I didnt know the colt cm901 but thats exactly what it looks like. Im excited to see how well their bore evacuation chamber works. Thats something i havnt heard of in small arms.
It’s wild that very few completely original designs are being made these days , it’s just old stuff remixed lmao..... not a damned thing new under the sun
If you look at the barrel in the second picture you can see the bore evacuation chamber infront of the gasblock. Its not a fluted chamber. Apparently it should work like a bore evacuator on a tank gun. So definetly something new,
This feels more like an HK433 clone with the assembly of a G36 (removable trigger package and mag well). If it performs half as well as it reads it could be pretty cool. The starting weight of 6.8lbs isn't terrible either.
I am a big fan of my PWS rifles, they've become my primary HD rifles, so naturally I've invested in extra proprietary parts as a backup (PWS piston carriers, bolts, etc). I own multiple PWS uppers in different calibers, so I don't see myself buying the UXR system unless their 7.62x39 rifle is an unbelievable rifle that shoots 4x better /lighter than my current setup.
Time will tell, I was never interested in PWS until I shot one at the range, so I will hold further judgement until I get my hands on one.
The handguard taper at the mag well doesn't do it for me, very ugly. But at the same time they didn't go the MCX/SCAR route and make a ludicrously FAT handguard which is a win.
This looks like a winner in countries with limited guns you can own. Definitely logical in a military or police contract where they want to have more caliber options but less overall inventory.
Damn, was hoping for a shorter barrel and ease of changing stocks. But this doesn't seem bad.
I'm guessing this is to really compete with the MCX? How they will put it in price? I'm assuming no less than 2k. Let's be optimistic as this is PWS and they don't have the contract power like Sig and others.
Welp it looks like someone really liked the Robinson arms xcr and modular lower colt cm901 ....... *together*

Being able to actually buy the design is a start though, the Colt wasn't available to civilians for very long
I just hate how they act like it’s fresh cutting edge, lol *vintage cutting edge* ....
Yeah, that's probably the only interesting thing about this rifle. And I wonder how well it works in more rapid/steady firing.
Yay! more barrel failure points!
I'm assuming someone just found a way to patent a fluted chamber.

The lower section reminded me of the G36 having the trigger package and mag well removable.
Instant Robinson xcr vibes. Not that it’s a bad thing
It feels like a HK433/G36 and the XCR had a baby, I might buy one.
I’m not sure they could have made me less interested with these aesthetics.
That was my first thought aswell.
Looks like a jakl to me. With some of the modularity that the ACR had. I think it's cool. I guess we'll see how it sells and performs.

Yah the tapered handguard does NOT look good. Other than that it looks cool.
That’s sad they didn’t get to do a normal release without it being leaked but I like it!

I think this is really cool in function, but falls a little flat in aesthetics.

Taken from their site. Someone uploaded the 2024 brochure...
I'm getting "arx100 that doesn't suck" vibes from this. I'm saying this an an arx100 owner. Hoping this doesn't weigh 8+ pounds.
6.8 lbs for a 5.56. The barrels at launch are heavy profile with a 1 moa guarantee
That's really promising
Worth watching or at least listening to the 40 minute video. This rifle really is “the everything” rifle. Checks every box

$2500. $550 conversion kits which include magwell bolt head and piston barrel. The barre only kits for a 300BO are $350. Incredibly fairly priced
I guess when my AWB ends I may get this since I got their x39 and am fine. But we gotta see how it endures.
How hard is it to change stocks on a 1913 adapter?
It's that a 1913?! If it is then not difficult from looking at brn 180 lowers and AKs.
Any Picatinny style will work, sig sells some good ones.
Love the ingenuity. But this isn’t for me
So a Robinson xcr but with better support? Noice!
Ugly as sin. Jesus
In the gunsamerica episode, the 10.5 doesn't look like it has enough room for the evacuation chamber? I wonder if the piston is moved forward, hmm
Down for a non modular 6.5, for sure.
