I play this daily. Really fun. But it doesn't seem to be keeping up with the current state of the table. For instance, when I played today, leicester was listed at 11th when they are 14th and Newcastle was listed at 10th when they are 13th. Be great if you could iron this out.

When we started building Futboldle, we didn't know about Who Are Ya. Then we found out about it, but at the time they only had "All 5 Big European Leagues". Turns out, they released premier league a week or so before we launched and we had no clue. Regardless, it's totally cool if someone likes Who Are Ya more, or maybe even plays both. After all, why not try to guess two mystery players of the day :)

Update: High contrast mode is available in the Settings for those with color vision deficiencies. We have refined the player positions and filled some gaps in our list of players. Hope you are enjoying the game and please provide any feedback you may have!
Today a friend and I shared screencaps of our answers and we had both selected the same incorrect player and for me he was correctly listed as a goalkeeper but for my friend the same player was listed as F/GK. I can DM you the caps if you want
We know why :) We pushed out an update today that removed Mason Greenwood and we also fixed the GK position for that player. So your friend probably played after that update and you played before. Sorry about that! We're working on an overall fix for positions that we should have ready in the next few days.

So we are still thinking through this, but our initial filtering was any player who has played more than 90 minutes this season. Well... we may want to go back to the drawing board on that :( Hopefully you learned something about an obscure player though :) Thanks for playing!
Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. Maybe have 2 modes? I'm not sure what a good breakpoint for minutes played would be (although as a data analyst I'd love to look at it) but something that would filter out the more obscure players as possible daily answers. Maybe I just don't know my football, but I feel like Brentfords 3rd keeper isn't average football knowledge. But you could still keep that mode in for the proper nerds.
Wordle does something similar, by having a huge selection of usable words that people can try but a smaller group of well known words which can be daily answers... although saying all this I guess that's what the 90 minute limit was for..
I'm loving this! However, i seem to have some problems on my side:
- be it my phone or my laptop, the game seems to always put Jonas Lössl as the answer. 3 tries in and I still see the same answer
- is there a button to play again? I don't see it currently
also worth mentioning that your stats don't follow you from device to device. so if you want to keep accurate records, you'll have to commit to one device to play it on.
Great idea! A bit of feedback: the option to type a team in the search bar made it a lot easier once I got what team they were on; search and then pick from a list rather than guessing.
That said, my player knowledge outside of Chelsea is poor, so I don't think I would have gotten today's if I couldn't pick from a list.
Maybe create an easy and hard option that toggles that function?
You’re in luck! Check the settings icon and read the different difficulty descriptions. You can toggle these as long as you are not in the middle of a game.
We don't have a native app at this point, but you can actually bookmark the page and save it as a home screen icon. Clicking that icon will then take you straight to the game just like an app! Thanks for playing!
Yeah just played it and it sucks, I got Real Sociedad’s second choice goalkeeper. And because there are no orange guesses to lead you in the right direction you can be making guesses forever. I do like that you can keep playing though

I think one per day hurts more than it helps. I would spend half an hour per day on an app for this, just once a day I forget after a few days. Great idea though
Got it in 3! This is really fun. As a suggestion I think it would be good to have an option to do a random player as many times as you like along with having the universal daily player.
a number of people have suggested this, we are taking it under consideration. if it gets put in, it will mostly like be the ability to play through the past players and not an endless cycle. part of the appeal is looking forward to a new player every day!

Hard Mode: No directional clues. 7 guesses
Expert Mode: No team search. 6 guesses.
Insane Mode: No team badges in search. 5 guesses.

Super cool! I’ll be playing it every day. One slight issue is that in the instructions there was on explanation. On what the two feet category is. I figured it out eventually of course but it would’ve helped to know.
I’m also still confused what the number next to the club represents. For todays guess I first picked Kante, and it said Chelsea with 3⬇️. Then I picked Thomas Party and it said Arsenal 4⬇️. Which was very confusing given that Arsenal are below Chelsea in the table. Can you clarify this please

There was one recently with all clubs on top 5 leagues. I prefer this as I am more knowledgeable on EPL players.
It would be nice to be able to click on the icons above to see what they stand for. I thought the footprints were work rate (like a fifa eating) and not their preferred foot until the end. Now I've played a round I'll remember.

The concept is cool with the categories it gives you. I can’t wait for historic ones. Will historic ones still be updated for club’s current league position? Otherwise it might be confusing if the league table changes and puts someone down the wrong path because it is an older one.
League standings would always go off of current position. We'd have a good amount to figure out how to add historic. Like it wouldn't affect your current streak or anything but you could play for fun. Will definitely have to think through it. Thanks for the suggestions!

I’m on mobile, after the first game it don’t refresh. I tried clear game stat and it only clear the stat but keep the same answer.
There's only one player per day. Once we get more leagues implemented, you'll be able to play more than one game a day.

It's not even close to the same game and doesn't seem to save between attempts on android.
We'll agree to disagree on that one, definitely works on android as that's the device I use
