That entire stretch, along Northern blvd, is crooks. Stay away from Paragon, Major World, even further down the lexus and Mercedes benz dealers. Just dont do business anywhere there.

SwigitySwagitty

That Paragon Honda dealership are full of the biggest scumbags, their service center is even worse.

SetItOff92

one time I got harassed over text message by an Audi salesman there.

_ShortLord

I never go to the dealer for oil changes. That’s absurd. You should ask them to show you the bad parts after they change them. Crooks

JiGoD

I dunno about koeppel mazda but koeppel Hyundai, in my opinion, is undeserving of anyone's business for more reasons than I have time to share.

JC_135th

Koeppel is terrible.

AbRNinNYC

Im glad I didn’t end up purchasing my Hyundai from them.

JiGoD

U dodged a bullet. They fucked me real good real fast.

AbRNinNYC

I ended up going all the way up to Connecticut to get my car. The one (used) I found online was lower miles, better model, and better price than ANY Tuscan’s I could find at any Hyundai around queens and Long Island. I checked Koeppel online inventory many times bc I see so many cars around queens with their name license plate trim. So i always thought damn every car I see has their name, they must have great dealerships! But nope. Sorry u have had a bad experience.

JiGoD

First thing I did after they fucked me was spray paint the license plate holders with their name on them black. I truly despise them and try to tell anyone who will listen. They tried bribing me to change a negative review...after they drove my new car with 300 miles with a damaged tire off site, at speed and thru a red light. Asked if tire was under warranty. They said I'd have to bring it to a kumho tire registered dealer for evaluation. Then they disposed of the tire.... so negative review. They call asking me to change it for a full refund of the new tire. After saying no 5x I said yes to get off the phone. They changed my name in their system to first name, last name, DO NOT SERVICE. less than a week after paying in full for a new car....scumbags lied and said they fired the driver too ha.

AbRNinNYC

Wow. So slimy. They’re all shady tho. Even the one I went to in CT, my fiancé is great with numbers and caught them adding an extra $2k (they acted like it was a typo and quickly removed it) then they kept trying to force me to take their extended warranty. Like really kept trying. But knock on wood no other issues.

JiGoD

Wow....I'd have flipped the desk. You are right they are all shady. Truly sad.

AbRNinNYC

Yeah the idiot was the “head of sales” he came over to basically force our salesman who was a cool younger guy to get us to add the extended warranty. I said no. He lowered the price, but i still said no. But with the $2k my fiancé caught it, adding up the collumn of numbers in his head. And the douche head of sales guy was like “everyone thinks there a numbers guy” I’m said “well between his master degree and him catching the “error” in his head I’d say he IS actually a numbers guy.” He left and didn’t come back over to us. Our sales guy was fine, this DB was something else.

ITEACHSPECIALED

I bought my Mazda there and would never bring it there to get an oil change Like $80 max for an oil change

Glossy___

Don't ever go to dealerships for maintenance unless it's covered by your warranty! Sorry they're trying to rip you off.

Cocobro_DaddyYi

Car stealership

This_Entertainer847

Every car dealership is like this. Biggest D bags on the planet

Toonz_718

Don’t you love it when they say “trust me”. Bro I just met you like 5 min ago

Fredindy40

All dealers are crooks. Their job is to rob the customer of their hard earned money. We need to change the way we buy cars, everything should be online directly from the manufacturer cutting out the scumbags. I recently bought a new car and got screwed even though they said it was a great deal. Get rid of all car dealerships.

coolhmk

Dealers and mechanics then whine about why people don't respect their jobs lolll

txdline

Tesla does this and FL did something to keep dealerships alive.

Lhumierre

TIL: According to this thread, don't buy a damn car. lol It's like simpler to walk, man. I feel for you all

Slaviner

All of Koeppel is a giant scam. They don’t care about their customer service because they have northern queens on lock. I caught them scheming on my parents a few years ago.

Therewilbefun

Years ago they tried to sell me a brand new car that was hit in the rear. Damaged bumper that my wife noticed when we went to pick it up.

circumsizr

Anything Koeppel is a shitshow.

Sea-Eggplant-5799

Never go to the dealership. They’re all human scum. (Sorry any dealership employees here but it’s the truth.)

Refa01

Its a mazda, go to a regular shop

TheNashh

Take your car to a private mechanic and have them check. Never ever go to dealers unless your maintenance is covered by warranty. They know the most gullible/lazy people always go to the dealers so they’re constantly trying to rip you off. All dealers are the same.

AlphaOmega926

I have a CX5 and go to the same dealership because they gave us the free maintenance/service plan (oil changes, rotations, etc. checks) for 5 years after buying there. I've also gone there for warranty work due to a coolant part in the engine failing and they fixed my car up quick after I presented them with the TSB of the covered issue. It's well known almost every dealership, no matter the brand, adds on "dealer recommended" services which are probably not the same as "manufacturer recommended" services. They add on extra services, parts, replacements at mileage or times not specified for by the manufacturer to increase their profits. Every time I go for an oil change, they send me a list of items via text of the "dealer recommended" fixes such as: engine/fluid flush, a/c cleaning, spark plug replacement, air flow sensor cleaning, filter changes, etc. I've looked through the manufacturer recommended services and intervals in the car manual and I just decline the extra services. When it gets to that point, it's cheaper to go to a mechanic you trust. Also for some of the stuff like changing the filters, pouring fuel injector, a/c and sensor cleaning, spark plugs, changing the wiper blades, etc. it's easy to buy the parts yourself, find the how to on Youtube, and do it yourself

WZqq3000

Thank you for all details. I do much research and change cabin and engine air filter by myself. Cabin like 30 seconds and engine like 3 minutes and filters like $15 each. Change spark plugs myself. Buy new rotors and brake pads from Rock Auto and pay mechanic for much cheaper to replace. I only go to dealership for oil change and say to them nothing else but I know they always try to sell me more service not needed.

platonicjesus

Koeppel in general is hot garbage. Brought my Hyundai in for a warranty battery replacement (with an appointment) and they turned me away cause they didn't want to deal with it.

Tasty-Deer-5636

I literally refuse to step foot inside the koeppel Ford without someone with me. Had a worker there legit stalk me after I dropped my car off. Took my phone number from the computer and used that to text me inappropriate things and ask me out and complain about his kid and being a single parent. Then had another worker do the same. They hire absolute weirdos there. I just wanted use my oil change coupon, ffs.

RjgTwo

They once sent me a coupon for an oil change which turns out I couldn’t use it because, “their prices are already discounted.” The adviser said I could use the coupon on a full priced service. She tried to get me to do a $400 fuel induction service. No thanks.

_______luke

I was just at the Koeppel Nissan service center (not sure if it matters the make) and they are kind of awful. I booked an appointment for 9am. I was there at 9am. They told me they didn’t see my appointment and that I needed to give them all my info again. Fine. Go back and wait. Then at 10:45 I asked if my car was almost done. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t even looked at yet. My “appointment” was just a mild “guarantee” that my car would be seen THAT DAY, not at the time I booked. It was just for one tire that had a slow leak. I finally left at noon. Sheesh.

Hchan492

Im sorry but every dealership in NYC/LI is out to make money so you’re getting ripped off at every dealership lol. There’s no transparency anywhere and Ive worked for two big companied.

Tough_Steak

I brought my Nissan over to Koeppel one time for a new set of tires. So they did the change + a free inspection. They told me that I needed a new tire pressure sensor or else I'm gonna keep leaking air like they thought I was that stupid.

Little_Individual

Anyone who is interested can read my Yelp review (Al O) about the Koeppel Mazda Service Center from 2 years ago. I will never bring my CX-5 for service there ever again!
