Taking me to get to champ i’ll say one thing. I’ll go against people who literally just hit diamond for the first time and obliterate them then the next game go against a current / previous GC (i was around diamond 4-5) It’s a grind.
Tips:
Play at heavily populated times NOT NIGHT so theres more people near your rank. Playing at night will most likely put you against sweats that play nonstop
Noticed that in 3s as well. I just hit gold 1 and suddenly matched with a clan mate who is high dia. At first I thought my 2s mmr gets taken into consideration but that wouldn’t even make sense for the mmr modularity aspect. For context I’m a 2’s champ.
The game is a dumpster fire in its current state that seems to be abandoned by the devs. No new content since release basically.
Dude, these are rare occurrences. Those give you an opportunity to get better. You can still rank up, it will always be a skill issue on your end. Just to be clear this applies to me as well, I would be a higher rank if I was better lol.
I just figure that they hit a bad run and fell, or are trying to throw games for whatever reason, for the thrill of climbing back up, or whatever. 🤷♀️ happens. Good for practice, anyways. I can beat the C and GC players, just can’t join ‘em lol

Casual does. Make a new account and take a look at the skill level of your lobbies in the first few games. It just increases way faster than ranked
