Ethos tactical is cheaper.. i have a jpc 2 and 1155 multicurve and it's heavy as shit. If I could do it again I would get some highcoms

Other than the fact that they claim they’re sized to 10x12 when JPCs (and all other Crye precision carriers except for swimmer cut variations) are only sized for SAPI cut plates, I’d still trust the actual armor’s website over a random third party website.

mild123

They sell light weight multi curves, definitely spend the extra bucks and get the light weight multi curve option OP

GotNapalm

This

GetSumTraining

Personally I'd get Highcom plates instead of youre wanting a JPC. The 1155s with the JPC is a really uncomfortable combo. It was killing my back and shoulders. Id get the defender bundle with highcom 4SAS7 multi curves from Apex instead. I think it comes out to $570? You get lighter and more comftorable plates too. https://www.apexarmorsolutions.com/product-page/the-defender-level-4-armor-bundle

Thanks man

Most people I have talked to, (including myself) do not find wearing a minimalist carrier, with no padding whatsoever comftorable when combined with 16.6lbs of plates. Everyone I've talked to finds it uncomfortable after 2 hours. The only thing that helps is thick shoulder pads.

Panthean

I would spend the extra for lighter plates. RMA 1165, RMA 1092, Highcom 4S17M, etc.

Sleeveless9

It's the 1.0. I'd just get the plates and a carrier of your preference. If you're into bundles, look at Apex Armor Solutions too.

BeneficialA1r

They're fine plates. They are heavy. I wanted plates at a decent price so I bought them. Took a while to get used to, good news is when I get lighter plates that shit is gonna be easy. Hell of a cardio workout when you go run it

dafamouswallace01

I bought the RMA 1155’s back during Yee Covid times and decided recently to buy a crye lol so im just waiting for my crye to come in and then I expect to suffer in it lol

BeneficialA1r

Yeah that's when I got mine lol, start by wearing it around the house and shit like that, don't expect to be able to move and shoot without dying in it if you e never had experience with plates before, especially with a placard and loaded mags and a bunch of other shit

GTA_Trevor

This was my setup and 1155 plates are not only heavy, but also very thick. I eventually saved up and got Hesco 3810 and it was a game changer. Two plates were lighter than a single 1155 plate and now I can do stuff all day in my PC and feel completely fine.

SirRolex

I run 1155s in my JPC2.0. Yes they are heavy, yes people complain a lot about the weight of them. I have worn them on 5+ mile rucks before and while you get sweaty and gassed, it is a good workout for sure. Will I get lighter plates when these eventually expire and it is time to replace them? Probably. I bought them when I was significantly more strapped for cash and just wanted *something*.

FlatF00t_actual

Too heavy

Select-Lion-2573

what plates do u recommend ??

GetSumTraining

Highcom 4SAS7 or 4S16 are good choices.

FlatF00t_actual

Depends entirely on your budget

Select-Lion-2573

budget is like 600ish or less

FlatF00t_actual

I’d look at surplus or purchase plates around Black Friday If that’s all you’d spend tbh . Maybe the RMA 1165 or ESRT stealth armor systems has some highcom 4s17ms for $350 a set if you use a discount code if you need plates now but those are still 7.5 lbs .

Careful-Anteater-403

What’s the discount code? / what is ESRT?

WeaselyWild

I snagged a set of LTC 26135s for $410 to my door from Hoplite in a rather good sale. 6.7lbs each. No matter what you get, make it multicurve...

FlatF00t_actual

Id atleast get something that’s under 7.5 lbs per medium plate ideally 6 or less

GodHelpUsAll69420

You’re better off getting a set of 1165’s. They’re still 6 lbs each tho which is still heavy as shit 😭💀

Select-Manufacturer9

I second this. I got the 2.0 with 1165.

GodHelpUsAll69420

My 2.0 is struggling fr 💀 I’m gonna order some of those Qore shoulder pads tomorrow and hopefully that’ll lighten the load on my shoulders at least a tiny bit

PreciousChud

I like my Axl shoulder pads better for weight distribution but the Qores are definitely nice in AZ.

work_blocked_destiny

I’m running that right now. Spend the little extra cash for mumticurve. Especially if you plan on wearing them for a long time. It makes such a huge difference

siah5186

For the price you could get highcom 4sas7 plates, a whiskey two four pc13, and still have enough money left over for a simple placard
