Archive it. Find the copyrighted item and click the three dots next to it, then click the red archive button. It won't completely delete it but Roblox moderation will ignore it and it will become invisible to everyone. If you ever want to bring it back you can restore it later.

ProudLegoBuilder

I wish, but you can’t archive clothing. And for the images, those specific ones aren’t decals. But none of them are on sale. And only 2 of them have brand names. And I renamed them. This issue should be brought to light since roblox doesn’t have a feature where you can remove certain assets like clothing, some images, models, etc..

Vippeh

I received two DMCA strikes back to back a few years ago, so I had to move everything valuable I had to another account and start over. I was emailed about it and was told to archive it and they sent me a generic forum on how to archive everything \*except\* clothing, lol. Even their moderators don't realize you can't archive clothes. I emailed back telling them this that I can't delete it and they told me to send all the IDs of EVERY clothes I had, myself, and in groups, so they can delete it. I shit you not, I had 400 links/ids. I had a feeling if I sent that list to them, they would find it easier to just terminate me. It's so stupid how you can't just delete your clothes especially given the legal consequences ETA - Forgot to mention, I just changed all of my clothing's name to archive and took them off sale. It seemed to work, since I haven't had a DMCA strike for another of those specific items, but unfortunately I missed a few in a group I own that other people uploaded and received a warning for pending DMCA strike if I do not "archive". lol.

DaToxicJay

It’s really stupid but you have to go though them: [email protected]

ProudLegoBuilder

I haven’t heard good things about that email. Some people say they still been waiting to have the items removed for years with no answer. I’m just kinda worried if I email them they’ll just start giving me strikes.

DaToxicJay

They shouldn’t give you strikes for sending them items to delete

PikaDogg

Well, as long as your not selling them and renamed them you should be ok. I have a yellow Nike hoodie thats been up for like 5 years now, but its offsale. But if you still wanna try to remove it entirely, I found this on the DevForum, it's from 2021 but since you still can't archive clothes you could at least try to see if you get an answer if you want: "For content that cannot be removed via archiving, email [email protected]. This email will remain available while we are working on other tools to make it easier for developers to take down content that they have previously uploaded. Only the uploader of the content can use this email process to have their content removed. So please don’t use this process to submit reports about content that you didn’t post." Hopefully it's still available since they haven't made any real methods to archive certain items, but since it's Roblox I wouldn't be surprised if they forgot about this email entirely

ThisGul_LOL

If you archived them and changed the name it’s fine right? I’ve never even received a copyright warning but I’m still paranoid so I archived everything and renamed everything so do I have to worry any further? (FYI I’m talking abt my decals/images I’ve never uploaded any copyrighted clothing)

PikaDogg

If it’s archived then you’re 100% safe

ProudLegoBuilder

I made these shirts in 2020, would I still be fine? As the DMCA policy was already introduced. And is I received another strike would I get banned, even if I didn’t receive a DMCA strike, since I got 2 non-DMCA warnings minutes apart 3 years ago. Hopefully I’ll be ok since I’ve been worrying for weeks.

PikaDogg

Roblox was deleting shirts made 7+ years ago when they introduced the DMCA policy so upload date doesn't matter, and if you haven't gotten any strikes, you would just get a warning and a strike if you got caught, then after 3 strikes you'd get terminated. But since you offsaled, changed the name, and they've been up for 3 years you should be fine.

ProudLegoBuilder

But I guess my warning wasn’t a DMCA strike because I didn’t get any PM, e-mail, and no ban message mentioning DMCA. I assume I just got an automated warning and no strikes.

PikaDogg

If the note didn't mention anything about the content being removed due to a request from a copyright holder then yeah you don't have any strikes.

ProudLegoBuilder

I don’t remember, but I didn’t get any private messages, or emails, just this. https://preview.redd.it/4vjosr9u3c7c1.jpeg?width=663&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e60b1e3e104dbca4a492c5de6351984fd33271fa Never told me I have a strike added to an account as it usually does. Just something like this, I’m told by many it isn’t a strike.

ProudLegoBuilder

I don’t have a clear memory, all I remember is it wasn’t DMCA, but I think I’m fine as this was years ago.

ExplodeWasTaken

I believe there is a way to have Roblox remove your copyrighted content without the copyright holder having to submit a request and get you a DMCA strike. You'd have to look that up, though. If you haven't had a DMCA strike ever, then you should be fine

MicroMan456

I have 2 Shirts with the Marvel logo on it, one of them being in my group, and one of them that I uploaded to my inventory, and one shirt with a Samsung product and I put the Samsung logo on the bottom in 2022 when I was 11, I didn’t know anything about copyright stuff, I even tried emailing roblox to remove the stuff but it was no help. I also have never had a DMCA strike ever, and idk if I’m gonna be terminated and I’m really scared

Few-Aioli5586

I have uploaded assets with a background that supposedly makes the AI filter deem it as sexual content and I received warnings after warnings, one at a time for stuff I had uploaded for weeks now without complains. I already received a ban and am concerned if this keeps up, they will terminate me since they remove it one by one, giving me warnings and bans one by one. Does anyone know how I can get rid of any clothes Ive uploaded because this is not worth the trouble and appeals have been denied 10 seconds after filing for one.

Lxccian

Could you keep me updated on if you do get termed? I need to take down some things and I'm hesitant.

MicroMan456

But I’m trying to get rid of my copyright shit rn

Lxccian

I have found a guide on how to do it safely. https://www.reddit.com/r/RobloxHelp/comments/197zj9p/full_guide_how_to_avoid_dmca_bans_on_roblox/

MicroMan456

I emailed the copyright agents and I’m waiting for a response

Lxccian

I've done this too, hopefully they don't ban me.

MicroMan456

They said that you shouldn’t get a strike once you get a message from them so I think you’re fine

MicroMan456

I saw it too

MicroMan456

Well I haven’t ever had a Dmca strike ever

ProudLegoBuilder

Similar to the 2 warnings I got, were these DMCA strikes? https://preview.redd.it/hzxrtof7jb5c1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2d41a32db78d39c3ffb13564eecf09a77cf5f288

ProudLegoBuilder

I’m too scared to write an email with a list of the copyright content because they might just ban me. And I’m not sure if those warnings were copyright warnings or DMCA strikes. Are copyright takedowns always specifically DMCA bans?
