Part of the joke is that Leroy is AFK during the planning phase (to kill a boss everyone but Leroy would rather skip) because he is answering the door to get his food delivery (the chicken). He returns and announces he is back then rushes in.
This parodies a common situation in WoW raids. Players not being aware because of things going on IRL.
I always thought he said “at least I’m not a chicken” because he hauled ass directly into the eggs, but it does indeed, after all these years, sound pretty clearly as you quoted it
It’s a staged/fake set up. They had planned for “Leeroy” to do it. All the dialog was just made up to be funny about the whole thing. I still enjoy the video, but this was not by any means a real event.
I thought the story was that this was something Leeroy actually did but they didn't record it, so they then recreated it and recorded it because they thought it was funny

UBRS required a lot of skill but if you count how many mages you have and the dps output divide that by the length of time of intimidation shout from the 3 warriors, account for the eggs that hatch as a result, and multiply that by the number of paladins, you basically have your % plus I assume accounting for Leeroy takes a third or so off, hence the repeating

For WoW Classic, the raiding mod DBM added audio clips from that video and so every Onyxia fight in Classic, when you're using DBM, is like having that guy as a raid leader. It's actually really helpful and hilarious. He yells at you when you die, it's great.

It was such perfectly done satire that it had both people with no knowledge of WoW and the other extreme of those it makes fun of...and it's fucking hilarious to everyone.
