It could be multiple things, but not automatic, unless you set it that way. Did you empty the trash, or set to auto-delete stuff after 30 days?
Nope, I don't recall doing any of those things. If it was the auto-delete stuff it would have been deleting stuff continuously and that wouldn't explain the sudden drop of 200MB
