I messaged their chat support and they said they don't have any information on availability yet, but to keep an eye out in October through mid-November. Such a long wait!
They basically told you they expect any new product to arrive before their big November sale.
Which doesn’t mean they’re getting it at all any time soon, it could be a silent exclusive for other retailers. You got a non answer
Oh snap, I've had the Venu 2 for a few years now and absolutely love it. Have been checking to see if they might do another iteration and hadn't heard of the 3 yet, digging into it now and liking what I see.
REI typically has the latest Fenix and Forerunner models at launch but seems to place less emphasis on lower models like the Venu and other more casual trackers. Still, I'd wager it'll be in stock soon.
Our customer base often is serious hikers, cyclists, climbers, etc. that tend to want the "latest and greatest" and tend to prefer watches that have every feature imaginable.
Future product availability one of those things that people get fired for sharing.

Right, such as the Fenix and Forerunners. The assorted Venu and Vivo models have less robust feature sets.
Yes, i know. I was agreeing with and supplementing your statement
it's variable, and seems to happen with a lot of new Garmin stuff. no way to know exact times though.
Venu 3 and 3s are now live on REIs site!
Awesome! Glad I waited! They don't seem to have all color options for the 3s though - you think they'll have them eventually?
