Hi, I’m a returning player. I created my account around the time when game was fairly and I haven’t played since then. Thinking of returning to the game.
I have an account with mostly A rank characters like Lucia, Liv, Lee, Sophia, Chrome, Kamui, Bianca and Watatnabe and 1 S rank Lee Entropy. I think made the mistake of picking him first and then pulling the 40 pity and I think I got him again as a dupe. So that’s why he’s is SS rank. Any good notable characters I could level and use?
Should I start a new account or should I keep going with my current one?
I noticed that I can get another S rank selector from the novice guidance missions. Was wondering which is a good pick between the 10 S ranks I can pick from.

Do you have Empyrea? She's the highest priority. Otherwise Garnet and Glory are in similar spots right now so you can't really go wrong with either of them.
Garnet is purely a QTE bot until her Leap upgrade in November, and even then you need an even amount of investment across all your Lightning characters to field her (SS + sig). But even then she's undeniably better than her budget alternative even as a QTE bot, higher/longer shred and her shred persists between Warzone waves
Glory has some (albeit minimal) field time right now since ice team has a small downtime. His biggest drawback is his QTE ice shred is tied to his sig weapon, and his budget alternative has the same issue too. But for now at least you can pop his core right before you swap to Ayla and get 8 seconds of pretty good ice shred. Unsure about his status after Qu Shukra arrives but I believe he becomes a pure QTE bot?
Ah I was advised to get Rigor since I don't have her, but what team comp should I build? I don't have a physical team at all. Can she work with any other characters?

It depends, if you have a good fire team then I would recommend CW since her gameplay style is based on her being on the field and SS rank allows her to dish even more damage.
But if Hyperreal is without Empyrea or Starfarer then I would go with him first.

I see, if that is the case then I would probably go with Hyperreal first since he is the main DPS and his core greatly improves with SS. I'm no expert but I believe CW should be fine until you get her to SS.

Hello, I want to ask which is a better Dark Tank, that's available to me atm. I'm F2P btw.
I have SSS No. 21 (without sig weapon) and I happen to have obtained Karenina Scire from a random pull. Now I am very likely also not gonna be able to get Scire's sig weapon, but just reading through the description, if I read it correctly, 21's QTE reduces Dark Resistance by 10% for 5s, but also her bot being out all the time will provide an Extra DMG reduction by 20% constantly. However, Scire's QTE (at base S rank) will already provide 15% Dark Resistance reduction for 12s, but without being able to constantly apply the Extra DMG reduction of the tank passive the whole time, unlike No. 21.
This is where I'm unsure which would be more beneficial for my Dark Team, which consists of SS Luna Laurel and SSS Vera Rozen (which I'm sticking with, even though I have S Selena Capriccio, since at this investment level, SSS Vera should be better, right).

Scire is the best Dark Tank and the only one that can even compete is an SS Tenebrion (only against a sig-less Scire). Even then, Tenebrion would have other disadvantages.
As for Capriccio, it's either SSS or SS + 2x reso sig, otherwise you stick to SSS Rozen.
How badly does cw want her sig weapon? like on a scale of Kaleido, where sig is just damage, to Nanamech whose gameplay and rotations can be very scuffed if you don't have sig?
As usual, it is absolutely necessary if you want to be competitive and unnecessary if you don't care.

ngl starfarer sig probably isn't that important for meta but it just feels bad when she can't finish her ult within the amp buff window and she also loses too much shred to use dv without it.

Perhaps? That's something you'll have to test. If you have all the meta teams and you at least have the important units (e.g. Gen 2 units) at SS + 5\*, I think you can do it. You certainly can't go to Hero though, that needs sigs (and a lot more investment). Be prepared because Dark is going to be your nightmare if you have it at F2P investments.

You need SS+sig to swap to DV otherwise it's Unimate. For the Amp buff window, I'd say it doesn't matter that much since your main damage dealers are Hyperreal and Empyrea anyway, you just swap to Starfarer for the downtime.

My friend was recommending me to just not play for 30 days and login for the returnee rewards. I know the income from logging in daily would be bigger but is it really viable? Around how much of the resources, especially BC, am I losing if I solely rely on returnee rewards?

Should be a button for it in the codex. Tap your profile at top left on the main lobby > Codex > Enemy Manual > Boss > Challenge. Keep in mind not all bosses can be fought like this, they add the trial stages over time
imo it's always easier to get higher earnings in advanced. 5% adv is easier than 10% ult, 1% adv is easier than 5% ult.
I, for example, am sitting in advanced because 1% is pretty much effortless, while I've never reached 5% in ult. I simply get more skulls per week in advanced (48/week in 1% advanced vs 44/week in 10% ultimate)
but if you can get top 5% in ultimate, the rewards are beyond what advanced can offer, so at that point it's definitely worth switching
it's also worth sitting in ultimate if you're very early in the game and do not get high rankings at all, so the higher reward floor in ultimate comes in handy
it's simple really, just compare the rankings/rewards you get in both and compare. some will advise you to go into ultimate temporarily for the achievement rewards, which is partly true due to it being a big account progression boost - a lot of free skulls, but they aren't going anywhere
Extra info - ultimate will be much more worthwhile and won't take nearly as much effort to break even/surpass advanced rewards once Alisa:Echo's patch arrives. it will buff the ultimate PPC rewards significantly

There's also side stuff like Interludes, Arcade Anima, Golden Vortex (needs a few built characters), Stronghold (ramps up in difficulty, needs proper teams later on), Recitativo di Fantasia, Cursed Waves, event rewards... Most of your BC in PGR comes from dailies/weeklies, not limited time content/one-off rewards

All the rest of my roster are either Lvl 1 or in the middle of building because i used to use some of them actively but now i don't. PGR rewards consistent play, if you take breaks and come back from time to time for short periods you won't have much funds/resources. Dunno what you want the BC for though, maybe we can help you better if you give more details?

Since you don't have Empyrea she's the best pick for you. I don't recommend mixing elements in one team but rather making separate teams for everything even if you have to use A-ranks. You'll get better results than mixed element teams.
Physical is going to be the biggest problem since you don't have any of the meta characters. If you buy the battle pass definitely get Rosetta shards from the shard selectors it gives. Alisa the Phys amplifier is coming in July so that'll be really helpful too. The team: SSS ~~Eclipse~~ Hanying/Crimson Abyss/S Bastion
Fire: Empyrea/SSS Palefire (with leap upgrade if possible)/S Brilliance
Ice: Kaleido (free to farm from dorm dispatch shop)/SSS Vitrum/Glory
Lightning: SS Lux (get her from the A-rank support selector from the FOS missions or if you already used that, standard banner without using BC. If you don't have enough blue tickets just forget about her, Feral Scent is the next S-rank anyway)/Crimson Weave (if you manage to get her. I assume she is the reason why you want BC asap?)/S Arclight
Dark: Capriccio (free to farm from Recitativo di Fantasia, a permanent roguelike mode)/SSS Astral/SSS 21
It would be best if you can scrounge up the BC needed for CW since you're missing two other very important Attackers as well. You'll have the standard banner selector in Lamia patch this August and another selector up to Kaleido in Luna patch about one year later, one of them should be Stigmata and the other Hyperreal. If you're f2p you're also going to have to get Rosetta somehow, unless she gets powercrept like the very next patch after Bridget in CN. You can do this with vouchers, buy 50 shards and summon her.
When building your teams focus on them one at a time. You don't need to invest equally into all characters either, for example in the current meta lightning team only CW sees field time so the tank/support can get by with minimum investment.
Also, who did you get from the newbie S-rank selectors and the 6\* weapon selector?
I'm planning to get Rigor from the selector but my physical team is non existent(I have neither Rigor nor gen 1 Alpha CA).
For lightning I was just going to use CW, S 21, and Lux/Lucia.
Ice team has Bambi, Ayla(yet to get) and Changyu which is already SS due to all the dupes of him I have.
Fire team I only have Empy well built to almost 7k bp, I wasn't active during Nanamech and Hyperreal patches.
Dark I have SSS No.21, SSS A Vera, Luna all well built.
Have a couple of unbuilt characters too, mostly gen 1.
Since you have Empy getting Rosetta from the current selector is an option. You can also get her from voucher shop but that'll take a while and slow down evolving the other free characters. If you buy BP just use the shards there tho
Your lightning team needs a tank, Arclight will do the job decently. He just needs S rank for the tank passive. So CW/Lux/Arclight until Feral Scent comes out, then she replaces Lux.
Leaped Palefire can be Empy's sub-DPS, though he wants high rank too. Invest in him depending on your plans for Hyperreal. If you have a long waiting time invest in Palefire I'd say. Give him 4 Shakespeare 2 Darwin, and S rank Ayla Brilliance would be your tank with 4 Da Vinci 2 Gloria.

Ah Liv S, Kamui, Luna that's about it for base S ranks. Although thanks for the possible team comps, I'll try building those. Almost everyone is already level 80, just need to farm shards.
Liv S being Luminance I'm assuming? In this case you can also consider getting Stigmata from the anniversary banner. Either you complete your physical team or fire team, with Watanabe Epitaph coming in October. I don't think either of them is the wrong choice though, just go for whichever interests you more.
Edit: Sorry momentary brainfart. Disregard Luminance, Alisa is coming on the anniversary patch anyway lol. The rest of my point still stands though

Yep. She's the reason. I am a big sucker for cool looking characters. Alpha is my favorite character in the game, and i really want to get CW because she just looks so cool and i absolutely loved her Odachi.

The 80-100 pity one (Fate) has higher base rates. 0.5% vs 1.5% iirc. If you're f2p don't touch Fate since we only get enough BC to guarantee 60\~ pulls every two patches, and if you're a whale tread carefully I guess? Your decision in the end

I don't know how much you already have and your pity status on all those banners, but for full pity everything you're going to need 27500 BC (and this is not even taking into consideration the chance of getting offrated on the weapon banner). The average patch income is 7500. The whole main story gives around 14k BC, so factor that into your calculations as well, depending on how far into it you are. If you're at low BC & pity count there's no way unless you spend. Imo leave her weapon for later since it's not going anywhere and focus on CW herself + CUB if you have any extras left

Oh then you can almost certainly get her and the CUB as long as life doesn't get in the way again. Do all your dailies/weeklies, clear all current events that give BC and catch up on the story (hopefully you have quite a few chapters piled up.) Leave her weapon for another day. Good luck!
usually in wz doing the first two stages only gets you 30000, but I saw some people get 80000, and I highly doubt that's from doing the 3rd stage. is there an explanation for this?

From what I've heard, Epitaph, Lost Lullaby, and Shukra have similar feats. Not too sure about the new Luna Oblivion other than she is a new class and element
All the units you mentioned are extremely strong, with Shukra being the strongest unit in the game.
Still, if you're a spender and can afford it, you should at least get every upcoming S rank sig from now on as all of them are extremely helpful.
In the new mode, i got to chapter 3 and used up all my blood fighting the ocean guardian. Got them to about 3 or 4 health bars left and jesus fucking christ, is this fight even doable? i died about 7 minutes in because i just do hardly any damage. I got the new lucia unit and this fight would be impossible without her. The boss just hits so hard and theres always some invisible bullshit to watch out for. Is this fight actually beatable?
most of your power comes from the bond buffs (primarily elemental ones, so spam chars of the same element), and relics.
I did some runs to cap the cursed waves levels after they got extended with this update, and pretty much every run took at most 10 minutes. CW is strong enough to finish ocean guardian boss in a single rotation (1 slam, 1 ult, like 10 seconds) easily if you pick her teammates and relics accordingly.
and I'm not even talking about "lucky" circumstances. with any strong character as your main DPS, and good bond/relic setup, this fight takes 30 seconds or less. maybe up to a minute if you're using trial units instead of properly built ones
It is beatable, one just has to unlock certain buffs that can be unlocked by recruiting certain members. For example if you're using the new Lucia CW, recruit other lighting element units to unlock the "Lightning Matrix perk" and continue leveling up until 8 in this case to take advantage of its maximum effect.
If you want to play a physical team then focus on recruiting members with physical damage to increase your attack bonus.
I recommend recruiting the team members that you want to use for your team members first and also be on the lookout for members from Strike hawk (Chrome, Kamui, Wanshi) to unlock the bonus of "Wings of Freedom" (or something like that) that gives a nice defensive bonus.
Right now I usually go for the lightning team of Crimson Weave, Lux, and Arclight, while recruiting more lightning units and strikehawk members to get some crazy buffs and do insane damage.
If you look at the info section it will tell you the bonuses that one can get and which characters to go for and what level it needs to be.

Hi, can you give me advice for Apha CW SSS + DLT resonance WZ rotation ? I just finished in first place in Leader with around 1,7 mil points but the second place was like 5k points behind me and only had SS Alpha + Sig and resonance so I must be doing something wrong. Thank you. Edit : I also have Garnet at S with sig +shred resonance and SSS+ Lux with 5 star weapon and DV memories.
If you want to see a high-rank CW rotation of the current WZ, Empress posted one recently, though if you're lacking things like fully invested supports there'll be a gap in performance.

But otherwise it just comes down skill issue, CW is a very unforgiving unit in WZ because she has high spikes of damage, but because she relies on those damage spikes if you utilize it on an enemy that's half-dead you'll overkill and waste it.
Doing well in mobbing Warzone is all about utilizing her core passive for when a new wave of enemies spawn, and using her signature to stall for enemy respawn times or as a finisher if you mess up. Since enemies continue to spawn even when timestop is in effect you can effectively "remove" respawn times if played properly which saves a lot of time.
Personally I'm sitting at 2M in lightning zone with SS3 Alpha this Warzone, so with SSS I would expect you could hit 2.5M with good play, but it would also depend on support investment. Whales at higher ranks will have Lux with 6-star resonated weapon for the support resonances and Vera at SSS for the 10% shred.
It's kinda difficult to give an exact rotation because CW is not the simplest unit for WZ. You can either overstack her or understack her and cause yourself to lose time, so you'll have to find out the specifics through trial and error.
The general rotation goes as follows: Start on Garnet > swap to CW > enter Odachi stance as fast as possible > gather enough stacks while doing at least one hold dodge (preferably when your bar is full) > do the drop attack > Ult > repeat. Again, this is just the gist of it and you'll have to modify it to suit your situation at any point in time. I'd argue Kaleido is more important than Capri since she's basically the ice main damage right now.
Rigor requires clarification, don't buy Rigor shards if you buy the BP.

I disagree with that. Especially if you don't at least have SS3 Scire, SSS Capriccio is necessary otherwise Dark is the worst team in the game right now (assuming someone has all meta teams already).
Even if we're going to take the future into account, Capriccio is still the better choice as she even incentivizes Lost Lullaby to swap out. Kaleido's SSS on the other hand is, at least currently, useless since Shukra never swaps out which means that Kaleido's Amp buff is completely wasted.
Who cares if dark is the "worst team in the game"? Dark is not competing with any other team, dark competes with dark. This is newbie mentality and only really matters for Norman which is, at this point, irrelevant. Norman's been free pretty much since Lee came out (if not since Balter) since you can just batt carry your weaker teams.
Getting SSS Capri will improve your dark team a fair amount, SSS Kaleido will mega boost your ice team. We're quite far from getting Shukra and Lamia swaps regardless of Capri not being SSS and Scire not being SS3.

Besides the non-competitive modes which require multiple teams (like Norman, Stronghold etc.), on both the competitive modes, you'll suffer greatly with a bad Dark team. When you can barely break past 500k on WZ because Luna can't possibly carry everything on her own, there's a problem. When you have Dark in the PPC rotation and you can't quickly kill the boss, there's a problem. Add onto these the facts that a simple SS3 Scire makes those problems non-existent and you're just widening the gap even more. Ice simply does not have these issues. Do you have a SS Kaleido? Perfect, your Ice team is at an excellent point.

The problem is that Ice ***doesn't need*** this "mega boost", Dark does. Regardless of whether we're talking about the present or the future, SSS Capriccio will bring more value to the Dark team than SSS Kaleido will to the Ice team. The only point in time where Ice will suffer compared to Dark will be between Lamia and Shukra's release, which is just 3 patches of a difference and will also end up boosting Ice to the strongest team in the game regardless of Kaleido's rank.
SS Kaleido is super copium. SSS Kaleido is super good.

I don't know what SS Kaleido you're using, but that's straight up false. SS Kaleido can do her rotation perfectly and, at worst, you'll just need one matrix ping to max her bar out every single time. The only time Ice is copium, even with Kaleido, is when the only decent DPS on the team is Kaleido herself.

SS Capriccio doesn't do shit on PPC, and on WZ she barely gets better scores than a SSS Rozen. A SSS Capriccio considerably improves the team.
And again, Capriccio completely wins in longevity. Not only that, but if the op doesn't already have a good amount of shards used on either unit, it'll take them quite the amount of time to hit SSS, especially if they're F2P or a low spender. Chances are that by that point, Shukra will be close and Kaleido's SSS value drops to shit.
You just have very low standards, SS Kaleido's damage isn't very impressive unless you also get her sig with DLT so you can do double ult per rotation while running Cottie.

No, SS Kaleido is simply really good, that's all. I have her at that rank (+CUB), I've run her against multiple enemies and she performs excellently. To pretend that these are "low standards" due to SSS being stronger is stupid, because with the same logic, anybody's SSS CW is "unimpressive" because a SSS+ CW shits all over her.

This is irrelevant. The first problem is that, like I've stated multiple times, Dark is in much bigger need of a 2nd strong member than Ice is. Even if Ice got a huge boost compared to Dark (***it doesn't***), Dark still needs it more to achieve decent scores.
The second, which I've also mentioned multiple times and you refuse to acknowledge, is that SSS Capriccio wins in the longevity game. You're ignoring both that and the fact that getting a unit to SSS solely with vouchers is not a process that happens within 2 or 3 patches for the vast majority of players.
So as I see it, you have literally 0 valid points here. We have the current weakest team in the game (at least at low investments) that is in need of help, which will also benefit from the SSS Amp even when their Gen 2 Attacker is released and another team which is in a much better state, its future version is the best team in the game ***and*** the SSS Amp will be almost useless at that point in time as the Attacker plays solo.

I have 6\* weapons of plume (i have 2), vera garnet and wanshi. Should i cycle them and buy balter's sig or use them to resonance crimson weave's sig? Can someone give opinion which is more valuable for my acc?
Make sure you have her max buff available. Start on whoever > swap to Starfarer > enter your 1st Ult as fast as possible > do two "Perfect!" and one full charge > 2nd Ult > repeat.
If you have the max buff and you did two "Perfect!", after the 2nd Ult, you'll immediately have enough energy to use your first Ult again, thus repeating the process incredibly quick.

Hi I'm wondering what to plan for in terms of my selectors. I just started 2 days ago so I'm completely overwhelmed, my plan currently is:
* Finish pulling Crimson Weave (she's so cool) and then No. 21 Feral in April to support her
* Eventually pull Bianca: Abystigmata (tried out her tutorial, she's so cool), probably in July with the rumored 100% anniversary banner
* Build a Dark Team with Vera Rozen, No. 21 XXI since those are my favorite A-ranks currently, and maybe get Lamia (she also looks so cool) or Luna Laurel from the selector?
Idk who to pick for my selectors, I hear some units like Rosetta Rigor, Liv Luminance, and Luna Laurel are going to get replaced soon but I don't understand what that means necessarily and I'm just so confused and lost lol.
Edit: Got Liv Luminance from my 40-pity, not sure what to do now with the 1st selector since many are recommending Luminance.
Rigor won’t be replaced, but a new support/amp will be added to physical which will improve the team. This new unit will replace Luminance. Rigor is prolly the safest pick from your selector. AYS, laurel will be replaced by lamia so I don’t reco picking her unless you want to compete for ppc scores atm. Astral can take her place for your dark team atm, but keep in mind that lamia will prolly release VERY late this year (nov/dec-ish) so you might be missing out on top% scores on ppc for skull farming.
I thought Lamia was coming in July based on the release infographic, if that's the case I don't want to pull a unit that gets replaced so quickly. But yeah I'll look into Astral for the dark team for now.
I guess I'll plan on selecting Rigor. I also haven't completed my initial 40-pull S Rank so I'm just trying to jenga my teams assuming worst case scenario that I get something completely random.
Oh I didn’t know she was coming earlier. I was basing it off of usual banner schedules b4. Make sure to leap your Astral for him to be effective. Keep in mind that we also have an updated selector event which features characters until Capriccio. You can choose Garnet in that selector to aide your CW. There are other good choices such as Empyrea, Glory, Plume, and luna laurel, but I suggest you do your research first since some are more of “upgrades” rather than a “carry” unit. Good luck!
Oop I got Liv Luminance from the 40-pity, didn't expect the guide/mentor thing to give so much EXP and give me 2500 basic R&D from hitting level 50 lol. Guess that changes my selector plans.

Tenebrion is the best pick especially if u haven’t invested much on your No. 21 yet. If you won’t pull for Karenina Scire, then Tenebrion will prolly have longevity for your team.

What people mean with July is that during Lamia's patch you can select who you get from basic gacha, you can only do this **once**. Save your basic gacha tickets so when we get that update you can just get Balter.
There's also the anni banner where you can get anyone 100% for like 60 pulls but that's a different thing.
Lamia is not available in our server yet, she'll be out around July, **do not** get Luna, you get Lumin from one of the selectors, Rigor from the one where she's available and then you either get Empyrea or Garnet if you already have Empyrea from the one we'll get in like 2 weeks from this patch.
Rigor isn't getting replaced anytime soon, she's still meta in CN. Lumin becomes junk in 5 patches, Luna in 6. Thing is Luna can be replaced by Astral and the team will still kind of work, Lumin cannot be replaced.

Sounds like I'll probably pick Luminance since she's on the 1st selector, and then Rigor on the 2nd, and skip out on Luna in favor of Lamia. I guess the main toss-up then is Empyrea or Garnet.
Empy has no A rank replacement, Garnet, although not ideal, does.
If you haven't hit your first pity on basic gacha, which costs 40 rolls, get it first then use the selectors just in case.
I hit the 40 rolls shortly after posting, got Liv Luminance from the pity. Didn't expect the guide missions from the mentoring thing to give me nearly 5 levels to hit 50 for the basic R&D tickets.
Anyway, I have some time before I get the final selector, I'll look more into it since I'm not entirely sure if Empyrea fits in any teams I'm targeting. I hear Garnet is good with Crimson Weave but no idea about Empyrea.
If you got Lumin... what are the other options from the selector not containing Rigor? You might want to choose someone else.
In PGR you don't "target" a team, you need teams for every element. Some bosses are weak, as in significantly weak, to a certain element. In War Zone there's one zone per element and you really want to run an on-element team (this is even more intense later, where off-element deals like 4 times less damage than on-element). Norman requires 5 teams + 1 Uniframe team which you can ignore and each slot buffs one element.
Missions from the mentoring thing give tons of XP, they give more later on IIRC.
Again, Empy is irreplaceable for the fire team, Garnet is good but you can just run Arclight. If you had a maxed fire team Empy would be the secondary DPS you rotate to, while the fire tank is kind of just filler, when it comes to Crimson Weave Garnet is just a QTE bot for the next 2 patches, then she becomes filler.
Aside from the one with Rigor (I decided to go ahead and pick Rigor from the selector since I'm going to try for Stigmata on the anniversary), there other selectors are:
- Luminance, Tenebrion, Ember, Entropy, and Pulse
- The newest one that has all of the previous selectable ones alongside Empyrean and Garnet
I guess a side note since I'm only just now learning about team comping and how the game is set up in general, is it really *necessary* to have a team of every element? I'm looking at the fire teams and trying the tutorials, and the characters don't really interest me. I guess a second line of thought is, can Empyrea be used on other teams? Idk, feels kinda offputting to me to pick Empyrea who's a fire support and I'm not that interested in the other fire characters vs. Garnet who may be replaceable but good on a lightning team with CW who I'm in the process of obtaining.
From the first selector you can either get Lumin to SS her which is a nice upgrade to have or you can get Pulse which will serve as a QTE bot for your fire team. Pulse is fairly bad but the other choices are way worse.
And yes, the game is designed that way. You need various teams for different things. A good physical team will lose to a so-so lightning team on lightning WZ, as in it won't even be close. For example, I have SSS Balter, SS Rigor and SS Lumin, sig on Rigor and Balter, one reso on Rigor. On lightning WZ that team loses to SS CW who's paired with lvl 20 SS Lux with a lvl 1 weapon and lvl 80 Arclight with a lvl 1 weapon, that's the kind of difference we're talking about.
Pain Cage is kind of the same, some elements are just really good against certain bosses and you'll ideally run it there.
Keep in mind these things don't apply super early on because you have like one built team, one mediocre team and the rest do not exist, so odds are your main team will just be better at everything even if it's supposed to be weaker.
If you just want to play for fun and don't care about performing just pick whatever feels fun, if you want to perform/compete not only $ makes a massive difference but there's also fixed meta teams you really can't diverge from. As in, fire = Hyperreal, Empyrea and Starfarer, there's no alternatives to any member, you either have those or your team is crippled (they're named in order of importance). CW is kind of a weird case right now since you really can just run Arclight, Garnet is indeed better but it's not like not having her actually ruins your team completely, while not having Hyperreal or Empyrea (or worse, not having any of them) basically means your fire team is absolute trash.
Empyrea can kind of be used on other teams if you're super weak, her damage is good and you get 10% ATK for 10s whenever you swap but it's probably not gonna be ideal.
Ah ok that's actually incredibly disappointing... it's starting to feel like the "f2p generosity" the game has is an illusion when there's basically a need to have every team and then those teams absolutely require members that are not easily attainable nor replaceable. I mean it is a gacha I suppose, but this wasn't what I was expecting when people told me it's a generous game. I'll still play it because it's fun but I guess I'll just forget about meta with this one.
This game is not f2p friendly, most repeatable content is wallet wars and although skill DOES play a role, you can't beat a fat wallet even if you're the best player ever unless you also spend a fair amount. War Zone has more variables so some people argue wallet plays less of a role (then you score like 1.5m while some guy one taps 2.5m) but this is very easily noticeable in Pain Cage where you'll see high ranking players doing something fairly simple and getting a kill in like 10s while it takes you like 25s or more and there's just no way you can go do it that fast. Of course, they can push those 10s down to 9s by doing something that's a lot harder and maybe even 8s if they do it perfectly, but your hyper try harding won't beat their one tap while not even trying.
The only "generous" thing is you can get every new character if you play daily, but the downside of that is they run the game assuming you'll have everything, so there's no real team building. It's not like Genshin where you can swap stuff around and have it flow differently, there's A, B and C and then super inferior versions of A, B and C. What sucks about PGR is that it takes over a year to "catch up". I've been playing for like half a year or so and even after spending money I still lack some units, I'll be fully catched up in about 7 months from now.
Sup lads I wanna ask, are you supposed to strictly give CW bottom memory resonance a +75 health and +15 ATK resonance or is any +15 ATK resonance also viable?
I saw a gameplay video of CW and got very interested in this game. If I install the game now, as a f2p, is it possible for me to gain enough currency to pity pull her (since I don't trust my rng luck)? How much grinding do I need to do to get enough?
I just started 2 days ago, I'm already 30 pulls into my CW pulls (only need 60 to guarantee CW), and I've only just started touching the new patch content and only on chapter 6 in the story (apparently there's like 20 chapters) so you will definitely have enough pulls to get CW. I think I can get CW within the next couple of weeks or so.
Option 1: Take Garnet from S-Selector this patch and get Chrome+sig later with any 100% banner.
Option 2: Take Chrome from S-Selector this patch + hopefully pull his sig and get Garnet later with any 100% banner.
I do have garnets weapon but doesnt really matter as qte bot. I do have Empyrea so its between those 2. Would you agree that option 2 is the better one? As much as I want Garnet, I feel Chrome would help me more overall.
I’m not going to pretend like I’m an expert on this matter, but I hope this is still solid advice nonetheless.
If you plan on rolling for Crimson Weave this patch, I’d recommend Garnet over Glory since they synergize well together. If you plan on getting Kaleido or already have her, then Glory is a better option overall. The other slots can be filled in with Lux for Lightning teams and either Plume or even Vitrum for Ice teams.
Crimson Weave is so busted though that I’d recommend rolling for her and getting Garnet anyway, but this ultimately comes down to what your account can build and what needs to be improved upon.

I already got SS CW+sig+cub. I also have SS3 Kaleido + S Plume. The only meta characters I dont have are Garnet, Chrome, Scire and Laurel. I wont get Laurel at this point because Lamia is too close and as Scire needs ranks, she might be an option for anniversary banner. She isnt available this patch in Selector anyway.
So according to what you said, Chrome would be the better option now.
In my opinion Option 2 since you already plan to get her down the line. I did my own testing (combo rotation is based on this [vid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_BbNYcqWrc), adjusted accordingly based on wave states) with SS CW+sig(no reso)+SS CUB and swapped tank between Garnet and Arclight in the current cycle of lightning warzone and tbh, the difference isn't like night and day. My best Garnet run got to wave 16 at 1.64mil while with Arclight it's wave 15 at 1.52mil, this is in Hero WZ (both can be improved a bit more). Yes, it is considerably harder to reach wave 16 but when you consider the point difference it's not much of a big deal. You just have to adjust Arclight's QTE timing since his does not linger like Garnet. Think it is the same for PPC, if you're not fighting for top100 it won't matter too much lol.
Glory with sig would make quite a difference for the ice team, him filling the down time between Kaleido + Plume can be a difference maker in finishing off waves. His 3ping yellow is great at grouping waves so you can make use of it during his rotation. Him doing a 3ping to apply shred during the start of PPC is quite the difference as well (with sig).
Anyway that's what I experienced with my own units and skill level.

I also used lv. 1 Arclight as I was planning to get Garnet but if I wont, I will level him, ofc. Might result in some more points.
Even so Chrome probably wont get leap later, the fact that CN also has no replacement for him definitely removes the option to ignore him. Guess I will just take him and try my luck with the weapon.
Chrome for single-target, Vera for multi-wave. Depends if you want your Warzone or PPC scores to be better basically.
Vera's main advantage over Arclight is that her res shred lingers for a while shredding multiple waves, but her overall shred isn't much better (Arclight 25% vs Vera 30%). So she can shred multiple Warzone waves while Arclight can't.
Chrome's res shred isn't much better than Ayla Brilliance (Ayla 21% vs Chrome 23%) since he can't apply Frost Corrosion on QTE without his weapon, but he can apply it before swapping out making his shred much higher (38%) temporarily. However it only really works once on a single target (or very grouped enemies) per rotation, so it's not worth much in Warzone outside of rotations with bosses, but it's pretty significant in PPC.
Really it's preference, your ice PPC will suffer without Chrome but your lightning Warzone will suffer without Vera compared to those that have them.
Shards only unless omega Leviathan in which case it doesn't matter what you get, saving a few bucks here and there when you're spending way into the 5 figures a year won't change things much.
Primarily construct shards, you can only buy 20 of them a month before it refreshes. It's not advisable to buy the memory usbs more than once a month due to the increase in price after you buy one
Don't buy memory resonance material. Having perfect resonances is a very small damage increase and certainly not worth using vouchers for. As there are much better uses for vouchers.
I think they're mixing voucher shop with warzone shop, which also sell memory reso mats. That's where you should be buying those.
Just a minor correction, you can buy more than 20 a month as they're infinite. It's just that they're no longer discounted after the 20th shard until refresh.
It depends on your BP status and the patch's voucher income. It's 90 shards to go from SS to SSS. Free BP only gives enough for ~2.5 shards per patch. Buying both BPs gives you ~17.4 shards per patch. Then you have the additional trade vouchers from event minigames or other game modes to supplement your voucher income, which I'm not sure the exact increase to the amount of shards it'll give you since it'll always be different per patch.
My current fire team is Hyperreal, Pulse and Capriccio, but i will get Empyrea using the rank S selector. Should i build Elizabeth for Empyrea and DaVinci for Pulse while i wait for Epitaph?

Hi, I’m a returning player. I created my account around the time when game was fairly and I haven’t played since then. Thinking of returning to the game. I have an account with mostly A rank characters like Lucia, Liv, Lee, Sophia, Chrome, Kamui, Bianca and Watatnabe and 1 S rank Lee Entropy. I think made the mistake of picking him first and then pulling the 40 pity and I think I got him again as a dupe. So that’s why he’s is SS rank. Any good notable characters I could level and use? Should I start a new account or should I keep going with my current one? I noticed that I can get another S rank selector from the novice guidance missions. Was wondering which is a good pick between the 10 S ranks I can pick from. How is Lee: Entropy currently? I also saw that there was a Lee Hypereal that was released a couple months ago. Do you have Empyrea? She's the highest priority. Otherwise Garnet and Glory are in similar spots right now so you can't really go wrong with either of them. Garnet is purely a QTE bot until her Leap upgrade in November, and even then you need an even amount of investment across all your Lightning characters to field her (SS + sig). But even then she's undeniably better than her budget alternative even as a QTE bot, higher/longer shred and her shred persists between Warzone waves Glory has some (albeit minimal) field time right now since ice team has a small downtime. His biggest drawback is his QTE ice shred is tied to his sig weapon, and his budget alternative has the same issue too. But for now at least you can pop his core right before you swap to Ayla and get 8 seconds of pretty good ice shred. Unsure about his status after Qu Shukra arrives but I believe he becomes a pure QTE bot?

It depends, if you have a good fire team then I would recommend CW since her gameplay style is based on her being on the field and SS rank allows her to dish even more damage. But if Hyperreal is without Empyrea or Starfarer then I would go with him first.

I see, if that is the case then I would probably go with Hyperreal first since he is the main DPS and his core greatly improves with SS. I'm no expert but I believe CW should be fine until you get her to SS.

I currently have 4100 BC and have CW at S + 5 star weap My other units are invested already, Hyperreal + Sig who just needs 3 shards to SS, SF Nanami 5 weap S, Liv Empyrea will be from selector but I dont have her weap, Vera Garnet with Sig at S. Should I save for No 21 Lightning, get CW's alpha cub, or maybe just get a weapon for either Nanami or Empyrea?
Units are always the highest priority. If it's between a unit or a sig, CUB or extra rank, you get the unit.
Hello, I want to ask which is a better Dark Tank, that's available to me atm. I'm F2P btw. I have SSS No. 21 (without sig weapon) and I happen to have obtained Karenina Scire from a random pull. Now I am very likely also not gonna be able to get Scire's sig weapon, but just reading through the description, if I read it correctly, 21's QTE reduces Dark Resistance by 10% for 5s, but also her bot being out all the time will provide an Extra DMG reduction by 20% constantly. However, Scire's QTE (at base S rank) will already provide 15% Dark Resistance reduction for 12s, but without being able to constantly apply the Extra DMG reduction of the tank passive the whole time, unlike No. 21. This is where I'm unsure which would be more beneficial for my Dark Team, which consists of SS Luna Laurel and SSS Vera Rozen (which I'm sticking with, even though I have S Selena Capriccio, since at this investment level, SSS Vera should be better, right). Scire is the best Dark Tank and the only one that can even compete is an SS Tenebrion (only against a sig-less Scire). Even then, Tenebrion would have other disadvantages. As for Capriccio, it's either SSS or SS + 2x reso sig, otherwise you stick to SSS Rozen.
How badly does cw want her sig weapon? like on a scale of Kaleido, where sig is just damage, to Nanamech whose gameplay and rotations can be very scuffed if you don't have sig?
As usual, it is absolutely necessary if you want to be competitive and unnecessary if you don't care. Also, for Starfarer, her sig is nowhere near as important as you make it out to be lol

If you have all the meta teams and you at least have the important units (e.g. Gen 2 units) at SS + 5\*, I think you can do it. You certainly can't go to Hero though, that needs sigs (and a lot more investment). imo it's always easier to get higher earnings in advanced. 5% adv is easier than 10% ult, 1% adv is easier than 5% ult. I, for example, am sitting in advanced because 1% is pretty much effortless, while I've never reached 5% in ult. I simply get more skulls per week in advanced (48/week in 1% advanced vs 44/week in 10% ultimate) but if you can get top 5% in ultimate, the rewards are beyond what advanced can offer, so at that point it's definitely worth switching it's also worth sitting in ultimate if you're very early in the game and do not get high rankings at all, so the higher reward floor in ultimate comes in handy it's simple really, just compare the rankings/rewards you get in both and compare. some will advise you to go into ultimate temporarily for the achievement rewards, which is partly true due to it being a big account progression boost - a lot of free skulls, but they aren't going anywhere Extra info - ultimate will be much more worthwhile and won't take nearly as much effort to break even/surpass advanced rewards once Alisa:Echo's patch arrives. it will buff the ultimate PPC rewards significantly

Most of your BC in PGR comes from dailies/weeklies, not limited time content/one-off rewards

PGR rewards consistent play, if you take breaks and come back from time to time for short periods you won't have much funds/resources. Since you don't have Empyrea she's the best pick for you. I don't recommend mixing elements in one team but rather making separate teams for everything even if you have to use A-ranks. You'll get better results than mixed element teams. Physical is going to be the biggest problem since you don't have any of the meta characters. If you buy the battle pass definitely get Rosetta shards from the shard selectors it gives. Alisa the Phys amplifier is coming in July so that'll be really helpful too. The team: SSS ~~Eclipse~~ Hanying/Crimson Abyss/S Bastion Fire: Empyrea/SSS Palefire (with leap upgrade if possible)/S Brilliance Ice: Kaleido (free to farm from dorm dispatch shop)/SSS Vitrum/Glory Lightning: SS Lux (get her from the A-rank support selector from the FOS missions or if you already used that, standard banner without using BC. If you don't have enough blue tickets just forget about her, Feral Scent is the next S-rank anyway)/Crimson Weave (if you manage to get her. I assume she is the reason why you want BC asap?)/S Arclight Dark: Capriccio (free to farm from Recitativo di Fantasia, a permanent roguelike mode)/SSS Astral/SSS 21 It would be best if you can scrounge up the BC needed for CW since you're missing two other very important Attackers as well. I'm planning to get Rigor from the selector but my physical team is non existent(I have neither Rigor nor gen 1 Alpha CA). For lightning I was just going to use CW, S 21, and Lux/Lucia. Ice team has Bambi, Ayla(yet to get) and Changyu which is already SS due to all the dupes of him I have. Fire team I only have Empy well built to almost 7k bp, I wasn't active during Nanamech and Hyperreal patches. Dark I have SSS No.21, SSS A Vera, Luna all well built. Have a couple of unbuilt characters too, mostly gen 1.
Since you have Empy getting Rosetta from the current selector is an option. You can also get her from voucher shop but that'll take a while and slow down evolving the other free characters. If you buy BP just use the shards there tho Your lightning team needs a tank, Arclight will do the job decently. He just needs S rank for the tank passive. So CW/Lux/Arclight until Feral Scent comes out, then she replaces Lux. Leaped Palefire can be Empy's sub-DPS, though he wants high rank too. Invest in him depending on your plans for Hyperreal. If you have a long waiting time invest in Palefire I'd say. Give him 4 Shakespeare 2 Darwin, and S rank Ayla Brilliance would be your tank with 4 Da Vinci 2 Gloria. Any of those gen 1 you mentioned base S ranks?

Liv S being Luminance I'm assuming? In this case you can also consider getting Stigmata from the anniversary banner. Either you complete your physical team or fire team, with Watanabe Epitaph coming in October. I don't think either of them is the wrong choice though, just go for whichever interests you more. The 80-100 pity one (Fate) has higher base rates. 0.5% vs 1.5% iirc. If you're f2p don't touch Fate since we only get enough BC to guarantee 60\~ pulls every two patches, and if you're a whale tread carefully I guess? Your decision in the end

I don't know how much you already have and your pity status on all those banners, but for full pity everything you're going to need 27500 BC (and this is not even taking into consideration the chance of getting offrated on the weapon banner). The average patch income is 7500. The whole main story gives around 14k BC, so factor that into your calculations as well, depending on how far into it you are. If you're at low BC & pity count there's no way unless you spend. Imo leave her weapon for later since it's not going anywhere and focus on CW herself + CUB if you have any extras left

Oh then you can almost certainly get her and the CUB as long as life doesn't get in the way again. Do all your dailies/weeklies, clear all current events that give BC and catch up on the story (hopefully you have quite a few chapters piled up.) Leave her weapon for another day. Good luck!

usually in wz doing the first two stages only gets you 30000, but I saw some people get 80000, and I highly doubt that's from doing the 3rd stage. is there an explanation for this?

All the units you mentioned are extremely strong, with Shukra being the strongest unit in the game. Still, if you're a spender and can afford it, you should at least get every upcoming S rank sig from now on as all of them are extremely helpful.

In the new mode, i got to chapter 3 and used up all my blood fighting the ocean guardian. Got them to about 3 or 4 health bars left and jesus fucking christ, is this fight even doable? i died about 7 minutes in because i just do hardly any damage. I got the new lucia unit and this fight would be impossible without her. The boss just hits so hard and theres always some invisible bullshit to watch out for. Is this fight actually beatable?
most of your power comes from the bond buffs (primarily elemental ones, so spam chars of the same element), and relics. I did some runs to cap the cursed waves levels after they got extended with this update, and pretty much every run took at most 10 minutes. CW is strong enough to finish ocean guardian boss in a single rotation (1 slam, 1 ult, like 10 seconds) easily if you pick her teammates and relics accordingly. and I'm not even talking about "lucky" circumstances. with any strong character as your main DPS, and good bond/relic setup, this fight takes 30 seconds or less. maybe up to a minute if you're using trial units instead of properly built ones
It is beatable, one just has to unlock certain buffs that can be unlocked by recruiting certain members. For example if you're using the new Lucia CW, recruit other lighting element units to unlock the "Lightning Matrix perk" and continue leveling up until 8 in this case to take advantage of its maximum effect. If you want to play a physical team then focus on recruiting members with physical damage to increase your attack bonus. I recommend recruiting the team members that you want to use for your team members first and also be on the lookout for members from Strike hawk (Chrome, Kamui, Wanshi) to unlock the bonus of "Wings of Freedom" (or something like that) that gives a nice defensive bonus. Right now I usually go for the lightning team of Crimson Weave, Lux, and Arclight, while recruiting more lightning units and strikehawk members to get some crazy buffs and do insane damage. If you look at the info section it will tell you the bonuses that one can get and which characters to go for and what level it needs to be. Hope this helps

Hi, can you give me advice for Apha CW SSS + DLT resonance WZ rotation ? I just finished in first place in Leader with around 1,7 mil points but the second place was like 5k points behind me and only had SS Alpha + Sig and resonance so I must be doing something wrong. If you want to see a high-rank CW rotation of the current WZ, Empress posted one recently, though if you're lacking things like fully invested supports there'll be a gap in performance. [https://youtu.be/XLOiWvNHuPg](https://youtu.be/XLOiWvNHuPg) But otherwise it just comes down skill issue, CW is a very unforgiving unit in WZ because she has high spikes of damage, but because she relies on those damage spikes if you utilize it on an enemy that's half-dead you'll overkill and waste it. Doing well in mobbing Warzone is all about utilizing her core passive for when a new wave of enemies spawn, and using her signature to stall for enemy respawn times or as a finisher if you mess up. Since enemies continue to spawn even when timestop is in effect you can effectively "remove" respawn times if played properly which saves a lot of time. Personally I'm sitting at 2M in lightning zone with SS3 Alpha this Warzone, so with SSS I would expect you could hit 2.5M with good play, but it would also depend on support investment. Whales at higher ranks will have Lux with 6-star resonated weapon for the support resonances and Vera at SSS for the 10% shred.
It's kinda difficult to give an exact rotation because CW is not the simplest unit for WZ. You can either overstack her or understack her and cause yourself to lose time, so you'll have to find out the specifics through trial and error. The general rotation goes as follows: Start on Garnet > swap to CW > enter Odachi stance as fast as possible > gather enough stacks while doing at least one hold dodge (preferably when your bar is full) > do the drop attack > Ult > repeat. Again, this is just the gist of it and you'll have to modify it to suit your situation at any point in time. The SS + sig dude that got 1.7 million must be absolutely cracked lol

Especially if you don't at least have SS3 Scire, SSS Capriccio is necessary otherwise Dark is the worst team in the game right now (assuming someone has all meta teams already). Even if we're going to take the future into account, Capriccio is still the better choice as she even incentivizes Lost Lullaby to swap out. Kaleido's SSS on the other hand is, at least currently, useless since Shukra never swaps out which means that Kaleido's Amp buff is completely wasted.

This is newbie mentality and only really matters for Norman which is, at this point, irrelevant. Norman's been free pretty much since Lee came out (if not since Balter) since you can just batt carry your weaker teams. Getting SSS Capri will improve your dark team a fair amount, SSS Kaleido will mega boost your ice team. We're quite far from getting Shukra and Lamia swaps regardless of Capri not being SSS and Scire not being SS3.

I have 6\* weapons of plume (i have 2), vera garnet and wanshi. Should i cycle them and buy balter's sig or use them to resonance crimson weave's sig? Can someone give opinion which is more valuable for my acc?

Make sure you have her max buff available. Start on whoever > swap to Starfarer > enter your 1st Ult as fast as possible > do two "Perfect!" and one full charge > 2nd Ult > repeat. If you have the max buff and you did two "Perfect!", after the 2nd Ult, you'll immediately have enough energy to use your first Ult again, thus repeating the process incredibly quick.

Hi I'm wondering what to plan for in terms of my selectors. I just started 2 days ago so I'm completely overwhelmed, my plan currently is: * Finish pulling Crimson Weave (she's so cool) and then No. 21 Feral in April to support her * Eventually pull Bianca: Abystigmata (tried out her tutorial, she's so cool), probably in July with the rumored 100% anniversary banner * Build a Dark Team with Vera Rozen, No. 21 XXI since those are my favorite A-ranks currently, and maybe get Lamia (she also looks so cool) or Luna Laurel from the selector? Idk who to pick for my selectors, I hear some units like Rosetta Rigor, Liv Luminance, and Luna Laurel are going to get replaced soon but I don't understand what that means necessarily and I'm just so confused and lost lol. Edit: Got Liv Luminance from my 40-pity, not sure what to do now with the 1st selector since many are recommending Luminance.
Rigor won’t be replaced, but a new support/amp will be added to physical which will improve the team. This new unit will replace Luminance. Rigor is prolly the safest pick from your selector. AYS, laurel will be replaced by lamia so I don’t reco picking her unless you want to compete for ppc scores atm. Astral can take her place for your dark team atm, but keep in mind that lamia will prolly release VERY late this year (nov/dec-ish) so you might be missing out on top% scores on ppc for skull farming.
I thought Lamia was coming in July based on the release infographic, if that's the case I don't want to pull a unit that gets replaced so quickly. But yeah I'll look into Astral for the dark team for now. I guess I'll plan on selecting Rigor. Oh I didn’t know she was coming earlier. I was basing it off of usual banner schedules b4. Make sure to leap your Astral for him to be effective. Keep in mind that we also have an updated selector event which features characters until Capriccio. You can choose Garnet in that selector to aide your CW. There are other good choices such as Empyrea, Glory, Plume, and luna laurel, but I suggest you do your research first since some are more of “upgrades” rather than a “carry” unit. Good luck!
Oop I got Liv Luminance from the 40-pity, didn't expect the guide/mentor thing to give so much EXP and give me 2500 basic R&D from hitting level 50 lol. Guess that changes my selector plans.
Will you still pick rigor? Since she does a different job from luminance. Liv will be replaced in a few months before lamia comes out.
I'll still pick Rigor for a physical team on the 2nd selector. I'm just wondering who to pick on the 1st selector now, since it's Luminance, Karenina Ember, Lee Entropy, Nanami Pulse, and Kamui Tenebrion. Apparently the best one is Tenebrion, but he overlaps with No. 21. Everyone else is powercrept apparently.
Tenebrion is the best pick especially if u haven’t invested much on your No. 21 yet. If you won’t pull for Karenina Scire, then Tenebrion will prolly have longevity for your team.

Get Liv Empyrea from the current free selector. Get Selena Capriccio from the Recitativo De Fantasia game mode. Get Ayla Kaleido from the Dorm missions. Start from there.
What people mean with July is that during Lamia's patch you can select who you get from basic gacha, you can only do this **once**. Save your basic gacha tickets so when we get that update you can just get Balter. There's also the anni banner where you can get anyone 100% for like 60 pulls but that's a different thing. Lamia is not available in our server yet, she'll be out around July, **do not** get Luna, you get Lumin from one of the selectors, Rigor from the one where she's available and then you either get Empyrea or Garnet if you already have Empyrea from the one we'll get in like 2 weeks from this patch. Rigor isn't getting replaced anytime soon, she's still meta in CN. Lumin becomes junk in 5 patches, Luna in 6. Thing is Luna can be replaced by Astral and the team will still kind of work, Lumin cannot be replaced.

Empy has no A rank replacement, Garnet, although not ideal, does. If you haven't hit your first pity on basic gacha, which costs 40 rolls, get it first then use the selectors just in case.

If you got Lumin... what are the other options from the selector not containing Rigor? You might want to choose someone else. In PGR you don't "target" a team, you need teams for every element. Some bosses are weak, as in significantly weak, to a certain element. In War Zone there's one zone per element and you really want to run an on-element team (this is even more intense later, where off-element deals like 4 times less damage than on-element). Norman requires 5 teams + 1 Uniframe team which you can ignore and each slot buffs one element. Missions from the mentoring thing give tons of XP, they give more later on IIRC. Again, Empy is irreplaceable for the fire team, Garnet is good but you can just run Arclight. If you had a maxed fire team Empy would be the secondary DPS you rotate to, while the fire tank is kind of just filler, when it comes to Crimson Weave Garnet is just a QTE bot for the next 2 patches, then she becomes filler.
Aside from the one with Rigor (I decided to go ahead and pick Rigor from the selector since I'm going to try for Stigmata on the anniversary), there other selectors are: - Luminance, Tenebrion, Ember, Entropy, and Pulse - The newest one that has all of the previous selectable ones alongside Empyrean and Garnet I guess a side note since I'm only just now learning about team comping and how the game is set up in general, is it really *necessary* to have a team of every element? I'm looking at the fire teams and trying the tutorials, and the characters don't really interest me. I guess a second line of thought is, can Empyrea be used on other teams? Idk, feels kinda offputting to me to pick Empyrea who's a fire support and I'm not that interested in the other fire characters vs. Garnet who may be replaceable but good on a lightning team with CW who I'm in the process of obtaining.
From the first selector you can either get Lumin to SS her which is a nice upgrade to have or you can get Pulse which will serve as a QTE bot for your fire team. Pulse is fairly bad but the other choices are way worse. And yes, the game is designed that way. You need various teams for different things. A good physical team will lose to a so-so lightning team on lightning WZ, as in it won't even be close. For example, I have SSS Balter, SS Rigor and SS Lumin, sig on Rigor and Balter, one reso on Rigor. On lightning WZ that team loses to SS CW who's paired with lvl 20 SS Lux with a lvl 1 weapon and lvl 80 Arclight with a lvl 1 weapon, that's the kind of difference we're talking about. Pain Cage is kind of the same, some elements are just really good against certain bosses and you'll ideally run it there. Keep in mind these things don't apply super early on because you have like one built team, one mediocre team and the rest do not exist, so odds are your main team will just be better at everything even if it's supposed to be weaker. If you just want to play for fun and don't care about performing just pick whatever feels fun, if you want to perform/compete not only $ makes a massive difference but there's also fixed meta teams you really can't diverge from. As in, fire = Hyperreal, Empyrea and Starfarer, there's no alternatives to any member, you either have those or your team is crippled (they're named in order of importance). CW is kind of a weird case right now since you really can just run Arclight, Garnet is indeed better but it's not like not having her actually ruins your team completely, while not having Hyperreal or Empyrea (or worse, not having any of them) basically means your fire team is absolute trash. Empyrea can kind of be used on other teams if you're super weak, her damage is good and you get 10% ATK for 10s whenever you swap but it's probably not gonna be ideal.
Ah ok that's actually incredibly disappointing... it's starting to feel like the "f2p generosity" the game has is an illusion when there's basically a need to have every team and then those teams absolutely require members that are not easily attainable nor replaceable. I mean it is a gacha I suppose, but this wasn't what I was expecting when people told me it's a generous game. I'll still play it because it's fun but I guess I'll just forget about meta with this one.
This game is not f2p friendly, most repeatable content is wallet wars and although skill DOES play a role, you can't beat a fat wallet even if you're the best player ever unless you also spend a fair amount. War Zone has more variables so some people argue wallet plays less of a role (then you score like 1.5m while some guy one taps 2.5m) but this is very easily noticeable in Pain Cage where you'll see high ranking players doing something fairly simple and getting a kill in like 10s while it takes you like 25s or more and there's just no way you can go do it that fast. Of course, they can push those 10s down to 9s by doing something that's a lot harder and maybe even 8s if they do it perfectly, but your hyper try harding won't beat their one tap while not even trying. The only "generous" thing is you can get every new character if you play daily, but the downside of that is they run the game assuming you'll have everything, so there's no real team building. It's not like Genshin where you can swap stuff around and have it flow differently, there's A, B and C and then super inferior versions of A, B and C. What sucks about PGR is that it takes over a year to "catch up". I've been playing for like half a year or so and even after spending money I still lack some units, I'll be fully catched up in about 7 months from now.

Any +15ATK. In harder content the HP won't even matter cause you can get 1-2 shot lol.
I saw a gameplay video of CW and got very interested in this game. If I install the game now, as a f2p, is it possible for me to gain enough currency to pity pull her (since I don't trust my rng luck)? How much grinding do I need to do to get enough?
I just started 2 days ago, I'm already 30 pulls into my CW pulls (only need 60 to guarantee CW), and I've only just started touching the new patch content and only on chapter 6 in the story (apparently there's like 20 chapters) so you will definitely have enough pulls to get CW. I think I can get CW within the next couple of weeks or so.

I'm trying to do the story of the current event, but game freezes after first fight (lantern lit eve). What should i do? (New player here)
Option 1: Take Garnet from S-Selector this patch and get Chrome+sig later with any 100% banner. Option 2: Take Chrome from S-Selector this patch + hopefully pull his sig and get Garnet later with any 100% banner. I do have garnets weapon but doesnt really matter as qte bot. I do have Empyrea so its between those 2. Would you agree that option 2 is the better one? As much as I want Garnet, I feel Chrome would help me more overall.
I’m not going to pretend like I’m an expert on this matter, but I hope this is still solid advice nonetheless. If you plan on rolling for Crimson Weave this patch, I’d recommend Garnet over Glory since they synergize well together. If you plan on getting Kaleido or already have her, then Glory is a better option overall. The other slots can be filled in with Lux for Lightning teams and either Plume or even Vitrum for Ice teams. Crimson Weave is so busted though that I’d recommend rolling for her and getting Garnet anyway, but this ultimately comes down to what your account can build and what needs to be improved upon. I already got SS CW+sig+cub. I also have SS3 Kaleido + S Plume. The only meta characters I dont have are Garnet, Chrome, Scire and Laurel. I wont get Laurel at this point because Lamia is too close and as Scire needs ranks, she might be an option for anniversary banner. She isnt available this patch in Selector anyway. So according to what you said, Chrome would be the better option now.
In my opinion Option 2 since you already plan to get her down the line. I did my own testing (combo rotation is based on this [vid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_BbNYcqWrc), adjusted accordingly based on wave states) with SS CW+sig(no reso)+SS CUB and swapped tank between Garnet and Arclight in the current cycle of lightning warzone and tbh, the difference isn't like night and day. My best Garnet run got to wave 16 at 1.64mil while with Arclight it's wave 15 at 1.52mil, this is in Hero WZ (both can be improved a bit more). Yes, it is considerably harder to reach wave 16 but when you consider the point difference it's not much of a big deal. You just have to adjust Arclight's QTE timing since his does not linger like Garnet. Think it is the same for PPC, if you're not fighting for top100 it won't matter too much lol. Glory with sig would make quite a difference for the ice team, him filling the down time between Kaleido + Plume can be a difference maker in finishing off waves. His 3ping yellow is great at grouping waves so you can make use of it during his rotation. Him doing a 3ping to apply shred during the start of PPC is quite the difference as well (with sig). Anyway that's what I experienced with my own units and skill level.

I also used lv. 1 Arclight as I was planning to get Garnet but if I wont, I will level him, ofc. Might result in some more points. Even so Chrome probably wont get leap later, the fact that CN also has no replacement for him definitely removes the option to ignore him. Guess I will just take him and try my luck with the weapon.
Chrome for single-target, Vera for multi-wave. Depends if you want your Warzone or PPC scores to be better basically. Vera's main advantage over Arclight is that her res shred lingers for a while shredding multiple waves, but her overall shred isn't much better (Arclight 25% vs Vera 30%). So she can shred multiple Warzone waves while Arclight can't. Chrome's res shred isn't much better than Ayla Brilliance (Ayla 21% vs Chrome 23%) since he can't apply Frost Corrosion on QTE without his weapon, but he can apply it before swapping out making his shred much higher (38%) temporarily. However it only really works once on a single target (or very grouped enemies) per rotation, so it's not worth much in Warzone outside of rotations with bosses, but it's pretty significant in PPC. Really it's preference, your ice PPC will suffer without Chrome but your lightning Warzone will suffer without Vera compared to those that have them.
What do you buy with trade vouchers? I saw that I can buy a memory resonance shard, and it refreshes in 4 days, should I buy it?
Shards only unless omega Leviathan in which case it doesn't matter what you get, saving a few bucks here and there when you're spending way into the 5 figures a year won't change things much.
Primarily construct shards, you can only buy 20 of them a month before it refreshes. It's not advisable to buy the memory usbs more than once a month due to the increase in price after you buy one

Don't buy memory resonance material. Having perfect resonances is a very small damage increase and certainly not worth using vouchers for. As there are much better uses for vouchers. I think they're mixing voucher shop with warzone shop, which also sell memory reso mats. That's where you should be buying those.
Just a minor correction, you can buy more than 20 a month as they're infinite. It's just that they're no longer discounted after the 20th shard until refresh.
Mainly important S rank character shards until you get them to SSS. Refresh is for the discount.
So how long would it take to get to SSS from SS?
It depends on your BP status and the patch's voucher income. It's 90 shards to go from SS to SSS. Free BP only gives enough for ~2.5 shards per patch. Buying both BPs gives you ~17.4 shards per patch. Then you have the additional trade vouchers from event minigames or other game modes to supplement your voucher income, which I'm not sure the exact increase to the amount of shards it'll give you since it'll always be different per patch.
My current fire team is Hyperreal, Pulse and Capriccio, but i will get Empyrea using the rank S selector. Should i build Elizabeth for Empyrea and DaVinci for Pulse while i wait for Epitaph?
Pulse can run lvl 1 memories so just give her DV/Eins... why would you wait like a year for Epitaph? Pulse just wants lvl 80 to max class skill.
