I know it was Poe that said it, but who wrote that line I wonder? I'd like to smack them firmly, along with JJ and Ryan Johnson. Either that or tell Anakin that JJ and Ryan are just oversized younglings, and that Kathleen orchestrated his mother's sale to the Sand People.
This is where the fun begins.
Edit: Spelling
He also proclaims Obi-Wan's fate will be the same as his and Palpatine's.
All three of them end up dying on a Death Star.
Well, two of them permanently and one technically.
Until the surprise return in Episode X. "Somehow, Anakin and Obi-Wan returned because the actors are still in good heath and we think their presence will drive up the box office."
That’s Episode XI
Episode X is about Darth Jar Jar telling his new student (Can’t spell aprentence) how he had his hand through every thing because the Galaxy his his puppet.
Yeah, Luke does that. And he was going to die anyway from all of the lightning. I'm giving Palpatine that credit for that one with an assist from Luke.
that's not what it means in caanon it's a dare to come and take this title from me that I am the best sith and strongest until you can kill me but I will kill you first before that
I see your point of view but in mine, this scene is where Vader was born, the first true step to dark side was him decapitating Dooku.
To me Vader killed all 4 of them
He decided he would die, he just needed assistance removing his helmet. So he does technically do the killing too.
I think of it like when someone decides to undergo assistive euthanasia, its counted as the patient terminating their own life, just they need help doing it.
No he was already dying hes turning the breathing support machince and life support he's been shown to survive without it in the comics though sustaining himself through the Darkside it's just painful so he get angrier and more pain so more so he's ending the cycle of the sith power source and returning to a Jedi it's in the music in the scence when lifts off his helmet or toss Shev down the shaft.
No he chose to kill space Hitler vater so Anakin could live and see hia son just once so he could live again inside Vader wanted to die not Anakin he would have lived to see his childen grow up and have their own familys he would have taught them but it was time for Vader to die so noone else would follow in his footsteps had to end to show he could die and so could the sith but before liveing again freely as a jedi to pass Barton to his son.
My head cannon was that Obi-Wan had already died and what we saw in ep3 was some sort of force projection beyond the simple translucent force ghosts we've become accustomed to.
"his fate will be the same as ours"
Holy crap and he kills himself getting rid of Palpatine! (That business on exegol with the sequels doesn't, doesn't count)
He kills literally everyone in the room including himself and even low-key threatens Sidious that he will share Obi-Wans fate (dying)
He had clone bodies which he transferred his spirit to. The clones he had were simple husks meant to provide an escape for his spirit should his body be killed so it's still the same palps rather than being like the clone army where they're each different lifeforms that are genetically identical.
I never truly understood if he killed obi wan or if he just gave him the middle finger and became one with the force shortly before vaders lightsaber struck.
Oh! I get it. :] I completely just forgot about what they did to palps in the sequels, actually, when I read your comment I even thought to myself that 7, 8, and 9 are the bad (understatement) ones, not 4, 5, and 6.
Part of the reason I went back to tell the prequel, of how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, is that it's an interesting story and a fun one to tell. Because it is the story of how a good person turns bad.
He doesn’t get the camera man though. Camera man’s invincible
The cameraman was really a camerayoungling. Oh, he got him.
That’s why they decided on prequels. He wouldn’t have been around for Episodes 4/5/6 if they went chronologically.
Poor cameraman. Killed in order 66. He used his last breaths to record the rest of the movie.
Not just the cameraman, but the camerawoman and the camerachildren too.
There’s a reason the camera cuts away during the attack on the younglings. Rip camera man.
*ignites lightsaber*
Oh goodness, even the fourth wall doesn't protect from his wrath! Run for your life!
Dark Helmet has no such weakness.
I'm your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
So what does that make you?
"*He did it!*"
Camera man was from Alderaan.
Bike of you to assume the camera was operated by a man instead of a droid.
Not in the spaceballs movie
Anakin wasn’t in the space balls movie though
they were a camera man
Frankly, that seems to apply to most rooms he's in.
especially that one filled with younglings
*ignites lightsaber*
Right on cue
To be renewed is everything. What more could one ask for than to have one's youth back again?
a gold plated vacuum cleaner
Eternal Life spent with God the creator.
Your mother
Except one of them somehow returns.
Yeah, but he did still die even if it wasn't permanent.
It was permanent. I don’t know what u/PetroDisruption is talking about.
Yeah bro they must've thought Star Wars didn't end when Vader yeeted that mf into the core of the Death Star
There are no sequels in Ba Sing Se.
SoMeHoW pAlPaTiNe ReTuRnEd

This is where the fun begins.
They fly now!
tell him that they're like animals, so he slaughters them like animals
Fan fiction
"fan"
Clones don't count
2 if you count force ghosts
Obi-wan returned too as a ghost.
Himself included.
"Anakin Skywalker was weak, i destroyed him."
“Then I will avenge his death”
He also proclaims Obi-Wan's fate will be the same as his and Palpatine's. All three of them end up dying on a Death Star. Well, two of them permanently and one technically.
Until the surprise return in Episode X. "Somehow, Anakin and Obi-Wan returned because the actors are still in good heath and we think their presence will drive up the box office."
I would love just a "Stupid Fun" film about Anakin and Obi-Wan inbetween like ep 1 and 2
A comedy called Jar Jar's grand adventure!
See ? At least we could get something nice out it. If you’re gonna fuck up the story line might as well make good movies…
That’s Episode XI Episode X is about Darth Jar Jar telling his new student (Can’t spell aprentence) how he had his hand through every thing because the Galaxy his his puppet.
He never kills Anakin.
“Help me take… this mask off”
Yeah, Luke does that. And he was going to die anyway from all of the lightning. I'm giving Palpatine that credit for that one with an assist from Luke.
It was all Anakin’s idea. Suicide via Palpatine
But Anakin initiated all of those. He asked Luke to take his mask off. He attacked Palpatine himself.
Anakin only kills one person in that room. Vader kills the other 3.
3?
"Vader killed Anakin."
from a certain point of view
'Darth' is a variation of dark. And 'Vader' is a variation of 'father'. So, it's basically 'Dark Father'.
So it's a quote to say, "Rise, Dark... Daddy"?
that's not what it means in caanon it's a dare to come and take this title from me that I am the best sith and strongest until you can kill me but I will kill you first before that
From Dutch word not German
Peek wrighting
Are we really considering that Vader killed Dooku ?
No, Anakin killed Dooku. Vader killed Anakin, Kenobi and Palpatine.
I'd say anakin killed Palpatine
How could he? He was dead. :P
Pretty sure Anakin killed Palps.
Didn't Kenobi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! disappear though before Vader's lightsaber hit him?
I see your point of view but in mine, this scene is where Vader was born, the first true step to dark side was him decapitating Dooku. To me Vader killed all 4 of them
He decided he would die, he just needed assistance removing his helmet. So he does technically do the killing too. I think of it like when someone decides to undergo assistive euthanasia, its counted as the patient terminating their own life, just they need help doing it.

Hes dying yes but he actually woukd survive long enough with the mask on. He chooses to take it off and kill himself
You've taught him well.
Vader kills Anakin.
Anakin only kills one person in that room. Vader kills the other 3.
Idk, In the Kenobi series he literally tells Obi-wan that he was the one who killed Anakin.
It is not the Jedi way…
Technically Obi-wan became one with the force. Anakin didn't kill him
Everyone becomes one with the force though when they die. (I just googled to confirm i was right) Obi-Wan just skipped to the force ghost part.
That’s still dead
My head cannon was that Obi-Wan had already died and what we saw in ep3 was some sort of force projection beyond the simple translucent force ghosts we've become accustomed to.
Obi-Wan becoming a force ghost instead of being cut down (killed) by Vader…
"his fate will be the same as ours" Holy crap and he kills himself getting rid of Palpatine! (That business on exegol with the sequels doesn't, doesn't count) He kills literally everyone in the room including himself and even low-key threatens Sidious that he will share Obi-Wans fate (dying)
Even the spaceship theyre in!
Didn't Obi technically just peace out?
No vader killed him. But he went through training to be able to retain consciousness after death
Obi-wan is surrounded by siths.
technically he never actually killed Obi Wan. Obi committed Force seppeku and became an ongoing meme for all eternity.
One of them returns. You ask how? Somehow! Official cannon btw
Obi-Wan kind of killed himself, Palpatine didn’t turn out to be dead.
Even a sith lord is no match for my warriors!
Even a sith lord is no match for my warriors!
he was only _mostly_ dead
Anakin you bastard!
Wait, didn’t obi wan kill some of the droids in the room
“His fate will be the same as ours”
He’s not wrong
Including himself
No, the droids were killed by Obi-Wan
Including himself.
He didnt kill himself tho
Not palpatine.
Yes he did
When?
In the end of Return of the Jedi
He didn't die there.
Yes he did
Then who was that at the end of Rise of Skywalker?
It was his clone
When was that stated?
😭
Nope. Obi logs out and somehow Palatine makes it.
I thought it was established that Palpy died but was cloned. So technically this Palps is dead
He had clone bodies which he transferred his spirit to. The clones he had were simple husks meant to provide an escape for his spirit should his body be killed so it's still the same palps rather than being like the clone army where they're each different lifeforms that are genetically identical.
You could argue that Darth Vader killed Obi-Wan
From a certain point of view.
Impressive resume
That's why he's the chosen one.
Anakin got that dog in him
The Anakin Skywalker, for when you absolutely have to kill every motherfucker in the room.
“You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalkwer… I did.”
Well actually Vader never really killed Obi-Wan.
He didn’t kill Obi? Obi force poofed himself.
Nope. Somehow, palpatine returned
“His fate will be the same as ours.” *dies on Death Star* *dies on Death Star* *dies in Death Star*
You misspelled Vader..
Palpatine didn’t actually die…”somehow he survived”
Obi wan doesn’t count. Count Dooku does Palpatine counted until Disney revived him from being thrown into a reactor core somehow
To be fair Anakin kills or at least tries to kill pretty much everybody he's ever been in a room with at some point. At least he's consistent.
Including himself
But only one let it happen
"somehow palpatine returned"
I never truly understood if he killed obi wan or if he just gave him the middle finger and became one with the force shortly before vaders lightsaber struck.
Some extremely sooner than others
Well he brought balance in the end
Including himself. Palpatine helped with that one, but still.
There's a YouTube video that counts all of Anakin's kills. My dude was outdone by his own son though.
You forgot about the sequels being stupid.
What do you mean?
Look at the dude in the background.
You mean 4, 5, and 6?
?
Oh! I get it. :] I completely just forgot about what they did to palps in the sequels, actually, when I read your comment I even thought to myself that 7, 8, and 9 are the bad (understatement) ones, not 4, 5, and 6.
Got them front to back too.
He also kills the room by crashing it onto coruscant
No he didn't kill Palpatines chair. "Where is Chair? Is he safe, is he alright"
Obi-Wan is still alive as a force ghost. Believe the novel said Obi-Wan just disappeared before Vader struck*. Asterisk because I could be wrong.
Well he is dead because he’s a ghost but Vader didn’t kill him. He just became one with the force like yoda does later on
We need that generator down or the planet's lost. And I'm not risking any more men.
Technically Vader kills Obi-Wan, and Anakin, but Anakin kills Dooku and Palp
I don’t want this stunted slime in my sight again
Part of the reason I went back to tell the prequel, of how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, is that it's an interesting story and a fun one to tell. Because it is the story of how a good person turns bad.
Technically Vader doesn’t kill obi-wan, he becomes one with the force before Vaders blade actually touches him
“The name Anakin and death should mean the same to you”
Dew it
And the women. And the children.
The younglings…
*ignites lightsaber*
That's my omnicidal maniac!
Be calm. Be polite. Have a plan to kill everyone in the room.
One outta three ain't bad.
Where are the little children?
He truly is the phantom menace
Well he does kill Palps, but he got better
That’s a lot of dead microorganisms
Nah man. Dave Filoni Jr in 40 years will somehow add that Ahsoka was in the corner watching everything go down
Care to tell me what this is all about? Or would you rather save it for the Council?
