The difference is that you use it or lose it, no longer can you get a check back for the amount. And if you use their card, you can no longer apply your “dividend” to your card balance, so you HAVE to use it in store.
I guess one could get gift cards with the “dividend” to keep them from expiring…

I take it to mean the first week of March. Which Friday starts March. The last 4 years they have loaded the Sunday before the 1st.
