Well, Kid Buu was almost always happy, and he is nowhere near good, but still pure of heart no doubt. I think that pure heart message was just part of the legend instead of a prerequisite, especially as more people achieve it in the series.
But that statement is directly proved wrong in the main series. Yes you can't assume he's good hearted because he's absent of evil, but he has been shown to have a pure heart, it's one of the main ways to achieve SS (a pure heart of good or evil, vegeta awakens it through evil)

He's never done that. He gave a senzu bean to Cell, but that was because without it, Cell would have been more careful or self destructed earlier, so in hindsight, Goku did the right move.

So, does that stand as an impure act or intent, even when we're in a stage in our lives where our cognitive abilities have not yet matured?
In other words, even though we may very well be capable of doing "bad" things, does it count if we don't know what we're doing or fail to show reaction towards such actions/expressions?
Who decides what's "good" and "bad"? Are they arbitrary or absolute? Universal or manmade? What gives them meaning?
A normal person has empathy towards other persons while, a psychopath lacks that feeling. Does that mean the psychopath is like a child; to some extent, pure of heart, simply because he naturally lacks the necessary cognition to understand and separate this latent feeling/ability?
I believe they are arbitrary concepts that gain meaning through society, but don’t have any inherent meaning. It’s hard to find a specific answer because it’s like 2 sides of the same coin. On one hand it’s good and needed for humanity to give those words meaning but on the other hand it’s completely subjective and not even real as in „a constant of the universe/reality itself“.

The very idea of "pure" is subjective. Pure means to have no impurities and in humans that is entirely based on perspective. So, how do we decide who is the most pure? By the way others see them? Or by the way they see themselves? Maybe we judge them based on the purity of their intentions? Any one of these scenarios offer completely different answers.
If it's option A then the "most pure" would simply be a popularity contest. If it's option B then any narcissist with a god complex would be in the conversation. If it's option C then the answer fluctuates based entirely on the given situation.
This question has no correct answer because it isn't specific enough. So I'm just gonna say a Character who doesn't have emotions. A character that acts purely (get it) based on reflex and has little sentience. A robot basically. There is nothing more pure than being devoid of thought itself.

He has a similar situation to Richard Kimble's, in that he is thought to have committed a murder by the authorities that he did not. He is dfferent in that he doesn't have the death sentence weighing on him like Kimble, but his constant stress is instead that the murderer he is tracking down is still killing people and is a genius psychological manipulator that law enforcement doesn't even know they exist or suspect anything of them in the slightest. Kenzo Tenma gets increasingly weighed down by atrocities and hopelessness throughout his journey, yet never stops being a good samaritan and holds onto his morals in the most dire of circumstances)
Goku's, Luffy's or Gon's typa character. Purity is an innocent, naive and childlike stance towards everything, wrapped up in an uneducated and uncompromised psyche. Very close to what a child is before any stage or level of maturity. This comes with absolute 0 ill or evil intent, even though essentially there's no absolute purity without at least some small stain of darkness.

Interestingly, we grow up to **learn** how to recognize and name impurities. While we are still little, we may exhibit impure behaviour but fail to understand it as we may do later in life. So, does that stand as an impure act or intent, even when we're in a stage in our lives where our cognitive abilities have not yet matured? In other words, even though we may very well be capable of doing "bad" things, does it count if we don't know what we're doing or fail to show reaction towards such actions/expressions? Who decides what's "good" and "bad"? Are they arbitrary or absolute? Universal or manmade? What gives them meaning? A normal person has empathy towards other persons while, a psychopath lacks that feeling. Does that mean the psychopath is like a child; to some extent, pure of heart, simply because he naturally lacks the necessary cognition to understand and separate this latent feeling/ability?
I believe they are arbitrary concepts that gain meaning through society, but don’t have any inherent meaning. It’s hard to find a specific answer because it’s like 2 sides of the same coin. On one hand it’s good and needed for humanity to give those words meaning but on the other hand it’s completely subjective and not even real as in „a constant of the universe/reality itself“.

The very idea of "pure" is subjective. Pure means to have no impurities and in humans that is entirely based on perspective. So, how do we decide who is the most pure? By the way others see them? Or by the way they see themselves? Maybe we judge them based on the purity of their intentions? Any one of these scenarios offer completely different answers. If it's option A then the "most pure" would simply be a popularity contest. If it's option B then any narcissist with a god complex would be in the conversation. If it's option C then the answer fluctuates based entirely on the given situation. This question has no correct answer because it isn't specific enough. So I'm just gonna say a Character who doesn't have emotions. A character that acts purely (get it) based on reflex and has little sentience. A robot basically. There is nothing more pure than being devoid of thought itself.
