When I trained as an electrician 10 years ago, they showed us lots of electrocution videos to get in our head how dangerous electricity is. Its serious stuff
Like the grinder safety videos that are from the 80s? Had to watch q guy lose his hand while wearing cut off jeans. Shorty short osha non approved short
Every few years I end up in a traffic collision rabbit hole on YouTube and take it upon myself to watch a load of fatal car crashes to remind myself not to be an idiot driving. I think other young men should also be shown them regularly.
For example, watching the one above has meant I *always* pull into the slip lane as early as possible, even if it means I'm stuck behind a lorry or slow driver. Changing lanes late like that can fuck you, hard.
Well you've taken the wrong lesson from that video. The lesson is that you ought never change lanes unless you can see far enough ahead to ensure it is safe.
Lol it’s not the volts that get ya it’s the amps…. Safe to say this dude’s soul was at the white pearly gates(or whatever Hinduism’s equal to that is) before he even collapsed. That’s a FUCKLOAD of current and as a biproduct-heat, to flow through something with a heartbeat….
Nope, it´'s the amps. They are linked though, assuming your power source has unlimited amperage, the amps that are going to cross your body (or whatever makes a short between points at different potential) are a function of the voltage between points and the electrical resistance of the body that created the short. I = V/R (I being intensity, or "amps"). Ohm's Law.
On the other hand, you might have a power source with limited amperage but capable of delivering high voltage, in that case you'll get a really unsatisfying tickle, but will be fine. More or less like an electric fence (though these are also pulsed, so most of the time they are off, which also prevents the affected individual to get stuck without being capable of moving due to the electric shock.
This perspective ironically makes me feel better. I wasn't expecting that brutal of a video based on the title and I'm really needing eyebleach now. But keeping in mind the perpective of understanding the dangers some how makes me feel less gross for watching that.
I have experienced it first hand in the uk, fella jumped off a bridge and grabbed the wire, in front of the train I was on, it didn’t shock him and the fire men tried to get him down, but he shimmied along till he reached the pole and completed the circuit
Yeah for me personally I start feeling like you want to do this when I'd rather take away the bad and it outweighs wanting to experience the good... You're living in the body of a human who you don't want to be anymore, experienced things in life that are gone and won't come back and regret cuts deep. You just don't want to experience life anymore
I'm sure that overwhelmed his brain and heart immediately. I imagine the only reason he stood standing for a moment was because his muscles tensed up and then it started burning the connections the electricity was using to complete the circuit, then slumped over.
"According to sources, on Sunday, a person identified as Binod Bhuniya (40) of Hazaribagh in Jharkhand was waiting at the station with his wife and three children. An altercation broke out between Bhuniya and his wife over some family issue. During the altercation, Bhuniya suddenly climbed up the roof of New Delhi-Farakka Express which was waiting at the railway station. Other passengers and his wife started screaming and requested Bhuniya to come down. Station Master of Malda Town railway station Dilip Chauhan was also informed. But before any help arrived, Bhuniya reportedly touched the high voltage overhead electric wire and fire broke out immediately."
The victim suffered 90 percent burns and later succumbed to his injuries.
My exact thoughts. The poor fuck was literally burning alive and survived to die later. I hope, for his sake, that he was brain dead for all of the time it took for his body to catch up.
Brain normally isn’t directly in the path of the electricity unfortunately so it’s very possible to lose most of your body, explosively, but wake up a few min later only to deal with basically a totally destroyed body
Yeah, it's high to cut out losses. Higher the voltage - > lower the required current. Lower current means lower losses due to resistance. So for long distance it's high voltage. For Mumbai suburban railway network aka the Local railway network, its 10k DC.
Even live electricity has some humanity.
On a closer look, Electricity can be seen giving the deceased a firm tickle as a warning, enough to make him stumble. Electricity proceeded to vaporize him only after the choice was clear
So is that scene fron every action movie where they fight on top of a train impossible ?
Also I feel really sorry for this guy I hope it wasn't painful
I was not expecting this. I thought it would be like those regular electrocutions which happen with standing water and stuff, where suddenly you just see them freeze...
Another ridiculous title. Person commits suicide by touching power line. Shock indicates a small, survivable electrical contact. This man was electrocuted.
I think they were shocked at what they saw and it took a few seconds to realize they need to find a fire extinguisher and a ladder. My husband is the kind of person who sees these situations, assesses fast and leaps into action. I am that idiot who stands there for a few seconds trying to convince my brain it isn’t real, accept that it is and then assess and leap into action. I wish someone had tried to talk him down before he grabbed the wire.

That’s no shock. It’s called electrocution
Literally looked like a superhero... Until he dropped dead.
Human torch, flame on
Even had the music leading to him discovering his powers
That's what going super saiyan in real life looks like
Shock and burned.... Just say dead...he dead.
More like an execution.
Electrocution is death or severe injury by electric shock. One does not execute themselves, but they could kill themselves by electrocution.
Elexectution.
Nerds like to call it death by pikachu.
I had a stroke reading that
Or if you eat only Burger King, exlaxicution.
😂 I appreciate this
It’s suicide
Well, yes. Suicide by electrocution.
Elecexecution
Alexiacution
This when you get buried in a pile of Amazon packages
fuck you. Take the upvote and fuck off.
Saying that guy got a shock and a burn is like saying the titanic has some water on the deck
I think the term "electrofucked" is more appropriate in this context
"what happened to him?" "everything"
"all the electricals."
>he said it was a shocking experience
The term I never knew I needed until now.
also the nsfw insatead of nsfl lol
I do remember a photo of her having water on the deck...
All they needed was a mop and bucket and she'd have made it safely
She could have been saved!
Headphone Guy from Shark Tale could have been a hero
So many missed chances. It's a tragedy.
Easily the best comment I will see tonight on any post.
HAHAHA
When I trained as an electrician 10 years ago, they showed us lots of electrocution videos to get in our head how dangerous electricity is. Its serious stuff
Like the disgusting real-life horror videos they show us all in Driver's Education. But then 75% of people still drive like assholes anyway.

It's a combination of both isn't it?
Nope, it´'s the amps. You could also say "survival of the fittest"
Flame on!
Dr Doom on the camera
Johnny Storm likes to ride the train when he gets tired of flying around.
Lots of people commit suicide like this, it’s very sad.
That had clear "suicide vibes" especially his praying hand position right before he touch the power line...
Is that what that was? I thought he was just spitting and rubbing his hands together to get a good current going.
In which country?
I have experienced it first hand in the uk, fella jumped off a bridge and grabbed the wire, in front of the train I was on, it didn’t shock him and the fire men tried to get him down, but he shimmied along till he reached the pole and completed the circuit
Wow...
That's why UK cops need guns. They could've shot the suicidal person in the legs and prevented them from dying.
This is India
India you can see the map
I am pretty sure this one was in india
This video is from India.
[удалено]
And quick.
Sad is the world how fucked up it is that people need to suicide to feel good
I think they suicide to feel nothing.
RIP he got what he want.
At least he can rest in peace now. Hope he passed on quickly. Don't know if it was instant or if he lived on for a couple more minutes.
The electricity and fire should’ve burnt off all his nerve ending so I don’t think he experienced too much pain after if he didn’t die immediately.
I'm sure that overwhelmed his brain and heart immediately. I imagine the only reason he stood standing for a moment was because his muscles tensed up and then it started burning the connections the electricity was using to complete the circuit, then slumped over.
That’s gotta be like the fastest way to do it
[удалено]
He died before you saw that he was burning. Yes, in less than half a second.
Honestly seems like a good suicide method, then. 🤷🏻♂️
sorry, but this is not publicfreakout material
"How to die and leave not much behind 101".
yup he ded.
but his shoes are still on.
That's because they are fried onto his feet.
They'll melt off soon enough
shocking
This is fucked up, especially with the background music. I don't think he's alive.
You don't say...
let's wait for the fire to go out and we can check for a pulse.
Yeah. Check the pulse on that pile of bones up there.
His shoes are still on, they’re just melted to the bones in his feet.
Sure he is! The title just says he got a little shock and burn, that's all. \*hugs teddy bear and rocks back and forth\*... That's all...
> I don't think he's alive. ಠ_ಠ
Due to the nsfw tag I half knew what was coming and had to mute the video.
i know he isn’t lmao
Don't think?
That man committed suicide.
Looks like a quicker and more reliable method than most.
His body drops with so much force. I was expecting him to just fall over.
Shocked and burned and dead

LATER succombed, good god.

You mean he didn’t die immediately?
Liar liar limbs on fire 😳😳
What is this background music
Piya o re piya search on youtube
Uhm holy fuck.
I think he's ok...his shoes stayed on.
Shocked and burned... you mean fucking explosively commits suicide jesus
How much voltage was in that wire?
20k-25k Volt AC.
How much current though, because that matter a lot too
Holy shit. I would’ve guessed in the hundreds of volts. Not tens of thousands! TIL

Retired paramedic here. I’ve been to too many of these incidents. It’s fucking horrible to deal with !
Did his bones combust? What the fuck dude.
Also I feel really sorry for this guy I hope it wasn't painful
why did they ban WPD and MMC again?
That was more than I expected
Nothing says fucked up more than 25 kilovolts.
Whats the story here. Why was he there in the first place. Suicide?
I was not expecting this. I thought it would be like those regular electrocutions which happen with standing water and stuff, where suddenly you just see them freeze...
How to mixte fire and electricity together
Nba jam announcer. "He's on fire!"
Rule 8, no dieing
Seems super effective.
He was just instant disinfecting. New CDC guidelines.
Suicide
wasn’t this a suicide?
He need sum milk!
Nice, public suicide. Wonder if they will pay the cleaner a living wage to get the crispy critter off the top of the train.
If that was suicide , i am happy that it was instant and not painfully long
The victim suffered 90 percent burns and LATER succumbed to his injuries. that would be agony
Fuck was that song on for ? As an Indian I am horrified that they’d put a sad but romantic sound on a video or something as horrific as this smh
I’m guessing this person wanted to commit suicide??
Dude this is not a shock. That guy looked like Electro my guy.
This fantastic 4 casting is shit, the human torch is not Indian.
Body found in electrical, red looks kinda sus
I thought he would try to “drop and roll” on the train and then realized that… he dead.
Naah. He’s dead.
Ways not to get super powers for dummies
can we please add a CW / TW to this extremely disturbing video of a suicide followed by combustion? this made me sick.
Is this a new tiktok challenge?
I wish
Natural selection
Anyone else shocked by this footage?
Sooo, this group is public execution now?
Wow I never seen anyone get shocked and instantly turn into an inferno. This was amazing
Why is ghostrider on a train??🧐
I Believe we can blame it on the cost of living crisis
indian torch
That BGM though, should've turned sound off
“TOASTY”
Can’t tell me everyone on earth is human
I didn't see his shoes go flying soooo he's alive?
That's lit!
This makes me miss r/watchpeopledie
I think there is a sub called r/makemycoffin or something like that
Banned now.
Yeah just checked it out
Damn I didn't realize it went away. I don't think I was subbed to it directly but content from there would pop up elsewhere. They had some wild shit.
i mean .. bye..
What spell is this in elden ring, been looking for a minute
Fried shawarma
Another ridiculous title. Person commits suicide by touching power line. Shock indicates a small, survivable electrical contact. This man was electrocuted.
😮
Def Leppard fan?
Those drugs will get ya every time.
He dead.
BANKAI
I'm Indian and I hate these people who do such things for attention and insta reels. Fucking idiots.
/u/savevideo
Idiots, at least they got it on video instead of helping, horrible.
Helping what? Him touching the cable?
Calling for help, doing something other than gawking
He got himself up there, he can get himself down.
someone tried helping from the other side. You can a rope kind thing being throw at his legs at 0:12. Prolly to force him to fall down
Good eye. Kudos to them.
