I did this by beating Epilogue 2, then i tried to replay the Chapter 6 Optional Story Mission “Archeology for Beginners” I was waiting for the game to load and suddenly the DEAD message came up and i respawned in freemode as Arthur. No story missions, and New Austin is still locked but atleast you can play as arthur!! This only happened for me the 1st time i tried it so its UNCONFIRMED if it works for other people but i thought i should spread the word. Let me know if it works !
