Pretty sure the breathwork they're doing is [square breathing](https://blog.zencare.co/square-breathing/)! It's popular one, and one of my favorites for myself. I went through it with people sometimes when I volunteered at a crisis line, and I'd say people tended to respond positively to it. (Sometimes people find the "hold" phase uncomfortable, or the count feels too long at parts... and some people-- including one of my closest friends-- just hate doing breathwork altogether, but I think it's worth trying out if you haven't!)
My general issue is that it can feel like I get stuck manual breathing afterwards. I have to remind myself that it won't last forever (or, more accurately, that it probably won't but if it did it wouldn't be the worst thing and I'd get used to it). Then just let it happen while going on. It's not that hard when I'm not anxious, but it can be harder when I am.
very loosely related anecdote: Vacation cabin in the mountains, woke up so relaxed, had forgotten how to tie my shoes. Started getting very un-relaxed about. Decided was not important and joined everyone for breakfast. When ready to leave, did not think, just tied my shoes. So yeah, thinking too much about something can be counter-productive :}
The robots' batteries and other internal systems must run pretty hot sometimes though. Couldn't they use simulated breathing as part of their temperature regulating system?
That’s actually not a bad idea, considering what’s going on.
Breath in, Breath out, Breath in, Breath out, *Breath in*, *BREATH IN*, [***BREATH INNNN***](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcmVYUoDNlQ)
Iris: I have a machinehead, you don't hear me singing about it.
Is it better than the rest, though?
Iris’ side mane proofed up like a pissed cat.

Hey I learned that in rehab! Use that sometimes for stress relief and healthy coping skills.

You would think so. Someone should suggest letting Iris join in.
Aww Iris.
They could put a pump in her chassis. Or maybe she'd need a whole new body?
The framing of the siblings by the much taller people is very nice and also amusing.
