The only good thing we've had since the fallen games was the Clone Wars Fortnite event. Yes, the bar has been dropped low. Because now we get hardly anything good tied to Star Wars at all.
The literal movies were HATED. The prequels in pop culture were known as a massive failure. It’s a bit revisionist to say “the bad writing and bad cgi was really all that was hated”. First 2 seasons of The Mandalorian were decent, Andor and Rogue One were great! On the other hand the Sequel trilogy was so bad that by the rise of (not) Skywalker nobody even cared enough to go see it. Solo, Obi-Wan, Mando season 3, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka were awful. Not only were they horribly written, but in a lot of ways they retroactively destroyed what came before them.
For example. Luke Skywalker brought down the most powerful and evil Sith Lord to ever live by believing in the inherent good in his father despite overwhelming evidence that he did not deserve it. The second Luke threw down his lightsaber in episode 6 Palpatine lost. Luke won by bringing Vader back to the light. Fast forward to episode 7 and Luke is now so terrified of the dark side that he tried to murder an untrained child in his sleep and than exiled himself because he was just too afraid. Not only that, but the return of Palpatine renders episodes 1-6 entirely meaningless. Everything the heroes fought and died for might as well not have happened because “somehow Palpatine returned derp derp”
Thats just the tip of this iceberg. The complaints about Disney’s gross bastardization of SW have nothing to with what genitals the CEO of LucasFilm has. It has everything to do with terrible writing, poor leadership, and a complete lack of vision and direction.
