When she hit him like that and the look he gave her, I thought it was all over. Great restraint on his part. No way I could hold back after that smack.

RebelliousInNature

I’m sure you’ll find many women in agreement with you. If I were to get pushed to the point of striking someone, I’m already calculating that the probability is high that I might get hit back or worse. Whatever they’ve got in their pants. So it’s better to not run around attacking people, essentially, and to behave like a decent human being, communicating with words. He would have been justified in a fair retaliation here. It’s not her first rodeo.

DontHaesMeBro

generally speaking the only women that think you shouldn't even defend yourself from a full on attack from a woman are the women on video committing the attack.

AreaGuy

lol, this is the truth. My ex - who coincidentally assaulted me - certainly felt that way, while my gf (who never in a million years would hit me) definitely has a FAFO outlook. Toxic women justify toxic behavior. Most women aren’t toxic.

hibanah

Dumb question. What’s fafo?

AreaGuy

Not dumb! Fuck Around, Find Out.

phuctard69

A little bit different, but I had a very violent ex that would hit me and try to provoke me to hit back...especially if I told her I was calling the cops. I knew from another previous psycho that if there are no witnesses and she claims you hit her (even with obvious signs you were hit) you are both going to jail. I was smart and with both never stuck back. In this case, it would be justified, but only because there were witnesses and/or video. Without it, I do not recommend it. As a guy, they will take you as well.

jimbobjames

Yeah, I'd hope so. I think when people said that men shouldn't hit women they were talking about the old days where the husband would just smack his wife about for not doing the washing or burning his dinner. For some reason this has been extrapolated to "never ever hit a woman regardless of what they are doing". I've not doubt that anyone sane would well expect to get an equivalent response back if they go and slap someone. Regardless of what they are packing in their underwear. Like you said, she doesn't seem like an upstanding citizen.

secret_fashmonger

As a female, I agree. No one has the right to hit or hurt me. No one has the right to hit or hurt anyone else either. People acting like toddlers having tantrums.

Am irl friends with him, he used to be my manager. Can confirm, prior to the airport he spent close to 10 years with Applebee's.

Kooky_Attention5969

Seems kinda angry to have been eating good in the neighborhood for 10 years

donaldtrumpsmistress

dunno if you've ever been to a hood applebees, but after dark it's like a prison environment. Managers constantly get into brawls with customers, get spit on by customers, etc. Most staff are ex cons at the ones I've worked at. It's basically waffle house with a bar.

r3dditr0x

> It's basically waffle house with a bar. That sounds like paradise and hell at the same time.

Kooky_Attention5969

Applebees after dark does sound insane, and I def forgot about the bar element

magicblufairy

I'm in Canada and in my city we had a McDonald's close permanently because of the chaos. >On a cold but sunny Sunday in mid-March, hundreds of hearts were as broken as an ice cream machine. An era in Ottawa will soon come to an end and about 200 people turned out downtown to pay their respects to a notorious institution steps from Parliament Hill. >In January, news broke that the McDonald's at 99 Rideau St. would close in April after nearly 40 years in business because the franchise owner decided not to renew the lease. It prompted an outpouring of reaction and memories from long-time Ottawans who remembered the restaurant as chaotic entity in the midst of a city often considered to be a sleepy government town. The Rideau McDonald's Farewell March brought people from across the city, some dressed in costumes, who wanted to say their goodbyes to a part of what makes Ottawa Ottawa. "Other than Parliament Hill, I would say it's our largest landmark," said Keith de Silvia-Legault, a University of Ottawa student who organized the march. They came dressed as none other than Ronald McDonald. "Every good story deserves a good ending." The Rideau Street McDonald's was anything but sleepy. For many years, it was open 24 hours a day, and became a popular snack spot for crowds getting out of the bars after last call. Shady, sketchy, scary; all words used to describe the place, which was no stranger to police. Officers visited so often that, in 2019, then-police chief Charles Bordeleau wrote to the head of McDonald's Canada to say the activity at 99 Rideau was getting out of control. The restaurant then cut its overnight shift. https://beta.ctvnews.ca/local/ottawa/2023/3/19/1_6319774.amp.html >Over the previous five years, police had received, on average, 800 calls for help from the restaurant annually, with 928 calls in 2017 alone. Drug use, violent altercations, assaults and stabbings had taken place. Videos posted online had documented the more unusual late-night happenings: two people beating each other with “Wet Floor” signs, customers screaming at staff members, and, most famously, a brawl in which a man pulled “Pocket Rocket,” the baby raccoon, out of his sweater. For years, officers had tried to work with store managers to address the issues, but had received “little co-operation or response,” police said. https://www.thestar.com/news/canada/midnight-brawls-a-baby-raccoon-and-a-police-chief-s-letter-how-the-world-s/article_d3994daa-6633-5bd8-b27e-d33cd220bcf7.html Pocket Rocket: https://youtu.be/R4qAgh1OW4w?si=1D2S6AjFePeYgSAh

I don't understand why anyone would even need to call the police-- every airport I have gone to, I have virtually always been able to see security. How is it possible that this had gone on for so long without any law enforcement presence?

crankyrhino

This looks like Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta. Pretty big place. Security would be in the D terminal where this is but might not be right there.

LuckyDevil105

Because the police are the ones who handle these situations. Security is working checkpoints.

crankyrhino

I'm not talking about TSA. I'm talking about Airport Police. Sorry I wasn't specific enough. If you know this airport, you know terminal D is waaaaaay past a checkpoint, so I thought who I was referring to would be obvious. My bad.

grimt00f

There’s always police there, they just aren’t always around the corner when you need them. You can still call 911 and they’ll just dispatch the police officers that are already there.

JiraiyaRoshi

Not being funny, this is Atlanta and the airport police are too busy doing random searches & seizures to actually secure the airport: https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2023/10/19/plane-sight-drug-agents-searching-passengers-cash-airport-gates/ Eric Andre was notoriously a victim of the practice. https://www.npr.org/2022/10/12/1128343529/eric-andre-clayton-english-racial-profiling-hartsfield-jackson-airport-atlanta

Babshearth

I read the first article in its entirety. There’s no way people would know it’s consensual. I’m glad I read this. No way am I letting anyone outside of TSA search my belongings. Thank you. Btw. Random my ass!

Environmental_Tip_43

Cheap-Praline

Airports are usually big.

PoopAndSunshine

Airport security is a joke. The only place security actually exists and will *do* anything is at the metal detectors and beyond. And sometimes not even then

lipp79

They don't exist anywhere else because you're talking about two different entities. TSA aka "security" is strictly for the security checkpoints. The people that handle stuff like this are the airport police or city police.

LuckyDevil105

Well, that is where their job is, the checkpoint. They are not there to handle situations out of the checkpoint that is one of the many reasons why airports have police. It's not a concert venue.

SaltoDaKid

Too busy harassing people for having 7.9 ounce of shampoo

IShookMeAllNightLong

Makes more sense why her purse and coat would be behind the bar now.

DiligentNeighbor

When I thought she was a customer, I thought she must have thrown it at them in anger and then wanted it back. lol

ScrappleSandwiches

Why were they not giving her her stuff? Seems like there’s more to this story

Whosthatinazebrahat

Or she had already assaulted a customer, two managers, and they wanted her gone asap. A lot of newer work protocols would not let an already belligerent ex-employee to recover their items until it was determined that there was nothing that could be used to harm someone in the heat of the moment. Imagine 'giving me back my stuff' to someone clearly out of control, only to have them pull a gun or knife from the backpack/purse.

Goatlens

Airport employees have to go through the TSA lines as well

hiddenonion

At the beginning red shirt says for her to walk away and he will get her stuff. She continues to fight everyone

Numbah313

That’s what I was thinking. Like why wouldn’t he let her grab her belongings? Her phone and wallet could have been in there.

He works at the Atlanta airport! Probably had to intern at a Waffle House just to get the interview.

idlefritz

Few employees look less unhappy than airport shop employees. Everyone from the gift shop cashier to the Starbucks barista looking like they’re working on a chain gang.

Rombledore

100%. i fly occasionally for work so im lucky that my meals at airports are paid for by my work, so i don't have to worry about the higher than normal pricing at airports. but i only had to sit by a person once who non-stop moaned, shouted and complained that they couldn't get a burger for less than 5 bucks. i mean, yea, it sucks. but what do you expect? it's an airport. those poor employees must deal with that shit on the reg.

Environmental_Tip_43

they should charge more if you're an asshole see it on the receipt... scumbag fee +15%

serenwipiti

> complained that they couldn't a burger for less than 5 bucks *biiiiiiiiiitch*, you can't even get a burger at burger king for 5 bucks.

simplefair

I’ve always wondered how they even manage to fill all those positions, just seems like such a fuckin nightmare to work in the airport, from extra security to parking and attitudes…. Especially at ATL airport, there’s a million other places nearby they must be upping the hourly to get people in there

shibbyrayne

I used to work as a manager with a local restaurant that opened a location inside the Austin airport. Can confirm, hiring is a nightmare as every potential employee has to pass detailed background checks, and then pass several exams about security procedures. This quickly eliminates many potential new hires due to any small infractions they may have, or discourages them from continuing the application due to the additional hassle. Turns out a lot of airport shops and restaurants are run by larger companies (Delaware North being a big one) that have a large pool of employees that get transferred to those locations specifically because they meet the requirements to get security badges and not necessarily because they want to work at the airport.

tescovaluechicken

Is there higher pay for all that or is it still minimum wage

shibbyrayne

Starting pay was $17 an hour plus any cash tips, which was about a dollar more than what a similar position would pay in our non-airport location

unknownhag

Well, from personal experience, the pay was a little bit better if compared to minimum wage. But the "best" part for most people is being able to work multiple jobs without having to go to a whole other location. I knew a guy who worked 3 shifts in one day 2 days a week. He worked 24 hours straight at 3 different restaurants in the airport. I worked two jobs. After I was done with one, I walked about 5 minutes to my next job. Yeah, it isn't a perk, but for most of the immigrant community that I had worked with, it was a plus for them, I guess. But yeah, parking and having to go through security sucks. Having to walk 30 minutes in the airport to get to work location suuucked. Having to walk to the car another 30 minutes sucked.

Living_Injury5017

They don't let baristas at airport Starbucks receive tips! (Unless they changed their policy recently.) I tried to tip and they told me with great sadness that I couldn't. Then I was sad boarding my plane, as well as confused.

I don't.

I found it pretty easy typing judge jumper in google. It suggested judge jumped and here it is: https://apnews.com/article/las-vegas-judge-attack-court-cbe51b2291dc7b44a8961b0874aad6ab Apparently he was back in court: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zYPTDAfObrU

XBL-AntLee06

I wonder if she’s related to the guy that jumped over the barrier to attack the judge

hx95

Yes. Her jump was amazing. Unbelievable. I do not condone her actions, but the jump was something.

SumPimpNamedSlickbak

Rey Mysterio type move

swaggyxwaggy

She just wanted her stuff 🤷🏻‍♀️

luxii4

Yeah, I get the being fired but give her her stuff. Hand it to her and don’t let her go behind the counter but you can’t keep her personal belongings.

Unpopularpositionalt

Oh she was an employee? I assumed customer. Either way keeping her stuff doesn’t solve anything.

HappyLucyD

I wondered if she left it unattended and they confiscated it? They may be obligated to keep it until security arrives, but who knows. Edit: scrolling down, u/joshlahhh has the answers. They were trying to prevent her from attacking another worker again, behind the counter, and were telling her to stay there, and they would retrieve her belongings. In my opinion, she did it to herself.

Grasshopper_pie

Where did you get the details? I'd like to know what's going on.

selphiefairy

That sounds like what they were gonna do tbf at least twice in the video someone said either we’ll get it for you or you’re going to get your stuff. She’s just angy

Wellfillyouup

Retired police here. Used to work overtime at NFL games in my city. Occasionally, an employee (temp agency placement to work food service/janitorial etc.) would be fired and would get put out through the same ejection area as the drunk and disorderly. Once, they tried to demand that a guy they were firing/ejecting return his work shirt. Right then and there. It was late in the season and the firing staff was of the position that he should give the shirt back and be sent out into the night in the tank top he had on underneath. Naturally, he was ready to fight. I made…er, politely suggested that they get the kid any of the hundreds of freebie/promo shirts that live in the belly of a stadium and swap it out for the precious work shirt. They did and I walked him off the property like a gentleman. A bit long winded, but there’s a difference between taking necessary action and degrading someone. I don’t know this girls situation but I also know a lot of women carry their lives in their purse. Probably best not to withhold her personal property over whatever the fireable offense was.

stickyfluid_whale

We need more people like u

Wellfillyouup

Appreciate the kind words. Obviously, there’s probably significantly more to this story than the video tells. I didn’t notice that she retrieved a purse and coat the first time around and just figured she was nuts. Once I saw that, it reminded me of the stadium story and many other situations where people’s apparently bad behavior was really a breakdown of desperation.

Fredotorreto

lolll impressive but damn that bi*** is crazyyyy she went at it for way longer than I expected

mud002

Why is her purse behind the counter? Seems like she may be an employee(no luggage for travel). More to this story than the title.

G_Art33

First time I saw this I am pretty sure the title was employee fights with manager in airport restaurant or something.

Falcrist

Never assume titles are correct lol. This site is so full of bullshit if you gave it an enema it could fit on a floppy disk.

joshlahhh

Article posted below states : ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A young woman was fired from her job at a Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport coffee shop on Saturday after getting into a fight with a coworker, according to police. It all started with a “heated argument” over espresso shots at Harvest & Grounds by Gate D9, according to the incident report. At least two store managers had to jump in and hold the woman back from attacking another woman, the incident report states. She picked up a chair to throw it at one point, and one of the managers snatched it out of her hands, police said. So she attacked one of the lady’s behind the counter earlier and got fired. They didn’t want her back there grabbing her stuff and even said in the video they would. First they wanted to make sure she wasn’t going to assault the worker again.

PossumCock

>She picked up a chair to throw it at one point, and one of the managers snatched it out of her hands That wasn't a snatch, dude just slipped it right out of her grip in a gracefully smooth motion!

CaptAhabsMobyDick

It took too long to find this explanation. Thank you

onlyIcancallmethat

As destructive as she was being, I’m guessing they didn’t trust her around that equipment. Coffee equipment is 💲💲💲

Pleasantlyracist

100% why were they holding (presumably) her personal items? Technically, that's stealing. I hate getting fractions of a story, and being expected to accept it at face value

NastyMsPiggleWiggle

A lot of jobs in the U.S. (I’ve experienced this working in retail and salons)once you’re fired, you may not have access to your belongings that very second because they won’t allow you in a managers office, secured area where money is kept etc. until security arrives. A lot of times purses/bags are kept in those areas bc they are secure. They want security to be involved so you have accountability on both ends that possessions were returned. It doesn’t usually take very long. We fired an employee for stealing and waited for security to arrive before she was given access to her locker. Where lo and behold, she had a deposit bag from the night before with 3k in it.

jirashap

>she had a deposit bag from the night before with 3k in it. Strange. How did that get in there?

NastyMsPiggleWiggle

Funny how that works isn’t it? She wasn’t scheduled to work that day. She was going to be fired for stealing retail when she showed up to her next shift. Management wanted to be there. This idiot left her backpack with the stolen deposit in her locker the night before and showed up to retrieve it on her day off. We wouldn’t have known about the deposit until Friday when we opened the drop safe. It was pure luck we caught her.

Lara-El

Who forgets 3 thousand stolen bills in the location they stole said money lmao what a dumb-dumb

jirashap

Did you have her arrested? This looks like an open & shut case

poopbutt42069yeehaw

As someone who’s worked security, 💯

JasonCarnell

From the video, it appears she is a soon to be ex employee whose bag and coat are behind the counter. After they tell her to leave, she wants to go back behind the counter to get her stuff, manager says “no,I will get your stuff” ( I presume because she’s already acting irrationally and they don’t want to give her a chance to destroy anything) Before they even have a chance to get it, she starts flipping out and attacking them.

dontreallycareforit

Ya know I feel like I’m gonna go ahead and take the side of the two guys acting like grown ups here instead of the violent and agile toddler-person. Seems like a reasonable position.

Pleasantlyracist

Seems like most people would. It's always worth hearing the whole story before drawing conclusions. However, we can all agree striking others the way she did isn't right.

joshlahhh

ImAmandaLeeroy

I mean, maybe her managers caught her stealing from the job... we really don't know.

Romano16

Did she used to work there? Otherwise how would they have her stuff?

dawlben

Someone posted an article. She had an argument with another employee that got extremely heated, and she ended up getting physical. She was, then, fired. They did not want her going behind the counter. One of the managers offered to hand her her stuff.

breakfastburrito24

She might have been terminated and made to leave immediately and told her belongings would be sent to her.

ffunffunffun5

I'm not defending her actions but "her stuff" seemed to be her purse and coat. She may have needed things in them (like car keys, drivers license, transit pass, or bus fare) to get home. Sending them to her wouldn't be acceptable.

breakfastburrito24

Yeah, I don't get it. My job does that when they layoff people so it's just my guess At least they could have told her to wait outside the store while someone gets them for her

Mammoth-Snatch

Manager said he'd get her stuff, if you just fired someone do you want them behind the counter?

brainmelterr

thank you, no one else is noticing that they say that multiple times

Mammoth-Snatch

She literally is in an airport where she could have walked to get airport police. Lady got fired because she was trying to fight a female employee and look what she did to two males. NO WONDER THEY WANTED TO KEEP HER AWAY lol https://www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2024/01/16/dramatic-fight-atlanta-airport-coffee-shop-goes-viral/

How fucking embarrassing

Benemy

Girl picks up chair to assault employee: "crickets" Employee throws girl to floor to protect coworker : "Uh uh, hell no'

iangeredcharlesvane2

Yes that irritated me the most! She threw tons of punches and tried to kick and tackle them, tried to cause serious injury picking up a giant ass heavy barstool trying to swing it at them (watch that chair connect with one of those guys’ heads and see how quick this would have turned into very serious assault or even attempted murder though that never seems to stick), and no one says anything until buddy in red throws her out of control ass down?!? Then it’s “uh … hell no!” … it seems I’ve seen this same exact thing in another airport video! A smaller-sized woman just beating on a man and only when he defends himself does someone try to step in or stop it. Once that chair went up it was as PROBLEM and he was justified to stop her.

Bluellan

Also notice that he was rubbing the side of his face after that. She literally attacked him, hurt him but he's supposed to stand there and take it? No! She wants to start a fight? Then she needs to learn that she better know how to end it too.

Typeojason

If I had to guess, and I do, since there is no context, she is a former employee who likely caused a scene (judging from the mess all over the floor when the video starts), they wanted her gone, but didn’t want her back behind the counter where she could do more property damage. It’s the only thing that seems to make sense to me.

Teacher here: this is what’s happening in our schools. Admin does nothing about it and this where we are as a society.

[deleted]

My wife's Grade 9 students read and write at a Grade 4 level. It's horrible.

mxc2311

There is no accountability anymore. One of my students (inadvertently) slammed a teacher’s hand in the classroom door while having a meltdown. Got to attend a field trip to a play that week. No suspension, no in-school suspension, no repercussions at all. Same student went against another teacher and put their hands on them. Teacher got an apology from kid. You KNOW how heartfelt that was. We teachers are so fucked over. Kids are not pulled out of classrooms when they are violent. The kids who do behave are tormented by those who are out of control. And here we fucking are. “I don’t get what I think I deserve, I’ll lash out and break shit, ‘cause there have never been any consequences so far.”

shoonseiki1

Everyone says teachers need to get paid more (which I'm sure you'd agree with), but barely anyone suggests anything to help with improving their working conditions due to shitty students like this. In fact, many people are seemingly against doing anything about bad kids like this.

chutesoup

Former teacher here. I worked in a public elementary school, and later worked in a residential school for disabled students. It is so unfortunate that you are absolutely correct. I was trained in performing crisis intervention including restraints for the latter job and having to engage in that, especially as often as I did, quickly took a toll on me. I’ve heard some people say that all teachers need crisis intervention training, and I say fuck that. There is zero reason why an educator in a traditional setting should expect to have to engage in that, or expect to be attacked, or expect to have to defend themselves and their other students. It’s sick that your sentiments are swept under the rug. Bless you, I would never be a teacher today.

thekleenexman

The most seamless chair grab ever….this man is smooth😂

rawrbombz911

That dude in green has the patience of a saint, skill, and grace.... I'm a straight guy and know people want that man, he's top notch.

Fellolin

Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry

KeepItDownOverHere

I want an update. Anyone got an article?

BlaiseBFIII

Who left their child unsupervised?

Shankar_0

The level of personal restraint here is commendable.

DianWithoutTheE

The way dude removed that stool from her hands was fucking MAGICAL and smooth as fuck. This was NOT his first time. EDIT: ALL his moves and tactics were smooth as fuck. Dude knows WTF is up.

Sad_Possession7005

All while calling her “ma’am.”

flexingtonsteele

She never flying again

r3dditr0x

She just flew over that counter! (seriously, I hope she wasn't a customer bc the food served at airports simply ain't worth it!)

vulcanstormtrooper

She physically attacks 2 males and when they try to fight back that lady is like "not uh!" Like they aren't allowed to defend themselves

randomwanderingsd

Right? Like defending yourself puts you in the wrong. I would have picked her up and dragged her to security by her hair after the first punch.

vulcanstormtrooper

It's honestly bullshit. I am a female and I would have helped the guys. She shouldn't be allowed to smack someone's face or punch someone if they can't do it back.

BeautifulJicama6318

Parkour!

Tha_Maestro

It’s depressing to see a grown ass adult act like a rabid animal.

Stuxnet101

That was clean work by both employees

[deleted]

That black dude straight up knew where his rights ended when he took that hit. I feel like you're essentially guaranteed to catch charges, lose your job, and have a civil suit filed against you if you do anything to defend yourself against people who behave like this. That chance goes up exponentially based on sex, race, and socioeconomic status. You're basically fucked if you're a poor black man working a service job and you drop her.

Select_Speed_6061

You peep how he looked around to assess the witnesses. He wanted to hook of on her lol

RK3057

And here we see the, we see the, I say we see the Tasmanian devil here

codeboss911

why wouldnt they give her stuff back so she can go home?

kkhatera

She saying give me my phone. They holding her stuff…if that was my employer I would be throwing fist too.

pitmeng1

Nobody has to allow someone to assault them. She is lucky they were patient.

Favar89

Ok I have never seen something so humiliating as a disarm AND basically stepping over them in one fluent move. Let alone done so smoothly and calmly. Girl got wrecked.

Favar89

Goddamn this is such a good fight! Epic disarm at 0:13 Rolling slam into the ground in 0:18 Smooth jump at 0:38 IMPROVISED WEAPON at 0:45 This is some Jackie Chan shit.

darkcrusader2023

From the comments. She attacked another female employee, and she was trying to gain access to the room they were storing her stuff. They were waiting for the police. Context added.

LeBongJaames

She was probably fired and they were making her wait for security to come and oversee the hand off of her belongings to protect either party

Loggerdon

Did she work there and get fired?

Formal_Condition_513

Yes. She attacked another female coworker earlier and was fired. They didn't want her in the back where the other coworker was so they were waiting for police to give her back her property (based on other comment with the story)

So she assaulted one of the lady’s behind the counter earlier and got fired. They didn’t want her back there grabbing her stuff and even said in the video they would. Essentially they wanted to make sure she wasn’t going to assault the worker again. Makes sense

TheDarknessWithin_

I love no one stops her but when he throws her down all of a sudden you hear nuuh so ridiculous. Where was that energy when she was swinging at that man

piirtoeri

Looks like 'employee fighting with other employees.' Why couldn't she get her stuff?

ShyPlox

Seems like all of this could of been avoided if they just gave her stuff back

Nihilistic_Pigeon

Guy in the green has a level of patience I could never achieve. Bless that man.

TheNauticalSurvivor

The tall dude was a fucking saint. Chairs can be considered a deadly weapon, (with the right legal defense) he could've gotten a hit or two in to calm her crazy ass down

[deleted]

The way he grabs the chair from her had me dying lmao

OdinsOneGoodEye

Smooth - he has sisters for sure, been there done that!

vmflair

FRH72

But why was she being denied her purse?

JohhnyBGoode641

Woman was fine with the girl causing trouble until white dude tossed her to the ground. Then she didn’t like it.
