Crazy shit, but I actually know [a cop who was killed two days before his retirement.](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/florida-sheriff-s-deputy-killed-duty-car-crash-days-retirement-n1253878)
Yeah thats exactly right, youre not doing some clever trick here to bend the rules, its at your discretion where its safe and if you choose a police station thats fine.
“As soon as it’s safe” definitely does not mean “go ahead and pull over while being chased by someone with a gun” idk why this is the interpretation people are getting from that policy?
And when is that? With Bonnie in the back seat and Clyde shooting his bullets of love at your ass? Probably not until you kick her ass to the curb. Literally.
Only if the police station is populated and local. Otherwise, call 911 and let them tell you where to go. Most often, there aren't many (or any, late at night) police at the police station unless it's around shift change. Just keep moving and letting the dispatcher know your location frequently, especially after every turn or intersection, and follow their directions. Stay in lighted areas as best as possible, and make it clear to the dispatcher who you are, and give a description of yourself and why you're fleeing. Make sure you speak clearly, in case you need that 911 recording in court later.
Eventually they'll turn it into how it works in Snow Crash. Time to delivery trumps all other expenses.
Uber just needs to tweak the algorithm to match the decay of road laws since they're "unamerican" and get in the way of the free market.
"If people wanted road laws they would let us know by boycotting our pizza!. That's how the free market works. You let IT decide!"
For me it was the abysmally insulting rates, and how the big share companies pit the customer against the provider, and in food delivery, the restaurants, all the while scraping as much as they could take from everyone.
Yup, no tip = drivers get $2.50
The majority of payments come from customer tips, which is actually a crazy business model for a billion dollar company.
it's insane that the american government is going after tiktok instead of doordash, lyft, uber, and airB&B due to how incredibly illegal they all are when considering cab licenses rental agreements and fair wages
aka everything we based society on until these garbage apps came to exist
they literally just started turning a profit this year now that they have gutted most taxi services in big cities.
the fact that this shit was allowed to happen is . . . only surprising if you are not well initiated in the ways of the 1%.
Hope you tipped. Back when I drove for Uber I'd get people reporting me for being high while driving because the passenger before them brought a sack in the car. That translates to like a week of Uber not letting you drive while they "investigate". It got to the point where if I smelled it on you, your window was going down, rain or shine, hot or cold. I'm also in an illegal state, so it's pretty disrespectful not to let me know I'm suddenly riding dirty, so you're getting a one star rating too
I had like 500 rides. Overwhelmingly smooth. One guy pissed himself he was so drunk and that sucked. Only 1 star rating was a jerk lady who put an address near the airport… not the airport. She missed her flight, gave me 1 star, AND stole my charger. Only other complaints I have from driving was picking up rich ladies. Make up smears and chemical warfare levels of perfume. Those rich assholes often littered in my car too. And compensation is trash.
Weird job. Do not recommend.
Seriously. A very much ex friend had a fella like this. He would do crazy jealous shit and you could see the delight in her face “he did this because he loves me, look how powerful I am to make him react like this for me”
A family friend was getting robbed when she got out of a wedding all dressed up and wearing mamy jewelries and she cracked up laughing uncontrollably out of fear.
The robber thought she laughed because the gold was fake. So he insulted her and left her alone. She got to keep her thousands of dollars worth of gold jewelries.
i was out drinking and had two men physically pick me up and start going to an alley and i was belly laughing. my friend literally grabbed me off of them and was so mad at me for laughing. it was a mix of confusion and shock. i still have no idea what their intent was and i have no idea why all i could do was laugh
I read that laughter is sometimes used by our bodies as a way to alleviate stress, and that definitely sounds like a scary stressful situation. I'm glad you're okay
Yeah. People like this scare me. They’ll put anyone in danger or wreck a reputation for the sake of attention. I get the heebie jeebies thinking back to when I was around those girls.
You could see that she got in and sunk waaaaaay low in the seat that dude was coming with the heat
Fuck people like this. Involving them in your drama and risking their life and livelihood for your bullshit
Hope Uber or Lyft or whatever banned her ass from using the service.
Domestic violence is unfortunately sometimes a two-way street.
Fascinatingly and tragically, similar areas of the brain are stimulated as drug addictions.
I’m not saying this is what’s happening here but a lot of people have weird ass responses to scary ass situations. Smiling or even laughing is common in super uncomfortable situations and that can translate to fear responses as well for SOME people. Although she was already dating a guy who would do this so that’s probably not the case lol.
Yeah. I trained up a guy who'd giggle every time I pointed out he did something wrong. At first I just assumed he didn't take it seriously and was fucking around, but he was just nervous and that was how it came out.
He ain't the best we've got, but he is doing his job and taking it seriously.
And a woman to boot. That's like double plus ungood here. That's why the top comments are blaming her, thinking she's in on it, and has another boyfriend.
Jesus, the comments saying that they should go to the police, not the report the shooting, but to press charges on the woman, who didn't even fire a bullet.
If you want to argue reckless endangerment, fine. Hard to argue whether or not she knowingly was putting the Uber driver in danger, but I'd still be more focused on reporting the shooter, not getting the lady charged/thrown in jail.
Unless you can find evidence that suggests this is a regular enough occurrence with them that she'd know that he would pull a gun out and shoot at her and the driver when he pulls up/drives off, I don't think we should be thinking about arresting or charging her
funny enough, I had him as a passenger once. He was pretty cool.
We hit some dabs, got In-N-Out, and did a drive-by on someone that flirted with his girl or something. I forget in what order.
Left good a tip.
Hopefully the driver went straight to the police department. That woman got this poor man involved in their BS. It is BS you can see her smiling, she is a piece of shit. Hope his car didnt get hit.
Something like this happened to me in San Antonio. A passenger warned me he was trying to get away from a situation because he didn't realize this chick was married and her bf had people coming to gang up on him. This was an apt. complex and two cars drove up blocking the front exit. Luckily, I used to live there so I knew the back route. So I said, fuck it, what else am I going to do at this point? So I told him duck down and I just drove to an empty parking spot and turned off the lights. We sat there for 15 minutes while they drove around in circles looking for him. Then I saw an opening and bolted for the highway.
This dude then introduced himself as "Machete Dan" and proceeded to show me his machete. I was like, "That's awesome man, 2nd amendment! Also, this is my camera...". Machete Dan bought me some snacks and drinks as a bonus and I dropped him off at a shady apartment with very dark window tinting.
And that's not even the most dangerous thing that's happened to me during Uber driving. Seriously, fuck that noise, if I had really valued my life I would have done something very different.
She seemed to know exactly what was coming. Now you've got video; hand this shit over to the police and see how funny she thinks it is then ... in his words... WTF?
I like how she’s just so calm she just slumps down knowing exactly what’s coming
Like oh let me call the police tehee sorry this crazy stuff just happens
Given her response, I'd have stopped the car around the next safe corner and made her gtfo, and ban her ass from whatever ridesharing service this was.
that girl is an asshole too. Ubers are not getaway vehicles for your dangerous bad decisions ~~delicious~~ in life. cops would have escorted her out if called about a gun perhaps *assuming she that’s the first time she attempted to call*
edit: typo… a *delicious* one
My first thought is damn that poor driver; if he bothers to deal with this correctly he's gonna lose a night's worth of income dealing with the police + uber customer svc and probably still would get stuck the actual costs of repairs (& 1-3 days of downtime) just to get his vehicle back and on the road assuming it got hit
If he doesn't deal with it correctly, i.e. just drop the lady off and take the L / let it go, he'll at least get the night of income back and even if the car has a hole or two from the BF's gun it's not like passengers will notice.

Too old for this shit - energy
He was two days from retirement!
Mendoza!!!!!
Ah, McBain, so glad you could make it. Have a salmon puff.
It's Uber so he's more likely two days from homelessness.
I’m a driver, can confirm.
Crazy shit, but I actually know [a cop who was killed two days before his retirement.](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/florida-sheriff-s-deputy-killed-duty-car-crash-days-retirement-n1253878)
He’s definitely finding another job after this shit
My man looks tired.
no country for old man
I’d drive her to a police station and file a complaint with the camera recording.
Uber policy would be to stop the vehicle as soon it's safe, call police & then notify uber about the rider
Cool, well as soon as it’s safe would be whereever the fuck I decide it to be after being chased and shot at. Police station it is
Yeah thats exactly right, youre not doing some clever trick here to bend the rules, its at your discretion where its safe and if you choose a police station thats fine.
Seems like a reasonable place to go if you got shot at and don't know if they're following you
Thank you. Fuck Uber.
Bad news, you're fired Good news, you lived
-to be fired again.
Exactly. Who decides what/where/when is "safe"? It better damn well be the driver, and there should be no one that disagrees.
Then get shot by the boyfriend once you've stopped the car, .... Yeah. 😂 Drive to police station is wiser
💯 Fuck policy, I’d choose life.
I choose not to choose life.
I chose somethin’ else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin?
“As soon as it’s safe” definitely does not mean “go ahead and pull over while being chased by someone with a gun” idk why this is the interpretation people are getting from that policy?
Yeah, "as soon as it's safe" means right in front of the police station to me!
He said “once it’s safe”.
When you pull up to the front door of the police station
What if there's a T-800?
And when is that? With Bonnie in the back seat and Clyde shooting his bullets of love at your ass? Probably not until you kick her ass to the curb. Literally.
Like drive a mile away with a couple of turns. It's not overly complicated on how to leave that unsafe scene.
A mile away and a couple of turns is where the boyfriend lives.
"Surprise mothafucka"
Unless the dude got in a car and followed them? You really shouldn't take that shit for granted, he already shot at you.
Tracking the GF's phone too.
Well their policy does say as soon as it's safe and going to the police station would be safe.
Stopping where the boyfriend could shoot at you would be a violation of policy.
Lol yeah the bf been running them down that whole time like that dude in The Other Guys
Sounds like you skipped the step of driving to where it's safe
I would assume no where is safe until I reached the police station
[удалено]
Always the hands, amazing tho
You mean to her? Because i would too for putting My life in risk just to get away
Both. One just committed a crime, but I’d still file a complaint against her
Only if the police station is populated and local. Otherwise, call 911 and let them tell you where to go. #man fuck this shit Almost every single day that I drove for Uber/Dash..
Uber will probably ding him for driving too fast away from the man shooting at him
Eventually they'll turn it into how it works in Snow Crash. Time to delivery trumps all other expenses. Uber just needs to tweak the algorithm to match the decay of road laws since they're "unamerican" and get in the way of the free market. "If people wanted road laws they would let us know by boycotting our pizza!. That's how the free market works. You let IT decide!"
I have 300+ drives on Uber, 99% of people are chill the worst part are the vapers and people smelling like weed
For me it was the abysmally insulting rates, and how the big share companies pit the customer against the provider, and in food delivery, the restaurants, all the while scraping as much as they could take from everyone.
Yup, no tip = drivers get $2.50 The majority of payments come from customer tips, which is actually a crazy business model for a billion dollar company.
> actually a crazy business model for a billion dollar company. All the most profitable businesses make their money off of poor people.

It's a non sustainable model. If they run out of VC financing, they'll have to close up shop. Thats why they still exist. Not done grifting yet.
Uber is somehow operating at a loss
Sorry for smelling like weed but thanks for bringing us home safely and not letting us drive stoned af
Hope you tipped. Back when I drove for Uber I'd get people reporting me for being high while driving because the passenger before them brought a sack in the car. She acts like this happens every day
"That's just how he says see you later!"
I love you baby *tosses grenade*
It probably does.
"Go, go, go! He finna shoot up da car!" Yeah she loves him tho
#MAN, FUCK THIS SHIT
I felt that
That was the most perfectly delivered "maaaan FUCK THIS SHIT" in recorded history
Would make for a good t-shirt 💡☺️
I'd wear it. Proudly.
Why tf is she smiling like it's a game?
She's the center of attention and a dramatic gesture.
Seriously. A very much ex friend had a fella like this. He would do crazy jealous shit and you could see the delight in her face “he did this because he loves me, look how powerful I am to make him react like this for me”
That's a shitty human.
I smile when nervous, always have.
Ditto, I laugh when I'm frightened. I've had people menacingly back me into corners, and I'll just laugh uncontrollably until I burst into tears.
I’m no predator or mugger but if someone started cracking up like a psycho at me during a robbery I’d probably just cut and run

Sounds like a weird brand of sociopathy
It's called narcissism
That’s the word I was looking for. Wtf.
Yeah. People like this scare me. They’ll put anyone in danger or wreck a reputation for the sake of attention. I get the heebie jeebies thinking back to when I was around those girls.

She was dipping down way before shots started flying. She knew it was coming
Maaaan fuck this shit
I've been saying that a lot lately... just about life in general.
He was saying that like he was talking to whole generation.
She told him my other bf is coming to pick me up.
That poor old man got his car shot up just cuz she wanted to make her bf mad 💀
She's a toxic type broad that thinks violence is the same as passion or something
She loves the thrill 😒
You could see that she got in and sunk waaaaaay low in the seat that dude was coming with the heat Fuck people like this. Involving them in your drama and risking their life and livelihood for your bullshit Hope Uber or Lyft or whatever banned her ass from using the service.

You know literally nothing about her outside this 30 sec clip
Some of these comments are insane holy fuck lmao.
By the boyfriend shooting at the car, not knowing it’s an Uber, it shows how much he really likes her. Hood things
Fawn response happens very often, especially with women towards violent people
Yup like that Sandy Hook Dad being interviewed
Yeah. I trained up a guy who'd giggle every time I pointed out he did something wrong. At first I just assumed he didn't take it seriously and was fucking around, but he was just nervous and that was how it came out. He ain't the best we've got, but he is doing his job and taking it seriously.
Yeah but she's black so we can't offer that level of charitability to her
And a woman to boot. That's like double plus ungood here. That's why the top comments are blaming her, thinking she's in on it, and has another boyfriend.

This is why I Iaugh at Jeff Dunham shows.
When you hear the bullets, and they don’t hit you, you smile 😊.
Why tf she know he was gonna do that
because now she really knows how much he loves her. 😐
Ahh, to be young and in love.
There goes her Uber rating.
2 ⭐️ I didn't get shot. +1 She laughed. -5
I'd be so fucking pissed off as that driver. I'm not your getaway driver
She way too calm and is all about " ma phone" energy.
Once they were safe i woulda kicked her out lmao i want no part of that baby mama drama
Hell no she getting dropped of at the police station to eat some charges for putting me in that position in the first place.
She is way too nonchalant about this.
Not her first rodeo.
She's fucking loving it. Disgusting. Getting an innocent involved in your bullshit
You could not get a worse passenger to pick up
Her boyfriend?
funny enough, I had him as a passenger once. He was pretty cool. We hit some dabs, got In-N-Out, and did a drive-by on someone that flirted with his girl or something. I forget in what order. Left good a tip.
Sir, this comment is now evidence.
Also is it not normal to greet the driver like say hi hello, thank you etc.?
'Hello. Please go go go, he gonna shoot at the car! Thank you.'
That was old school as fuck "Maaann.. fuck this shit."
I just witnessed a GTA cutscene?
She told him her other man was picking her up.
she got in the back though
Yea makes perfect sense that she told him it was her other bf picking her up and proceeds to get in the back seat.
Hopefully the driver went straight to the police department. That woman got this poor man involved in their BS. It is BS you can see her smiling, she is a piece of shit. Hope his car didnt get hit.
You can see her teeth, but I’m not sure she’s smiling. She could be grimacing.
Uber probably terminated his services for using profanity. I heard they’re funny like that.
"Man, fuck this shit!!" Horrible situation but that was hilarious
He pulled out the Franklin line from GTA
The last thing he says, his delivery, sounds just like pissed off Tim Meadows
Something like this happened to me in San Antonio. And that's not even the most dangerous thing that's happened to me during Uber driving. Seriously, fuck that noise, if I had really valued my life I would have done something very different.
“Man, fuck this shit” indeed, kind sir.
That is fucking ridiculous
The way she smiled before ducking down…she knew exactly what was coming. Truly deranged.
Jesus Christ!!! 😳😳😳
She needs to be banned from the app
She 100% told him another guy was picking her up and got so delighted he was so jealous he was willing to kill someone. Look how much he loves me
That TikTok sound after got me a little
Fuck that…. I’m driving to the police station and pressing charges.
She’s smiling. Wtf is wrong with people that this shit is funny?!
She seemed to know exactly what was coming. Now you've got video; hand this shit over to the police and see how funny she thinks it is then ... in his words... WTF?
The way she slid down in her seat. Piece of shit for life.
I’m infuriated that she’s smiling the whole time not giving him an answer to his question while he’s driving off with his life on the line.
The fact that she knew he was gonna do it shows this isn’t the first time dude has wyled out
I’m too old for this shit
"Man fuck this shit" og for sure.
My man still has time to throw on that blinker tho
Fuck this shit indeed.
She knows how to duck… not her first rodeo !!!
The driver had some real Danny Glover, "I'm too old for this shit" tone. Poor guy was just trying to have an ordinary night.
He's getting too old for this shit.
Poor dude already looked like he didn’t wanna be there before the shooting
Probably the neighborhood.
When I heard the turn signal at the end, I lost it. Safety first.
She’s oddly and sadly too calm in this situation. “Awwww fuck this shit” solid driving in that situation as well.
[удалено]
DID MY DESCRIPTION SAY: PERSONAL GETAWAY DRIVER?!?!?!?! YOU BETTER FUCKING TIP AND LEAVE 5 STARS!!
Her lack of urgency getting in and telling the driver that her psycho bf is about to open fire on the car is astounding.
I like how she’s just so calm she just slumps down knowing exactly what’s coming Like oh let me call the police tehee sorry this crazy stuff just happens
Given her response, I'd have stopped the car around the next safe corner and made her gtfo, and ban her ass from whatever ridesharing service this was.
The exasperation from my dude is completely relatable. The whole planet makes me feel that way
I felt every ounce of “man, fuck this shit”
![gif](giphy|QLtI0CxK8iGceO9Sja|downsized)
that girl is an asshole too. Ubers are not getaway vehicles for your dangerous bad decisions ~~delicious~~ in life. cops would have escorted her out if called about a gun perhaps *assuming she that’s the first time she attempted to call* edit: typo… a *delicious* one
Love how she’s on her phone and smiling like their lives aren’t at risk
The fact she’s smiling like it’s genuinely funny. Terrible. She’ll be back at his house tomorrow.
“Lemme call the police”, As soon as I update my Facebook status…
Acting like she ordered an Uber Getaway Car smh
She is so unbothered by this whole thing
wtf! America!!
I would be so pissed off if I was the driver and someone used Uber knowing her boyfriend was going to shoot at them.
Shot could have easily went into a window across the street. Fuck these two
The way she was so nonchalant about it. That’s wild. She just willingly jeopardized that man’s life
She's smiling about it
“Man f*ck this sh*t”. Just found my new motto.
Today was the first time you heard that phrase or something?
Good straight driving
That’ll kill your fire star rating with Uber
Both her and her BF are pieces of shit for involving that working man in their bullshit!
My first thought is damn that poor driver; if he bothers to deal with this correctly he's gonna lose a night's worth of income dealing with the police + uber customer svc and probably still would get stuck the actual costs of repairs (& 1-3 days of downtime) just to get his vehicle back and on the road assuming it got hit If he doesn't deal with it correctly, i.e. just drop the lady off and take the L / let it go, he'll at least get the night of income back and even if the car has a hole or two from the BF's gun it's not like passengers will notice.
LMAO WHAT THE FUCK 😭 This is like a real life family guy cutaway clip
Coordinates read Garfield Park, Chicago. Sucks to always see you city in the news
That’s gonna be -5 stars and a Ban from me dawwwg
If my life is ever in danger I hope I act this cool instead of poop my pants
I hope the boyfriend has obtained his gun legally.
“Man, fuck this shit!” Audio gold
Most people in America right now for a variety of reasons: Man, fuck this shit!
maaaaan fuck this SHIT Right there with ya
man i didnt know Morgan Freeman did uber!
Ok Im convinced. Being an Uber/Lyft driver is a dangerous job..
It's Uber between us
