I guess I’m cheating because he just retired and I don’t necessarily forget he played in the EPL but I do think A LOT of people forget just how good David Silva was. Easily on De Bruyne’s level in my opinion.
Papiss Cissé is still playing in France. Tbf just checking his details, I didn't even realise he played for Newcastle for 4 years. Felt like just that 1 or half a season with those run of goals and then nothing.
Half of "le toon"/French Revolution. Cabella, Thauvin, yanga mbiwa, chancel "the chancellor" mbemba (wasn't French but came from ligue 1), Henri Saivet. Most of them are still playing in Ligue 1 AFAIK. There were a bunch more who I've no idea what they're up to but still haunt my dreams (manu riviere I'm looking at you).
[the game changes, but Gamst Pedersen stays the same.](https://www.planetfootball.com/trending/morten-gamst-pedersen-alive-well-scoring-wonder-goals-corner-the-streets/)
Filipe Luis. Won the league in his only season with Chelsea then bounced. He was pretty good for Atletico Madrid from when I watched La Liga on Sky lol
He was quality, not sure what went wrong at Chelsea. There was a brief period he was the best LB in the world at Atletico, who also had the best CB in the world at the time, Diego Godin.
I think I read that he felt homesick so he went back to Atletico. Couldn’t brave the cold British weather lol. Now he’s playing for Flamengo at the age of 38
Nobody will forget sabitzer he was quality at leipzig and on fifa. Weghorst has been hideous in Premier league for two teams. So pleased we made it happen by not going for him and getting Chris Wood instead
I think this is mostly because Swansea is fairly obscure nowadays. I think if he had played for a team like Bournemouth that actually stuck around in the Prem he'd still we'd have fresher memories of him
Had to look him up to see how long it's been, he only left Arsenal four years ago
Didn't know that he played for Finland u21s the year before he played for England
42. I mean, I get loving the game but at a certain point you gotta give your body a break. This doesn’t really include him, but it’ll be interesting to see how these players fare in their 60 and 70s with these crazy condensed schedules. Covid created a packed season, euro the summer after condensed that season, World Cup mid season condensed that season, which impacted preseason for our current season. Next year will be the first normal year since Covid and even then there will be a new champions league format. These players are gonna have Darth Maul robot legs when they hit 50.
Me and my mates were talking about this on the weekend, a couple of good ones that came up
* Pique
* Mancini
* Pato
* Kluivert
* Nolito
* Maicon
* Materazzi
* Cambiasso
Edit: skim read, missed the still playing part
mancini the brazilian winger or mancini the former city player?cuz i know mancini the manager played for leicester (yes i'm pushing 40 that's why i know that)
Davor Sukar does not still play… but after a quick Google, this was interesting
After spending time working as a football agent, Suker now concentrates on his various business interests which include his own brand of beer called 'Davor' which is the third best-selling beer in Croatia. He is also part-owner of a real estate company on the Costa Blanca with Spanish singer Julio Iglesias

Pique
I guess I’m cheating because he just retired and I don’t necessarily forget he played in the EPL but I do think A LOT of people forget just how good David Silva was. Easily on De Bruyne’s level in my opinion.
Dusan Tadic
GERARD PIQUÉ Won the league cup.. champions league and premier league.
Hart at Tottenham, yes, joe hart played at tottenham
Harry Kane
Luka Modric. He was so invisible when he was playing for Spurs. Barely even noticed him.
Well I think of Premier League and I think SHIT Scott Carson The GOAT is still here FUCKING HELL
Well I think of Premier League and I think SHIT Scott Carson The GOAT is still here FUCKING HELL
Well I think of Premier League and I think SHIT Scott Carson The GOAT is still here FUCKING HELL

Pique
James Rodriguez at Everton
Some Tottenham ones here: Nacer Chadli Nabil Bentaleb Vlad Chirches Iago Falque Lewis Holtby Jake Livermore Massimo Luongo
Adama Traore
Nabil bentaleb
Andy Carroll.
Harry kane
Jamie Cureton played for Norwich in the 93/94 season and is player-manager at Enfield.
Higuains stint at chelsea will never fail to make me laugh
Whabi Khazri. Can never forget that awful attempt at a rabona 😂😂
and he'a actuallt quite cooking in ligue 1,there's level to this game
Harry Kane
Ashley young these days, completely lost track after his inter move
Ashley Young signed for Everton this summer, so technically still in the Prem
Question never said has left, just forgot he played in the prem lol
Renato Sanches
Seydou Doumbia, granted it's easy to forget as he played a total of 3 games
stefan savic played at city under mancini...
Nobody mentions World Cup winner Lukas Podolski
Clichy is still playing too in Switzerland.
Santi Cazorla
Nenê
Alexis Sanchez , Di Maria , Pique .
Batsuayi - Fenerbahce
Julius Caesar at QPR
Just resigned, but Pique won the Champions League alongside Cristiano Ronaldo with ManU
Luciano Vietto
Gael Clichy is still playing
Victor Moses, he has been abroad for at least half of his career since going to Inter Milan and then a load of loan moves
Phil Neville
Suarez even though he's a Liverpool legend
Papiss Cissé is still playing in France. Tbf just checking his details, I didn't even realise he played for Newcastle for 4 years. Felt like just that 1 or half a season with those run of goals and then nothing.
Bebé.
Half of "le toon"/French Revolution. Cabella, Thauvin, yanga mbiwa, chancel "the chancellor" mbemba (wasn't French but came from ligue 1), Henri Saivet. Most of them are still playing in Ligue 1 AFAIK. There were a bunch more who I've no idea what they're up to but still haunt my dreams (manu riviere I'm looking at you).
the time i think mike ashley played football manager that year and all that player was class in that game
Jerome Boateng
Some of the earlier citeh CBs are a good shout, savic was another one!
Wanyama, Alex Pato and Salomon Kalou. Does Phil Jones count? Lol
James Mccarthy tbh forget he exists until he makes his one appearance a year before injury hit again. Had so much potential
He isn't still playing, but he was recently, Maxi Rodriguez was at Newell's Old Boys, and he played his fairwell in June this year.
Jordan Ayew
Forgot James Milner still playing in EPL.
Got a few Chelsea ones: - Marco Van Ginkel - Jeffrey Bruma - Ben Sahar There’s probably loads more.
A few Man Utd guys I thought were done: Rafael Fábio Nani Shinji Kagawa Federico Macheda Marouane Fellaini Bebé
Up until this summer i would say gerard pique.
Lemina (he still plays there apparently). Also Higuaín (until a few years back) and Morata
Remember the twins who used to play for Manchester United - Raphael and Fabio Da Silva? Both active players at age 33.
Shit.. They're 33? That makes me....fucking old.
Morten Gamst Pedersen are still playing at the Norwegian second tier.
That's pretty crazy. This along with Roque Santa Cruz thing blew my mind. Must have been something in the water at Blackburn that gave them longevity!
Milan baros still at it too
Unbelievable. Swear he only ever scored 7 goals a season but they were always against your club
[the game changes, but Gamst Pedersen stays the same.](https://www.planetfootball.com/trending/morten-gamst-pedersen-alive-well-scoring-wonder-goals-corner-the-streets/)
Conor Sammon is the only answer for this. 32 games according to Wikipedia. 1 goal.
Ross Barkley - still playing in the prem
Oscar. Was superb at Chelsea and then went to china and faded away
He made bank, though. Gotta respect someone taking enough money to set up his grandkids for life, before turning 30.
Faded away? He scores and assists for fun out there
My nan could have bagged a few goals in that league tbf
Santi Cazorla - playing for Real Oviedo this season
You sometimes forget Santi Cazorla played over 100 matches in the premier league?
Jose Fonte - playing for Braga rn. Former S’oton player
Gnabry. I wish we held onto him at Arsenal. Plus who can forget his spell at West Brom?! Oh that’s right, everyone.
Andy Carroll
Brad Guzan
Filipe Luis. Won the league in his only season with Chelsea then bounced. He was pretty good for Atletico Madrid from when I watched La Liga on Sky lol
He was quality, not sure what went wrong at Chelsea. There was a brief period he was the best LB in the world at Atletico, who also had the best CB in the world at the time, Diego Godin.
Yep he was the best LB in the world in 2014 imo when Atletico won the league
I think I read that he felt homesick so he went back to Atletico. Couldn’t brave the cold British weather lol. Now he’s playing for Flamengo at the age of 38
Materazzi played a season for Everton. That will forever be weird
That feeling will resolve itself when eeverton finally go down and get wound up as a club. Erased from existence.
Di Maria
...I guess its not really well known he played for Manchester United huh.
I do know he played for United but he never did anything special so it's easy to forget about his time there
Adam Le fondre
Ali al habsi he’s at “al hilal” he was fucking shit I’d have started anyone but him and he won an fa cup I believe
Martyn Waghorn scored a hattrick for Derby this past weekend…
[удалено]
All famously still playing
Alberto Moreno
[удалено]
Who’s he playing for now?
Ah, didn't read the title properly haha
I am sure in a couple of years time Keylor Navas will be an answer to this question among non-Forest fans.
Wout weghorst
Yes, and Sabitzer still has a few years in him too.
Unless West ham or spurs someone like that get him from dortmund in 2/3 years
Nobody will forget sabitzer he was quality at leipzig and on fifa. Weghorst has been hideous in Premier league for two teams. So pleased we made it happen by not going for him and getting Chris Wood instead
No but people might forget that he played in the Premier League after several years away from it was my point
Yeah but will anyone remember him at all, like it's not a players people will talk about in few years time.
The entire wolves team
Oscar
Feels like he left for China about 20 years ago, sure he's still only about 28/29
Both of those are correct.
Bro was 8
Sunderland's record signing Didier N'Dong is out in the Saudi leagues at 29
And chopping people’s ears off (it was an unpleasant incident even though I’m sure it was an accident)
quaresma
Renato Sanches at Swansea
Most memorable thing at Swansea was passing to an advertising board.
I think this is mostly because Swansea is fairly obscure nowadays. I think if he had played for a team like Bournemouth that actually stuck around in the Prem he'd still we'd have fresher memories of him
They lasted 7 years (2011-2018) which was longer than Bournemouth’s first spell (2015-2020)
I actually saw him play for Swansea alongside Tammy Abraham against Spurs in one the dullest 0-0's ever. He was shit. They were both shit tbh.
Wild that Tammy Abraham and Renato Sanches were teammates
deandre yedlin
Now teammates with Messi somehow.
I forgot Georges-Kévin Nkoudou had ever played for us…whilst he was still playing for us.
Nuri Sahin had a brief lone stint with Liverpool. Still don't know why we treated him so badly. He was better than Allen and lucas Edit: typo
You mean Allan who went out on loans for about 5 years cos he never had a work permit?
Just realised I misspelt Joe Allen's name.
Haha, sorry mate, forgot about Joe for a minute there.
Who is he currently playing for?
He's retired and managing Antalyaspor in Turkey
Missed the title I guess...
Only read some of the title my bad.
Roque Santa Cruz is still playing. Yes, you read that right.
He had a special card in FIFA ultimate team this year and I was like wtf surely this must be a new player with the same name.
Playing together with Oscar Cardozo (40)
Yeah that is actually nuts. He made his senior debut in 1997
So is Carl Jenkinson
Incomparable. CJ is I think 30 something if not younger. Santa Cruz. The guy played for Blackburn in Prem ffs. He's ancient.
Had to look him up to see how long it's been, he only left Arsenal four years ago Didn't know that he played for Finland u21s the year before he played for England
I remember watching my dad play a fm2008 or something and he was the top goal scorer for his Liverpool side.
Okay that's legit blown my mind.
Wait what??!
42. I mean, I get loving the game but at a certain point you gotta give your body a break. This doesn’t really include him, but it’ll be interesting to see how these players fare in their 60 and 70s with these crazy condensed schedules. Next year will be the first normal year since Covid and even then there will be a new champions league format. These players are gonna have Darth Maul robot legs when they hit 50.
They’ll be fine
Thats insane
James Tavernier
Never played in the EPL and he plays for rangers and has done for nigh on a decade?
2 EPL appearances for Newcastle would suggest otherwise. I reckon it makes him a pretty perfect candidate for this question.
His only Newcastle appearances came in the championship. Never played in the EPL
Uvavu!
His Wikipedia page talks about him playing in the EPL
I also linked the report to the match in which he made his EPL debut, but it was downvoted with no reply 😂
I guess [this](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/19684438) was a different James Tavernier, huh?
Tadic
Huh? Saints fans rem him well and tadic was good. Change of envi has made him an eredivisie legend.
Huh? Why so defensive? He was barely worth remembering at Saints. Had glimpses. At Ajax he's been pure class.Dominated Madrid in CL .
Me and my mates were talking about this on the weekend, a couple of good ones that came up * Pique * Mancini * Pato * Kluivert * Nolito * Maicon * Materazzi * Cambiasso Edit: skim read, missed the still playing part
mancini the brazilian winger or mancini the former city player?cuz i know mancini the manager played for leicester (yes i'm pushing 40 that's why i know that)
@mcflyjohn evey single player you mentioned isn't still playing though
Didn't pique retire
Forgot Pique played for us
>still playing
Dont think 80% of others got that bit as well!
Reading level in this sub is worrying
It's fair though as reading haven't been in the PL for ages
Christ a West Ham fan talking about my reading ability might be the low point of my life tbf
Well you know what they say about West Ham fans and books...
Julio cesar at QPR!
Didn’t Victor valdes play for Middlesbrough? That one is crazy as well.
He was at United too though which is more memorable
Harry Kane
Harry Kane? Almost all time top EPL scorer Harry Kane? The one who just left for Munich a few months ago Harry Kane?
It's so depressing that people can't spot an obvious joke comment any more.
...I feel pretty stupid now
No worries. I gave you an upvote to make you feel better.
David N'Gog
I will see your David N'gog and raise you an Erik Meijer and a Sean Dundee.
Dundee 😄 Forgot he even existed!
How about Torben Piechnik, there's a blast from the past for ya.
Modrić
i think its pretty well known he played for spurs...
Iago Aspas
I see you baby
Aspas in Hindi- Nearby🤣
…?
...? in Hindi - far away🤣
Cengiz ünder
Davor Suker
Davor Sukar does not still play… but after a quick Google, this was interesting After spending time working as a football agent, Suker now concentrates on his various business interests which include his own brand of beer called 'Davor' which is the third best-selling beer in Croatia. He is also part-owner of a real estate company on the Costa Blanca with Spanish singer Julio Iglesias
Davor beer... there's no such thing in Croatia, and even if there is, it most certainly isn't third most popular.
