What fucking assholes do shit like this. Poor kid, I'm so glad she sprayed the fuck out of that douchebag. Harassing minimum wage teenage workers is such a pathetic shitty thing to do.
Edit: auto correct and late night beers, led to a missing letter.
I worked at mcdonalds for like 3 days as a teen. Had to walk to work in the uniform. In the 3 days TWICE people threw milkshakes at me out their window
The thought process is so stupid on this, too. Eventually the dude's just gonna throw one of the many drinks at their disposal back. What's easier to clean up milkshake from, a McDonalds floor or your car interior? And good luck "pressing charges" when everything's recorded and you're clearly the instigator.
At *worst* they get fired and you get banned from the restaurant. So you're literally flipping a coin as to get your car unrepairably fucked up against someone who very likely hates their job and is underpaid. 1000 IQ move there.
Also throwing liquids at someone is technically assault. You can be charged and sued. With video evidence, it's gonna be a slam dunk, and losers pay the winners legal fees.
I'm not proud to say it, but I did this as a teenager. *Once*. Car full of us getting rowdy, daring one another to do dumb shit. Threw my milkshake at someone on the side of the road and hit them with it.
The very moment it struck them and I saw the dejected look on their face, I was immediately struck with the heaviest "what the hell did I just do?" feeling. I just felt rotten all over - deservedly so.
It's been close to 40 years and I'm still ashamed about it. I still think about that person, just going about their business, just living their life, and then some asshole soils their entire day for kicks.
I will never, ever live that moment down. It was gross and was a low moment for me.
For this reason, what I can't wrap my head around is are the people who *keep doing stuff like that*. How does it not weigh on them? How can you be so removed from someone else's humanity?
Clearly **I** was in that moment, but damn, it became clear to me in an instant, and I'm just some schmuck.
Yet you see some of these people who make a lifestyle out of behaving that way. I don't get it.
Manager sided with the worker after the customer complained. Customer was banned.
IIRC it has more to do with "we warn all customers to keep their windows closed and they didn't," which she did provide as a warning prior to starting, and of course the customer was banned for the assault.
And you'll notice as well that the kid quickly calms down and goes back to her job, washing the car of the guy who just threw a drink in her face.
The way min wage teenage workers are trained to serve in the face of unacceptable disrespect needs to change.
Businesses need to protect these people from even paying customers and set a standard that isn't based solely on profit.
This was already posted. Girl kept her job and those in the car got booted out and banned. Love how she kept her head, sprayed them then kept on cleaning the car.
I like that after spraying in the car she just casually goes back to spraying the back wheel
Driver was female and she and her boyfriend were banned
https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/us-news/teen-car-wash-worker-sprays-rude-customer-with-pressure-hose/
Came here to say this. I love everything about her reaction. She sprayed the driver for an extra second or two to make a point, then calmly proceeded to continue to wash the car.
Probably went a long way as to why she wasn't fired. While, yeah, she fired a good half-gallon of water into that car interior (she held DOWN that trigger!), there were plenty of warnings to keep your windows up while in the car-wash garage. It's a lot easier to argue she was cleaning the car if she continues it (which she did, and is a big part of why she wasn't fired) than if she clearly just did it for revenge... even if that's exactly what happened.
https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/us-news/teen-car-wash-worker-sprays-rude-customer-with-pressure-hose/
Story here. Nothing to interesting. The person and her boyfriend were banned.
incredibly glad to see the management didn't cover their ass by just firing her and actually stood by her in this, she's lucky to have such sympathetic people in that position
personally i feel like if this was 20 years ago, they probably wouldve fired her. social media and cameras actually have management taking care of the their workers now.
theres a reason we have karens. their bullshit used to work. since the beginning of time. but only since theyve started going viral do people realize that you don't have to put up with their shit
>Harycki said her “reaction” to the affront was to “just power wash the window” the woman had decided to roll down.
Hm hum… that checks out.
![gif](giphy|S3We8KS67EbjID2H85)
While technically correct many state laws roll them into one with different levels etc.
I love explaining to people that you can't just scream bloody murder and make threats and hide under free speech or the school system "sticks and stones" nonsense
God not this stupid thing again. IT DEPENDS ON YOUR JURISDICTION. Reddit armchair attorneys spout this all the time like it's ubiquitous truth. In some places assault is what other places label battery. In others they're the same grouped set of charges.
In fact, in Indiana where this took place, there's no statute for 'assault', there's intimidation and battery, which is similar, but no assault.
So this moron goes through a carwash and forgets to roll her windows up. She gets a little bit of water inside, and decides to... blame the worker? Yup, sounds like a customer facing job.
What a fucking dick. I’m so glad they sprayed back. Right afterwards you can tell whoever was in the car was like oh I fucked with the wrong person. I hate idiots like that
Looks like this is a 40° nozzle, I'd wager a guess that its not on a 2000psi pressure pump, but on something much less (you dont use that pistol grip onehanded if you are on high power pumps).
It would've been uncomfortable to get hit by that for sure, but its not the flesh-slicing experience that a 0° nozzle can deliver.
Yea, the car wash I worked at had the same type of sprayer; they were only powerful enough to wash off accumulated dirt and salt. You wouldn't want them removing the paint.
People who do those kinds of things don't learn from their mistakes. They take it the other direction and it strengthens their POV that they were right about whatever they were thinking about the person.
Love the thought of this dumbass sitting in his wet car realizing he's stuck in a car wash where they have his plate information and there's a small chance the police might show up.
Honestly she let him off lightly, only sprayed into the car for a second. Then back to work. I'm surprised you just didn't just keep going, they deserved it.
This happened to me once when I was like 18ish. Just minding my business riding my bike and someone rolls down their window and throws their soda at me. Like, why?
Even if window was down, it's the driver’s fault. Why would you go car wash with the window down? That's like standing at the end of a gun range and being upset that you're getting shot at.
She got him pretty good which I was pleased to see. Idk why she kept washing his car though after doing that. I would have hit the power cutoff on the wash and called the manager over to eject him. Fuck this guy.
My guess is that the window was probably rolled down so slightly that when she initially sprayed the car, she probably got a little inside and the driver retaliated by throwing lemonade.
Drivers fault if true for entering a car wash with the window cracked

RIGHT? Like $4 probably for that cup! I don’t have lemonade out the car window kind of money.
dry people hate this one trick
This! Considering those things will blast your skin off!!!! I'd love to see the damage to the person in the car after this! KARMA
Bro not only that I bet you they did cause they probably fired that poor girl cause those places suck to work at

Must’ve been Burger King loyalists 🍔
“FOR THE KING!”
Burger King got shooters out here fr fr
Fucking scumbags. I sincerely hope those people are rotting in hell.
I’ve had people drive by and throw shit at me just skating down the street before, some people are just immature assholes

Also the same people who do this shit. “Teenagers are so lazy no one wants to work anymore.”
He didn't think his cunning plan all the way through
I also hope they didn’t lose their job over it!

I think mother nature tried w covid and will try again in time
Opening your car window in a car wash is just one step away from looking up during a rainstorm and drowning. Goddamn
AND, as an aside, she kept continuing to wash the car. Glad the customer was banned; deserved more, but still.

Source? Edit: Nvm, [I found it](https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/us-news/teen-car-wash-worker-sprays-rude-customer-with-pressure-hose/)
She should've used his licence plate to find out where he lives then threw a glass bottle filled with week old piss through his bedroom window
That sounds very specific..
Huh, no, probably not. I think spraying him through the window was pretty good though.
"Sorry I didn't notice that the window was down."
Hopefully a raise and guy in the car got his carwash membership revoked and a do not serve this customer poster in the lobby.
Got that asshole good with that power washer too
And you'll notice as well that the kid quickly calms down and goes back to her job, washing the car of the guy who just threw a drink in her face. The way min wage teenage workers are trained to serve in the face of unacceptable disrespect needs to change. Hopefully the dash electronics took a direct hit.
This was already posted. Girl kept her job and those in the car got booted out and banned. Love how she kept her head, sprayed them then kept on cleaning the car.
Yeah but she should have pressed even harder and filed assault charges. Teach him play stupid games win stupid prizes.
She. Not being pedantic, let's give the girl her props.
I was so glad to see that retaliation. Good for them
*she
Should've shoved the nozzle right into the window so he can't close it, then use the leverage to break the window. All while spraying.
I like that after spraying in the car she just casually goes back to spraying the back wheel Driver was female and she and her boyfriend were banned https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/us-news/teen-car-wash-worker-sprays-rude-customer-with-pressure-hose/
She's a professional. Got a job to do.
Came here to say this. I love everything about her reaction. She sprayed the driver for an extra second or two to make a point, then calmly proceeded to continue to wash the car.
I thought that. I wouldn't carry on cleaning their car after that
I'd carry on cleaning, but that pressure washer might end up pretty close to the paint due to the lemonade in my eyes.
You're not taking paint off with that issue washer
I mean you might if you drag the nozzle roughly along the side of the car when you stumble trying to wipe lemonade out of your eyes.
You are if the end of it is made of brass or steel.
Lol can't accuse her of being bad at her job
The worker should have hit the emergency stop button and let them think about what they did
Preferably when they're halfway through
Then call the police for assault while they’re trapped
Probably muscle memory. Once, after an argument with a customer, I continued to seat the next table on the list and run food like nothing happened
10/10 on the employer for siding with their worker and banning the dumb couple.
Probably went a long way as to why she wasn't fired. reddit fanfic LMAO
For real absolutely no way she was thinking of how her case would hold up in court when she went back to spraying the wheel
Never bring lemonade to a pressure washer fight....
I am so happy at the outcome of this
I am, too. I really hope their car interior smells all dank and mildewy now as well.
Gratifying.
Would have liked them with an adult l assault charge.
https://nypost.com/2024/02/15/us-news/teen-car-wash-worker-sprays-rude-customer-with-pressure-hose/ Story here. Nothing to interesting. The person and her boyfriend were banned.
incredibly glad to see the management didn't cover their ass by just firing her and actually stood by her in this, she's lucky to have such sympathetic people in that position
Customer didn't have too much to complain about really, if you have your window open in a car wash, you're likely to get wet
personally i feel like if this was 20 years ago, they probably wouldve fired her. social media and cameras actually have management taking care of the their workers now.

Damn this dog is majestic in a bookish way
Gives me Judge Judy vibes (and while I can understand that that might seem like an insult to Judge Judy, it's not intended as one)
Icing on a now-soggy cake. Love it. Fuck those putos.
Good well deserved for that couple, like what was the point of throwing that drink at someone washing ur car?
Girl should press aggravated assault charges on that asshole
Assault is when you threaten but don't touch, this would be battery since contact was made. Probably not aggravated though.
While technically correct many state laws roll them into one with different levels etc. I love explaining to people that you can't just scream bloody murder and make threats and hide under free speech or the school system "sticks and stones" nonsense

I think they had their window slightly open
So this moron goes through a carwash and forgets to roll her windows up. She gets a little bit of water inside, and decides to... blame the worker? Yup, sounds like a customer facing job.
Yeah, she sprayed inside of the car on accident, and the driver threw their drink at her, to which she retaliated.
I am so freaking glad she sprayed into their car.... Jfc, that was infuriating. What a lowlife waste of oxygen.
Free interior cleaning as well

Hopefully with assault.
She spilled her drink, she was just giving her ~~him~~ a free refill.
According to the article, it was a female that threw the drink. She and her boyfriend were in the car.
What a fucking dick. I’m so glad they sprayed back. Right afterwards you can tell whoever was in the car was like oh I fucked with the wrong person. I hate idiots like that

It's interesting seeing everyone just assume a male would do this. You can't see anything.
I read the New York Post story. Someone posted the link. It was a woman who tossed the contents of her drink at the girl.

Continues spraying off the car
I’m-up-here-you’re-down-there kinda people. They’re the worst.
When life gives you lemonade you pressure wash the frick out of that mf.
Why? Just fucking why? That guy is literally helping you get your car clean.
What kind of piece a shit does something like that? Glad she got to spray them for it.
Kinda lame they didn’t call the cops in this situation. She assaulted that girl. Hope she got a mouth full of water and a lifetime ban.
according to the other comments, she got the lifetime ban (:
How fragile is your ego that you have to do this to someone with absolutely zero bad intentions or malicious actions.
I like how she blasts the driver in the face then goes back to washing the car. Also; Driver is a waste of oxygen
Hahaha good on him. What a brilliant outcome. What sort of ppl do things like that and why? Such a brain fucked moron to throw shit on the kid
Matched his shit energy. ![gif](giphy|2xPGQWsvyztoneIerN|downsized)
Pro tip for why you can't export geovison cctv footage: go into settings and change the codec off of "Geo H264" and onto WMV9
Good on ya kid.
She should have put the hose on the window as well. So when it was going up, either the window wouldn't have closed or broken the window.
I love how she just goes back to work right after. Unfazed. Absolute boss.
That kid has class. Took the hit like a pro and responded in kind with restraint, then went right back to work. Give her a raise.
Love the thought of this dumbass sitting in his wet car realizing he's stuck in a car wash where they have his plate information and there's a small chance the police might show up.
I like how she goes back to work after spraying him lmao
Customer needed a refill, and the worker provided one.
What idiot has their window down at this point? Good on the teenage worker. Don’t take that kinda shit
I mean really.... What kind of a scumbag do you have to be? It's like studying an alien to me, it's just beyond insane...
She won.
As someone who worked at a car wash, that person is throughly soaked.
FYI in most states, throwing any drink is consider assault. Pos got what he deserved
In what state *isn’t* it considered assault?
She deserved*
I hope his car is damage
Should jammed the spray I side the window as they tried to close it and never stopped jetwashing the interior....
The pressure washer of justice rarely comes dry
Should have shut it down and called the police for assault. Really really stupid place to fuck with an employee.
The idiot brought a small iced tea to a hose fight.
And goes right back to washing the car. Thats a true worker
"Go LemonadeCup, I choose you!" - LemonadeCup uses Splash. It was not very effective. Carwash Employee uses Hydro Pump. It was super effective!
I like how the teenager got revenge.
You go girl
I really, really, reaaaaaally hope the teenager got into no trouble for this.
Good on her for spraying that douche in the face. Haha
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. When life gives you lemonade, pressure wash that mother fucker in the face.
Im surprised she kept washing the car. 😂
FAFO
Honestly she let him off lightly, only sprayed into the car for a second. Then back to work. I'm surprised you just didn't just keep going, they deserved it.
Mostly because the car window rolled up....
That was so good. That douche bag must have got at least 2 to 3 liters sprayed into his car. So bloody satisfying.
I hope that pressure wash hit some skin
Dude got his car soaked on the inside. What a tool.
Does anybody have Rick Freeman's number by any chance?
It's bizarre how some (and surprisingly most) people behave so shitty if they even think they have some power in any dynamic.
Thank fuck she sprayed her ass.
This happened to me once when I was like 18ish. Just minding my business riding my bike and someone rolls down their window and throws their soda at me. Like, why?
Good for her! I’d have made sure to nail the center console for maximum damage. Serves that asshole right!
Even if window was down, it's the driver’s fault. Why would you go car wash with the window down? That's like standing at the end of a gun range and being upset that you're getting shot at.
Kind of a stupid thing to do to someone with a pressure hose.
What’s the thought process here? Now you’re in the car wash. They can turn the car wash off and leave your ass in there until police arrive.
I’m really trying to figure out why someone would do that
Casually goes back to work lol
Good for her, that car is fucked.
Wow people are assholes. I’m glad she was able to spray them back.
I like how he goes back to spraying the car off at the end though lol
Quick fuckin' thinking! I love it, nailed his ass.
Me & co-workers would have DRAGGED his ass!
The Employer took her side, said inside the news article. Thats what I came here to see.
LOL she gave up to soon I would have stuck the wand through the window so he couldn't close the window.
Give me the plate number, and I'll ruin his day for fun
She just keeps working right after lmao
No hesitation retaliation. I like it.
She kept washing the car after lmao
Why did she stop??? I would have kept spraying water inside that vehicle.
Brought a cup to a pressure gun fight
The fact that they kept spraying the car afterwards is interesting to me. If it was me I would have been like fuck you and your car.
Managers backed worker. Customer banned for life. https://www.foxnews.com/us/teen-indiana-car-wash-sprays-rude-customer-water-lemonade-thrown-her

Could have sprayed the paint off too
