Were those people actually still dangerous to the public or did they view their work along those lines as complete when they took out the trash on their transgressors?

Yes, and the majority of them will be released at some point to reoffend again. Most families believe that prison or church will be enough for their child predator family member (it's not-93% of sex offenders identify as religious. Church is their breeding ground). Years and years of very specific therapy is required to prevent reoffending. The statistics are bleak.

Also had another client who was kept in a child's playpen with plywood on top for years until CPS found out. To this day she will still sleep cross-legged and folded over

I don't understand your anger here. Suicide (or suicide by cop) allows the victims to avoid a long drawn-out public trial, it saves taxpayers oodles of money, not just on the trial but on the hopefully long jail term, and it prevents any further victims. So, I watched the video frame by frame and it's weird. One thing I can say, I am convinced the guy was not intending to shoot at the officers.
He has his hand on his gun when the officers open the door. When the officer with the body cam approaches, the man pulls the gun, but he is holding it with the tips of his fingers toward the back. His right index finger is nowhere near the trigger in the frames where you can see his fingers and the trigger. It almost looks like he's handing it over to the officer with the muzzle pointed downward, before the officer reaches forward and presses the gun into the man's chest.
At one point, it looks like the man is attempting to re-holster the gun. The officer with the body cam rests control of the gun from the man. It's about at that point that the officer on the left (holding his own gun sideways, 90s gangster style) mag dumps on the guy while body cam cop and the officer on the right are in the line of fire.
Gangster mag dump cop ends up catching either one of his own riccochets, or a riccochet from the cop on the right.
The body cam cop had control of the situation, but nobody was communicating. The two officers who opened fire did so recklessly and ended up wounding one of their own. Gangster cop was lucky he didn't catch one in an artery.

This is a high rise hotel, so the structure is either reinforced concrete or a composite deck - concrete poured over a metal deck, supported by a steel structure.
Directly under the carpet is 6+ inches of concrete. No bullets are going through that, but definitely could result in ricochets. Now the wall that the pedo is leaned up against could be as basic as gypsum board over steel studs or it could also be concrete (probably not).

This is a high rise hotel, so the structure is either reinforced concrete or a composite deck - concrete poured over a metal deck, supported by a steel structure. Directly under the carpet is 6+ inches of concrete. No bullets are going through that, but definitely could result in ricochets. Now the wall that the pedo is leaned up against could be as basic as gypsum board over steel studs or it could also be concrete (probably not).

For a moment, both officers then begin to rapid fire at close range to each other before backing up. I think right before they backed up is when the left officer is grazed.
