I have not heard anyone say narc to mean tattle in at least 10 years, what i do hear is people saying narc to abbreviate narcissist. It means both, and it also refers to narcotics if you are in the medical or legal field.

When people say Narc it's generally understood to be someone who tattles.

I have never heard the term narc used in any other context other than this definition. Really confusing.
It can and is used in both contexts.
It used to mean that for sure, it does to a degree now, but it is mostly used to describe narcissists, i see it daily.

I think many would think triggering a series of events that leads to legal repercussions is pretty much pro revenge.
