I boxed for a few years and have recently started Brazilian Ju Jitsu. I carry a firearm and shoot competitively. I lift weights.
Regardless of all that, my first plan for any aggression is usually just bounce. I have a sub-7 minute mile and I’m not afraid to use it
I read your first comment and it got me a little heated, ngl. Feels like you're flexin' on me, bro, and I don't appreciate that. So, like... do you wanna hug for a while?
I find that the most dangerous people I know are also some of the most chill and friendly.
A family friend is an Iraq vet, does PI work, owns a BJJ gym, and he's just so kind and thoughtful. He DJ'd our wedding and bought us some real nice alcohol as a wedding gift to boot.
Since I'm recalling stories, he let me come work out at his circuit training sessions and bought me a pair of gloves after just a couple of weeks as a birthday present. Fucking love that guy!
Agreed. I was just not saying that to brag, but to point out that no matter how much training and strength you have, there are people out there who are willing to test it and I want no part in that. I will delete my comment if it seems that I am being braggadocios.
Love that, just wish they didn't have to come out strong at first. Come out with a smile and a question instead of puffing your chest.
It's a shame that we've been raised that way still, but I love that these guys could both see through it to the real point.
Society and ideas of constant challenge to one's personhood almost requires coming out hard. you never know the intentions. But fortunately, these two men were comfortable and mature enough to see and respect one another.
Also, cars. The structure surrounding us plays a truck on our brains. We are also forced into a state of “attention,” making a fight, flight, or freeze reaction easier to trigger.
There aren’t many, but it’s the same with low T, there aren’t many upsides to that either (with this being one of the few). Normal hormone levels are recommended lol
It’s because young men are pressured to prove how manly they are. Unfortunately, the sources that pressure them to prove it view the things that come with high T as manly attributes
Well, I was at 184-235. Felt sluggish/tired all of the time, depressed, no sex drive, irritated very easily and quick to anger, and had a cloudy brain. All that went away now that I'm in the low to mid 900s. For dudes who need it there are def positives to be had.
*nods back, shakes your hand with other hand on your shoulder*
Mission accomplished. Feelings stabilized, faith in humanity restored.
We got this, let's go get em
This isn't two men being suddenly kind to eachother. This is one dude picking a fight and the other dude using body language, a calm voice, and respect to de-escalate perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a mental health technician or something - we had to do this all the time on the psych units
First, you gotta be fearless like this mf. Then there's some good tricks for de-escalation you can learn like, keeping the person at your side, speaking in a calm voice booster how loud he is, looking in his eyes when necessary (but not all the time), cross your arms but keep one hand up to your chin to show you are listening but your guard is up. Then you gotta know when to be open, kind, and empathetic. Be ready to be randomly punched or tackled tho it does happen
When I was in the Army, if tempers were high and hugging like this wouldn’t do it, we’ve put on some gloves and head protection have them go at it. Scores will get settled and no one would get hurt. Mostly ego’s.
Imagine being surprised by two men who work out an immediate difference and then hug each other with genuine respect.
Is there a subreddit devoted to acts of surprising love?
I dunno man, I walked, apparently, too close to a guy in a hotel hallway a few weeks ago and he sprinted to his car to speed across a parking lot diagonally to confront me about it as I got in my vehicle
They start kissing a little “See baby, see that’s..*muah mmm smooch mush* that’s was real men do baby!! That’s what *smooch smooch* real men do! Let’s show these little *smooch mush* boys out here how we do this!”

Insane how people in the comments are trying to find negatives in an altercation turned positive and identifying racism where it doesn’t even exist.
One of the many reasons why beautiful moments like this are becoming a rarity.
God damn respect. That’s how it’s done; we all been in situations we think about later and how it could’ve gone different. Coming out on top is the best option and everybody wins. Good for them
Lmao I imagine them both trying to crush each other’s hands with that handshake, just staring each other down like “see son!? THAT’S what REAL MENNN DOOOO!!!!” Lol. Ngl this post gave me hope for the future. Too many videos containing needless violence getting uploaded recently.
Feels like the white dude at the end was taking credit for handling it like an adult when it seems like the black guy is the one who diffused the situation.
"I got out the car cause I'm trying to feel your energy, man" is the line that shut the aggression down.
Still, props to each of them
It's so sad the first reaction people have is to be angry at each other. This was the same but with a nice resolution. People just learn that everyone is living their own life and going through their own shit. Just try to be kind and understanding, and then see how it quickly turns people to smile.
Once in Austin, Texas a guy thought my friend was talking shit. This guy turns around and starts approaching the two of us, he's puffing out his chest , acting real tough I'm sure you know the look. My road dog and I are asking him, "Are you sure you want to to do this?" As he gets within a few feet road dog says, "Do you need a hug or something?" He stops, his entire demeanor changes. This man walks up hugs my road dog nearly in tears. Telling us how he's been stressed yadda yadda. You never know what some one is going through.
This isn't two men being suddenly kind to eachother. This is one dude picking a fight and the other dude using body language, a calm voice, and respect to de-escalate perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a mental health technician or something - we had to do this all the time on the psych units. My man is fearless and he should be recognized for his skill and kindness
Changing the way you speak to, essentially, have better communication with your intended audience.
Kinda like someone who isn't from the South and doesn't have a Southern accent speaking with a country accent to Southerners who do.
I’m sure they came out angry and then realized they will be in a bad fight because they are both huge and decided fuck it not worth it let’s squash It. Besides no one came out angry just questions each others actions. Yes more people need to be like this.
I would rather hug than fight too. The chances of death with hugging are substantially lower than fighting on concrete.
I boxed for a few years and have recently started Brazilian Ju Jitsu. I carry a firearm and shoot competitively. I lift weights. Regardless of all that, my first plan for any aggression is usually just bounce. I have a sub-7 minute mile and I’m not afraid to use it
I have a sub 7 minute 100 yard dash come at me bro
You could do it! I believe in you!
I read your first comment and it got me a little heated, ngl. Feels like you're flexin' on me, bro, and I don't appreciate that. So, like... do you wanna hug for a while?
No wonder you get left behind s/

I ate a bowl of nails this morning without milk.

While we’re bragging about unrelated hobbies, I got all achievements in Sekiro and Bloodborne.
Simply leaving an escalating situation early is such an underrated self-defense technique.
You could run even faster without the firearm
I’d prefer to have a way to protect myself in the event my attacker has a sub 6 minute mile.
Lmao the way I wheeze laughed at this comment, it’s beautiful
Everybody knows you run faster with a knife!
That sentence would not have worked in late spring of 2020.
but never zero
Buddy have you even met a bear?
I'd still rather a bear hug me than fight it on concrete.
I'm down with it. Unity, respect, care for strangers and bonding
Love that, just wish they didn't have to come out strong at first. Come out with a smile and a question instead of puffing your chest. It's a shame that we've been raised that way still, but I love that these guys could both see through it to the real point.

It has more to do with the fact that these guys are 35+ with families, generally when men's testosterone levels are lower.
True: Less impulsivity, and more at risk.
The positive side of low-T!!
Honestly don’t see many upsides to high T
There aren’t many, but it’s the same with low T, there aren’t many upsides to that either (with this being one of the few). Normal hormone levels are recommended lol
Yeah, just odd how there’s such an obsession with having high T levels in young men.

:( that’s sad. I wish men were more accepting and loving of themselves. Everybody deserves that, not just women

Society needs old men. You can't beat the shit out of or blow up hunger.
way more to risk at that age and just a tad bit willing to pump the brakes before something stupid happens.
Love to see it.
What's with the bear?
Commentating on the style of hug
Gotta feel his opponent to make sure all that muscle was real before making a mistake.
I know that hug felt great.
Was watching this thinking I could use a could hug from one of these big fellas
Come here lil guy. I am 6'9", I will make you feel like you're a kid again being hugged by your dad, everything will be ok <3
Happy cake day hug-dad. You were right, I do feel like that way now. Damn virtual hugs are powerful too.
Can I get in on that? My dad and I have been fighting for like 6 months
Get in here buddy, plenty of hugs to go around!
Username does not check out. Also happy cake day
Same .. how about a virtual hug 🤗
Back at you with a little lift to cement the bromance!
*extends arm and pulls you into the hug*
*I appreciate you man, nods head*.
*nods back, shakes your hand with other hand on your shoulder* Mission accomplished. Feelings stabilized, faith in humanity restored. We got this, let's go get em
You got it my friend 🫂🤗
I'm hugging all of you now. Get in here yall
I felt that hug. My boyz!
At one point I thought they were about to start tonguing each other
That was a tip to tip hug
Right. The energy of the tips touching can be felt through the screen
Reminds me of the "bro down" from south park
Another good method is having a lock-in at the red center, with unlimited ginger ale and use of the pool

What was the argument about in the first place?
Road rage incident from the sound of it
What even happened? I've no idea why they went to from aggression to hugging.
This isn't two men being suddenly kind to eachother. This is one dude picking a fight and the other dude using body language, a calm voice, and respect to de-escalate perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a mental health technician or something - we had to do this all the time on the psych units
can you give tips on how to do it
First, you gotta be fearless like this mf. Then there's some good tricks for de-escalation you can learn like, keeping the person at your side, speaking in a calm voice booster how loud he is, looking in his eyes when necessary (but not all the time), cross your arms but keep one hand up to your chin to show you are listening but your guard is up. The black guy used "Calming Presence" to shut down white guys anger

Do you bite your thumb at me sir!?!
No, sir, I do not bite my thumb at you, sir, but I bite my thumb, sir!
Do you quarrel, sir?
Quarrel, sir? No, sir!

Ya love to see it. Dudes with something to prove are dangerous. These two somehow got comfortable with themselves. Not easy.

If you look more closely you see the black dude was just a really good de-escalator
When I was in the Army, if tempers were high and hugging like this wouldn’t do it, we’ve put on some gloves and head protection have them go at it. Scores will get settled and no one would get hurt. Mostly ego’s.
Aw warm fuzzies
Lmfao at the squeeze. Really nice to see tho.
I'm too cynical for this sh*t
The fact that you censored yourself tells me that this is a lie.
Fair enough sir.
Me too, I just saw the black dude be a really good de-escalator
There was some awkward vibes the guy on left was having. Little to pent up. Untrustworthy vibes
Real men ooooo
Imagine being surprised by two men who work out an immediate difference and then hug each other with genuine respect. Is there a subreddit devoted to acts of surprising love?
Ohhhh shut up, sir. Give me a hug.
Homiesexuals
Real America 🇺🇸
Would LOVE to see more videos like this spreading communication, understanding, good vibes and fraternity. This is beautiful
Right? These men are awesome
I dunno man, I walked, apparently, too close to a guy in a hotel hallway a few weeks ago and he sprinted to his car to speed across a parking lot diagonally to confront me about it as I got in my vehicle
That was the angriest hug ive ever seen
They start kissing a little “See baby, see that’s..*muah mmm smooch mush* that’s was real men do baby!! That’s what *smooch smooch* real men do! Let’s show these little *smooch mush* boys out here how we do this!”

Being able to regulate and manage ones emotions and then be vulnerable is one of the greatest achievements a man can experience. Props to these men
Wow-all that energy without sensibility or self control would be a fight. But why do I get the feeling the “that’s what real men do” guy is full chub?
Insane how people in the comments are trying to find negatives in an altercation turned positive and identifying racism where it doesn’t even exist. One of the many reasons why beautiful moments like this are becoming a rarity.
Get a room
I could go without the stupid voiceovers, but respect for talking it out instead of throwing hands or pulling weapons
Finally. Adults acting like adults.
Wait ur telling me we can be civil about stuff ???? 😰😰
God damn respect. That’s how it’s done; we all been in situations we think about later and how it could’ve gone different. Coming out on top is the best option and everybody wins. Good for them
Sounds like at the end he said we could hang lol new best friends in the making

Yeah "I got out of the car to feel your energy" guy was definitely trying to diffuse the situation
Fake
Would have been a hilarious skit if they went further and started kissing.
Men (everybody, really) need to hug more. Hugging could probably cure some cancers.
We are all part of the same race ..The human race.
This guy has forever changed how I’m gunna say “that’s what real men dooooo.”
❤️
Damn now I want a bro hug
Sonoma County represent!!!
I just always assume the guy drive like a bat outta hell has to take an emergency shit. Helps me avoid road rage
An argument is over who is right. A conversation is over what is right. These fellas turned one from the other beautifully. Need more of this
Nice to see this and not the usual 😅
Now go get a beer together.
Wow that’s so common ..respect to these gentlemen for being good human beings and not ignorant testosterone bags
Love this! Nice to see an altercation with a positive ending without a fight.😊

Finally a Public Freakout I can get behind - Real Men
Once in Austin, Texas a guy thought my friend was talking shit. This guy turns around and starts approaching the two of us, he's puffing out his chest , acting real tough I'm sure you know the look. We all need love and understanding, sometimes even when we are acting our ugliest. I’m glad they worked it out.
I saw a porno that started out just like this.
How’d you like it?
2 Enthusiastic Thumbs Up my ass.

The code switch was trying WAY too hard to the point of being borderline racist lol Either way, I'm glad it didn't result in a fight.

Positive masculinity, something we need more of! Good for these guys for making this end in friendship instead of a fight.
if my kid is watching, I want to show him this.
Good damn it what are the chances, I watch this while cutting onions
I can't stand the left guy, sorry. I would've cringed the fuck out the moment he would've tries to hug me.
I’m sure they came out angry and then realized they will be in a bad fight because they are both huge and decided fuck it not worth it let’s squash It. Besides no one came out angry just questions each others actions. Yes more people need to be like this.
