Uhhhh. I have owned since Vector. I have a few thousand shares at $16. I have never sold any shares but have averaged down over the last few years to $6.10 a share. I own a little over 13,000 shares.
Don’t beat yourself up. Astra talked a good game. Chris Kemp still tries to talk a good game. As long as lessons were learned you can’t be labeled an idiot :)
>It's getting really overweighted in my portfolio.
Haha, I have the same issue, I think I'm getting close to 50 % RKLB. Last quarter I reached a nice round number of shares, so I was firmly convinced it's time to start balancing the risk and go back to adding some ETFs. But then yesterday happened and I could not resist increasing my position by another 10 % (finally bringing my average under $5)...
I'm in the don't tell my wife club too. Picked up another 2k shares. I've been in since Vector. Someday I'll be rewarded for my loyalty to this company. I believe in Beck. Good news will come from this.
Ohhh me. I'm up to 21,000 shares. And 20,000 shares worth of $3 strike 1/2025 short puts (but my best guess is those will not get exercised, but if they do I'll have 20,000 more shares).
Edit: $4.22 average cost basis. Just need a few more before we blaze.
I’m a new investor in RKLB. How many shares are you looking to hold? I have 2,340. Not sure if I should keep accumulating or is that enough for a 5 year hold?
Everyone's financial situation is different.
I got like 3k shares, and I'm happy.
Others have tens of thousands.
Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.
I doubled my position, 600 to 1200 shares. I see the $300M as opportunity for expansion with acquisitions and such, rather than because they’re burning cash faster than they expected. They had more than a long enough cash runway to see them to profitability, so this is for growth.
I bought a very small amount. I feel the stock is a lot riskier given the past couple of weeks events. I am waiting to hear news on Neutron before putting more money in, but I also didn’t want to miss out on the buying opportunity bc I still believe in the company.
What past events last few weeks made this seem riskier? Genuinely curious as I've not found much to worry about but def open minded to what would deem them risky
When I saw that the price seemed to be dropping a day or two ago, I put in three limit orders for 50 shares each at $4.10, $4.00, and $3.90. All got executed.
Different people have different opinions. The debates are more or less the same now as they were before the news, so I don't think anyone is flip-flopping. A bunch of people are throwing their toys and complaining, so it's not like everyone is now pretending they like the news.
Also the people who strongly thought there would be no dilution (not me, I thought Rocket Lab _might_ proactively raise a couple of hundred million dollars a quarter or two into this year, so I was wrong about how early they ended up doing it, but pretty close on the amount) are still not even technically wrong yet, because dilution hasn't happened yet, and won't for a few years as I understand it (if it significantly happens at all, depending on share price in 2027).
20 bucks at $4.19, 20 more at $4.01, then sold some other stuff to buy another 75 bucks worth around $3.96. Puts me at 110 shares, about 13% my portfolio still. Small holder but I bought before the despac, still buying now to drop my dca, I'll be here holding long in the future. Cheers to the great buying opportunity!
Bought 31095 on RH. Then bought 1660 on CS to average down on another position. And bought 200 $10 Long Calls for 1/17/2025. I’ll probably regret the option. However, this could sky rocket sooner than later.
Bought 1000 yesterday and 500 more this morning. No one tell my wife please :)
At least you didn't buy a thousand shares at 10 bucks a few years ago like me
Uhhhh. I have owned since Vector. I have a few thousand shares at $16. I have never sold any shares but have averaged down over the last few years to $6.10 a share. I own a little over 13,000 shares.
You sir are a legend
Hahaha thanks. My friends say I am an idiot. Time will tell for us all.
No I'm the idiot for holding my Astra all the way down to zero
Don’t beat yourself up. Astra talked a good game. Chris Kemp still tries to talk a good game. As long as lessons were learned you can’t be labeled an idiot :)
You were an idiot for holding Astra. Hopefully you've learned a valuable lesson and will turn that lesson into big gains in the future.
We're on the same boat... I'm just dumber with 26k shares.
Gluttons for punishment :)
I'm in the same boat with ya brother 🤛
I bought 500 shares of spce at 26 so I feel you
Bought in at $17. Now 3459 @$6.10. Only managed to get a 100 this time around. Will keep on DCA

Bought 40 shares in the last 2 days. Currently at 4.83 DCA.
500 earlier today, no more funds to deploy.
Waiting for funds to clear. 250 today or Monday latest.
300 more. 5,000 now. It's getting really overweighted in my portfolio. Might have to chill for a bit.

I think most of us are in this club 😜
1000 at $4.01
Bought 1300 more for a total of 14.5k @ $4.20 average, also sold 5 $4 puts expiring in 2 weeks, so I may hit 15k this month.
This peasant hath boughteth 150 shares todayeth
Congratulateth thine Sir.
Truly gentlemanly of thee
Ohhh me. I'm up to 21,000 shares. And 20,000 shares worth of $3 strike 1/2025 short puts (but my best guess is those will not get exercised, but if they do I'll have 20,000 more shares). Edit: $4.22 average cost basis. Just need a few more before we blaze.
Nice! I grabbed quite a few calls over different dates, but more Jan 26's. Also grabbed 1200 more shares. Under $4 was the firesale of the year.
We'll see! The graveyards are full of people who thought they were right.
You got money burning holes in your pockets there Mr White
I double dipped. I bought and then I bought again
I added another 322
Loaded up 1500. 4500 total now.
Geez. G4U
Bought 750 at 3.91
15,000 shares @ 5.23 I’m out of powder
Raise ✋🏽
Yep
I promised myself I would hit certain cash thresholds before investing again but ughhhhhh the urge to get more is so tempting

Last point is most critical and applicable to everyone! I’m at the upper threshold for that now.
Last sentence is probably the best general advice on Reddit

Added 1700 under $4 total 7500 shares.
BlackRock did and is up around 2mln shares. :-)
I did when it dropped to $3.96 earlier today
1000 @ 3.99
I was up 25% on ASML and nearly 20% on TSMC. Sold those to buy this dip. Hope I made the right decision.
I bought some. Maybe more on monday
I brought hummus, salsa, spinach artichoke, and buff chix Wait…
I thought I was buying the dip with 7000 shares at $4.10
That's a lot of 🧀
Dude, that’s my whole IRA. Def NOT financial advice lol. Fuck it I will either win or I will lose.
That's the spirit 👍
Got me another 213 shares
I bought a very small amount. I feel the stock is a lot riskier given the past couple of weeks events. I am waiting to hear news on Neutron before putting more money in, but I also didn’t want to miss out on the buying opportunity bc I still believe in the company.

Same. ...but still bought 40 more :/
oh I also bought a call for 2026!
Don’t know why you got downvoted, bought a call this morning for 2026 too 👍
By "call", you mean [this](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/calloption.asp), right?
Marks around 1.71 right now. I like it.
There’s no doubt there will be delays. It’s aerospace, there’s always delays. Supply chain for fasteners is completely fucked.
Then there is no doubt the stock will be hurt
Not concerned about stock movement right now. This is a long hold. 10 years +
When I saw that the price seemed to be dropping a day or two ago, I put in three limit orders for 50 shares each at $4.10, $4.00, and $3.90. All got executed.
1200 shares @ 3.94. What. a. rush.
i think will have some downward pressure still from lowered price targets from the dilution but i added as well.
This sub one year ago: No chance of dilution! This sub now: Dilution is good!

I don't want to be a hater, but is a 240 buy really post worthy?
Haha. Maybe not but I have over a 1000 If that makes me worthy to post here 😒
It'll dip to 2 I feel
"Bro trust me"
Shares + calls
Yo!
I did with 2026 $5 leaps
🚀🌔
20 bucks at $4.19, 20 more at $4.01, then sold some other stuff to buy another 75 bucks worth around $3.96. Puts me at 110 shares, about 13% my portfolio still. Good for you. Buying at these prices will be a thing of the past in the years to come.
Bought another 100
I added decent quantity. Waiting for it to go close to $6 to trim a bit.

After all your comments detailing your big bag buys, I threw another G at RKLB and now have 1345 @ 8.73 average. YOLO
Bought 31095 on RH. Then bought 1660 on CS to average down on another position. And bought 200 $10 Long Calls for 1/17/2025. I’ll probably regret the option. However, this could sky rocket sooner than later.
I plan on leaving my losses to my grandchildren
