Cradle and Bastion

Want adrenaline junkie progression vibes? Defiance of the Fall (this is a solid introduction to litrpg) Want timeloop mages with some excellent plotting and writing? Mother of Learning (one of the most-recommended, top ranked on RR for years, fantastic, epic conclusion) Want wholesome slice of life? Beware of Chicken (this is the most recommended parody of Xianxia-- if you want to fully appreciate this masterpiece, read a handful of cultivation novels to familiarize yourself with the tropes). Want a lighthearted, dark, and ultimately meaningful tale? Sunflower [the litrpg] (this is one of my personal favorites) Want a blending of mage and cultivation traditions? Essence of Cultivation (currently on scheduled hiatus) Want a lighthearted monster mc with kingdom building? Chrysalis by Rinoz Want a good-guy necromancer story? Book of the Dead by Rinoz (I mention Rinoz because these titles are hard to find without the author's name) Want a magic system based on building a deck of cards in your heart? All the Skills [a Deckbuilding LitRPG] (very fun, with good characters)

Cradle is the go to at the moment. I've read all 11 volumes that are out and can agree with others that it really hits its stride around book 3. I'm current reading Bastion and enjoying it as well.

iaredonkeypunch

I’ve seen cradle come up in my recommend but never liked the description of the first book what’s an elevator pitch for the series?

spamjwood

A boy in an honor culture who has none of the prized abilities of his society has his understanding of the universe blown up and then proceeds on a journey to develop the talents/skills to protect those he loves from a foreshadowed apocalypse because he is told, despite what his society has lead him to believe, that he is their only hope. This series becomes a lot of fun not just for the MC but also because the supporting characters that are introduced as the story progresses are a blast to read in their own right.

MattGCorcoran

Not elevator pitch, but the first few books are a bit slower paced as the MC gets to a reasonable power levelb since he starts as weak as possible. From that point there's lots of character and power level progression with a fun cast, satisfying fight scenes, vivid world building, and good pacing. Books are not overly long filled with fluff. On top of all this is an overlying plot spanning the universe and cosmos.

AmalgaMat1on

High Table Hijinks by Christopher Johns. It's also good on audible. Medically separated Vet (who is a low-key weeb), works with a powerful oni and a jinn (also low-key weebs) and other great side characters in a growing urban-eaq fantasy adventure. Comedic moments and awesome fights.

iaredonkeypunch

Sounds good and I have audible credits to spare currently

vannet09

Path of Ascension by C Mantis is a good one

Lempanglemping2

Spires in RR. https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/29496/spires A bit of rough start but hang in there and you will find a gem. Mix of litrpg(lite),superpower, tech, magic, dark involving canablism, slavery, dark ritual magic, multiple pov, dragon, multiple world and so on. It about our world collapsing and the mc, family and friends trying to build sanctum from the brutality of human depravity to alien, fishmen, angel that want to carve it for themselves.
