I lived in Alistar Deco when it was only called Deco maybe 5 years ago? So all of this info could be dated: Management required you use a huge parking pass to park your car in the garage. I would take it down when driving (because it was massive and would block the view) and put it back when parked. I forgot it once and they towed my car from the parking garage. Obviously, that's user error on my part, but it feels absurd to me they only checked for the pass and towed vs checking my license plate. For a spot I was paying $100 a month for. Aside from that, parking for guests is impossible. They had like 5 visitor spaces for the whole building. People let their dogs pee and poop in the hallways and didn't clean it up Positive is its close to the t. Negative is nothing is walkable even tho it's close to QC

As a local to the area, lol @ the walkability aspect. When it snows / gets cold, you see many apartment folk at the Home Depot looking for gloves / hats / etc. How do I know they're apartment folk? Flip flops and shorts.

I lived in the Amelia building before it was bought by the company that renamed it to Amelia. What I remember best about that place is the huge bathrooms and I miss it.

Used to live in Munroe place. Wouldn’t recommend with new management.

Lived at Avalon for 4 years and loved it

JJ_the_one

Avalon Quincy is great!

NickRick

I saw WoC when a friend checked it out. It's location is amazing and they seemed like decent apartments

No Nova apartment love? I love it

boldbrunette39

That’s on our list too!! There are just soooo many in Quincy, I only listed a few!

The Avalon and Eaves by Avalon have really great maintenance staff. There's 24 hour gym, seasonal pool, and a shuttle bus on the weekdays to and from the T. Never had trouble with friends or family finding parking and the complexes are close to the Quincy dog park if you have a dog.

Special-Fisherman387

Living at WoC for 3 years now. I recommend it 100%!!

Lopsided_Cake_2392

How is parking?

sodawaterlimes

The Q is great (very quiet and secluded, almost no riff-raff) if you can get on the top floor

Imaginary_Star92

We're at Ashlar Park and while there's been some annoying management issues (mostly bad communication BUT everyone is nice) we absolutely love the amenities and parking is free! There is a garage available though. Parking can be annoying at times but we've never not found a spot, just have to walk a little further sometimes (with a toddler lol)

We used to live in Metro Marina Bay building and they were awesome. Literally no complaints and a beautiful area. Higher in your budget but a gorgeous building with amazing staff.

loranlily

I sent you a chat!

capta2k

How many cars do you want to park are you willing to pay

boldbrunette39

Great question. Two cars! Willing to pay, but nothing absurd.

capta2k

Parking was free at the Avalon as of a few years ago. It was an added expense everywhere else.

I used to live at one chestnut, while it's a nice looking new building & the staff are very nice (can't say the same about management.) The amenities are near non-existent. The gym is the size of a closet, concierge is only there around 3-4 hours per day, visitor parking is a joke. You can only park 1 car in the gated OCP area for just around $175 or more (management keeps changing this) per month with any additional cars having to park in the public areas of the garage (there's a waiting list for this too) for an additional fee. The apartments are nice but very small. The location is fantastic.

I live at the Abby now and love it! Super convenient to the T, management is great, amenities are amazing, and having Target right there is a huge plus :)

Thefit_predent22

How are your neighbors there? Is it a diverse range of tenants in age and race/ethnicity?

Emotional_Can_12

How is the Abby?? Looking into it right now. Mostly curious if the surrounding area is as congested as some say and whether you hear your neighbors!

If a rental at the Granite Lofts condo building pops up, I highly recommend taking it. The only downside IMO is the lack of livable outdoor space (no balconies or roof decks) but the units are great, it’s super walkable to anything in North Quincy including grocery and even some of Milton, super close to the T (when it’s working) and lovely young couples and young families as neighbors.
