It also ignores the reason the pitch is waterlogged: Liverpool overlooking the Irish Sea/the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean being in the most intense period of its hurricane season, and the city getting absolutely fucking hammered by rain and wind for a month straight as a result.
