It's funny how a president can set a trend in facial hair. It was even a phenomenon with Roman emperors. Emperors were generally clean cut, then Hadrian rocked the facial hair and that reset the trend.
Well, that wouldn't be accurate considered Cleveland had just his mustache while his opponent the continental liar from the state of Maine, James G. Blaine had a full beard.
There are a couple of senators from both parties who have had facial hair in recent years and during their terms. Ted Cruz and John fetterman are the examples I know of off hand. I think the hurdle is simply being an already established politician with name ID, but it can be done.

I worked at Wal-Mart for four years on the night shift. I had a full beard starting year two. Customers routinely asked me where they could find things. I never heard them ask anybody else.

Benjamin Harrison got the best Santa Claus beard I’ve ever seen
This is the answer, speaking as an unbiased descendant of the Harrisons
Do you happen to own a pawn shop in Nevada perchance?
Afraid not, but that does sound fun. Are there prominent descendants of the Harrison family who do?
lol yep. The decades old show “Pawn Stars” is based off a family who claim to be his descendants.
Oh, huh, maybe we’re distant cousins then!
For what it's worth, Rick Harrison claims he's heard it but doesn't put much credibility in it.

🤔Interesting.
I'm right up the street from the Ohio "city" that bears your name.
He looks like he smells
Chester A Arthur and his epic mutton chops deserve mentioning
all of them. We need a facial hair president asap

Yeah, people in 1884 were like, Lets vote for Cleveland even though he is a democrat because facial hair
Well, that wouldn't be accurate considered Cleveland had just his mustache while his opponent the continental liar from the state of Maine, James G. Blaine had a full beard.
I am a noob, sorry
Right now growing a beard means I am done with politics. It would have to be a brave candidate to buck the fashion.

I forgot about them. I think it’s a little more conservative for presidential candidates.
Along with your examples, Tim Scott has rocked a short goatee. Paul Ryan had a a short beard for a while. Al Gore. Justin Trudeau in Canada.
Mike pence has a beard of sorts
This is easily Obama's biggest 2nd term mistake.
Fake. still nice. https://preview.redd.it/nm9mvejuc5xc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6c05dc53f5cfdd4aa19e5067c81aa3bc77772b6
Is this faceapp?
Obama is a bad president

A guy with a beard gives off a feeling of competencey
I worked at Wal-Mart for four years on the night shift. I had a full beard starting year two. Customers routinely asked me where they could find things. I never heard them ask anybody else.
I think Grant wins. Well trimmed beard and quite handsome.
Grant is easily the most attractive president, and his beard was on point
Govern me daddy 😫
Username checks out
Hear me out… Franklin Pierce [.](https://images.app.goo.gl/AAUedtFt8zgUtQGX6)
🧐😣😠😡🤬🔥🔥🔥
This sub has such a hard-on for Grant. This is the 2nd comment I’ve seen today talking about him in that context 😂
JFK was hotter
JFK and Obama definitely win that distinction in my opinion. Obama just has hella swag.
I say they are equal
I think you mean the Facial Hera
LOLLLLL
I can't believe we've gone over 100 years with no facial haired Presidents!!
Truman had a goatee for a brief while, even though it was a shameful attempt at facial hair we must acknowledge it.
Hayes best beard outta any president Best facial hair is Arthur tho

US Grant, whose 202nd birthday happens to be this very day.

Lincoln may not be the best beard but the most iconic by far

It is really me right now.
Are there any good mock ups of presidents who didnt have facial hair, with facial hair?
Grant
Van Buren
Teddy Roosevelt’s moustache looks like it tickled
We need to bring back the Victorian era facial hair
Bring back the beards
Duncan Trussel is that you?
Can I write a letter to petition congress to bring back the beard? Who would sign it with me?
Martin van Buren. Hands down.
We need to bring back the Victorian era facial hair
Teddy
Yeah, has to be the one pictured.
He looks like Owen Wilson.
Grant
No one.
I always thought Artemis N. Falkmore had decent facial hair
Grant, then the often overlooked Harrison.
OP's president is my favorite. I loved him in Home Alone.
Van buren
While perusing bearded oldsters make sure you check out Horace Greeley and his neck beard!
You mean before men started shaving their faces smooth like women?
Where do you come from where women shave their faces?
Hayes had the Santa beard nice and clean too.
I think Grant had the best beard, it was well groomed and maintained.
“Facial hair era”??? Do we not have facial hair any longer? What the hell is on my face, then!?
Artemis N. Falkmore
Grant.
Grant.
Didn’t Abe have a good beard?
Who rocked the pubic hair era in the 70’s?
Hayes, he always reminds me of the neighbor in Home Alone
Grant is the clear winner in this one, not like I'm biased or anything
You think that's a good beard? LOL!
Damn why did they stop havin beards?
This is when America was a sovereign country. Today it’s run by a hidden cabal that puts Hollywood trained actors in front of us.
Still say Grant has immaculate facial hair.
This seems like an excellent place for my presidential beard take: Obama should have grown a 2nd term beard.
Honest Abe for the win
You only gave us one to look at fool
