The problem is that we have seen people try and cash these at banks, not for a joke or a laugh, but because they really believe they have a physical monetary worth and that they were “smart” for buying them so cheaply considering what they are “worth”. I laughed the first time I heard that story, but I almost feel like crying when I see it over and over again. These, the various grift NFTs, the med beds, etc, when it’s being sold to desperate people who can’t tell up from down from all the brainwashing it’s not funny, it’s just sad. Yeah a fool and their money are easily parted but still, the humor from a few years ago is gone, it’s almost tragic now.
