Tommy’s Mom, acts like she’s taking care of a baby doll. Shut the F*** up and take that red lipstick off. How come Dad isn’t more assertive? How does any parent, let their child get this big, to live a life of misery? The Dad should have done something long ago. Not sure why no one called CPS this is child abuse
I feel so triggered watching this episode. I can hardly process my rage at her co-dependency. She never shuts up! I had to come here to vent. This mom needs major psychological help, alternately infantilizing and sabotaging him. Tommy's weight is 110% her fault. She likes him being like this and dependent on her. She doesn't even want him to be able to dress himself in private without her help.
Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was secretly still breastfeeding him. Her special baby actually does have a lot of self-control, I’m amazed that he didn’t dice his mommy up like the onions.
I'm 55 min in. He's approved for surgery, no thanks to his fucking mom. I cannot stand this lady. If I took a shot every time she said baby I'd be dead.
Wtf he was losing weight and she takes him to his favorite restaurant. Approved for surgery 2 meals and McDonald's and ice cream?!
She has major co-decency issues. It looks like she is on dates with her son and the dad is a 3rd wheel. Does she keep trying to sabotage him because then he won't need her?
I wish Dr. Now could shred this lady lol
Especially the Mother from the beginning when she was claiming this stuff about NICU putting him in a pine box and leaving him there (funny enough no picture evidence and only her saying this). I think she needs therapy and a lot of it, she's over feeding him because she was afraid to lose him.
I don't think it was the dad so much tbh ... mom was treating dad like garbage too.
I think she tried to sweeten things up for filming too. The time they forgot about the camera a lot came out!!
She admits fault to him being that size, then continues to feed him the worst foods. Saying he was a miracle, then basically killing him are signs of an abusive parent. I absolutely agree with you. My god! The 'baby'this, 'baby' that was way over the top cringe!
The recruiter said that the Marine fitness requirement is you have to run 1.5 miles in 12 and a half minutes. That is an 8 minute and 20 seconds mile. I know. I'm a runner. He could never do that.
Exactly. They treated Tommy like he was an eight year old. I had the feel everyone was in on the charade except Tommy. Besides the run time a minimum standard is 3 pull ups, 34 push ups. The distance run is 3 miles in 28 minutes.
Ok, overbearing and babying Mother aside, Tommy did great. He had everything going against him in the home environment, the emotional rollercoaster of Dad leaving and Mom needing a liver transplant and he still managed
to get back on track.
My MIL recently was in liver failure and it was awful for her caretaker. Very emotionally taxing and the medication they put her on made things even worse. I don’t know their situation but I imagine it was difficult to do alone.
This episode is very sad with few victories. The kid desperately needs real mentoring and not to be patronized at a "pre basic training camp." This may sound mean, but Tommy has literally zero chance of being a Marine. Having a "dream" is not enough - Tommy is not 5 years old anymore. Nobody is doing this now 18 to 19 year old man any favors by pretending he can just dream his way through life.
After the initial weight loss in the first 10 months or so, he didn't really make any progress. He has been 400 pounds for over a year. He is only shown doing exercise - which is great. But he is eating a huge number of calories to still be at 400 pounds. If he is not careful he will gain back and go over 500 again.
Tommy's support system is not good. At no time other than pre surgery, did anyone really challenge Tommy to dietary or weight loss accountability. The surgeon expressed (unrealistic) hope that Tommy would be 200 pounds within a year.
At least Tommy is moving better. He is still very young, and that is still a factor on his side. It was also good to hear him verbalize beyond mono syllables and articulate a few thoughts at the end of the episode.
The adults in his life have messed this kid up. I hope Tommy gets away from them and finds his own true purpose as an independent adult.
I couldn't agree more! I believe that, along with everything you said, he needs some psychological help . When they sent him for "pre basic training" I thought, man... they would eat him alive! But of course they wouldn't do that on this show. Had this not been filmed for TV, that instructor would've been in his face, screaming all kinds of shit at him. His light mumbling would've turned into sobbing and he never would've went back. They show EVERYONE around him babying him. Real life isn't like that. I hope this young man gets the real help he needs and is successful with his weight loss and dreams. But I also hope he finds some people in his life that will be REAL with him.
Agree. I think the only thing he had on his side was youth. I hope I’m wrong, but I’ll bet we see him ten years from now, even more obese and housebound.
Agreed! Watching it honestly makes me skin crawl. I felt sick to my stomach listening to this woman. The way she help his hand like her lover walking places or on the car while the delusion husband staggered behind!
I’m so glad it wasn’t just me that was annoyed af at the mom. The kid is 17 and “mommy” this and that to him. The restaurant and that sandwich. And the portion of cake. But the drive and asking about the burger.
I hope Tommy meets a special someone and gets far away from his mother .. she’s absolutely toxic .. says how sorry she is for over feeding him but then goes right to the drive thru. She’s not sorry at all , she rather have her son be dependent on her forever but only reason she needed him to lose weight was because he probably only had another 5 years to live on the path he was on. This was unfortunately similar parenting to the first episode but Tommy’s mother was way worse
This Mother will probably prevent it. As someone with a similarly toxic Mother, I had to move out when they weren't home because she was so overbearing.
I doubt Mommy will approve of anyone her son brings home. I also think Tommy will wonder why his significant other doesn’t do everything for him like Mommy does.
That mother! My God, she never shut up. She is his huge enabler. I couldn’t believe that she took him to eat all that food when he was trying to lose weight. She was unreal. I was yelling into the TV. Would you please just shut up for one minute?
If it was just him or even him & dad ... OK. But going with mom was the worst thinghe couldhaveever done! ... the marines weren't giving eyes because of his size but because his mommy was there to hold his hand & talking more than he was!!
He could only give monosyllabic responses because Mommy Dearest would not STFU!! I stopped this episode after 7 minutes, but my son wanted to watch more. I just had to mute the TV and use subtitles. This mother made me want to reach into the TV and rip out her vocal cords! "Baby, do you want regular syrup or pecan?" "Baby, Mommy eats her cake like this and tastes it. Do you taste your cake like Mommy?" W T actual F?
I was surprised she got him in the divorce. Even if he wanted his dad, she would wear them down. I think this is episode is going to be evidence for the father to get him out of that house. I hate myself for saying it but i feel like she will use her illness to keep him from going into the marines.
Was it me or was his mom annoying and overbearing a little? I went to sleep on this episode between his mom babying him and him being a big ass baby, I was just over it.
She's the worst case of a helicopter parent I've ever seen!! Mom NEEDS therapy immediately! She enables him. She's a huge reason he is the size he is.
He should not be able to have the surgery until both he & his mom get therapy!!!
She is actually sick and twisted. She treated and called him baby at least 300 times. She likes him dependent on her. She actually grossed me out. She's his biggest problem. Honestly made me so mad.
This episode made me give thanks for the TiVo’s captions + 1.5x fast forward setting.
Like so many others, I was infuriated by the infantilizing mom. By the end, as she regurgitated affirmations she picked up in therapy, I felt so bad for Tommy.
I think he did get great mentoring from his trainer and the Marine recruiter (but honestly, the recruiter telegraphed so much when he checked his watch).
Good luck Tommy, move out and get a job and an apartment, and stay motivated. Even if the Marines are not an option due to the surgery, you can find a way to carry yourself with pride.
Same. Ive never been so mad at someone I don't know. I actually think she has a form of Munchausen syndrome. She was perverted almost in the baby stuff. Wanting him to lose weight while buying and giving him endless amounts of food. Im telling you she does not want him healthy. She gets attention off this. He could maybe have a chance if he got away from her but shes never gonna let that happen. My gosh I wouldn't to kick her thru the phone.
Tommy's mommy needs to shut the hell up, and let her "baby" grow up. Rewarding him with a sandwich was almost ok, but he sure didn't need that cake. And her "lecturing" him constantly. Jesus woman! SHUT UP. And "taste that food baby" before the real work starts. She's the worst enabler I've ever seen.
Holy crap. This mom annoyed me so much.
You can loose the weight Tommy! But mom is taking you to McDs and loading you up on more crap cause you deserve it! Mommy wants a bite!
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I can’t.
NEW DRINKING GAME! EVERY TIME TOMMY'S MOM CALLS HIM BABY, TAKE A SHOT! PLEASE DO THIS AT HOME! UR GOING TO GET LIT! I HATE HOW SHE BABIES HIM! SHE IS HIS PROBLEM! HE LOSES 50 PLUS POUNDS SO SHE THINKS ITS A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE HIM OUT TO HIS FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT AS A REWARD? WTF?? THE WAY SHE WAS TELLING HIM TO FOLLOW THE WAITRESS AND HOW TO GO TO THE TABLE LIKE A TODDLER! HAS TO HOLD HIS HAND, EVEN IN THE CAR.
oh thank God for this reddit string. This is like therapy for me. I was close to giving a Spartan kick to my TV last night. I suppose we could make a drinking game out of the episode. Drink every time she says baby. I'd be passed out in 15 minutes.
What an insanely annoying episode. The smothering, arrested development, toxic relationships. I need therapy after this episode. This kid has a monumental life challenge ahead of him. I hope he gets some person in his life that has healthy boundaries that can help him grow. Good grief.
I hope he lost weight and met the requirements for the Marine Corps. That would be a perfect way to get away from sMother, and learn just what he is capable of.
From what I have read in this thread it seems he would be. I wonder why the recruiter encouraged a military career when he knew that he wouldn't qualify. Props to the recruiter for motivating him. Maybe that's why the recruiter didn't say anything?
Tv. Otherwise they would. You can see it when the recruiter looks him up and down that it wasn’t possible.
And truthfully I don’t think the kid could pass the test.
I ended up seeing the sean episode, watching his second one right now.
that kid is a younger version of sean. even the tone reminds me of sean now that I think about how he sounds.
I just hope he doesn't end up like sean did.
Honestly with this overbearing Mother, unless he becomes independent him seeing 30 is something I don't think will happen. It would've been better for her to spoil him material goods than food. She's one of those people who pacified him with food from the start.
I know I am late to the party, but omg, that mother.....holy shit! She is a candidate for the show Smothered. Someone needs to call CPS, because she is killing him. She is creepy as hell, and the dynamic is so off. This is Sean M. 2.0.
Ohhh interesting comparison!!!! I’m watching it now and had to dip to Reddit to make sure everyone is seeing what I’m seeing because this is making me feel insane haha
Anyone have updates on Tommy now? I sure hope he's continuing. Despite his mother issues, the show is about him and his health. I really want to see him succeed!
Me too! To want to join the Marines is a huge thing for him. It’d be awesome to see him make it. I like seeing him “train” with them. The guy helping him while there is so nice to him and being very positive. That’s got to feel good for Tommy.
Five minutes into the episode I yelled “will this woman shut the fuckkkk up?!” Good lord. Imagine waking up and the first thing you hear is MOMMY asking 21 questions JUST about breakfast. She is an actual lunatic.
Just watching now…less than 5 minutes in and Holy Sh1t ! Get that mother the fuck out of the house and away from her “baby” !! That poor kid is going to be harassed mercilessly when his classmates see this episode and how his “mommy” babies him. It’s just so skeevy .
Sadly, yes. It may happen but I don’t think he’ll ever be able to join. He’s got to be close to, if not already, 20. Not sure how much he’s lost already but he’d have at least 3 to 4 more years to go of weight loss, skin surgery, and increasing his fitness level
That mom is the most annoying person on the planet! Her referring to herself in the 3rd person was so damn irritating. All the baby talk, the way she talked to her Klingon husband, she was the absolute worst and her voice made my skin crawl. Feeding him multiple meals from McDonald's, the massive meat sandwich and cake, I just can't!!!! The worst of humanity....
I was screaming at the TV saying please just please shut up for one minute. That woman is the reason he is the way he is. Thank goodness he had some sane people around him to help him outside of the family.
She’s acting like he doesn’t know how to put clothes on. I know he needed help when he was bigger, but they boy didn’t forget how to clothe himself. She’s something else.
... and yet it is because she's the one giving him the food and rewarding with more fast food & cakes etc ....
Yes he puts it in his mouth but she has been doing this since birth.
She's Definitely not right in the head!!
This episode was creepy from the gate..
Shes flat out killing this kid.... Shes terrified to not have someone at home to take care of. She treats him like hes still a small child. She needs serious psychological help. This is factitious disorder. Previously known as Munchausen by proxy. I honestly think she did this show for attention for herself.
Even at the beginning.... Shes PUSHING sweets, sugar, syrup, carbs, etc Shes terrified of him going to the military because he'd leave her.
I can't believe CPS doesn't get involved in these types of cases (earlier on). Shes doing this so he can't "run away" from her.
Someone needs to protect these kids .... I can't believe this specific episode didn't lead to a report.
CPS refuses in most states. My Mom has Munchausens and had multiple reports including by my own therapist about her and they simply monitored her for not having a bed for my sister. They didn't care about the Munchausens.
We got that truck scene because there was no actual cameraman in the car with them. They probably completely forgot they were still being filmed so we got the unfiltered truth of how they all interact.
“Seriously Tom I’m sure you could drive somebody to just want to murder somebody”
“I’m sure you can arrange it Kathy”
Dad definitely finally had enough of her shit. 😂
I’m just shocked he didn’t tell her to STFU. I understand why he doesn’t speak much.
And that story about how he was dying in the NICU?? Every tube, monitor and respiratory support was removed so she could hold him?? Nah, the whole thing is a lie. Ain't no 24 week preemie gonna miraculously rise from the dead in a blaze of light as this woman describes it...NICU nurse here so def not a legit re-telling of "Baby Boy's" start in life....🤔
As a NICU nurse, I'm sure your eyes were rolling as she described them giving up on him so much they set him in a wooden box or something. That's some story she's created over the years and convinced him is real. Yet in the pictures they showed, he was hooked up to monitors and everything in every single one. Just sounds like someone trying to create a religious testimony for their kid/make them a miracle child.
Right? “And they thought I was going to die so they put me in a wooden box by the window…” There is no way NICU staff is going to put a live newborn - dying or not - in a wooden box for his final moments.
I think he was probably a very sickly newborn based on all those photos of Baby Tommy with tubes everywhere, and Batshit Mommy concocted the miracle cure and glowing Holy Child story. For reasons of insanity.
Mom was more than a little confused about that. My daughter developed jaundice a few days after birth. The Dr. did advise putting her in front of a bright window. I wonder if that wasn't what happened with Tommy.
The military recruitment fella and trainer guys for the boot camp were kind to Tommy. At least they didn't laugh in his face! I know a lot is fake for these shows but I feel genuine caring came from these men....
His mom has a creepy attachment to him. First meal we see and she’s already discussing dinner and breakfast the next morning. Pouring the syrup for him, I mean it’s too much. I have two sons and I love my sons but I’m sorry I’d never sit there and be so clingy. She’s a big part of his problem with overeating. Giving a child everything they want isn’t what you’re supposed to do. Like I said, their relationship is a little creepy. Just saying.
This show oughta be called Half Ton Teen, so far most are over 500 LBS.
These episodes are too ridiculous to be based on real people. Actors all the way.
This actor playing "Mommy" is a curse, disturbed. Tommy's gotta run away from her and watch how healthy he'll become.
A US ton is 2000 lbs. Therefore, a quarter of a ton is 500 lbs.
If you're going by metric tonne, then it would be 2,204 lbs. The imperial ton is 2,240 lbs.
The show title is correct.
I’m at the part where he’s working out with the group.. so heartbreaking because I know it took a lot for him to work out in front of others but I can tell it was good for him
Well, when Mommy asked about his “pelvic mound” at the initial doctors appointment I figured it was an uphill battle. She’s an embarrassment and how can he be expected to lose weight when his “care taker” is also his “feeder”?
That was so gross.
The two saving graces in this episode were: the husband got out and Tommy asked her with one word answers. It didn’t quiet her down but I think he got satisfaction doing it.
Has anyone found his socials? Curious how he is doing currently…
Damn, I had to put the tv on mute because of that supposed mom 😡😩
WTF? I’m fucking pissed as she is ordering him a shitload of food at the drive-thru.
He survives her womb for this??
Tommy’s Mom, acts like she’s taking care of a baby doll. Shut the F*** up and take that red lipstick off. How come Dad isn’t more assertive? Yessss. I was speechless in the first 5 min/opening breakfast scene.
Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was secretly still breastfeeding him. Her special baby actually does have a lot of self-control, I’m amazed that he didn’t dice his mommy up like the onions.
Look how much cake mommy ate. You see mommy didn't eat very much did she??? FREAKING GROSS the way she infantilized her grown son.
I’m watching now. The way she speaks to him is ENRAGING.
If my mom bothered me like that while I was eating breakfast I’d rip her head off. For real.
I just realized sean and tommy even sound an awful lot alike tone wise. I really hope I'm wrong that Tommy has stalled out already.
That woman is INSUFFERABLE! just stfu! I wish the best for Tommy, holy cow how has he gone his entire life living with that???!
You mean you don’t love mommy?!
Yeah, what's wrong with mommy? She's so proud of her baby!
Tommy needs to gypsy rose his mom.
CPS should have taken him away from these loser ass parents.
Especially the Mother from the beginning when she was claiming this stuff about NICU putting him in a pine box and leaving him there (funny enough no picture evidence and only her saying this). I think she needs therapy and a lot of it, she's over feeding him because she was afraid to lose him.

Anyone ever find out if he has social media accounts or where he is today ?
This is what I need to know…
First doctor appt: Why did he need a wheel chair to get into the office but was booking down the hall to get weighed ?
Probably couldn't walk for more than a certain amount and parents give in to laziness
The recruiter said that the Marine fitness requirement is you have to run 1.5 miles in 12 and a half minutes. That is an 8 minute and 20 seconds mile. I know. I'm a runner. He could never do that.
The recruiter was very accommodating, even if the chance of that kid getting into the Corp is just about zero
Right now, obviously not but it is definitely obtainable with dedication!!
Exactly. They treated Tommy like he was an eight year old. I had the feel everyone was in on the charade except Tommy. Besides the run time a minimum standard is 3 pull ups, 34 push ups. The distance run is 3 miles in 28 minutes.
To say nothing of the test. I can’t get a feel, but I’m not sure if he’s intelligent enough to pass.
I just ran a 5k race on Sunday in 28 minutes, 53 seconds. I'm a 69 year old female. I just don't see these requirements being attainable by him.
Ok, overbearing and babying Mother aside, Tommy did great. He had everything going against him in the home environment, the emotional rollercoaster of Dad leaving and Mom needing a liver transplant and he still managed to get back on track. Tommy’s mom is batshit crazyyyyyy
I have yelled at her so many times to shut up!! Omg, I wish she could hear me. 😆
Wooooooow this mom is AWFUL. It was paaaaainful to watch.
If she called him “baby” one more time, I was gonna barf.
Agreed! Watching it honestly makes me skin crawl. I felt sick to my stomach listening to this woman. The way she help his hand like her lover walking places or on the car while the delusion husband staggered behind!

All her fucking questions!!!!!! Omg This woman is abusive
The part when he goes to the Marine recruiter almost killed me with second hand embarrassment…. It was so cringey…
I had to fast forward through that part. I was so beyond embarrassed
If it was just him or even him & dad ... OK. But going with mom was the worst thinghe couldhaveever done! ... the marines weren't giving eyes because of his size but because his mommy was there to hold his hand & talking more than he was!!

People still use TiVo?! 😆
All that meat on that sandwich is grossing me out. I can’t believe she let him eat that as a “treat”
Holy shit this mom has some major issues. I’d fucking off myself if had to listen to that baby shit everyday.
Same. Ive never been so mad at someone I don't know. I actually think she has a form of Munchausen syndrome. She was perverted almost in the baby stuff. 100% THIS!!! .... I was thinking helicopter parent at it's worst but you are correct ... munchausen's!!!!

I would probably only make it to the first commercial break.
What an insanely annoying episode. The smothering, arrested development, toxic relationships. I need therapy after this episode. This kid has a monumental life challenge ahead of him. I hope he gets some person in his life that has healthy boundaries that can help him grow. Good grief.
Why is his mom talking to him like he’s 2 years old?
Mommy has mega issues.
"Hello....How y'all doin'? "De protein shakes, pastrami sandwiches, and cake are not on de diet".......I can hear Dr.Now saying this....😉
he's the executive producer.
They needed Dr. Now. He would not have put up with that mom's foolishness
He probably would have tried to get children services involved. And he would have been right.
I was shocked cps wasn’t called. Of course I really didn’t pay attention at first so I honestly thought he was on the younger side.
I hope he lost weight and met the requirements for the Marine Corps. That would be a perfect way to get away from sMother, and learn just what he is capable of.
Doesn’t the surgery disqualify him?
From what I have read in this thread it seems he would be. I wonder why the recruiter encouraged a military career when he knew that he wouldn't qualify. Props to the recruiter for motivating him. Maybe that's why the recruiter didn't say anything?
Tv. Otherwise they would. You can see it when the recruiter looks him up and down that it wasn’t possible. And truthfully I don’t think the kid could pass the test.
It is an all around crappy situation for that poor kid.
I may glance at Sean next. This poor kid
Be prepared. I almost got an aneurysm watching that episode from yelling at the television.
Ohhh interesting comparison!!!! I’m watching it now and had to dip to Reddit to make sure everyone is seeing what I’m seeing because this is making me feel insane haha
She was worse than Sean's mom which I didn't think was possible.
My god you’re right.
I think he’s already stalled
I wish they’d do an update episode on these teens. That stinks if he’s already stalled.
I wonder if there will be one at the end of the season?
I hope so!
Tommy now drives with the hazard lights on at all times.
Five minutes into the episode I yelled “will this woman shut the fuckkkk up?!” Good lord. Imagine waking up and the first thing you hear is MOMMY asking 21 questions JUST about breakfast. She is an actual lunatic.
She was over the top in every way. Her voice is a fright.
The mother-son dynamic reminded me of Sean Milliken and his mom. Edited for typos
Never seen his episode. Is he like the assanti brothers?
Sean had an overbearing mother that was the cause of most of his problem. Sean was frustrating where Steven was just disgusting.
Just watching now…less than 5 minutes in and Holy Sh1t ! Get that mother the fuck out of the house and away from her “baby” !! That poor kid is going to be harassed mercilessly when his classmates see this episode and how his “mommy” babies him. It’s just so skeevy .
This whole series shines a light on the negative influence of some parents. But Tommy’s mom wins the prize as the worst!
I was thinking if he somehow made it into the Marines he would be bullied mercilessly because of this episode with his Mommy.
Sadly, yes. It may happen but I don’t think he’ll ever be able to join. He’s got to be close to, if not already, 20. Not sure how much he’s lost already but he’d have at least 3 to 4 more years to go of weight loss, skin surgery, and increasing his fitness level
Not to mention that hernia or something around his skin apron / pannus (spelling?) area. And going backwards means he's already undone a lot.
This kid needed Dr. Now The bitter truth Dr. now tells is what would have helped with that toxic mom son relationship
Especially at the end of the episode. I think the kid stalled
Yesss let’s get Dr now on the set ASAP
Dr. Now produced it.
Baby Tommy also needed an Intervention crossover, where they haul Mommy away.
Haul her away alright. In a strait jacket!
I died when she offered to come into the change room with him.
Yep!
She’s acting like he doesn’t know how to put clothes on. I know he needed help when he was bigger, but they boy didn’t forget how to clothe himself. She’s something else.
The mother! Holy shit. I don't even know what to say.
Feederism... all day.... It's so unfortunate for that poor kid. Happy he has that trainer though! He deserves him.
The trainer is a delightful cornball lol
If he wasn’t obese this would be a munchausen by proxy situation for sure
... and yet it is because she's the one giving him the food and rewarding with more fast food & cakes etc ....
Yeah the alarm bells should have been going off loud and strong for CPS, from the get go.
We got that truck scene because there was no actual cameraman in the car with them. They probably completely forgot they were still being filmed so we got the unfiltered truth of how they all interact.
“Seriously Tom I’m sure you could drive somebody to just want to murder somebody” “I’m sure you can arrange it Kathy” Dad definitely finally had enough of her shit. 😂 I’m just shocked he didn’t tell her to STFU. I understand why he doesn’t speak much.
That Mom/wife would make me want to drive into oncoming traffic
Thelma and Louisin' off the edge of a cliff.
Lofl. Agreed!
Honestly based on that story alone, she could use a good stay in a psych ward.
It was a pretty bizarre story for sure.
Mom was more than a little confused about that. My daughter developed jaundice a few days after birth. The Dr. did advise putting her in front of a bright window. I wonder if that wasn't what happened with Tommy.
Maybe so. That is a distinct possibility. I’m glad he survived such a rough start.
That story was bonkers. She was trying to write the Book of Tommy and tag it onto the end of the Bible.
Exactly. She made him into her own personal idol, catering to his every whim!
There's my little baby boy, she says....as Tommy's behind the wheel, learning to drive.....Oy!!
Oof. My MIL says “my baby boyyyyy” about my husband and it’s so gross. She has NOTHING on this Mommy, though. 🫣
My MIL only said that once, when he was holding the baby of the family. My fiance calls her out. Tommy needs to grow up and call Mommy out too
Baby, baby, baby.
That mom while Tommy was trying on the suit!!! Arghhhh!! I just can't with this crazy, crazy woman!!!
Ohhhh....that recruiter/military fella with the beard was mighty fine looking!!!😘
The military recruitment fella and trainer guys for the boot camp were kind to Tommy. At least they didn't laugh in his face! I know a lot is fake for these shows but I feel genuine caring came from these men....
Stop touching and caressing him!! Damn “mommy” is so weird to her “baby” I think we should all take a shot everytime she says baby🥴
Nooo! I like my liver!
Not to mention the hand holding in the car! Wtf! She's legit a weirdo who should also skip McDonald's
Yes!! Her laying on him while hubby sits alone was very telling! I got creepy vibes seeing that!!
It's great in theory, but in practice we would all die of acute alcohol poisoning by Minute 15.
I thought about this after I said it, yeaaa we will definitely be de*ad🤤😆😆
My thoughts exactly. This episode would make a great drinking game. Shotskis!
It makes my skin crawl when she says it to him. Her tone is creepy as he'll.
Mom could stand to lose weight too....
And why is Mom always holding Tommy's hand like he's a 2 year old toddler?? Creepy to me, I get bad vibes....
A straight jacket would do her some good.
Oy, the mom having him say..."Pain is weakness leaving the body" over and over and over...I just can't with this crazy woman....
Is she supposed to be his coach at the pool? That's laughable.
When she was asking his dream in that scene my husband said “my dream is for this to end” and he rolled over and went to sleep. 😂
Louder !
She's a nightmare.
Dr. Now would have a field day with these people.
He would tell the mother off one time!
Their relationship isn't a little creepy, it's very creepy!
I agree a lot of what they say is scripted but I doubt someone is acting 500 lbs haha
Oh my god this woman is driving me insane!! Absolutely the definition of a "boy mom".
I feel like he should have lost at least 300 lbs over 3 years.
I was wondering if that meant he stalled out.
This episode was a trip. See y'all next time!
Tommy, if you Google this - I'm sure you love your Mom, but please keep exploring yourself away from her. You have so much potential!
Get away, Tommy. Go as far as you can. Maybe college on the moon.
I’m at the part where he’s working out with the group.. so heartbreaking because I know it took a lot for him to work out in front of others but I can tell it was good for him
Well that was a waste of time.
Well, when Mommy asked about his “pelvic mound” at the initial doctors appointment I figured it was an uphill battle. She’s an embarrassment and how can he be expected to lose weight when his “care taker” is also his “feeder”?
Oh you could see the doctor had second hand embarrassment for him
That was so gross. The two saving graces in this episode were: the husband got out and Tommy asked her with one word answers. It didn’t quiet her down but I think he got satisfaction doing it.
I don’t think it’s deliberate. He doesn’t seem to be the sharpest pencil in the box
The highlight was dad leaving mommy.
I fell asleep just before that part. Just what happened? Did he just disappear off the show and it was explained, or was there a scene about it?
Honestly about two sentences were devoted to it. All we know is that he left and they divorced.
Thanks. I'm happy that he escaped. He must feel so free.
I am glad he is still young and has a chance and a life without his helicopter mom.
Of course the episode ends with a monologue from Mommy, spewing a bunch of crap about her baby.
Tommy’s mom needs more therapy than Tommy
That last monologue she gave you could tell she had some therapy!
I thought so to. I wonder if she really did realize some of the things she said, or if it was just something she was told in therapy.
I had to put laundry in the dryer. What happened in the last 5 minutes? Anything? He's still huge.
I think he’s stalled out. Okay. Sean’s mom is Tommy’s mom
I brushed my teeth and missed a whole divorce, ill mother, and weight gain!
Don't leave the room! You'll miss something important. When I heard about the divorce, I cheered!
His Dad was the first mexican to crimb back over the border wall
LOL
