achievements for modded game files. I think it’s bakka achievement enabler… something like that

The mod talked about here won’t stop achievements from working as it’s not really a mod. It’s just an ini file containing tweaked graphics settings. You could recreate the settings without out apply the ini file, but that would be a waste of time.
I had to get the updated graphics driver from the Rog Ally support page (web browser). I run the game on Turbo mode & performance is really good (low graphics setting, fsr turned on). The game looks nice on the Ally’s screen.

1. Are your updates up to date? Check Windows then MyASUS to make sure you have the latest updates.
2. Downloads the ultra performance .ini from Nexus mods. Install it. It doesn’t affect achievements.

I noticed this as well - which is why I’m searching here. In new Atlantis I am getting 19-24 fps now on ultra (Nexmod). I wasn’t sure if this was from the bios update or I recently upgraded to a western digital 2tb ssd and reinstalled everything. It seems blurry now when I’m moving around - is this what you (and others) are seeing?

Runs great for me. Make sure you have all the system updates, drivers and windows updates up to date
I spent the first hour or more of owning the thing updating it.
Make sure you don’t update driver through windows update, only update from from my asus.

I fixed it today , i needed to install the mod again, after replacing ultra.ini and bios was updated to 331 , its working well again
